    yacht club sandwich

I LOVEDDDDDD my experience at Annie's Lunchbox. Such a cute little unassuming food truck then BAM one of the best sandwiches I've ever had in my life. I got the yacht club which was, yes, $18 but it was absolutely massive and I ate it between two meals. THIS is a sandwich. Can't wait to come back omg, please give it a try!

Fun to see the Vallergas legacy continue on. They were cranking when we were there! Amazing what they can do in such a small space. The spinach dip was soooo good and great to have again. We ordered 4 sandwiches and potato salad, macaroni salad and the spinach dip and it was $90.00. May need to have a little more meat in the sandwich. Pricey but not completely out of line with Genova Deli.

These are the best sandwiches in Napa. My family is a big fan of the yacht club and the salsa Rico sandwiches.

I didn't taste salt at all . WHATI taste was delicious meat that was falling off the bone. YAY!! It's a small clean restaurant with window dining. You know , a long thin bistro-type table up against the window with stools, so you can look out, while you're having your meal. There's also outdoor seating, if you're so inclined. Did you hear me say "clean?" I didn't want you to miss that observation. The owners work their restaurant and thank God for that. Teresa is the face of the establishment . She took my orders, I took her suggestions and the chef, Teresa's husband, really knows what he's doing! He in charge is the kitchen. Not only does he know his stuff when it comes to the BBQ but he also makes their Banana Pudding!! Loved his take on the pudding. Oh!! I had their potato salad and It was good. You know you always take your chances with someone else's potato salad but theirs is pretty darn good. Had boiled eggs in it and that is always worth some major points! They offer Mack & Cheese that looked pretty good and I think coleslaw. They have other meats as well. You'll have to look em up. Anyway - if you have a hankering for ribs Biscuits BBQ is right downtown. Easy parking in the shade too. You should try it. I'll go out on a limb and tell ya "you can't go wrong." this review was deleted, so wrong! do better tarla…read more I honestly cannot believe I am writing this because this experience was so outrageous that it sounds made up. My mother went to Tarla yesterday with her best friend and ordered a couple of appetizers, which they actually enjoyed. Unfortunately, things took a very different turn when she ordered the crab sandwich and it came out with a brown color to it. When she took a bite, the taste was so awful that she immediately rejected it and could not swallow it. She politely brought this to the server's attention because she genuinely thought there might be something wrong with the food. The server responded with something along the lines of, "Hold onto your pants," and walked away. About 15 minutes later, the cook/chef came over. What happened next was completely unacceptable. Instead of simply listening to my mother's concern, the cook became extremely upset and began raising her voice loud enough for everyone to hear at my mother in front of the entire restaurant. She told my mother that "younger people know this kind of food, but older people world not" (blatantly calling her old multiple times) What makes that statement even more ridiculous is that my mother has 45 YEARS of experience working in the restaurant industry and managing restaurants in Napa Valley. She understands food, restaurants, and restaurant operations extremely well. My sister also worked at this restaurant as a server for quite a long time, so our family is very familiar with the restaurant and the industry. We are not people who walk into a restaurant looking for something to complain about. My mother calmly asked what exactly she supposedly "didn't understand ". The cook then explained that the crab was pasteurized. When my mother said "so it's cooked?" , she said yes and then proceeded to tell her that the crab came from a can. "We just opened up a new can, nothing is wrong" Again, the issue was never that the crab was canned or pasteurized. If that is how the restaurant chooses to prepare and serve its food, that is their choice. The issue was that my mother took one bite, became sick from the taste, and politely asked about it. She deserved to have her concern heard without being belittled. By the end of the interaction, my mother said the entire restaurant was staring at them. She felt completely humiliated and was made to feel as though she was stupid and simply didn't understand what she was talking about. She absolutely understands what she was talking about. After 45 years in the restaurant business, being publicly spoken down to and made to feel ignorant about food by someone who was supposed to be addressing a customer's concern is incredibly disrespectful. The appetizers were good, but no food is worth being treated this way. A customer should be able to say, "Something tastes wrong to me," without being embarrassed in front of an entire dining room. This wasn't about the crab. It was about basic respect and how a customer was treated when she raised a legitimate concern. I'm sharing this here because Tarla is a local Napa restaurant, and I genuinely want to know if anyone else has experienced something similar there. I'm not posting this to start drama or attack anyone; I'm posting it because I truly believe customers deserve to be treated with basic respect, especially when they calmly bring a legitimate concern to a restaurant's attention.

And just to turn it up a notch, the Chronicle also has them in the Top 25 Best Restaurants in Wine Country. I happened to be in Napa running some errands and decided to finally check them out. I met the owner who was pretty chill and friendly plus took my order. I was there for the chicken sandwich of course, but also wanted to try their Philly Cheesesteak sandwich I've seen on their menu. I also ordered some seasoned fries and a Mexican Sprite. The fries were nicely seasoned and crispy. The chicken had the perfect crisp to it and was juicy inside. The coleslaw inside gave the sandwich a nice tangy twist, while the hot honey had a nice balance of both sweet and spice. I did have a bit of a challenge attacking this since it was a huge sandwich, but I definitely liked it. The Cheesesteak was a bit messy (in a good way) but was a nice size for a full one; probably should have gotten a half one but oh well. The sliced steak was tender and juicy, while I also enjoyed the flavors of the cherry peppers and garlic mayo. Would definitely order this again. This was an experience I'm glad I finally had the opportunity to check out. Will go back hopefully soon to try some other items.
