I visited this pizzeria while in Doral for an in person meeting at the Miami office for my job. I am not from this area so I went to a pizzeria close by from my office so it was convenient. The pizzeria itself was very casual but clean and the staff was very friendly and welcoming as I arrived. I had the lunch special which included a pizza salad and a fountain drink. I thought it was very good and filling the pepperoni could have been a little better, but overall the pizza was delicious and crunchy. The salad was also fresh and the dressing for the salad was very good Caesar salad style. The fountain drinks offered free refills, which was a plus when I'm back in the area. I have visited this gem a few times already and each time I go I see frequent regulars stop by to dine inside or take out. They begin to chat with what appears to be the owner making the pizzas and the kind lady in the front taking orders. This proves to me that this place has loyal customers and I can see why! Oh and as an OCD foodie, they customized my dining order. This level of service is much appreciated when I need my Italian food fix, and I've been here more than once. A few things could be tweaked for a higher star rating though. Today I ordered my usual caprese; they call it a Crepe salad. The greens were all fresh, and the balsamic vinegar sweetly aromatic. Part 1 of my custom requests was plain rolls (instead of regular garlic) with regular butter. Score one! By the way, I also appreciate they have free soda refills and have raspberry iced tea. I also tried to order their bruschetta appetizer, but they were out by the time I ordered. Looking at the menu, I didn't notice if they had desserts either. It might be nice if the manager did a little walkthru with the clients as at other Italian places with their decor. Main course was a nice piece of chicken parmesan and spaghetti. They customized it with less cheese and more marinara, and the pasta was slightly past aldente. My chicken filet was was pretty sizeable but seemed a little thinner than I've had at other Italian restaurants. They have great lunch specials throughout the week. they are my go to for quick bite during my lunch break because they are close and very quick. They have the best garlic rolls, with a different take on it. I love their pizza, it is thin and crispy and always fresh. You can watch them make it right in front of you. I also had Loven Ovens cater for my job and they served over 235 delicious warm meals. They were easy to work with, and very accommodating! I was in the neighborhood of this place recently and since I had read nothing but great things here on Yelp, I couldn't pass up a chance to try it. I wasn't hungry at the time so I just got one lice to go. The slice was a ham and the guy behind the counter added some fresh minced garlic to the it after talking to him for a while. We got into a conversation about the Canes and somehow that lead to me loving garlic but I digress. (Canes fans are the best) When I got my slice, it looked great with big chunks of ham but not a crazy amount that it feels like you are eating a ham sandwich with pizza sauce. During lunch, I had the manicotti ($6, comes with garlic rolls) with alfredo sauce ($1 more) and with a side of a caesar salad (.50 cents more) and I must say it was a good Italian-American meal. Whether you were destined to get that restraining order for stalking, or instead, like me, you find yourself back at loven ovens after many months later. It's been a long road since that ROTD, and i've had allll sorts of pizzas. I would be so bold to say Loven Ovens is the reason I started yelping and developing my palette. As many pizzerias came into my mind, this place started to slowly sink to the back of my mind and drop down in spots of my top 10 pizza joints. It's back on my top 5. The problem was I was trying all these different types of pizzas, for all these types of prices, and when I got too ahead of myself, I was cutting corners in my mind and justifying letting them slip into my top spots. Top 4 All I really needed was a perfect slice, for a perfect price, in my neighborhood. I found myself making all the necessary turns that lead to Loven Ovens without really knowing. Detour there. Car accident there. Traffic shortcut here. Highway exit there. 5 minutes later I have my pep slice, drink, and two rolls. Perfect. Top 3 Loven Ovens is the type of place where they make amazing food. And they just can't help it. With minimal effort. Perfectly cooked. Seasoned just right. The pizza is amazing. The rolls are the best, hands down. The purple drank you can get by the cups, sweet. Welp after a few minutes of writing my first review out of boredom sitting there for 20 minutes before I even got my food I have to change it now that the food is actually in front of me. First of all I shouldn't have to wait 20 min for pre cooked pasta. It's not even warm. It's room temperature. 2nd when I ordered my Alfredo with pink sauce and meatballs I was expecting a few golden brown meatballs sitting on a creamy pink bed of Alfredo pasta. What I really got was 2 meatballs grayish color seasoned with a lot of adobo. Pink sauce? More like ..... HMmmmm can't describe it. So watery you need a spoon. When u pick it up with a fork the mystery sauce slides right off. My lunch also came with 2 garlic rolls. I expected warm toasted buns with yummy garlic melted butter. This place used to be so great back when they were located off of 82nd Ave and NW 12 street. When I found out they had relocated to Medley and only a few blocks away from my job, I was excited. It became my Friday lunch spot. Their lunch specials couldn't be beat. However, the past two years it has gone downhill, unfortunately. The pizza is not at all the same quality as it used to be and neither are the garlic rolls. Cleanliness has gone downhill, too. The pizza doesn't have much taste and often times is either burned, dry, or reheated and then serves. Garlic rolls are not very flavorful either and taste like crusty dinner rolls. Not sure where things went wrong or if they changed management/ownership but it would be great if they could improve back to the way they used to be. read more

Received my delivery order in less than the time quoted over the phone. Order taker was professional and explained all the choices I had, when I had questions. Food was really tasty. I ordered the calzone, cheese pizza and a wrap for my family. The seasoning on the calzone was what set it apart. Garlicky and salty without being too much. The only thing I would change was the grease, but pepperoni is greasy. So that's a nonstarter. The pizza was great. You can tell the marinara was made well and it was made in a brick oven which is the only good way to make a pizza. It's a bit overpriced as opposed to many other states I've been too but this is Miami. Miami lives in the overpriced and doesn't find that odd. All in all I would definitely recommend it. read more

The pasta (my boys had fetticunni Alfredo) is not the best. A little overcooked and too soft. I like al dente. The sauce Ok. We also had minestrone and salad. How the first person discovered this, I have no idea. But thank you! This restaurant is decked with overt references to Italy, but serves New York style pizza. My mom orders tiramisu at EVERY Italian restaurant, and this time, I couldn't help but sample. One of the best! We ordered mushrooms in mozzarella, and pepperoni pizza. We moved from the Kendall area 5 months ago and we've been looking for places in our area to replace our favorite eateries in Kendall. Cons: The garlic bread we got was very salty. Pros: The pizza and the steak and cheese sub were both very good. The bruschetta was ok. I would have liked it more if it had basil, but it was still good. The service is awesome. I would come to this place just for the service. We had our food to go but inside there were quite a few tables where people could sit and enjoy their meal. The place is nicely decorated as well. Stuffed in the middle of a basic shopping strip is this little golden nugget. Some of the best pizza in the area and with a slice and soda combo deal, it's hard to go wrong. Dump your slice with the garlic powder on hand for an even better experience if you don't mind the powerful punch your breath will be packing afterwards. Parking could be improved during lunch hours but the food is served quickly so it balances out. Owner is awesome and the staff is equally great. There is seating inside and outside. Some of the girls from the office and I ordered lunch from here today. We placed the order at 11:25 a.m. in an attempt to have our lunch arrive at a decent time. The delivery guy didn't show up until 2:00. The food that I had was nothing special (Though I am aware that it sitting in a van for over 2 hours may have taken away from the overall taste). I ordered the two slices of cheese pizza and a coke lunch special, nothing out of the ordinary. The pizza was forgettable, the garlic rolls that came with it were burnt and too hard to break apart. My review is for Loven Ovens' food only, as they have catered a couple recent lunches at my office. I have yet to make it out to Doral to check out the place in the flesh. I've tried the garlic rolls, the Caesar salad, the pizza, the meatballs, and the baked ziti. And man oh man, are those some good eats! I could probably eat nothing but their baked ziti for the rest of my life and die happy. It's that good. The garlic rolls are the perfect accompaniment, thought I wouldn't mind a little bit stronger flavor. A really good pizza/italian place in doral, came here at the last minute and it was a really nice, neat little place with Miami sports pariphinelia decorated around, very clean and comfortable. The menu had a variety to choose from between pizza both traditional and unique, get it by the slice, different lasagnas, pastas, stuffed shells, appetizers, salads, lots of dessert which I will have to go back for except we were in a rush. They have tv's going on for all the sports fans an d something to please everyone. I ordered a veggie pan pizza, my b.f. got half pepperoni and half bbq chicken.
