Ordered carpet installation for one room. Waited for three weeks carpet to arrive. They had bad communication between store and their installers and nobody ever bothered to call me and give me an update on what's going on. We really, really want to continue to support Lowe's, but this one is hitting the skids. We recently bought a refrigerator there. Nice sales person, no problem there. The problems started the day the fridge was supposed to be delivered. We waited through the assigned time window, but no one showed up. So my husband called to try to find out what was happening; after SIX HOURS of back and forth with a most unhelpful manager who wouldn't return his calls, he finally found out that Lowe's had cancelled the order because they were out of stock. Wow. Two stars because the sales staff was nice. But we won't be buying major appliances there again. read more

Worst experience EVER! We wanted to do flooring all over the house and contacted the flooring department. Our case was first handled by the infamous "Aaron". It was so difficult to get anything we wanted out of him, on time (or ever). Horrible communication skills and it's been over a month and we still haven't heard from them about our ESTIMATES! I've been calling them but kept getting re-routed to their operator and was not able to speak to the flooring department. The work you just carelessly lost is worth over $30K, not to mention my precious time you guys have wasted!!!! read more

After waiting for 20 minutes, then having an employee call for assistance in the paint department, waiting another 10 minutes, pressing the need help button 16 times, and still receiving zero assistance, I will never be back. I'll gladly go to Home Depot directly down the street. It is evident as to why there are no customers in the store. read more

I really only go to this Lowe's because it is close to my home. I wish there were another option. The staff is generally not very skilled or competent. Most don't seem to enjoy working there. The return desk is painful and not customer oriented. It is difficult to find anyone who knows anything about anything in the store. Training and motivation is badly needed. The few good employees really stand out. Unfortunately, there just isn't enough of them. In general, it reflects poorly on management. When I can, I will drive to the Westland Lowe's. read more

Recently tried to sign up on-line for the veterans discount but was unsuccessful.The suggestion of visiting the store worked.I was there only about 10 minutes and was set to go.Went on-line when I returned home,ordered my son a leaf blower,received my military discount, and shipping was free.The staff was very friendly and helpful and always thank me for my service.Thank you Lowe's. read more

I would like to compliment your employee Bridgette Embry who works in the blinds and shades department. I was going through a really rough time, as I just lost my sister who would normally help me make some of these decisions and now I was alone. Bridgette took the time and patience with me and made me feel so comfortable. I even explained to her my story about my sister and she was so genuine about caring. I just purchased a new condo, and Bridgette helped me pick colors and types for my windows. She has called me to let me know when the order was actually placed and when I might expect it. She is a warm and welcoming individual. I feel I made a real friend, as she went out of her way to take care of me. She said when I finally do get them up take some pictures and bring them in to show her. What a sweetheart she is. I may be back for ordering blinds for one more large window and I know I will want to work with her. She is sincerely an asset to your company. and I just wanted the store to know how much she was appreciated. She gave me a hug when I left. I am telling you she is a genuine individual with beautiful caring and customer service skills. That is really a rareity in todays world. An absolutely terrible experience and I will NEVER go back for anything. Even if they were handing out free merchandise, I wouldn't go within 100 feet of the front door! It has now been 3 weeks since I ordered a a dryer. It was a birthday present for my mother and she hasn't been able to dry her clothes for weeks because of the crap lowes is putting me though. Ordered the dryer online and it was delivered to the store a week later. I picked it up, carried it down a flight of stairs, installed it only to find out it's making a loud banging noise and over heating. Then I call the warranty company and they came out 5 days later. Repair man said it was too damaged and to just order a new one. So after he says that, I realized that the dryer must have been dropped or mishandled by the lowes delivery men in order for it to be completely destroyed fresh out of the box. I then take it back up the flight of stairs and returned it to the store. Took me 45 minutes to get a refund. It's anelectric model which means it must be ordered and stores don't carry them unlike gas models. So I just said screw it and ordered another one assuming it would be delivered to the store once again in just a few days, at least that's what the employee told me. Well it took another week and a half to get it from the warehouse, 20 miles away and of course I couldn't pick it up at the warehouse because they have to send it to the canton location. The whole waiting process was completely unacceptable and it's infuriating that my 65 year old mother can't even dry her clothes. Oh and lastly, over the last 2 weeks I must have called lowes 20 times and 19 of those calls I was on hold for 15 minutes while the employees were at lunch for 2 hours or just forgot that I was on hold. To add insult to injury, all the employees were completely unprofessional, rude, full of attitude and incapable of doing their job correctly. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this store for anything and I hate this business with a burning passion. Highly highly highly suggest going to any other home improvement store other than lowes. My review to LOWES and HARD ROCK STONE WORKS-It was an absolute nightmare from day one! First the measurements were not correct. Hard Rock insisted that the cabinets were off level 1/4 inch. Well Lowes said Hard Rock Stoneworks was going to charge me $800.00 to level the cabinets. When the plumber from Lowes came and disconnected the plumbing he dumped water everywhere and left it and of course he took the old sink and the basket that the 2nd plumber was going to need . Then the guys came to remove the countertop and just left it in the garage. (in retrospect that was a good idea because that is what I am now using) Then the guys came to put in the new counter. Then I was told the sink was too big so they cut apart my cabinets. When I told them it did not look like it fit they said "trust us we are the PROFESSIONALS!" Yes the one counter did not fit (did not even cover the cabinet) The countertop was NOT even squared. Also the installers dumped the garbage disposal all over again on the fiberboard bottom of my cabinet which of course causes the fiberboard to bubble up. Of course they insisted it was not because of the water. Thnk sink was not even attached to the granite, there was a gap that a couple of credit cards could be slid through. Remember me telling you about the 1/4 difference in the cabinet? Guess what-when they thought they were finished the counter was unlevel about 1/4 inch. NOT LEVEL imagine that! Well I have before and after pictures (which no one was interested in looking at, including the CEO of Lowes). Everyone that Hard Rock sent out was nice, but VERY INCOMPETENT ! The only solution Hard Rock could give me was they were going to cut a hole in my wall to try and make the counter fit. Even I know that if it is NOT square it is NOT gonna work. Well finally I had to tell them to take it out. I have had to go to Ruth to the Rescue and the CEO of Lowes to return my money. Lowes kept on insisting on giving me a credit card credit. (Unfortunately in my excitement I paid the bill before the work was started.) DID THEY REALLY THINK THAT I WAS THAT STUPID TO TAKE A CREDIT! Here it is October 10 and i need to hire someone competent to fix all the damage caused by Lowes contractors (which will probably cost ME dearly) I have been without a sink and running water since AUGUST! BEWARE BEWARE DO NOT USE LOWES or HARD ROCK STONE WORKS! Oh and a real kicker-Hard Rock Stone Works even left me caulk so I could caulk it myself! read more

My grill box was damaged, but the female clerk in the dept assured me it was fine. It was the last in stock. Must have been her x ray vision. Of course it has a large dent and now I need to pack it all up and find a different store with this expensive item. If you don't know, say so. Clueless . Appliance NIGHTMARE!!!! Do NOT buy appliances from this store. We ordered appliances on 11/24/17 - Still do not have them! My husband and I picked out a Fridge, Stove, Dishwasher, and Microwave. They were supposed to take a few weeks to come in. The first issue we had was the rebate. They absolutely could not get it right. After several calls and going to the Lowes Canton Location 5 times we finally were given the rebate. When all 4 appliances were in they were supposed to deliver them. The last week of December, without notice they tired to deliver 2 of them and I turned them away. These people had no idea where the other 2 items were that I ordered. Then we received a call on 1/5/18 that all 4 appliances were in and scheduled for delivery. The next day the driver called and said they are on their way with our 2 appliances - REALLY!!! We called up to the store and were disconnected twice. My husband had to go up there and talked with the delivery manager. He explained to him the situation and delivery manager said only 2 items are in and he doesn't know why someone told us that all 4 were in. At this point we said deliver the fridge and stove as we had removed the old ones from our kitchen the night before. My husband asked the manager to please check the appliances for damage because they have now been on and off the delivery truck twice. The manager assured him that he would. Well guess what, the fridge delivered has a dent. This guy never checked the appliances for us. The delivery guys called the manager in front of us and told him we need a new fridge ordered. Two days later we went back to Lowes to see what was going on with our other 2 appliances. It turns out that the manager never ordered us a new fridge and the other two appliances won't be in for at least 4 more weeks. I have made 2 payments on these appliances already. This has been the worst experience I have ever had. They are not staffed with people that can handle this department. I am absolutely disgusted with Lowes!!! I will never buy so much as a bag of dirt from this place!!! read more
