Never had I been to a grocery store that had a bar. My husband specifically goes to try out the different beer options. I love Lowe's because of the smoked meats and the freshly baked muffins. If I had to rate this grocery store I would say that it is definitely in the upper crust of grocery stores.....very clean...great staff and great prices. read more

Selection is great and when shopping using weekly sales pricing is great! Very clean as well.

EVERY time I go in there I have zero cell and WiFi signal. Every store and even Harris Teeter across the street have signals. It has gotten to where, despite the better convenience I go across the street or to Target or Publix. For groceries and Lowe's Foods has dropped off my list to even consider anymore. read more

1.2 stars, only because they have a relatively extensive beer selection for a chain grocery store. Two huge problems will end this location, especially with a new Publix on Kelly/Olive Chapel to compete with in 2017: 1) Service. Absolutely abysmal, especially in the checkout area. Management is failing and, frankly, should be replaced. Employees are always standing around, paying much more attention to each other than customers, talking, playing on mobile phones, etc. At checkout, expect no smiles from these incredibly rude and dismissive kids. They clearly are not motivated, and do not want to be there. Turnover seems higher than normal, but that's speculation. Tonight was the nail in the coffin: around 9:15 PM, checkout 1, male. Guy was absolutely miserable. No 'thanks' when finished, just sadness. Happens all times of the day, clearly just spoiled young folks with no discipline. 2) Prices. Relatively speaking, not very competitive. Checkout dingbats always forget to ask for discount card (which Publix wisely doesn't have). To hell with beer options, I'll make Harris Teeter my one-stop shop for everything once again until I can try out Publix in 2017. Kids at HT are clearly more motivated, more respectful, more thankful for my business; prices are generally not great but better than Lowe's. Management is critical when you have a younger workforce, and HT gets it; Lowe's does not and mark my words their demise will be swift when Public opens in 2017. Disappointing. read more

I stopped in the store at 4:30 Wednesday afternoon to pick up a few things. There were 3 employees at the front, 2 checkers and a person who seemed to be in charge. No waiting to be checked out. As I checked out I asked the young man if the store carried a particular product. He didn't know but said he would find out -a reasonable response. He went ask the person who seemed to be in charge, who was chatting with the other checker. He returned and said they didn't know and couldn't check. The man in charge looked over at me and said if they had it, it would be "back there" and waved toward the back of the store. Then he went back to his conversation as if annoyed at the interruption. What ever happened to customer service? There were no other customers waiting to check out. This is not the type of service to encourage repeat business. And although the young man who waited on me was very nice, his manager should remind him that his mask should cover his nose. read more

Has is very cheap here customer service is wonderful. There was an issue at the pump I was being charge for gas. No gas was coming out the pump. I reported to the young lady. She told me to wait so she can get the manager to reimburse me. read more

This is a review on their display cake cheesecake slices that are individually sold. For supermarket cheesecake, this was pretty creamy and just wondefully good. I happend to pick it up at the High House location, but unfortunately they no longer carry it. After 5 calls hunting this down, this Apex location carries it. The individual display case slices is not the same as the whole cheese cakes they carry from the freezer. I thought Harris Teeter ricotta cheesecake slices were good, but these are much better! read more

My wife goes into Lowes Apex buy's a rotisserie chicken & takes it home and blood is oozing out of it and clearly its raw. She calls the store speaks to manager of the deli department and when she explains he offers no apology whatsoever. He says she can bring it back for another one. My wife says she will come in the next day for refund and his response is "its my birthday I won't be here". They offered her a gift card instead of a refund but she refused. The customer service is definitely lacking. Even at the checkouts the staff seems unhappy and lethargic. May have to just go to Harris Teeter or Publix in the future. read more

I used to be a regular at Lowes. Between sale items and staples, I'd be there at least a few times a week. But since the overhaul, I can barely stand to go. They added a number of specialty areas for things like sausage, beer and more, but they jacked up the prices while falling far short of the true specialty shops. I rarely go now. I prefer cheaper markets for commodities and specialty shops for the good stuff. Lowes really missed the mark for me. read more

This is a review for the front end customer service aka cashiers....they were rude and very unhelpful, the one cashier that did help us was great however there were plenty of management members there and not one bothered to offer help....if this is how they plan to grow they will fail and I am now thinking publics will over take this area as well!!!!!! read more

Since the remodel, I actually like Lowe's Foods a fair bit better than I used to, and I'm shopping there more often. Some of the "specialty" sections are useful, like the chicken kitchen (oh, the flatbread pizzas rock, too). Others are kinda non-starters (sausage works that doesn't even grind its own sausage on-site? Harumph). Staff here have almost always been friendly in my experience, and lately they also seem to have gotten the rah-rah on good customer service with the new store (which is nice. There's a guy in the chicken kitchen regularly who always goes above and beyond, too. Big guy, often there, can't remember the name- but give him a raise!). Here's the caveat to all the love- like some other reviewers, I agree that useful specials are fewer and farther between now, and the "average" prices for just about everything are more expensive than they used to be... Generally a poor value even against Harris-Teeter across the street. Oh, one other problem, but it's been endemic for a very long time- Lowe's store brand almost anythings are almost completely guaranteed to taste either bad or utterly bland. I won't buy ANY of them any more. 3.5 stars, but because it looks and feels so much more pleasant these days, I'll round up. ;-) read more
