Philly cheesesteak (fries no included)
Andres L.

This place is my new go-to lunch spot when I'm on a break from my busy office work life. When you enter you get the cozy feeling like if you're in a NY pizzeria...but it's Miami!! I have visited this gem a few times already and each time I go I see frequent regulars stop by to dine inside or take out. They begin to chat with what appears to be the owner making the pizzas and the kind lady in the front taking orders. This proves to me that this place has loyal customers and I can see why! Loven Ovens offers New York Brick Oven style Pizza & Italian Food. they have a significant sizable menu with amazing options to choose from. In addition they have daily specials displayed on a board. Ive tried the "Hangover burger" , "Philly Cheesesteak" and the cheese pizza with sausages on top. Can't wait to try the other plates soon! This spot gets 5 stars for attention to detail, customer satisfaction, great service, and most importantly amazing fresh quality food.

Homemade cheese burger

This is the place to get your American food, best pizza and burgers. I prefer the homemade burger as this is the juiciest most freshest burger you can get around here in Medley. The space is big enough to bring your coworkers & friends. And the employees are always taking care of you. The music inside is good ole classics from the 80s-90s so you can jam out while waiting for your food. It's Best to say I'm LOVEN OVENS!

Loven Ovens is the Il Mulino of Medley (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hijJuTY6Csg) In a world of gas station restaurants, fast food, and industrial lunch trucks, Loven Ovens has comfortable sit-down dining, dim lights and a brick paneling in the bathroom. Oh and as an OCD foodie, they customized my dining order. This level of service is much appreciated when I need my Italian food fix, and I've been here more than once. A few things could be tweaked for a higher star rating though. Today I ordered my usual caprese; they call it a Crepe salad. The greens were all fresh, and the balsamic vinegar sweetly aromatic. Part 1 of my custom requests was plain rolls (instead of regular garlic) with regular butter. Score one! By the way, I also appreciate they have free soda refills and have raspberry iced tea. I also tried to order their bruschetta appetizer, but they were out by the time I ordered. Looking at the menu, I didn't notice if they had desserts either. It might be nice if the manager did a little walkthru with the clients as at other Italian places with their decor. Main course was a nice piece of chicken parmesan and spaghetti. They customized it with less cheese and more marinara, and the pasta was slightly past aldente. My chicken filet was was pretty sizeable but seemed a little thinner than I've had at other Italian restaurants. Their pizzas did look artistically prepared and I might try one of those next time (of course I might have had a Hawaiian some years back.)

I always stop in here when in the area, haven't had a bad meal yet. I'm hooked on the wings and salad but the pizza is delicious also.

Over priced and bad quality. The garlic rolls are sweet instead of savory. The pizza itself was very basic. I work in medley so my coworkers ordered from here to try them out. We won't be ordering again. We ordered two cheese pizzas and garlic rolls. The pizza was slightly better than little caesars quality which is bad to begin with. The sauce was sweet but had a weird aftertaste. The cheese itself looked orange and had a basic flavor to it. All in all this pizza is a 1/10.

Chicken parm with zitti

The best garlic rolls I've ever had. Pizza is delicious. Chicken parm is good. Great lunch deal. They serve beers and make heart shaped pizzas!!

This is their "extra cheese"

Pizza is terrible. Sauce tastes more like salsa than actual marinara. Mozzarella sticks were cold. Wouldn't recommend.

My wife and I have eaten here several times a month since they opened in 1975. We love it! My wife…read moreis Italian, and her grandmother (a phenomenal cook, BTW) would only eat out at this Italian restaurant. Personally, I have eaten just about everything on the menu, from their seafood combo, snapper francaise, eggplant Parmesan, to a simple spaghetti and meat sauce! And everything you hear about the garlic rolls is true! The staff is great. The owner frequently stops by our table and sits and talks for a while. Our regular waitress, Gabby, is like a daughter to us. She's also the bartender for their new bar area, so you will get a solid drink. Prior to Gabby, we had a waitress named Nixa, who invited us to her wedding. Unfortunately we lost her to cancer. But I guess you can understand how attached we are to this restaurant, primarily for the food, but for the family feeling we get. And we also see lots of our friends, many of whom started coming there on our recommendation.

50 years in the making this Italian joint looks and feels right out of the 1960s. Old school menu…read morewith 1990 prices. You will not starve from anything you order. Everyone has garlic knots on tables that look and smell amazing. However, they're a little hard due to probably being the oven longer and using the same pizza dough. We started with a white pizza that generally was good. Ricotta was smothered then topped with mozzarella. No garlic, oregano or EVOO so it seemed little too careless what could have been stellar pie. Meatballs were huge covered in red sauce and were nicely seasoned. Pastas were a little under-seasoned, huge portions that pooled water. Could have been a drained more carefully or sauces thicker. A few more teaspoons of parsley or a bit of fresh grated Parmesan would have elevated them. Veal Parm entree on the menu was crispy but smothered with mozzarella. It was a generous portion but it would have been great to get more of the contrasted breaded texture. Mussels seemed older than necessary and had a strong aroma. Asiago Gnocchi was a huge predominantly white plate filled with probably 24-30 dumplings. Drink menu had a lot of creative cocktails. Prices were very reasonable and the place gets busy with groups and families. Service was great and quick and the old timers made you feel at home.

Watching it being prepared fresh in the wheel and then tasting the rich, creamy flavor made it one of the best pasta dishes we've ever had. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and every detail of the experience showed how much pride the restaurant takes in delivering exceptional service. A special thank you goes to our server, Franciely, who truly went above and beyond to make our evening memorable. From the moment we sat down, she was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making sure we had the best possible experience. She took the time to answer our questions, checked on us frequently without being intrusive, and made us feel like valued guests throughout the entire meal. Her warmth, professionalism, and hospitality are exactly what great customer service should look like. By some struck of luck we had Bianca as our wheel chef, again. Months ago, when we first visited Divieto Doral, Bianca was our first wheel chef to prepare our pasta, and seeing her once again brought back great memories of that first experience. Her skill, enthusiasm, and attention to detail made the cheese wheel presentation just as impressive as we remembered. But the all star Franciely's exceptional service, and the outstanding food, it is clear that Divieto Doral is filled with amazing employees who genuinely care about their guests. The entire team helped create an unforgettable dining experience, and we cannot wait to come back. I really and truly want to to make sure my point gets across when I say "this place has been amazing to us every time we come, it's been part of the relationship me and my wife have and I truly enjoy this place". They hosted one of our first date, they hosted our valentines, and they have hosted our wedding dinner. Thank you so much to this location and its staff for everything and for the great memories. And yes... we made a reservation for next week and we plan to request Franciely! CANT WAIT TO BE BACK!

This restaurant was amazing (5/5), but the parking was terrible (1/5)…read more The service was amazing. They were both attentive yet not intrusive and I believe our server was from Northern Italy, so that added to the authentic vibe. The bread that they brought out was really good and we even asked for more, which caused us to fill up a bit before the main meal, but it was worth it. The mushroom risotto was absolutely amazing! Our server recommended it and he was so right! The best that I have ever had anywhere. The lobster ravioli, however, was not as good and was just a little bit too lobstery. IDK how to explain it but it felt like it needed some more cheese or something to balance it out. My friend who spent some time living in Italy said said that their pizzas were really good and felt very authentic. We didn't have a chance to try them because we were stuffed by the time we left! We asked to be seated on the patio overlooking the canal and it was nice because it was actually fully enclosed and also separated by a sliding door from the main restaurant so it felt more private. My only complaint is that the parking at this place is horrendous. More than half the spots were dedicated for valet parking (cone blocking the spot) and when we arrived. There was not a single self-parking spot available meaning we would have to pay for the valet which I didn't want to do. Thankfully one nice gentleman moved the cone in front of a valet spot and let us park there. If you want to park nearby, there is no other parking than in the restaurant parking lot because the side street has no parking/tow warning signs everywhere. Overall, I would definitely go back but be cautious about the parking situation (4/5 stars).
