What a pleasant surprise! Since moving to GA we have been nothing but disappointed by the food options, but Loving Hut was awesome. The food was fresh and flavorful and there were tons of options to chose from. They even have a little grocery area where you can buy some fun vegan finds. The restaurant is casual, but has a bright and warm ambiance. We live an hour away and I would seriously drive up just to go here. It's not mind blowing or fancy, but its good quality food with lots of flavor and no animal cruelty involved. A win in my book. read more

I didn't want to come back to this location today an unfortunate event happened so we were back in this area. We ordered to go and I spent 10 mins on the phone trying to order a gluten free dish for my partner and it seemed like an impossible task. After nailing down our dishes of Sweet and Sour island, eggplant and tofu and curry soup (we wanted a GF falafal wrap but they apparently couldn't put it on a GF wrap even though they had that. ) After getting to the restaurant and i was able to speak face to face with one of the sons, the service got a LOT better. I was finally able to get them to understand what I wanted in terms of the GF wrap and we got that order swapped for the curry soup Great, at this point, im thrilled. Headed home with food and so excited to dig in and what do we have?? - the saltiest sweet and sour island /bean curd I've ever tasted in my life. I think they dump a whole can of salt in it. I thought my mother in law was exaggerating since it was her favorite dish but holy cow, she was not. It was terrible. -mine was next and they always nail this one so surely there would be no trouble. Well, long and behold they gave me just plain eggplant with no tofu. Wtf. I specifically told him tofu with eggplant, not this wholely tofu dish he kept saying and he confirmed on the phone that it was tofu with eggplant . A friend found this place online and it's such a nice place in regards to the people there and the vibe they give. I had never been but everything on their menu looked appetizing and it is vegetarian. Our waitress was super sweet and gave great recommendations. Now, I am not vegetarian so I feel I am being a bit unfair in this but I did not care for their protein/ meat imitations. It tasted fake and a bit bland but many of their other dishes were great, like their shrimp imitation. I guess I was expecting it to be exactly like meat even though I knew it wasn't. I bought 4 things just to try the food as it's about a 30 minute ride from my house. Golden Nuggets (very good), Crispy Dumplings (very little filling in each, crispy and delicious), Pad Thai (mostly noodle, very floury once it started to get cold - wouldn't buy again) , and Falafel Wrap  (wrap enjoyable if you like Falafel - not worth $11, sweet potato fries were delicious!). Overall - the food tastes freshly made, and delicious. Tons of options on the menu. I would like to try some of their other dishes. This place is packed with so much surprise that it'll sweep you off your feet. When me and a friend first entered the place we were surprised not to find the traditional seating but more a lounge set up. Then the kind lady at the front desk showed us into the dining area. She gave us the menus to take along. One glance thru the menu and we realized that we're are not at any ordinary restaurant but a place with a mission to make a difference to this planet with Vegan food. We ordered the pot stickers and the chowmein from the menu and both of them were fresh , tasty and well made. I asked for spicy chowmein (picture included) and my friend took the normal one. I wasn't sure to give Loving Hut a three or four star rating, but the Supreme Master made me give four. (You have to go to Loving Hut to understand this!) This is definitely an interesting place. On the night of our visit there were two separate tables with white Rastafarians, an attractive young lady with no bra (sweeeet) but with long hair under her arms. (not too sweet), and the table next to us had what we assumed was a baby wrapped in swaddling clothes, but which turned out to be a pet pig. The menu is great for vegetarians and vegans, tons of things to try. Spicy Cha Cha Cha was an ambitious attempt to recreate a shrimp appetizer. We ate these up pretty quick. Saintly Stir Fry was a rice noodle and vegetable dish that was good, but nothing that you couldn't make at home. Overall a solid comfort food dish with good flavors. I had read Tamara S's review and knew i wanted to try the Seven Seas Delight. As always, go with Tamara's advice! These crispy bean curds wrapped in seaweed were really good. Great taste, great texture. As noted by others, service should be stepped up a bit. They are super friendly, but it seems they are disorganized both in the front and in the kitchen. Food comes out at different times so tables get about half of their entrees at a time. In our case we were sharing anyway, so it worked out, almost like a planned meal of appetizer, pasta course, and entree. I have ordered from Loving Hut 4x's so far, and I really enjoy the flavor of the food. I recently went back to being vegetarian, and this place makes it easy to stay focused considering they are less than 5 minutes from my job. The service when dining-in is sub-par I must say. We waited a while for service, and they don't check on you to make sure everything is ok. I wasn't aware that they don't bring you a check; you just go to the checkout counter to pay. The atmosphere offers a "make yourself at home" type feel. I love that they educate their guests with vegan reading materials and they offer vegan food items for sale. I do not like that they use soy in most of their dishes, but you can request "no soy" when ordering. The Sandy Springs location has better menu options in my opinion. So far, I love everything that I have tried; specifically the: BBQ Sticks appetizer, Love Ocean soup, PhoSoup, Sushi roll, Spring rolls, Heavenly Salad, and Spinach Wrap. The flavor is awesome, and I never feel like I'm deprived of meat. This place is great for people who want to explore their inner vegan without breaking the bank. I visited the Loving Hut again on 4/21/2016 and I have now been coming to this place for a few years. I do love the spring rolls and the coconut cake sooooo much. Its sad when you are addicted to certain foods. They just call your name when you pass by. I have turned a few friends on to this place. Since I am a big customer service freak, I would need to say that some of the staff lacks good customer service character. I usually call in my order and still have to wait 20-30 mins when I arrive to pick it up. This is not cool at all, so I plan to extend my visit when I place an order because I know they are slow. Even though I give them four stars because of my two favorite items, I must say that they do charge 1.50 for the whole foods sodas they sell here. At Whole foods Dr. Snap is 69cents I think, so why over charge by so much. Vegan food in the burbs! Loving it! I am super grateful to have Loving Hut close to work. The food is great and the staff are warm and friendly. I am currently hooked on the Pho. I am not aware of any other place in Atlanta that offers vegan Pho so this is quite a treat. The bok choy dish is also amazing! The lunch portions are huge, in fact they are the same size as the dinner portions but they are offered at lunch prices- score! Loving Hut also has a variety of fresh juices and desserts. I have always been too full to try these but they look delicious. Don't be skeered if you're not a vegan, even the most carnivorous palates will delight in the selections here. I do suggest going to the Loving Hut in Sandy Springs because this one in Norcross has TERRIBLE service. My friend and I sat ourselves & waited about 10 minutes for them to come take our order. When I asked the guy that originally brought us our water where our server was, he simply said "I don't know" and walked away. Then, he came back five minutes later and of course it just had to be him. We ordered: Cha cha cha, nachos, chili cheese fries, and a noodle dish. The cha cha cha was amazing! This was my first time coming to Loving Hut in Alpharetta. I usually go to the one located in sandy springs. This location have more of a variety of different menu options than the loving hit in sandy springs. I came in on an empty stomach and left a happy camper. This place is amazing! I have not been in person, but the BF and I got delivery from them this weekend. I was really in the mood for soup so I ordered the pho, and the BF got the vegan burger. We also got an order of potstickers to share. The price was pretty inexpensive, so TBH I was a little worried the portions might be small or the quality not the best, but I'm happy to say that neither of those were true! The pho was huge and very filling. Since pho is traditionally made with meat broth, vegetarian versions sometimes miss the mark, but the broth was very flavourful. And came with lots of noodles, bean sprouts, tofu, and what looked like it was meant to be a beef substitute. The only thing I wish I'd that there were maybe more mushrooms. My boyfriend also really enjoyed his burger, which came with fries and a salad. He often doesn't eat the salads at restaurants because they just throw a few pieces of bland lettuce together, but unsurprisingly since it's a vegetarian restaurant, the salad was actually good. We both also enjoyed the potstickers. I also appreciated that the food came in biodegradable packaging and bags (except for the pho, but you can't really do much about soup to go).
