Stop here if you want the best tasting, freshest fish dip you will ever have! Driving by heading towards Key West it is located on your left just past Big Pine Key. The man working behind the counter was super friendly, helpful and efficient. They smoke a variety of fish. read more

Why why why haven't we stopped in before?! I will never make that mistake again. First - GET THE FISH DIP :). They made their dip for several local restaurants - you'd know some of them. Delicious! We also got the Red Grouper to take home and cook up. They also had two types of shrimp, scallops, stoned crb claws, and a few others. Their offering changes by day - as they get things fresh daily from the local fishermen. I do wish they had more variety- but maybe it was just the time of day we stopped (about 5pm and they are only open til 6). Lastly, they have lots of frozen bait should you be headed on a fishing trip. read more

The ABSOLUTE BEST and freshest fish market in the lower Keys. Definitely a must if you are staying in KW and require the freshest of seafood, just make the short 22 mile drive and don't even bother with the other closer markets, you will thank me later! Low Key Fisheries may not have an overly large selection of seafood to choose from at all times, but what they do have is always the absolute freshest you have ever tasted unless you caught it yourself! There is always the most fairly priced stone crab claws from select on up to collosal during season as well as spiny lobsters in season. A personal favorite is the KW pinks which are available in a very convenient 5 lb individually frozen piece bag. The scallops I have purchased from here have been the best I have ever had! The tuna is always so fresh and makes the most mouthwateringly delicious poke! Dealing with lots of local fisherman, you are pretty likely to come across some fish you aren't likely to readily find available elsewhere on occasion- lane snapper, lionfish, etc. I only buy my seafood from this locally owned FRIENDLY business! They have everything you need for preparing the ultimate seafood feast from herbs, seasonings, flavored oils and sauces, rices and breadcrumbs, including delicious frozen key lime pies. I was happy to find this fish market literally less than a mile from our rental in Kudjoe Key. We stopped by a couple of times and every time the fish selection was great and fresh. We tried the trigger fish fried and it was delicious, also bough snowy grouper that was so tasty. The guy at the market recommended it for grilling. Overall good place, I will definitely stop by next time in the lower keys. read more

One week ago placed an order for 100 LN clams directly at the store to a young woman that was tending the store. Gave her my name an phone number and the clams were supposed to arrive today at the store with a delivery truck. This afternoon after 2pm called the store and was rudely told by the men who answered the phone that he had no order for clams and could not give me what he did not have. I asked him shying He did not call me advising me that no clams were coming. Again he said he could not do anything for me. No apologies no excuses. I drove to the store and the situation remained the same and that person just tu4ned his back 9n me and went in his back room. Never experienced such a behavior such unprofessional conduct. May be do not care about customers because they make enough money as it is and can afford to be unapologetic and treat customers badly. read more

This is a great place close to Key West and terrific prices. I always stop on my way down if driving or drive up just to go here if I fly down and rent a car. Never miss. Used to go to the Waterfront Market in KW but of course it's been taken over for something else. You cannot find fresher seafood anywhere and BEATS THE HELL OUT OF ANYYHING YOU MIGHT FIND AT PUBLIX OR WINN DIXIE. Worth the drive up on a lazy Florida Key day! Enjoy. Super helpful advice with bait and tackle. Wishing they hadn't been out of sardines, would've liked to try some of this bait. They take credit card, which is a plus. They sustained roof damage because of hurricane Irma, butt never fear, they have stuff in the back, it's just not in the display cases. Stop in, they will be happy to help. read more

Stopped yesterday as my wife wanted to get some fish dip which she loves. Unfortunately the store clerk was not wearing a face mask and when I inquired why, he simply said it is only a recommendation not a requirement. I am not sure if he understands that wearing a mask is primarily to protect others you encounter in case you are infected and shedding virus. This can happen even if you do not have symptoms (asymptomatic). I was disappointed at the attitude that essentially disregarded our concern as customers. While we completed this purchase yesterday, we will definitely not return to this shop or give patronage to any business that is not following the "recommendations" of the CDC, the State of Florida and Monroe County to reduce the spread of this dangerous disease. Honestly I am at a loss as to why any business that is struggling to stay viable during this historic economic downturn would have such an arrogant attitude toward paying clientele. Too bad because otherwise this is a really good fish market. read more

We wanted to write a review for anyone looking to get great fresh seafood in the Florida Keys. We have been renting a house in Summerland Key and drove by Low Key Fisheries just to check it out. My husband and I enjoy fishing but are somewhat limited with our dogs coming along, so we wanted to find a good local fish market. It was my husband's birthday and I wanted to plan a special dinner. I was contemplating a restaurant in Key West or some of the local restaurants, or possibly even fresh fish. I walked into Low Key Fisheries and from the start, there was a great vibe. It is clean and quaint. Scott, Corey and Tina were great. Even though I was a complete stranger they hooked me up with some great fish and it was delicious. We have since been there twice and plan to head back before we go home. We have had Stone Crabs, Fish Dip, Strawberry Grouper and African Pompano, all fresh and delicious! They even gave me cooking tips. The Key Lime pie was the icing on the cake. That is just my experience. I do not write reviews very often but thought this might be helpful for anyone looking to find a place with good fresh seafood and folks you can trust. read more
