Lowe's owes me a considerable amount of money on an installation that I was over-billed for. Trying to get this accomplished has been 100 percent impossible. Supposedly, new management was put in place months ago to try to improve the zero customer service at this store, but it's the same old story. You can't reach anyone by phone, and if you go to the store, the manager you need is ALWAYS in a meeting or at lunch. And they don't call when staff says they will. I purchased a disposal and installation package June 23. I scheduled the installing for July 19. No word from anyone. Took the day unpaid off for installation. A month later! They are unreliable, unreachable and even the manager will not call you back or speak to you. I was returning a chainsaw that did not meet my expectations. I was going from a battery chainsaw and after trying 1 day after purchase realize it was not gonna work out. Still wanting one I went with an electric which is really doing the job. However after the exchange was complete and the employee stating they were not suppose to do returns on chainsaws, I think the store manager should know if that is your policy and you have no signs saying all sales are final.you are not gonna have alot of customers. Horrible communication and customer service. They delivered a washer/dryer unit but I was never informed until exact time of delivery that a new power cord and vent hose (sold separately, of course) were required to install. Delivery team was not concerned (not their problem) and simply left the new unit unconnected. So I had to order new cord/vent hose to be delivered the next day and then new unit could be connected. Still currently waiting for Lowe's to show up today and it's impossible to speak with anyone at the store since they aren't answering the phones. I have no idea if they are even going to show to complete installation since I was never notified of arrival time (policy is a 4-hour window notification). AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE Update: Adding one star due to the fact that a new experienced delivery team did in fact show up after 9pm and did a good job. I just can't stand stupid. BUYER BEWARE. Lowe's has changed their RETURN policy to 30 DAYS. Most recently the policy was 90 days, and if they still stocked it they would accept returns beyond that date for store credit. I just tried to return a few items from a large remodeling project. No luck. We're talking metal letters for a house number and 8 glass globes for a ceiling fan. $80 worth of stuff. That's out of at least $5K in materials for my remodel - ceiling fans, plumbing fixtures, tub, ceramic tile, shutters, lighting fixtures, knobs, handles, plywood, trim boards, etc. I can't see buying from Lowe's for a larger scale project. 30 days is way too short to confidently know whether an item will be used. I feel sorry for the folks on the phone because they have no control or authority. I rented a Bissell big green vacuum at this Lowe's location and it was a great experience, not to mention it saved my $200 rug that I desperately needed to clean due to a very large coffee stain!! While at the store, the employee was very helpful and guided me through the whole process from start to finish. She made sure I got the spot treatment tubes, which was a game changer. I truly wouldn't have been able to receive the same results without it. She was very responsive to my questions and made sure I got the best deal possible. Oh man. Where to start. We chose Lowe's to order our appliances through. The sales lady who has been helping us, is so so nice. However, she is new so the process of ordering was slow. Stood in a 3 person line for almost 2 hours. Finally got to the front and took another 45 mins to order. When it came time for delivery, we have called up to the store three times notifying them of the date change. Three times we have gotten a call from the delivery driver saying they are on their way to deliver. It is difficult to get someone to pick up the phone when i call up there, much less actually change the date on our order. Lowe's has teamed up with Angi. They've unilaterally rescheduled my install 7 times from the original time and date. By far the worst delivery company ever. We we ordered a washer and dryer from Lowe's on July 4. The delivery was set up for July 6, they never showed up. Then it was set up for July 10, they came without the dryer and the stackable kit. And it was set up for July 12. They showed up with the dryer and not the stackable kit. Then they were supposed to come on July 14 in the morning they called at 5 pm. I then called and requested a time for today before 4 PM. I called them to find and confirm the time, they gave me the time from 4 to 8 PM. This is by far the worst delivery company I've ever dealt with let them know they never communicate. If you try to get a hold of them it's over an hour wait time on the phone. I would never recommend using Lowes or their delivery company again. read more

Wow. I need to replace carpet in my home and decided to use Lowe's, thinking they couldn't possibly be any worse than Home Depot. (That's a whole 'nother story.) Pluses: My first visit was good. The guy who came out to measure was there on time and was very pleasant and helpful. Minuses: If your carpet is pet-stained, they won't remove it. How convenient. I ripped out carpet before and it nearly killed me - that was 10 years ago and I wasn't on chemo. So now I'm trying to find some random person off Craigslist to take care of this. Always a pleasure. My visit today was terrible. At first I thought there was no one in the flooring department. Wrong - there was one guy, and he was helping someone else. So I sat down and waited, politely. I get that you're by yourself, and you're helping another customer. I'll wait. But could you at least acknowledge my existence? "Be with you as soon as I can" is Customer Service 101 and goes a long way toward avoiding reviews like this. The guy wraps up with his customer then gives me a confused look. "Did you need help?" No, I just like to hang out in the flooring department. I told the guy I'd had someone come out to measure and now I wanted to take home samples. He says, Ok - find the ones you want, take them up front and pay a deposit. Then he completely disappeared. Not a great idea if you're the only person working the department. I haul my samples up front. One cash register is open (other than self-serve) and the line is stupid long. After about 15 minutes someone finally thought to call for backup. The cashier tries to scan the bar code, and nothing comes up. He was helpful - he tried inputting the numbers, still nothing. He suggested I go over to Customer Service. I did. Another long wait, more confusion over what to do about the damn carpet samples. I finally was able to give them my money and get out of there. But now I'm seriously wondering if using Lowe's is a good idea. read more

Ordered a new washer and dryer. Confirmed delivery for Friday. Got a phone call and email from Lowe's with my delivery window. Never showed up. Repeated calls to store and delivery number. After 6 calls. Finally got someone who said it didn't make it on the truck. Should be here tomorrow (Saturday). Didn't show. Made multiple phone calls. No one could tell me anything. Got email and phone call from Lowe's confirming delivery on Sunday. Never showed. Went to store. Customer service couldn't help. No one in appliances. Person pages to appliances never showed. I finally called store manager (extension 4290) Was told that deliveries are handled by a third party and that their system doesn't sync to the store system. So the store is ordered things they don't know whether or not they have. Was told that they may not actually have these items and they might be coming from vendor. Called multiple times Monday. Last time I called I got a person who said when this happens they need to cancel the order and do a new one. Or the system keeps scheduling for the next day but it never arrives. Was told it would be here Wednesday. Got email and phone call with delivery window of 9-9. Called the delivery number. On my second try, first person knew nothing, I was told that it would be between 11 and 3. So I called at 3 when it wasn't here. Pro tip never use them to install anything. Just buy your parts and hire someone else. One 3 separate occasions I've tried to have them install a stacked washer dryer that they said they would and twice they just never showed up. And on another occasion they randomly showed up to my house without warning at 8pm on a Sunday night to install and didn't even do it right because the duct fell off a month later. When I called them to come fix it they never showed and said I wasn't home even though I waited all day. These people are trash and when you call their support line you get no help. My advice to anyone is to AVOID ordering appliances with Lowes. I placed a big appliance order on August 27, 2021. After a year, the refrigerator delivery kept getting rescheduled (holding the other appliances up). I called to inquire and they said the refrigerator was "in route" from the manufacturer. My delivery date changed over 10 times. I called and visted the local store to inquire on the order multiple times and no one could help. When I inquired further and escalated the issue a customer service rep discovered that the refrigerator was lost at their warehouse. Though it showed the manufacturer shipped the refrigerator, it could not be found. Lowes reordered and they have dropped the ball on the order again, the order may not be in until Novemer of 2022. In addition, Lowes attempts to charge your credit card every 7 days to make sure funds are available. I have multiple, substantial orders and the charges are marked as fraud every time. With the backordered items, this weekly charge hold is not feasible. This ordering process has been poor and it has put me in a huge bind. I offered to pay in advance to make sure that my order is not affected by my bank rejecting the credit card holds every 7 days. Customer Service is poor, the local store does not respond. Cloths dryer delivery window was Saturday 4-8pm. No show, no call, no information. Now, after reading some reviews, I see I'm not alone. I had no idea Lowe's was this bad. The local store has no clue what the 'warehouse' is doing and would not help. Phone wait-time at Customer Care was over an hour so I opted for a call back. I received a call back but no one was on the line, just an echo of me. Warehouse/distribution isn't open on Sunday, so managed to get through (another 30 minutes wait) early Monday morning - was told to expect a call within 24 hours. Received the call 8 hours later and new delivery may be Wednesday. Dryer delivered Wednesday. Dent on the front that interferes with latching the door AND THERE WAS A SMALL AMOUNT OF LINT ON THE LINT SCREEN. This dryer had been used. I went to the store and waited 25minutes to speak with a manager. She offered a replacement, but when I didn't hear back regarding delivery, I called and found out that the manager didn't do anything. I came to this Lowe's on 06/01/2018 to buy a fridge and washer/dryer on a Memorial Day special. I had a guy help me purchase the items since they were not in stock. When it came to the washer/dryer, the guy asked me if I had all the necessary accessories and I told him no, "Go ahead and just order everything that is required for installation as I will need them." Fast-forward to 06/20/2018 when the delivery people show up to install everything.... Fridge gets installed with no issues. However, the delivery guys say they cannot install the washer and dryer because I didn't purchase the stacking it. Well, I was ordering a stackable washer/dryer and the gentleman at Lowe's failed to tell me this or it was on oversight. I ask the delivery people what do we do now. He tells me not to worry and he will tell Lowe's that afternoon to give me a call regarding the necessary part to order and rescheduling another day to do the installation. They leave the washer/dryer in my living room. Many hours pass by and no phone call, so I decide to be proactive and call. I speak to a store manager and she informs me that they have the part in the store and the easiest thing is to buy it and have it ready, she will schedule the delivery people to come on 06/25/2018 to install everything. The store manager writes my name and phone number down on a white piece of paper and says I will receive a call sometime Thursday. Fast forward to Thursday 06/28/2018.... Better yet...fast forward to Friday (today - 06/29/2018) because I didn't receive any call on Thursday!?!! I have no issue with general stuff that I buy at the store, the store is convenient and close, but getting them to install and take care of a large purchase is a different matter. I bought several toilets with the install by professional feature because I need them to do it. The installation service is no call/no show on the day that they are supposed to be installed after the scheduled time. I contact online customer service for "Handy"-their install contracting service, and they only offer me a reschedule. No explanation to why. I make the assumption that most people don't have time to just wait around for someone to show up to do work. I don't. So I demand full refund from Lowes. Do better Lowes. I have repeatedly had bad service at this Lowes. Today I spent an hour in tools looking for the right kind of electric polisher and even asked an associate if they could send someone to help me. I clearly heard her request for someone to come to tools for customer assistance two times but no one ever came. I finally got so mad waiting that I bought a sander instead which I think I will return it anyway and I left the store. I tried calling the store but got put on a 30 minute wait in order to speak with someone. I am done shopping here as Home Depot is just a few more blocks away. Desperately needed to get a plumbing part to fix a water leak in our home but I threw my back out days ago and attempted to try "curbside" since I can't really walk. Didn't want to go inside the store because it would have taken forever to get each part because of my back pain.They don't allow anyone in your family to pick up the order on your behalf so I had no choice but to go. I showed up and parked in curbside. Tried the phone number 512-634-4330 and pressed "2" for curbside pickup orders as it states on the sign but no one picked up. It rang and rang then looped me back to the beginning where I'd have to press 2 again for curbside. I tried this for 10 minutes before I finally pressed the option for the "customer service desk". Rang and rang, no one answered then looped me back for another couple of minutes so I pressed a different number for a different department. Someone finally answered at the flooring service desk. I asked if they'd be able to help me and explained I couldn't get ahold of anyone and I'm at curbside but the lady said no, she could not help me because she was with a customer and the only thing she could do was transfer me back to curbside. After 5 more minutes of continuously getting looped back to the original recording I finally limped my way inside. I was kind and explained I was calling and calling but that no one was picking up and the lady just looked at me and said she handles curbside and the phone didn't ring for her. No apology or anything then just asked my name and went and got my order. I was in a lot of pain and this whole experience was just extremely frustrating. I won't be shopping at this Lowe's anymore and will drive the extra miles to Lakeline from here on out. read more

I shop here a lot. It's nearby. With the near extinction of local hardware stores, Lowe's and Home Depot are sometimes the only options. On the plus side they have an ok selection. But the customer service experience is almost always lacking. Today I went to buy a low cost item; I even checked the inventory online to make sure it was available. Lowe's website shows 17 items in stock. I go to the store only to find an empty shelf. I look for an associate, can't find one. Customer service line is six deep. Here's the outcome from below review info. They finally sent out 4 guys today (Friday) and they were great! Problem was the fridge now was NOT great. We saw them put back the fridge into the truck on Monday and they were banging it around so we were going to check the fridge before they tried to bring it in. One of the delivery guys told me when I told him I wanted to check it that it was damaged and he had taken pictures and told his manager before they loaded it up this morning but his manager told him to just go ahead and try to deliver the fridge. He showed it to me and you can see the damage in the photos. When I called Lowes to point out that they sent me a damaged fridge they said (for a $2700 fridge) they would give me $200 off. I told them that these kind of damaged fridges are usually $1000 off in the store. The lady said - well it's not in the store, it's in front of your house. It really is in the condition of a much cheaper fridge now so I rejected the order. We will go with Home Depot or Best Buy - need to start the process over. They had longer delivery times but of course with either of them we would have a fridge by now. I would give a negative star rating if available. We expected a delivery in the same condition it was in as in the store on Monday. Now we have nothing and need to start all over. read more

Great neighborhood Lowe's! Really quiet location with fantastic parking and a very nice Garden Center. Better for the home DIYer than for a General Contractor. Too small probably for any major job needs. Pricing is fair but the staff can be nonexistent. There's also a million incredibly annoying speed bumps in the parking lot. Please change them! Too sharp and hard on vehicles, especially when they are carrying extra weight from items purchased at your store! read more

He is rude, unprofessional and unable to show any empathy or willingness to help customers even when the issue pertains to a quality of their own product. I'm in this location at least 4 times a week (general contractor) since it opened. The only reason that I visit is convenance. I feel sorry for the employees here. They always been understaffed, usually just one regular register open and the contractor section is usually one register too. I see different employees all the time so I assume that the overworked employees leave because they are understaffed. You always wait, no matter time or day. The overworked employees that are there, are polite despite the working conditions. It's funny because I've found out through venders and employees that this is one of the highest volume stores in the US. 25 years ago I worked in retail and now how payrolls work. The numbers you do, result in how much payroll the store gets. When a manager can cut hours and still do volume, they look good and the higher ups love it and they are also shielded from the bs that the store employees face daily. Another thing, good luck ever seeing one of the managers, they hide in the back. This store is so understaffed. I wish I didn't have to go there. I have a feeling they'll (Lowe's Corporate) probably think I'm affiliated with this because it's so specific, but I'm not, I just know how the retail system works. To do so, I'll provide a receipt of each year I've been in, remember I said I'm in daily and have to keep records. Also, What is up with no speed humps in front of the store? The only place you have speed humps is in the middle of the garden area. I'm going to Bing that 90% of the heaviest it is being moved out is either in the from the store or the contractor side. I've seen a lot of close calls with customers and cars Has he tried to move their heavy carts to get out of the way. Absolutely makes no sense and in pain. This is obviously a disconnect from the store and location versus Corp, that and that costs money. A few years back I complained about no speed bumps and got a reply. Great salesman in appliances. Delivery is another story. Read my tip for details. Free installation on washing machine wasn't done because a piece of tubing had to be cut. I had to call a plumber. It took him a minute and a half to cut the tubing and install the washer. The dryer door opens into my washer. It's obvious it can be moved to the other side. They're side by side. It will take 5 days for someone to come fix that problem. I was caring for a newborn when they came. My advise is stay with the installers. read more
