Some of the sex shops that I've seen look pretty shady from the outside. A Touch of Romance doesn't. It might be because they remodeled the lot, but either way, I find it inviting, and not terrified that I'll be kidnap into being a slave in a sex dungeon. Been going here a lot over the last year. The selection is great and most of the staff is so cool. The store manager, Meagan Smith, is just awesome! It's a sex shop. It was a little difficult to find, considering it's so close to a Toys R Us, but once I got into the general area, I found it. I actually went when the entire building was under construction, which explains the difficulty finding it. What sets this place apart from others is that it definitely is not as shady as other places I've been to. It's not so dangerous to come to this place. The staff here are also quite friendly and aren't questionable at all. There are occasional sales on stuff here, so it pays to know what's on sale to get exactly what you need and when. Unfortunately, some things here can be ridiculously overpriced; for example, some of the sex toys are much cheaper online. Came to exchange it and was told They couldn't do it , it was against policy. The item was not used it simply did not work and would think this store would honor and replace a defective item. My friend and I came in, mainly for her, to look for a new toy. We were the only two people in the store, and all the workers were hawks on top of us. One saleslady was really great and helped explain the differences between each one. BUT, then another lady came up to us holding a box saying in their inventory they should have 8 of a certain item, but only had 7. I knew instantly she accused us of stealing, and I asked if she wanted to look in my bag, since I absolutely did not steal and had no problems showing her the inside of my bag. She said no rudely and gave me a look saying, "you know what you've done". My friend then felt forced to buy something to prove we weren't stealing, and then we were told rudely there will be no returns (which I totally understand, gross). I've never been accused of stealing, and left in tears because it was incredibly degrading. It's easy to say I won't be returning and will tell others to not come to this location. read more
