Went to inquire about washer/dryer combination. After being in the appliance department for over ten minutes with no help I walked to the man behind a desk in the department. There were no other customers in the appliance department at this time. I had to ask for his attention as he was on the computer. He finally looked up with his mask around his neck instead of over his mouth and nose. I asked my question and he pointed to an aisle with many washer/dryer units. I asked which unit he was referring to and again he pointed. He never put his mask on, never moved from behind the computer, and never tried to assist me. He was disengaged, not complying with county mask requirements, and provided no customer service. Instead of purchasing, I left the store. With so many individuals unemployed, Lowe's there must be someone to hire with a work ethic and customer service skills. read more

Poor customer service! I bought a BBQ that was to be assembled and picked up the following day. This is my third trip out there and "the guy who puts them together" apparently took a vacation. Nobody bothered to mention that to me. The employees I've dealt with are young, sloppy, uninformed, and seem to have little interest in customer service. In short, they could care less. We ordered a dish washer and cooking range and delivery through them. Everything sounded so easy and then the nightmare began. Not one person seems to know what the heck they are doing. They give you the run around as to who's suppose to do the delivery and install. I spend several hours on the phone speaking to different folks about it and thought they finally go ti right when they called and confirmed that both the range and dishwasher would be delivered and installed on the same day. I took half a day of of work and came home and this guy shows up only with a dishwasher, no cooking range and a wrong range hood. Well, we gave them the benefit of the doubt. Waited a few more days and then again they screwed up. The delivery guy comes in several hours late and doesn't bring the equipments to install the cooking range (that we paid for). We called Lowes and guess what... THEY WON'T EVEN TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY OF IT. Watch out folks, they are extremely incompetent read more

Completely Unacceptable Service This is the first email I sent to the CEO of Lowe's Mr. Robert Niblock (robert.a.niblock@lowes.com) If you've had a similar experience email him, someone should be held accountable for service that can only be described as completely void. ------ Sir, Mid-June, my wife and I visited your Dublin Lowe's store to look at appliances for a home we were purchasing. The selection and ordering of the machines went smoothly. Given a delivery date of June thirtieth, we concluded our business. On the 29th of June, we received our automated call telling us that our appliances would arrive and be installed the next day. We received a call from the delivery driver the next day shortly before they arrived. Upon arrival at our house, the driver stated that they did not have our refrigerator. We called the store and learned that it had been damaged. This problem is the first unacceptable point. To not inform customers of these types of things promptly upon knowing something is wrong and leaving it up to the client to reach back out to Lowe's is unacceptable. I spoke with the store manager Will, and he assured us that a new refrigerator has been ordered and reset our delivery date for July 5th. On July 4th, we received another automated call. My wife took the day off to receive the refrigerator. When the delivery window came and went, we were back on the phone trying to understand what went wrong. Both my wife and I pursued calls to the store and the delivery vendor. We found out that our refrigerator was not on the local delivery truck. This problem is the second unacceptable point. Once again, your company failed to contact us when our delivery changed. On top of this, my wife took a day off of work, which cost us $600 in missing salary, not to mention 2 hours of my time, mostly on hold, for another $200 in lost salary. The third unacceptable point, and what I fear is the most systemic issue you have is how your staff handles conversations with your customers. I was hung up on twice and my wife once. Since she makes it a rule to know whom she is talking to, you can ask Aida about why she hung up on my wife. You have many customer service issues, Mr. Niblock. Currently, the loss of salary we have incurred because of your poorly run company is more than the refrigerator. As of the writing of this email, we still don't have a refrigerator in our new home, which we have incurred more cost from take-out, and loss of food. I assure you, we will never purchase anything from Lowe's from this point forward. I will be following up this email with a slew of posts to Google, Yelp and any other rating conduit at my disposal. ------ This is the second. ------ Well, this ended as I expected. We finally got our refrigerator but the delivery team failed to keep the promise that Lowe's gave us about changing the door from opening on the left to the right. If you are in need of anything that has to be delivered, I strongly and highly suggest you do not purchase them in this store. My husband and I purchased a refrigerator for our new home. Long story short, first time they missed the delivery due to a damaged item. And instead of ordering another one and contacting us, we had to call them to find out what happened and insisted they order a replacement and make sure it would show up on the next available delivery time frame. Which would show up the day after the Fourth of July. Which meant all the food we had for Independence Day would have to stay in coolers overnight. That's fine, we had to buy a lot of ice and make sure the coolers were sealed shut. Second time, they missed the delivery again, no one called us to let us know. This after I had taken the time off to accept this delivery. And looking at all the food in the cooler with no where to put them in. Again, we had to call Lowe's to find out what happened. Both my husband and I got on the phone and we both got hung up on. Him twice and me once talking to a live person. Oh I'm sure by now everyone reading this review could only imagine the frustration we are feeling with 1) not having a refrigerator and 2) no one informing us of why we have not received this item. We usually find what we are looking for, and it seems better staffed than Home Depot. We can bring our dog in and let her ride in the cart, which terrifies her, but she'll get over it someday. The prices seem competitive with everywhere else. It's always clean and tidy, which I appreciate. This place is located in a plaza with fairly new openings - i.e. Mayflower, Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot, etc. Tons of parking available. Huge location and very well organized to please the eye. Was helped by a super knowledgeable and friendly staff member, who says the difference between Lowe's and Home Depot is that the layout of Lowe's is more to appeal to women and that of Home Depot is more to appeal to men. Otherwise, they both sell home improvement items, though Lowe's is known to cost more. read more

Incredibly helpful customer service. I ordered an item for pickup at the store, and they had it ready for me in a matter of 30 seconds or so. They also asked why my receipt showed a quantity of 16, but I was only receiving 15. I explained that a customer service rep had called me right after I placed the order to tell me they were out of stock on one of the items and were refunded me it back. I would have assumed most people would have not even asked about the quantity disparity. Appreciated the follow up. Will definitely be back if I'm in the area, as Lowe's has become my new Mecca of sorts for all home goods. read more

Just recently moved to Dublin and had a lot of home improvement projects for my new home! I chose Lowes because I had gift cards to use and everyone was so friendly and helpful. I'm actually a home improvement novice but I learned so much from the associates I met. I needed to get myself a new drill and a store associate named Bob helped me out. He patiently went over the different tiers of drills and figured out which drill was best for my budget and needs. He also made new copies of keys for the new doorknobs that I bought. Next an associate named Roy went above and beyond to help my find me a new drain filter. Finally Tracey in the blinds department went over the pricing of the different types and we settled on reasonably priced type. Setting up an appointment for installation was a breeze. I will definitely be coming back (I need to get paint for my walls :D). read more

I needed blinds cut and she helped me cut 10 blinds with a smile on her face. I've never seen that at any home improvement store. She was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. News release on 12/5 states the opening will be 6:00 AM on 12/14. Grand opening festivities on 12/20. I'll update the review after visiting, but usually the customer service brings it down from 4 to a 3. It's generally mediocre to absent service. Regardless, it's much better than the 1-2 star Home Depot. The selection and quality of all departments is much higher in all regards. The store is actually kept clean an organized (versus the BORG - Big Orange Retail Giant, which is always looks like Katrina blew through the store). Lowe's is always better than the Borg in every aspect and I'll continue to spend my home improvement dollars here vs. you-know-where. EDIT: After the visit, nothing much more to add although it seems larger than the Lowe's in Livermore and has a better product offering than any area home improvement store (well, aside from the specialty Expo). It's amazing how clean and organized a store is on opening day ... hehe. Best home improvement store in the area. Since I'm off the Orange place, Lowe's is my default, and all things considered, meets the need. I like the convenience of being near(er) to home and work (this location), though gotta ding a star for the goofy way to get into the place along the frontage road. Understandably, it's a short-term issue until they area is built up, but you can only get there from the northbound Tassajara Road direction, or only from Dublin Blvd. if going southbound. Site selection aside, no strong complaints. Self-checkout is up and running -- I prefer it to chatty clerks whenever possible -- and they're never super busy to make parking or navigating the aisles a hassle. read more

I finally finished remodeling my house, so needless to say, I've been here every day for the past 2 months. In a lot of cases, I would give this Lowe's a 5-star review, but there were so many disconcerting and unpleasant situations were it just evens out to 3. First off, those folks by the lumber yard who, i think, are for business accounts, are SUPER helpful. They went through the first list of things I had and got EVERYTHING for me. 5-stars for them! I was in the flooring department quite a bit and although assistance is always appreciated, your opinion when not asked for is not. There was an older gentleman who took being helpful way too far. It went from "I can help you find that" to "I can help you find that and every other possible option we can provide!". No no sir. I just want the ONE THING. There was a white guy in the dishwasher/stove area that was clearly on commission. That guy was just DOGGING for an opportunity to sell us on something. We just ended up purchasing our appliances online. That was just unpleasant. I must say, generally when I asked any employee for assistance in finding something, they were all very knowledgeable. There was only one time we had to wait for them to figure it out. Also, their customer service desk people are amaaaaaazing. They're always patient with my BOOK of receipts and bringing coupon after coupon. Small note though, I wish some of the gals would smile. I tend to avoid the customer service counter when they're there. It always felt like they hated being there. :( No doubt I'll have more things to buy for the house and Lowe's will be my go to place. For their Gardening section. Compared to OSH, there is a large variety of vegetables to choose from. They are also very healthy looking and come in different sizes. I purchased a Jalapeno plant from them. There was a $3 one and a $5 option. The higher price already had about 4 Jalapeno's on it, while the $3 one would produce in about 2 weeks. I do wish they had more fruit plants, but maybe I just didn't look hard enough. They had some trees, but they were already about 3-4 feet tall. That's a good size, but I wanted to start my tree a little smaller. They have a variety of pots to choose from. My favorite starter pot is the cheap green ones. I didn't see those there, so I needed to spend a little more, but got better quality. Also their fertilizer and potting soil is cheaper than OSH. This will be my go to spot for any gardening equipment or plants. read more

We went to Lowe's to buy paint for our newly done garage and to do some investigating for our new baby room. We worked with Tracey Easterling and she was friendly, professional and really gave us terrific customer service. She walked up to us to provide us advice on colors for our baby's room even after she helped us with our initial question. The signs were actually misplaced in the paint section we were at and caused some confusion but Tracey helped us every stepped of the way. Unlike other home improvement shops she took care of us instead of putting the inconvenience onto the customer. We were so impressed with Tracey and will come back to this store because of her and her co-workers who also did their best to help. read more

OSH is small, old, and many times smelly for some reason. Home Depot is unorganized and has unfriendly staff. Now we get to Lowes... I must say that the pricing is pretty good and that the staff is friendly. The problems that I see are that it's hard to find staff halof the time and the other half they either don't speak English or they don't have the knowledge to help me. Boo. *Overall The store is well put together and clean. It's easy to find where I need to be but sometimes I just need to has someone to help me make sure that I'm getting the right thing or want to know the difference between products so I can make the right choice. Maybe for Christmas someone should sit on Santa's lap and ask for more knowledgable people who speak English to work here. read more

We were in the area the other last week and needed dirt so we thought we'd give Lowe's another shot (how can you mess up dirt?) so we stopped by. Everything went great, store looked good, and the employees were much more helpful and friendly that we had seen before when I did my first review last summer. A couple of days after buying the dirt, we realized we bought too many bags so we went back to return one bag. The folks at Lowes were extremely helpful, the return went smoothly, and we actually ended up spending $150 on other stuff they had that we couldn't find at the Home Depot we've been going to since we stopped going to Lowes. While we were shopping, every employee smiled, asked if we were finding everything ok, was helpful, all the stuff you want to see when you're at a store. These guys have improved dramatically with their customer service and my family was very impressed! We are now going to be Lowes customers again after a nine month break up. Got a message less than 24 hours before it was to be delivered that the order had been canceled because of a pricing error!! Last time I order any appliances or large ticket items from Lowes.....apparently they can't stick to a price...... I know that this is primarily our fault that we left some items (2 sample paints) at the check out counter, but to my surprise when I called, they said the items had already been sent back to the manufacturer! I find it funny that they would take the trouble of sending back small little containers to the manufacturer and that they supposedly send back all items left at the self check out counter to the manufacturer! Wouldn't they just be placed back on the shelf or AT LEAST be placed in a bin if just in case the customer WHO ALREADY PAID FOR IT comes looking for it??? We literally left it last night - less than 24 hours ago and they claim it has already been shipped back to the manufacturer!(????). Wow, they are efficient. This was my go to place to shop for home improvement things until today. My family and I were buying a few things including plants. We were at the self checkout and scanning things until we were stuck. My husband asked the clerk (his name is Greg) how to scan the plant since it didn't have a bar code. Greg's response was "very carefully". We were surprised by his rude and sarcastic response. Didn't look like he was excited manning that area either. He then said there should a bar code at the bottom of the pot. There wasn't one with his agitated voice. Then he proceeded to say we needed to get another one with a bar code. When we left my husband gave him a piece of his mind. I don't care who you are or if you hate your job, but if you're in the frontline of a store, there is no reason to be rude to customers. Even if you think customers are asking the dumbest questions, you don't treat customers badly or you will lose them. I'm taking my business elsewhere where I know I'll be treated better. Lowe's needs to seriously offer their staff training because they're lacking in customer service. read more

My wife and I purchased a wall oven from their website on December 22, 2016. We jumped through all the hoops with the different phone calls to set up delivery, install and haul away of our old oven. After several weeks we finally had an installer come to the house and take some measurements for the new oven. Our new oven was delivered and placed on our porch on January 17, 2017. We were told we would be contacted within three days after the delivery to schedule the installation. I had to call their customer care on January 24, 2017 since we still hadn't been contacted to schedule the installation. I was told I would be contacted by the the store (Dublin) within 24 hrs to schedule the installation. I did receive a call from a woman asking if I had been contacted the afternoon of the 24th, when I told her I hadn't, she said she would have the store manager call me to resolve the issue. It's now January 28, 2017, and I haven't received a call from anyone at Lowe's. My new oven still sits on my porch, exposed to the elements. Went to Lowe's Dublin to buy a refrigerator. The compressor in the one we had was failing. Temperatures within the refrigerator were unsafe. We knew what model we wanted, bought it, and was promised delivery 8/8/20. Earlier this week I tried calling to confirm. Literally called 8 times no answer. It kept bumping me back to the menu option. Tried to reach manager and always out. Finally reached someone who confirmed the delivery would be Saturday and we would be called the day prior with an eta. Today is 8/8/20. No phone calls nothing. Finally reached someone that said due to Covid delivery would be delayed until 9/20/20!!!!!!!!!! Sorry I do not believe this. They blamed the supplier. I told them someone there had confirmed delivery for today. At this point I was done. Not even a phone call to inform us of the delay. Finally told them we weren't interested in buying there anymore Went to our local appliance store Friedman's. They not only had a better refrigerator but it was cheaper and they had it in stock. They acknowledged covid delay but only approx 3-4 weeks. Because ours was in stock they will deliver in 3 days! Fabulous customer service from Jeff!!!! Even demonstrated all the features. Their appliances are all plugged in and working Will never go back to Lowe's. With this kind of customer service in the Covid times they will be belly up in no time! Moral of the story: Loews customer service was horrible. Had I told them to provide the worst customer service they were even worse than that. This place is going to go out of business pretty soon by focusing in free coffee and politeness instead of caring about the contractors and none contractors customers, I had it to wait for a forklift operator for more than 20 minutes while I need it my concrete sacks to be on my trailer they suck soo bad nobody want to do anything and is like they dont want to push business, if I was the manager in would give the home depot a ran for their money, but they will never be able to even compare. Bought 4 appliances over thanksgiving weekend 2017. Two were supposed to come around mid December, others by end of December. Only one came at mid December. For the others they said there was no possible way to find how long it would take. Talked to sales people, assistant manager, service manager, delivery manager etc. All saying different things. When I bugged them a lot, they said to return and get the money back! But I needed the new appliances for which the older one they had already taken away! We went to Lowes again to talk to them and get more info and also look at alternate applicnces. Most of alternate appliances they had, were on back order so no knowledge when they would come. Finally one more came by end of December. The washer then came by January 10th, and the Dryer came by January 20th. They brought wrong connector kit for Dryer, so we had to go to Lowes again to return that kit and buy another kit. All in all, we had to wait 5 times for delivery and installation. Their delivery service is very unreliable. Each time they either cancelled the appointment, came very early without calling first, or came very late without calling first. WE HAD TO WASTE LOT OF TIME. read more
