I love coming to this grocery store. It's not super fancy but always seems to surprise me with their offerings. I really love their sushi! Tonight I picked some up with my regular grocery items and got 18 pieces of sushi roll and 4 pieces of nigiri for $16.99 in a combo pack. This is not regular grocery store sushi - a lot of the offerings have rolls topped with different things and the rolls are always very colorful! This store is very clean and the produce is really fresh. I love the convenience packed veggies and fruits and some of the homemade pre-prepped meals as well (single gal). I have also done Lowes Foods to go and they had given me a seeded watermelon instead of seedless so the credited my account back for that plus gave me $5 off my next trip. Really nice. read more

I have emailed corporate on 2 occasions, never heard back from anyone, they need new carts, I have been there about 4 or 5 times now, the cart does well in the store, then you get into the parking lot and it locks up, I can't get it to my car. I had an extremely shocking experience with the cashier named Emily at store number 226. She was rude, disrespectful and I have no idea what her problem was. She conducted herself like a child. Disgusting!!!!!! My husband and I are deciding how we will move forward with this experience as it has never happened before nor was it warranted! Her customer service or the lack of is horrible! As I was speaking to her manager she was yelling out $24 which was the balance of my total after using my gift card stating it was her fourth time . We were talking to her manager about how she was treating us and continued to treat us with disrespect as if I couldn't pay $24. My eyeglasses cost more than her monthly salary! I'm assuming because I was dressed down on my day off that she felt we were beneath her! It was degrading Not to mention when we handed her our gift card she had an attitude and said this is not a store card, this is a gift card! In which we said we know that's why I gave it to you. This location has been completely remodeled in the newest Lowe's Foods concept. The specialty departments are the main reason for going to this store. A couple of the new departments are whimsical as well as offer unique items - Chicken Kitchen and Sausage Works. Make sure you are around the Chicken Kitchen when the employees do the chicken dance! The new Sausage Works has an automated sign that comes to life with the sounds of a factory, spinning wheels and letters that move. They also have a lot of creative sausage blends available for purchase. Sausage sandwiches are freshly created and customized for you with your choice of sausage, bread, mustard and veggies - all cooked in front of you. Price for the sausage sandwich is a very reasonable 2/$5. The deli includes fresh made pizza ($5.99 or 2/$10), large pannini sandwiches and sushi. The Cakery offers fresh made square cakes by the slice or whole cakes. In the produce area they have Pick & Prep, where they will slice veggies or fruits to your preference or you can purchase pre packaged items that they have already sliced. The other new area is the The Beer Den where you can buy a Growler and fill it with craft beers. Really like the Pick & Prep, but I highly advise you to check the pricing on these items. I saw some items, such as mixed fruits, priced over $10 for a typical sized container. You can usually find some of the pre made package reduced. Lowe's Foods now promotes its advertised specials as Barnburner Savings. I have found some good savings on some of those items. In comparing pricing for general items here versus my usual store (Food Lion - and I have to drive by three of them to get to this Lowe's Foods store) I find better pricing at Food Lion. The other thing I noticed here as compared to Food Lion is that there are a lot less house brand options, and some odd choices for product sizes. For example in searching for lemonade I found only gallon sized containers of a major brand where Food Lion offers quart sizes and there was no house brand lemonade in any size. So go for the specialty foods and stock up on the Barnburner Savings. read more

Not sure if it's because they are short staffed recently, but this location has really gone downhill. We used to love shopping here as it's literally across the street from our house. Every single time in the past couple of months I've had many items spoil quickly. Partly it's my fault for not checking dates on meats, but items like vegetables have spoiled in literal days. I purchased a meal kit with chicken that was dated TWO WEEKS prior from when I purchased. The good by date was kind of hidden in the package, so I didn't realize. I will no longer be shopping here unfortunately. Just wanted to warn others to make sure they check dates if they do shop here!! read more

I think it's important that management at this store stresses to their employees to never make customers feel bad or disrespected by making negative comments about the sport team attire that they wear. I have had several run ins now with the same stock person in the back of the store where the lunch meats are where I have to endure his antagonizing remarks about my team and how bad they are. Lowe's Foods has really stepped up their game! From the total overhaul of the design of the store to adding some really nice features - the growler area, hot food takeout, sushi bar, and the yummy bakery area. They even have a little garden area IN the produce department where you can cut fresh herbs! We regularly head to the hot food takeout section - the fried chicken is delicious, the mashed potatoes and gravy are out of this world. The cornbread tops are a great side, too. Also, you can grab ready made pizzas and Lowe's will heat it up for you right there! Bakery section is great, you can purchase mini pieces of cake. Monster muffins are fantastic - lemon poppyseed and chocolate chip are our faves. Love the interior decor - very farmhouse like with rustic beams. Love the deals, the produce quality, the hot food deli and the friendly employees. Grab a cute t-shirt on your way out, they are rolled up in bushel baskets at checkout! read more

Make sure all the customers are out before closing down all the register. Walked in at 11 didn't know the hours changed. No one had the courtesy to tell me the hours changed. When I was ready to check out. I was told all the registers are closed. Trash service will never be back. Update your hours online also, stop misleading people. read more

Covid-19 experience at Lowes on Louisburg Road: Placed an order for pick-up using their "To Go" system, got an email conformation of the items and pickup time. When we get to the store there is a small handwritten sign taped to the intercom which reads "You must come inside the store, sorry for the inconvenience". Come inside the store? During a pandemic? We have been trying to do our part, to social distance and stay at home, and now Lowe's decides it's going to price-gouge by charging to collect (less than half) your groceries, and then hold them hostage by making you come in the store whilst bored employees stand around having conversations instead of doing the jobs they are being paid to do. My family will NEVER visit ANY Lowes Foods EVER again. Thanks for lying, gouging, putting us all in danger, and special thanks for not letting anyone know you are doing this. read more

I must say i have been shopping at Lowes lately more than i have been shopping at Harris Teeter and here is why. First off, one dollar cake slices. The buttermilk is not overly sweet and the product is good. They bake it right there so its worth it. Second off, organic foods reasonably priced. I can get freshly made sausage they make right there, and i can get clipped greens. I can get lots of organic produce and products and i can trust the lowes brands for the most part will be organic which is perfect for my diet (since i have a thyroid condition, I am not supposed to eat anything else). Thirdly, MEAL KITS! I typically would spend 30-60$ for a meal kit just to get three and you can't really cancel the service ever. This is a great option because for 17$ you get a meal kit right there and they have lots of varieties. Since i am a college student i grab one and i make it into meals for the week. I have tried the pork tacos (to die for), and the skirt steak and noodles which i loved. This place is really good for everyday shopping. This is like you come here to get all the ingredients for that day's dinner. That is the kind of place that this is. It is also right next to the gym so i can head to the gym and then get groceries (convenient). I really do like coming to Lowes a bit more than Harris Teeter it is less busy because it is a new store but it has lots to offer including a whole isle of specialty drinks that are mostly organic or high grade (like starbucks coffee and dunkins). Overall: I like this location better than i like bryer creeks even though bryer creek is only down the road. read more

Ok not pleased. I go out of my way to come to this Lowes Foods just because of the bakery and deli. I called before 9 am asking for a few quiches, that I would pick up later today. I spoke to the manager Brandon, no less. When I showed up after 3 pm, over 6 hours later, guess what? No quiches. The girl asks Brandon and he tells me that's the 'next thing' on his list. When did Lowes start training employees to walk away as soon as they hand off receipt, without saying a word. It is very disappointing because the staff use to be so friendly & helpful & we liked shopping there. Checkout person did not speak at all except to offer new card since she pulled ours off the key chain. She was much more interested in getting down to fellow cashiers to socialize than to work. As soon as receipt printed she handed to us & she couldnt walk away fast enough. She didnt thank usfor visiting. Didnt say have nice day. We were still standing there & she just walked away saying nothing. She didnt even bag up the groceries for customer in front of us before started sending our groceries down the conveyor on to his groceries. Rude. Lack of respect. No customer service. I went and got a few items from this Lowe's. The bakery worker was excellent and very helpful! The deli worker messed up which I understand things happen. I wanted a pound of turkey she gave it to me and I tossed it into the cart and moved along. When it was time to pay the worker never put the scan tag on it for it be rung up so the manager had to go back. I had to wait for the manager to come and wait for the manager to bring the turkey with the scan tag. When I looked at it, it was for 1/2 lb more than I asked for. I told the manager that and she said "ok that's what you gave me you don't want it?" Nope..not paying for extra that I didn't ask for and will be wasted. I paid for everything else and went back to the deli to get a pound. They no longer had a pound to give me. They would rather waste that mistake the employee made than make a customer Happy. read more

This location is always my go-to store. It's always clean. Quality food. Friendly faces. Prices can be high depending on what you get but overall great store :) Only thing I would recommend on improving is making sure the customer service and cashier employees are all on one accord with customer service. Some can be friendly, while some can have no personality and barely want to speak... Minor issues that can be solved. Otherwise I recommend this location ! read more

They recently remodeled and it looks very nice. I don't go here for all my food shopping even though it's a mile from my house because their prices are a bit high but the store as a whole is very nice. Their deli area has a bunch of pre made sandwiches and pizzas that they will cook up for you right there. I have tried two different ones and they both have been very very good. I also get their salad bar a few times a week. It's reasonably priced and has a large variety of ingredients to choose from. Their beer selection is one of the better ones in the area, especially for a grocery store. They also now have this cool beer den where they have unique beers for the month. It's a cool place to stop. Finally, their staff has always been incredibly helpful. The cashiers are very nice and always in a good mood. The stock people have always been willing to help whenever I have a need from them. read more

I am a regular customer at this Lowe's since this is my local grocery store I practically come here every day or at least several times a week. I know several employees in a first name basis but today I felt so disrespected. There was a young, blond, tall male employee that gave me the worst experience at this Lowe's since I first moved to this neighborhood 13 years ago. He saw me waiting in a line that had an open lane light and he was just staring at me. Then after several minutes he said, "There's no one there." I said, "Well the light is on." His response was, "That is not my problem I don't do that." He said this twice after I said "Excuse me?" Because I could not believe an employee was disrespecting a customer like that. I hope someone will do something about this. I will visit this Lowe's again tomorrow and ask to speak to a manager. I do expect an apology from this employee or I will keep escalating this until it reaches corporate. I will not feel comfortable seeing this employee at this store that my family and I visit almost every day. read more

This place constantly has long lines and the price is more than other stores around. I come here for the convenience but should just go to food lion as it would be quicker despite the longer drive. I would like for just once to spend less than 5 minutes waiting to get to the cashier to when check out. The self check out doesn't work well for weighed items. We love supporting this store because it's near our house. Since they remodeled, we noticed certain brands that they stopped carrying such as pet bedding and rabbit food. Regarding small pet bedding for rabbits and gerbils, they now only carry cedar chips. This is extremely toxic to animals, and makes them develop upper respiratory infections. This shouldn't even be on the shelves. I hate to think that they are cheating out on certain things, in order to afford this remodeling project. read more

Great place to shop. I'm from Florida so i'm used to shopping at Publix. They don't have those near me now, and I can't stand Food Lion. I've been shopping here for the past year or so and it's always clean and they have a great produce selection. You can also order your groceries online, and they will bring it out to your car without even having to go in the store. That's so nice!! read more

A recent visit to this lowes left me with a bouquet of dead flowers and I was not happy about it. As a way to show my appreciation for my girlfriend I will often pick up a bouquet of flowers or roses to surprise her. I stopped into this lowes to pickup a few items as I often do because they offer fast service and its very convenient to my home. I grabbed a $30 bouquet of Oriental Lillie's, took them home put them water and gave them to my girlfriend who loved them. All was good until I woke up the next day with limp Lillie's. I called the store and spoke to a manger who advised me to come in and ask for him or a manager on duty and they would gladly provide a fresh bouquet to me at no charge. Later that evening I went into the store , asked to speak with a manger explained my situation at which time the manager excused himself to make a call, came back about 5 minuets later and said he had no knowledge of the situation and unfortunately would not be compensating me for my troubles. He then told me I might've called the wrong store. I pulled out my phone went to the call log called the same number I called earlier and the phone for the store rang, the manager just looked at me with nothing to say and I asked one more time if anything could be done, he once again said no, I thanked him for his time, I went over to the floral department and purchased another $30 bouquet of Lillie's. Needless to say I was none to satisfied with the way the store manager handled the situation I would've been ok with a small discount 10 or 15% would've helped but to offer nothing not even empathy for my situation says to me that this manager does not value the customer nor does he care about the way his actions reflect on the company. I've been a shopper at lowes since the mid 90's and thought highly of the company and the way they treat their customers. Hopefully this review will go up to the right places and be used as a tool in the future. read more

Never thought I would review a grocery store- but this one is amazing. Luckily it is on my way home, but I would probably go out of my way to shop here as the employees are so nice and helpful. We love the specialty sausage department. While one guy usually covers the counter, all the people there have been genuinely sweet. Shout out also to the manager who is often seen in the customer service center. After having no luck finding tahini in any grocery store nearby, I gave it one last shot and asked him. He only needed a description of what it was used for and then told me to walk half way down an aisle and it would on the right, top shelf. IT WAS! Very impressed with their team. read more
