I've been coming to this spot for a couple of years and their sandwiches are always on point. I usually do the create-your-own and they've been super consistent every time. Great customer service. The sandwich was average, at best. I opted for a build your own sandwich and asked for it to be made into a panini. I think the gentleman making my sandwich pressed the bread by itself first and then made the sandwich because everything was cold and the cheese was not melted at all. Arik, the owner of Ranch Market corresponeded with me offline stating the legalities, or really illegalities of folks using the rest room there. The building is too old to offer public bathrooms or even let anyone but employees use it. I believe Arik in this instance. I just wish I would have known that previous to our little spat but regardless, the owner came to his defense and gave me a damn good reason hence this retraction. I have been going to ranch market for YEARS. My grandfather was friends with the owner.. they worked together at PG&E and we always went there for sandwiches. I was in town today and decided to get a sandwich and... man.. the customer service has gone down. Lillyanna was RUDE and did not do my sandwich correct. Mayo was light when i asked for regular mayo and light mustard and she put light mayo and a lot of mustard........... she was rude when I asked to have her correct it. Upon arrival all the employees were standing around and having a convo.... I went back to have my sandwich corrected she offered a discount but the other guy behind the counter (black male) was rude and said you'll have to wait 10 minutes.... I am sorry but if i make a mistake i make sure to take my time and address the problem. Not put it off. How very sad, I was hopeful that we could find something to replace the loss to the community in Napa that was vallergas market. This clearly was not it. While the sandwich is approximately 6 inches long and 4 inches wide and gives generous portions, the quality of meat and cheese and other ingredients are something I can get at target including the bread just low quality packaged bread. No customer service to speak of they took our order, then said pay at the register that was it. Payed at the register and just a hi. Then back to the sandwich counter to hand over our proof we paid and all we got was ok out of them after asking if they needed the receipt. I asked about the meat quality and the bread and ingredients it is convenient store or target low quality brands. Well at least they were honest. I never like having to go back and forth to different parts of the store to order and pay and back again. The sandwich a Firenze the vinegar was omg overwhelming. Clearly when all your ingredients come from a jar on a self in your convenience store it's drenched in vinegar and hold on let's add more for a seasoning and not warn the customers. I couldn't taste the meat at all and I said to myself " but I don't want to be a vegan" $11. Is what I paid for this experience in veganism, reminds me of the hamburger commercial were is the meat, lol. Starting with the positive for this review: the portions of meat on the sandwiches were generous. That's about all the positive I can give. Hubby and I came to the store for a second time to try and get sandwiches. The first time we came after 4 pm and was told the deli counter closed at 3 pm. The only customer interaction we had was when we ordered sandwiches went to pay and when they were done being made. The two behind the deli counter were conversing with each other but not with the customers unless thee was a question or orders being taken or given. We got a couple of Firenze sandwiches. There was an overwhelming vinegar flavor that took away from the flavor of the rest of the sandwich. I was hoping this was going to be like the deli in the old Vallerga's market that was around for many years they used boars head meat. This place used a lower quality meat and charged almost $11. And Just for a couple more dollars I could of gotten my favorite sandwich from the Genova deli that has super high quality meat and a lot better customer service. read more

I went on their website, and on their menu it says you can text your order in so that it'll be ready for pick up. I texted it in, and received a text back saying my order will be ready in 10 min. I picked up some drinks and chips, and went over to the deli where my sandwich was waiting for me. The young man at the counter was friendly, and thanked me. Ranch Market is a very local chain. They have another one (far more ritzy, with an upscale deli) in Yountville. They have a random assortment of food&household items. They have Thanksgiving Coffee from Sonoma, Amy's vegetarian/vegan meals out of Petaluma, TCHO chocolate out of San Francisco. On the other hand, they have salsas from Rhode Island, Swanson broths, and Vermont's Ben&Jerry's. Unlike many other convenience stores, they have a somewhat extensive produce section. Pros- Most items are at reasonable prices. An extensive parking lot, despite the fact they share it with two barbershops, a seafood market, and a UPS store. Cons- Like many convenience stores, they can have everyday items at otherwise outrageous prices. The deli section was dimly lit, and the two employees stationed at it were on the phone and/or inattentive. Ranch Market is good for what it is. read more

This place won me over when I discovered that they carry coca-cola imported from Mexico. Mexi-coke utilizes real sugar rather than high-fructose corn syrup, giving the beverage a more authentic taste. The sweetness reminds me of how coca-cola tasted when I first remember enjoying the product overseas, especially in Europe and the middle-east. So, for $1.50 plus tax I can reminisce with one of the most evil products in consumer history. Yay! And for $2.00, I can buy a Gatorade. And for $4.39 I can walk away with a bottle of windex. And for $19.00 per pound, I can go home with some Manchego. A pack of American Spirits will cost me about $6.00. What the hell is going on here? Why am I paying New York City prices for these goods? Not sure when this happened, but the sandwiches are bomb. I've been here many times before and since moving to the other side of town I haven't been to Ranch Market in almost a year. Last time I came was before Vallergas closed and I was disappointed in my sandwich and the customer service so never had the urge to come back but after my sandwich earlier this week I'll definitely be back, the quality of the sandwich was a 10. This is now our go to place for Lunch when we are out wine tasting in the Napa Valley. The sandwiches here are so awesome!. The NY Pastrami has 1/2 lb of meat on it. The have a great selection of Sandwiches to chose from or order your own take on a sandwich. All Sandwiches are made to order. I dont know where they get the bread for the sandwiches but they taste like they were made that morning. Ive been walkin over here for about 15 years. When i was like 9 id Go with a $1.07 and get myself a soda then hit up The Loose Caboose and get myself a model car. Found this little market near our hotel in the hunt for some cold medicine and water. It's a cute little shop with quite a large selection of medicine, toiletries, and alcohol.
