My husband and I were there just looking around a female employee seemed a bit too friendly with my husband, things got extremely uncomfortable and we walked out of the store. So the SO and I were heading back from a romantic area in PV and the topic of "sex shop" came up. lol. So with a quick search of the Yelp app on the handy dandy iPhone, A Touch of Romance pops up! If you have even been to a "sex shop" before, you probably know that you will either have an overall good experience, or a bad one. Seems these types of places are normally either clean and kept up or just down right dirty as all get out. This location was awesome! Clean store, nice staff, lots of clothing, toys, games, various oils and lotions, whips, chains, midgets riding wild oxen (ok maybe not the midget) and all kinds of fun and funny things to browse through. One thing that stood out is that they carried a full line of the "Karma Sutra" brand oils and care packages. Always good as a gift or what have you... Another thing that we lol'ed at was that they place most of their vibrators on display to "test". Not in a literal sense...well you know...just so that you can turn in on and chase your friend or SO around the store and watch them scream and laugh. Good times. On a side note, they have a cute little section for Brides. You know that when that special day comes, and you spend all that money on your dress, hair and makeup... you don't what to have your man rip your clothes off and find some old beat down and haggard undies, right? This store has some really cute "under garments" (did that sound adult enough?) and other frilly things to really get your man ready for the night's bedroom gymnastics! Check it out! I had gone here a couple years ago when I had just turned 18 and was legally of age to enter this place of business. I didn't find the place too interesting so I left not impressed, only to return 4 years later. I came here about a month ago with reservations about the place bc of my last experience. I thought this place was going to be just as blaaah as I had remembered it to be. I was wrong. I don't know if it was because I wasn't experienced or mature enough to fully appreciate this place or if they just got better stuff over time. I honestly spent 3 hours in here. And it's not a big place like Earmark down Beach Blvd. but this place sure used every inch of space they had to stock products! The thing about this place that I liked was that even though they had gimp masks, masturbators in the form of a porn star's ass, giant fists.. it still had somewhat of a 'classy' feel to it. Their selection is great, and what I really liked was that they had vibrators/dildos out as samples so you could actually see it in action! Well not in FULL action that is. Another good thing about this place is that they are more than happy to show you a product in more detail if just looking at the package isn't enough. Also if you do end up buying a battery powered toy, they battery check every item before you leave! The only thing I didn't really enjoy too much was their porn selection. I mean they have some interesting ones I've never seen before, along with your typical run of the mill stuff.. but they didn't have a lot of porn with Asians at least not very recent ones or any Voyeuristic ones. haha Overall though, they had a good selection in other goodies, and their service was top notch. A Touch of Romance is by our neighborhood Toys R Us which is quite interesting, but it is a pretty classy place. You do not think of a gross, dark, and creepy shop when you come to a Touch of Romance. Unlike other shops where they have creepy dudes or cool, yet crazy punk guys manning the shop, AToR has nice women who help you out! Some of them are older which is weird. It's like asking your grandma for advice but its always quite comforting. They have a bit of everything. Movies, toys, condoms, gag gifts, outfits, really cute corsets, shoes, and more. My girlfriend and I came here to find some outfits and she found the cutest leather corset! It was so hot. Realllly cute shoes too! Odd location, not a ton of stuff, but very comfortable, homey, and chill. They have enough for you to get started.
