The service at this store stinks! There's no one to help you because they won't hire enough people to help. I was just there and waited for a good 10 minutes on someone that was called to come help and no one ever showed up. I ordered a grill a few weeks ago to pick up the next day and to my surprise it was not in the store it had to be ordered after saying it was in stock online. Then it didn't come in when the email said it would. Lowes is just a sorry place to depend on anymore!!! read more

I am an Army Veteran, and have been a loyal customer for years. I recently relocated to Newland, NC to take care of my aging parents. I decided to apply for a Pro Desk Sales position, to which I had an interview with Jonathan, the ASM of Pro Desk Team. I thought the interview went well, until I walked passed customer service Desk, and hear him say, "I'm not hiring him!" I turn around, and Jonathan is laughing with another employee at customer service. He then saw me, and my friend that was waiting for me, and whom also heard what Jonathan said. Jonathan's face turned red, but couldn't stop laughing. Now, I have dealt with some low-lifes in my time, but this guy takes the cake. Even my friend couldn't believe his unprofessionalism. I spoke to another employee about Jonathan, and she said that she has had issues with him as well being disrespectful. No wonder he isn't a teacher anymore. The School Board couldn't have him around because of his poor attitude, but I guess Lowe's can. Unbelievable Lowe's! I thought you cared for your Veterans! Guess not! read more

Never have I had such a terrible experience with customer service in all my years . Very unprofessional, and down right rude employees. Not to mention you have to check yourself out now. This location has every limited supplies of anything and GOD forbid you order something they do have in stock , it will still come from California! And you will have to wait WEEKS for it . My wife and I shopped at store 1834 in Banner Elk, North Carolina just before Thanksgiving 2020. There was an employee at the entrance and the exit counting customers, but not once was any customer not wearing a mask presented with a free mask or asked to leave. The employees at the entrance should be stopping those who refuse to wear a mask. You are endangering all the other customers. Oh, I know money over the well-being of the public. Lowe's is a Super Spreader. By the way the person not wearing a mask cannot be cited by the PD, but the store can. Just a thought. Beware of your health in a Lowe's store. read more

Deliveries are horrible. My wife waited for seven hours for an appliance delivery today and no one called her to let her know our delivery was delayed. I tried to call to find out what was going on with it and was cut off four times and the fifth time was on hold for 30 minutes and finally hung up myself. We spend tens of thousands of dollars every year at Lowe's but that ends now. We will buy from someplace that actually acts like they give a crap. read more

My husband and I went into the Banner Elk Lowes on September 17th to replace a dishwasher. We purchased for delivery/installation/removal and scheduled a specific date because we are not full-time residents. My husband drove up this morning to meet the delivery and, when they arrived, he was told all that they will do is deliver the dishwasher: no removal, no install. This was not what we discussed with the salesperson when we purchased the dishwasher. I was specifically told that there was an additional charge for the removal of the dishwasher and that they would 'recycle' the old dishwasher once removed. So imagine our frustration that we now have a new dishwasher sitting in our dining room, waiting to be installed. I spoke with customer service who confirmed that the dishwasher should have been installed but now it will require a wait to hear back from someone and a reschedule of that installation. It's very frustrating that this was not done correctly by Lowes the first time and requires another trip on our part to get this taken care of. I dislike giving such a low rating but this was not handled correctly and I would like this to be known so it won't happen to another customer. read more

This place is a disgrace as far as showing up to do work! I have had to hound them call them hours after they were supposed to show up! Then after now showing up I am told they would show up first thing in the morning? You think they did that? Hell no! I call and am told they are on another job and will get to me whenever.. Yep, like whenever they show up. After a heated call and now I get a call from them at 9:30 am saying they will be here in an hour.. Ya,, like I believe that! I have appointments, a rental car to pick up etc etc.. what I am I supposed to do just sit around and wait all day to see if these guys show up? This is not my first time round and round with this company.. I wish there was another one around, they would certainly get my business! read more

For a huge national chain, NC-based Lowes has prob hurt other stores in the area. That's in part because they have everything you would want at a competitive price. I'll get down to brass tax though, it made our trip into town quick and they provide free guest WiFi in an area where mobile service leaves a lot to be desired. 4 stars for that read more
