mid but much needed to soak up the alcohol. id say better than boichik and worse than laundromat if compared to sf. worse than blackseed if compared to nyc. respectable amount of schmear though

Pastrami Egg & Cheese on a yeast bagel

Went early in the morning, and we got their pastrami, egg, and cheese on their famous yeast bagels. I haven't had a yeast bagel before, but it was really delicious. We also got their mini latkes - a bit oily but very crispy and tasty. Coffee was unmemorable. Seating was either stools at the counter and table seating, but we just sat at the high tops nearby.

It was over $100 for 1 turkey sandwich, 1 lox bagel and 2 Ruben sandwiches (after tip). No drinks, no chips, just 4 sandwiches. I felt it was extremely expensive for what you get. There are so many other great food spots in the oxbow, unfortunately I highly doubt I would choose this one again.

Tiny matzo ball soup

We're a bagel family so we stopped by Loveski to grab breakfast. It's a Jew-ish (not Kosher) deli with a lot of our favorites. We ordered the smoked salmon sandwich on a sesame bagel and a tuna melt on a Yeast bagel. For sides, we ordered the latkes and a "tiny" size matzo ball soup. As the kind of person who loves the sides at Thanksgiving, its no surprise that I most enjoyed the latkes and the soup. The latkes had the perfect ratio of potato and onion, and they were fried so they had a crispy exterior and a fluffy, savory interior. They came with sour cream, plus applesauce if you ask for it. The soup had a flavorful chicken broth, well cooked diced vegetables, and one ample sized matzo ball. It was advertised as "tiny" but it was just right as a portion for one person. The smoked salmon was the better of the two bagels. It had a good amount of schmear, salmon, and all the toppings. The tuna was fine and we even liked the yeasty bagel, but it may have just been too much bread for a sandwich like that.

Avocado and Radish Bagel

Seriously the best bagel I've ever had. My husband and I were leaving bottlerock and stopped here for breakfast. I will now crave the avocado and radish and the whitefish bagel! Definitely coming back!

Service was friendly and prompt. It was a nice morning, and was quite peaceful for a Monday at 7:40ish and people just trickling in. I had the yeast bagel with salmon cream cheese. Pretty standard, but for the price, the bagel wasn't toasted and/or chewy. Maybe I'm missing something but it wasn't impressive for the price.

Best NorCal bagel so far I don't know why this only has 3.7 stars because I love this place. My dad loves coming to Oxbow early in the morning and getting this for breakfast. We normally come early enough that the line isn't big when we go, but I guess that might be the reason for the lower stars. The line does tend to get really long. I love ordering their smoked salmon because that is the quintessential bagel, and I love it every time. The everything bagel is soft, but has a good crunch. The salmon is flavorful, the cream cheese and dill with capers and onions are just the best combo. It's such a great breakfast. It's a nice quick bite in a market that tends to get really busy. So if you really wanna try this, the early bird gets the worm.

I love me a good Jewish deli, especially one pumping out fresh bagels and cream cheese! Loveski did not disappoint! Located inside of the Oxbow Public Market, this little booth is serving up classic Jewish hits like house made pastrami, bagels, tuna and egg salad, and other hits. We preferred to just grab an everything bagel with some house made herb cream cheese on this visit. After a long wait for a bagel, hence the minus one star, we were able to dive in. What a treat! There is of course great people watching in the market as well which makes the ambiance fun and lively. Great spot!

Ordered the potato latkes to go. Clearly, they were refried or fried too long. My order took forever to come out. By the time I opened it to try I was already at another location and too lazy to drive back. I ate three because I was starving- doused in sour cream and apple sauce - huge regret. Going to toss the rest. Super bitter. Bleh. Also, the lady that packed my Togo order just gave me the box and when I asked for a bag she rolled her eyes and tossed a paper bag on top of my container. Won't be returning.

Located inside of Oxbow Public Market, Loveki's Deli is definitely a nice addition to the selection of restaurants available there! Walk up to the counter to order, and find a seat at one of the tables they have available right in front of the food stall. As a first timer, I thought it was only right that we try one of their classic sandwiches! We got The Tribute that has pastrami on rye, coleslaw, Swiss, and Russian dressing. They give a generous portion of pastrami, which was tender and very tasty! A good mix of freshness and creaminess from the coleslaw and dressing! I enjoyed this one! I really loved their Mini Potato Latkes! I got an order of 5, and they were perfectly crispy and went great with the sour cream and apple sauce. Next time I'm definitely getting the order of 10, and I'm not sharing! Hehe. Wanted to try their bagels as well, so we got an everything bagel with their Miso Vegetable Cream Cheese that I thought sounded interesting! There are chunks of vegetables mixed in the cream cheese, and the miso flavor isn't too strong. If you order this combo as a bagel sandwich, it will also come topped with furikake. Will come back to try some more of their sandwiches and DEFINITELY get some more of those latkes!

Saw this place got voted best bagel in the Bay Area, some say it's the most representative of a NY bagel, so we had to come here to try. We had our doubts, but upon biting into the "famous yeast" version, we became believers. Slightly toasted, has a great chew, love the yeasty favor without being obscured by other seasoning. Wow, if we didn't get the last one we would've purchased more to take home.

Loveski's never ceases to amaze me. We always make it a point to stop by while in Napa, and this December was no exception! My husband got to eat a perfect sammie on his birthday this year thanks to Loveski's! He's a pastrami lover and we love that they added a simple pastrami sandwich to their menu (def try the Tradition). Pastrami on rye with a bit of Batampte mustard is the way to go! Simple and satisfying. Thankful for this little deli in Oxbow! Ps. The pickle is now included!

Smashed Chickpea Sandwich

Tucked away in the corner of the Oxbow Public Market, a Napa mainstay, is Loveski, a fresh deli addition to the food hall's offerings. By no means are their bagels comparable to those in New York, but while in a pinch, they can do the job and satisfy that craving. My friends ordered the sandwiches while I had the sesame bagel with smoked salmon spread. The smoked salmon was nominal but the cream cheese portion was pretty sizable. My friends' sandwiches, namely the smashed chickpea and the egg salad, looked pretty divine and every dish came with a salty pickle. No, not a slice, but the whole jawn. If you need a carb load before a day of vino indulgence, Loveski is a good option. I'd probably opt for Gott's my next time up though. Cant miss with a classic burger.

The restaurant has a counter-service setup where you order first and then find a table, but the layout is a bit tough. There isn't really any free space to stand and review the menu before getting in line without completely blocking the way. I ended up ordering an almond croissant and the loaded chorizo potatoes. I was so excited for the potatoes since it combines three of my favorite things: potatoes, hollandaise, and chorizo. Unfortunately, the taste just didn't live up to the presentation. The chorizo tasted nothing like traditional chorizo, almost like a completely different meat. The dish was heavily doused in sauce that it totally overpowered the flavor. I didn't even manage to eat half of the serving. The saving grace was definitely the almond croissant, which was delicious. It was perfectly buttery yet crispy, and topped with just the right amount of almonds and chocolate. Overall, I think the main breakfast dishes are worth skipping. I don't think I would return here for a meal, but if I had to come back, I would strictly stick to their pastries.

I think the most surprising thing about the ambience this time was the fact that we sat in a corner booth (towards the front door), which used to be a favorite space for me ironically, and the white wood blinds were absolutely filthy. Boon Fly pays a lot of detail to a lot of other little details, so I'm hoping they will take a harder look at the dining room surroundings and make sure those get genuinely cleaned.
