The store had what I needed, but the service was pushy and it felt like they were trying to upsell. I knew what I wanted because I know what worked for my body but the service lady tried to push a newer vibrator model with 3 speeds. It's like.... I know what I like and I don't need help getting what I need. If I needed help, I would have asked. At check out, she tried pushing us to buy the toy cleaner and when she asked me how I cleaned the toy, I mentioned with mild soap and water (as recommended by manufacturers and also my OBGYN), she started lecturing us (me) loudly and aggressively in front of everyone for using soap and water how it is bad for my urethra and vagina. Bear in mind, I bought the magic wand. It's not going in me. She continued loudly lecturing me about how soap leaves a residue that does not come off even with rinsing, and how the little bit of residue will cause irritation. It was embarrassing for my husband and I. I just wanted to pay and leave but she just kept lecturing us. She only let up when I said that we had the Swiss toy spray. I understand trying to sell us the toy cleaner but what she stated about soap is not true. By that logic, my husband's penis should not go in me because he washed his genitals with mild soap and water. Also, I use menstrual discs and those go in me and I also clean those with mild soap and water (as per manufacturer's guidelines and OBGYN advice). Weirdly uncomfortable experience. I came in with my boyfriend and told the worker that we were just looking but the worker kept mentioning and continuing to go into detail about what I was looking at even though I never asked any questions. I feel it was pretty obvious at this point that my partner and I were uncomfortable with the amount of talking they were doing about the toy and them saying it was "one of their personal favorites". I told the worker I was ready to check out and they proceeded to grab an extra of the toy (out of the box) and made my partner and I touch it in the middle of the store. Lovers is the Toys R Us for adults (age 18 & older), there are definitely no shortage of toys here. Hahaha. This is the biggest Lovers around, it's 3 stories with it's own private parking lot, also conveniently located off the freeway with late hours. The middle floor which you will enter is completely filled with lingerie and costumes, it's actually a great place to shop for Halloween outfits or raves. Their quality is wayyy better than ordering something off Ebay, most of the time I order things because there's a cute, kawaii girl modeling the outfit, but get absolutely disappointed at how cheap and thin the fabric is when it finally ship in a month, but I guess you get what you paid for. If you come here the day after Halloween, you can get a lot of costumes for deals. The top floor consist of DVD's, they have a wide selection and you will probably find a category that you are into. I don't know who buy DVDs anymore, but for those that don't want viruses on their computer or want "story-like" movies, come look here since the free stuff you find online is never over maybe 20 minutes and sometimes that's not enough. I must warn you to make sure that the DVD you take home is in the language you prefer because it's probably annoying to have to turn around to exchange when you're already at home about to enjoy solo movie night. The bottom floor is considered "wellness", it is all the miscellaneous items that was not found on the main or top floor. It has toys, condoms, etc. There's at least somebody on each floor available to answer all your questions and help you out. I see annoying kids that just turn 18 come here all the time just for the sake of legally being allowed to be here and the staff always seem so patient. At first it was the same old story, though my Force senses told me her resistance and desire to play hard to get was waning. Then I popped in the DVD and, upon getting to a scene with someone portraying me, her eyes got all big, she looked at me all astounded and said "is that true?" I played a mind-trick on her to convince her that it was (I mean Christ, I'm a Sith, not Lexington Steele), and just like that, she was mine. She kept moaning something like "Oh God, this is so wrong, but who cares?" I have no idea what she was talking about - I mean hell, the Mister Fister was still unopened in the bag! That pillow thing really came in handy a couple of times. So, thanks Lovers, you were the last piece of the puzzle. Now I just have to figure out why she's so insistent we don't tell anybody about us because they wouldn't understand. She's always so cryptic. She didn't originally strike me as such a private person who values discretion, but whatever. It's all good. Honeydew Underwear (that of cute, ruffle-butted fame) should NOT be close to $17 when even Nordstrom's carries them for $14 or less. Corsets ranged from $30 (on major sale) to the steep $100 and above. And I personally would never buy pills of any kind from a place other than a pharmacy/drugstore but they sold some mysterious ladies pleasure something or other for $14 for ONE pill. Given all the places I've looked for my Halloween costume and accessories (many reviews to follow today), I'm almost surprised to say this was near the top, if not the best, selection. Obviously limited to fairly.."ahem"; sexy, attire, they did have some that were not *uber* slutty, and offered a plus size section for the bigger ladies as well. Some of the outfits could even pass as club wear, and definitely roleplay/fantasy. They, however, do not carry ANY body stockings in nude. I really like the Tukwila Lover's store. Their selection is incredible. I go to this store almost entirely for the lingerie selection, as they have quite the selection of outfits, babydolls, costumes, shoes, underwear, etc... Everything is neatly organized, and the staff are very helpful and and friendly. They have two other levels which have your adult toys, whips, videos, and more, but I wouldn't be able to comment on that since I haven't ventured past the main level. The dressing rooms are in the back, and are nice and private. They frequently change their selection, so if you can't find something in your size (which is sometimes my case, as I, apparently, have a very common size) come back in a week or two and they'll have more. Their prices are fair... The quality of the lingerie leaves something to be desired, however, isn't too bad, and serves it's purpose. They also have quite a bit of the boxed "Leg Avenue" costumes and such, which are priced higher than what you would pay to buy them online, and you can't try them on (which is kind of understandable, to an extent). What can I say, they've got what I need. Checking in on Yelp gets you some good deals too! Staff are friendly and discreet, and they know their products. They are quick to help and make suggestions but will leave you alone if you would rather shop on your own, which is good since a lot of people do get embarrassed just by the nature of the products. I personally am okay with discussing the merits of certain products over others, but I also enjoy browsing even though I will probably never buy a lot of the items on offer. Note that I generally spend more of my time...downstairs, so I can't speak for the price or quality of lingerie etc. Also, they now have a rewards program... I've been looking for a really good quality corset for my Halloween costume and (future costumes) and I knew lovers would have it. I had tried on those cheap ones at the Halloween store but hated the material and look of it. I was in the area Saturday night so I decided to stop by and check it out. The girl that helped me sat was really patience with me and helped me pick out about 4/5 to try on. I really had no idea what I was doing and I was probably really flustered with sizing and every thing because I paid for a bunch of things then left. Went home to try on the corset with the whole costume and ended up hating how the corset had a caged halter look to it so I came back Sunday to exchange it. I like both the red and black one I tried on so I just got them both to exchange for the other one I got the day before.
