They are very accommodating and always have time to answer our questions and fit us in for any last minute appointments we may need. I can't say enough about everyone here. I'm so glad we found them when we moved from the Santa Cruz area, I didn't think I would find a vet that was as good as Capitola Vet, but we got very lucky finding Northridge Animal Medical Center. Our dogs are the most important thing to us, and had we not found Northridge Animal Medical Center, we may have moved away by now! She could not eat or sleep. She suffered for two days, I brought her back as a walk in first thing Sat morning. The assistant checked her and said I needed to take her to an emergency facility. I almost gave in, but I asked why Dr Pitt can't see her? After all This happened after he gave Sam the injection. The assistant then said Dr Pitt can see Sam. Another helper came in to take her weight, I asked why? The weight was taken two days ago. The people work there don't bother to check the history, and it is a life or death matter! I could not bear to see Sam suffer more, so I refused more tests, X-rays. I request to let her go. But I want to be with her at the last minutes. Then another assistant comes in to take her away. They robbed me the last 10-15 minutes to be with her!!! I do not want her be terrified without me, but that's exactly what they did. They take her away!!! I am crying hard even now. When they bring her back,her tongue is hanging out, they have given her tranquilizer. Then doc comes in to give her the injection, she is gone in seconds. I am crying because they let her last 15 min on earth being so sick and fearful, without me holding her. I only know afterwards they take her to be catheterized, they put a needle in her forearm. They treat a dying pet with no mercy. I am heartbroken. Spent $1000 in two visits. My Sam is forever gone. Dr Pitt has a good reputation, I am not disputing that. but I am extremely angry about the way Sam was handled her last 15 min on earth.

On July 9, I brought my dog in for allergy treatment. I spent over $365 on the visit, including allergy injections, yet his condition showed little to no improvement. At checkout, I was told to bring him back for a follow-up within 14 days. My invoice clearly showed the follow-up exam fee as $0. However, when I called to schedule the follow-up, I was told I would have to pay $65. When I questioned why the invoice listed the fee as $0, no one could provide a reasonable explanation. It felt like the clinic was making up policies as they went along. Another frustrating issue was the inconsistency in how appointments are handled. During my last visit, I was suddenly told that my dog would be taken to the back and examined there instead of in the exam room with me present. I explained that this had never been their normal process during the many years I've been coming here. I even showed photos from previous visits where the veterinarian examined my dog in the exam room. I had to argue my case because they initially wanted to charge me for a doctor examination while only having a technician take my dog to the back, allegedly because they were running behind schedule. The lack of consistency, poor communication, and unexpected charges have completely eroded my trust in this clinic. As pet owners, we rely on honesty, transparency, and compassionate care. Unfortunately, I no longer feel confident that this clinic provides those things. After many years as a customer, I will be taking my dog elsewhere. I walked in, filled out the form, and waited for about 20 mins with no appt. The girls that helped me out were so sweet and helpful. They took Apple Pay as a form of payment which was super convenient. The waiting area itself is kind of small, but they having some seating outside as well. The parking here gets packed as well. I had to park on the street and walk about to 2 mins to get there, so it wasn't anything crazy. Overall, great experience! I've been recommending this place to everyone lately.

Just from experience, since mine was too anxious to get close and then some people didnt leash their dogs/kitties. But I came and received my pups low cost vaccines and the vet(vet tech?) was super gentle with her. Pretty much took only 45 minutes. And I received my booklet and receipt of the services I took. And no wait at all when we went first thing in the morning! This is mostly a vaccine clinic but they do general wellness stuff. They don't have the ability to do blood tests or imaging (they work out of a RV) - so if the issue is major we still take our babies to the regular vet. But it's totally fine for small issues. Later, I received a rude call from the front desk and a voicemail from the vet saying everything was fine, my cat just has gingivitis, and I would need to go somewhere else for treatment. So I paid close to $900 just to be told what I already suspected--and that they can't actually help my cat. This experience felt like a complete waste of time and money. The communication was misleading, and the way things were presented caused unnecessary stress. I spent the next day genuinely believing my cat might have cancer because of how it was handled. Now I have to start over at another clinic and pay for another exam. If you're looking for straightforward, honest care--this is not the place.
