I was on the hunt for a very specific combo recently, a white trellis and a white rectangular planter, and after striking out at The Home Depot where they oddly didn't even seem to carry trellises, I decided to take a little drive over to Lowe's Home Improvement. And once again Lowe's completely came through for me. I've always felt like Lowe's has a little more of the home and garden decor vibe compared to other hardware stores. It feels a little more curated and easier to find those farmhouse or outdoor pieces that actually feel pretty and functional. Not only did I find the perfect white trellis for the exact space I had in mind, but it was over 90% off. Total score moment. I also found the perfect farmhouse-style white rectangular planter for the bougainvillea I had just picked up, and it ended up looking so gorgeous together. Honestly I left way happier than expected after originally feeling disappointed not finding anything at the first store. Helpful tip: Definitely check the clearance garden section because apparently that's where the magic was hiding this trip. I really want an alternative to just spending most of my paycheck at the other orange store. Being a homeowner, I feel like I am always going to a home improvement store to work on a house project. I needed a new lawn mower amd ordered it for pick up. Their pick up area is not intuitive. After a little bit of fiddling with 2 different touchpads they had at the spot where it's designated as "online orders," someone came over and helped me out. Almost got ran over as I was leaving the store. The place was stupid crowded and the people there were pretty obnoxious. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. read more

Shout out to two employees that work @ Lowe's on Power Inn Rd. I went into Lowe's on Tuesday 8/16/26 looking for Mighty Mint it's a plant based spray for insect and pest control. I started looking for it when a very polite young man approached me and asked if he could help me. I told him what I was looking for and he pointed me in the direction of where it should be. I started looking for it, but couldn't find it anywhere. The young man came walking by and asked if I found what I was looking for. I told him no, so he looked it up on his phone or whatever they use in the store, and said that the store was out. I thanked him and went looking for swifter floor wipes, and a couple of other things. I Looked around for a while, and not one other person asked if I needed any help. I went out to the garden area to check out, no long line. While I was checking out I described the young man to the cashier who was very polite and courteous. I wanted to know the young man's name, the cashier's name I can't make out begins with an F. The terminal#20@12:39. Per the cashier the name of the kind helpful employee goes by TJ- Tavario. I ordered an appliance for pick-up within 3 hrs bc mine broke n I needed an immediate replacement. 4 hrs have passed n have heard nothing about pickup. When I called to ask about it they told me they have only one person fulfilling orders and they don't know when mine will be ready. I love Lowe's, because you can find so many things for your diy's. I don't think there isn't anything that you need for home improvement that they wouldn't have it. Lowe's is a terrible company, with horrible business practices, with terrible employees and an even worse return policy. Their selection of tools is trash which would tell you that they don't get good products because someone can't negotiate a deal with the big manufacturers. The value of the products is not good at all. Some items are extremely overpriced for what they are, even worse is that the employees don't know the return policy on certain items. My friend bought me a pressure washer from Lowe's for my birthday on June 13. When I went to go return it today for an upgraded model it told me I couldn't return it. I asked why and they said because it had been more than 48 hours even though the product was brand new in unopened. I asked where they listed this policy. They said on their website and in the Customer Service return section. How shady is that? Why were they not listed where the products are purchased or next to the product so people know the return period since everything else in the store is 90 days.. because they don't believe in their products and they don't want to offer a decent return period for people. Go onto Reddit and you can hear a horror stories about people purchasing items and then going to install them only to find that they're broken but they can't return them because they fall under this 48 hour return policy that Lowe's does not advertise or let their customers know before they buy and walk out the door. Don't do business with this horrible business, give your business to a local hardware store. Home Depot who has a killer return policy and employees who actually care about you. Go to Amazon at the very least. You'll have 30 days to do returns with them. Lowe's sucks. Especially Muj and his minions. read more

Went to Lowe's to return an item and was helped by Paul. The process was so smooth I just had to commend him on his personality, professionalism and courtesy. I then went to purchase last minute Xmas decor items, and was pleasantly surprised there were still lights and fixtures that were 50% off (off to a great start for Xmas in 2026). I even bought a drill and other hardware items at low Lowe's pricing! Lastly, when I went to pay at the self checkout stands, I was greeted by Maria who was just like Paul...friendly, courteous and professional. It's no wonder she had all the exceptional service award tags on her vest! Only thing preventing me from awarding 5 stars was the fact that no flatbeds (like those at HD and Costco/Sams) were available in the cart corrals or inside the store. Today's visit went exceptionally well with my lovely better half , in the TOOLS DEPARTMENT. Our journey to purchase a 2000 RPM/1400 torque drill driver was met speedily with education-interaction with "J" and Jon. As we searched for a 1/2 " power drill driver. "J" , covered in a bright LOWES vest of service badges, milestone patches and a confident smile, approached us with positive customer service, a present mind with pride in his department, gave detailed insight on the drill bits, hex connections and smooth connections for the "SKIL" power drill. "J" also took time to address the "BOGO" sale that Lowe's offered with a thorough SKU number search. This outstanding effort, helped us purchase drill bits and a 10" extender piece with a cordless wrench. We were excited to establish a membership card as this was a beneficial purchase for our business. Upon exiting this location, Jon was in self checkout and assured us that our purchase would receive the "BOGO" deal and assisted with the touchscreen business credit card setup. GREAT JOB YOU ALL!!! I recently bought a top end paint sprayer and they sold me a warranty extension. We were originally going to do the project and change our mind due to the complexity of the project. So we decided to return the product 4 days later. They refused to accept it. Box was unopened. Also they refused to give us back the extended warranty we purchased. And when I bought it nobody told me they have a 48 hour time limit to return it. Putting that on the box itself or at the shelf would help customers. And their manager was rude. Like it was my fault. When the key holders came I asked them why not give a key to someone that actually works within the department & they were trying to smart mouth me saying only higher ups get a key. Yeah I bet!, let customers at one of the most used departments suffer while everyone with a key is inside having gossip time on the clock. On August 17, 2025, my wife and I visited Lowe's Store #1148, located at 8369 Power Inn Road, Elk Grove, CA 95624, to begin a full kitchen remodel. We met with Natasha Holt, one of your kitchen designers, to design and order new cabinets. During our consultation, we specifically stated multiple times that we wanted cabinets with hardwood doors and drawers, not MDF. Ms. Holt assured us that the Shenandoah Breckenridge cabinets we selected were made of hardwood. Relying on that information, we placed an order totaling over $15,000. When the cabinets arrived, we discovered that the doors and drawers were made of MDF, not hardwood as promised. This is false information that directly influenced our purchase decision. Providing incorrect product details to make a sale is unacceptable and misleading to customers. I have already received a quote from another company estimating $5,000 just to replace the MDF doors and drawers with true hardwood. Additionally, the Lowe's contractor who came to measure our kitchen either measured incorrectly or the designer entered incorrect dimensions. As a result, the cabinet sizes were wrong, and our cooktop did not align with the vent. Many of the cabinet doors and drawers were also not seamless, unlike the store display. We had to place multiple new orders to correct these mistakes. We spoke with Store Manager Ning, who told us we would be compensated for the inconvenience and errors, but to date, nothing has happened. When the new order arrived on October 9, 2025, three of the cabinets were still incorrect. We had to return them to the store and place yet another order. Both Natasha (designer) and David (department manager) refused to take responsibility for the mistakes, and when we raised the issue again, David brushed us off, saying he would "try to get to us." This dismissive attitude is deeply frustrating and unprofessional. As of today, October 9, 2025, we still do not have a functioning kitchen, and it has already been nearly two months. We have five children, and being without a kitchen for this long is creating a serious hardship for our family. Please investigate this matter immediately. I am requesting: A full review of this order and the misinformation provided by the designer. Appropriate compensation for the delays, incorrect orders, and misleading product information. A prompt resolution that ensures our kitchen is completed correctly. Our purchase order number is PO# 294288453. read more

Hats off to Manager Ivan. I was 5 mins from going to Home Depot. So after I purchased and installed a doorknob. I was told that a lock key was missing. The item was previously taped at time of purchase. Obviously returned w/o the lock key. A very " NOT SO FRIENDLY" Amayah( I think that's the spelling) told me I'd have to uninstall the doorknob, return item and repurchase which meant id have to reinstall the knob again? ARE YOU KIDDING ME. That's quite a chunk of change to get one knob installed. I asked for a manager, she smugly said" I'm it for now, all other managers are in a meeting. This was at customer service mind you. I said I'll wait( I decided to purchase a few more things) She told thee other cashier to tell me it would be a 4 hr wait. I suggested she grab the same knob from I'm store and do a am exchanging and I'll keep the one at home that I bought and you can take the lock key from the new knob and return it as a missing item. She said NO. I was calm and polite the whole time. I decided to go home after seeing another employee whose known me for 15+ yrs and he said just come and talk to a manager and a couple days later I did and that manager was IVAN & Apologies for the novel but people need to know when credit is due or those who represent their company she's a bad light and potentially lose their customers. I've shopped at this store since it was built in my neighborhood; the one thing that always stands out (for me) is the service or lack there off. In comes Fred, who 'wowed' us from the get-go with his excellent customer service and pleasant personality. During our conversation, Fred is a retiree and has been with Lowe's for about 6 months. He understands customers like us prefer to be shown where things are located. So, I hope Lowe's management team reads this review and extend the same recognition to Fred for a job well done! I had to look at the new Christmas decorations. They started putting them out the other day and it's only the beginning of October. I do a huge display for Xmas and I buy a lot of it from Lowes. Lowes has more decorations than other stores. Sears closed down and Home Depot selection doesn't match Lowes. They always have the best and newest Christmas decorations. That is why I have to come early and buy at retail instead of sales since all the new stuff will be gone by the time it goes on sale. Does anyone read reviews about Hardware Stores? I certainly don't, nor would I expect anyone to read this one. Yet I am so frustrated by the "customer service" I experienced during my most recent visit to this location, I felt it only right to share my experience. (I do also believe writing this will be cathartic.) Anyone who has ever had to buy lumber must know the quality they supply is generally terrible. (Google: Lowe's Lumber Memes.) Well, imagine my frustration as my husband and I are searching for just ONE decent-quality cut and finding nothing but split pieces. I was ready to just give up, but my husband requested an employee bring down another pallet. He was told that was not going to happen in a rude and condesending tone; the employee went on for a while. Having heard enough of his belittling voice, I interjected, "Ok, that's fine, but we don't need your attitude." He decided to promptly turn around and walk off. If someone is too lazy to do their job, fine. However, don't mouth off. If someone can't bite their tongue or refrain from speaking in an unpleasant manner, it would be best for all if they locate a job requiring no social interaction. I was really happy, they have a help button you can use to get help in the blinds section.. We called ahead to make sure the hours that someone would be working in that department. This review is specific to "Minute Key". Lowes in general is OK as big-box home improvment stores go. Straight lumber, hard to find a salesperson who knows anything. But as to Minute Key: "Two week key" is certainly a more appropriate name, but I appreciate the marketing. The pros: The actual key-programming guy I eventually met, who made the system work, was efficient, professional, nice guy (Emmet H) The cons: took two weeks to get a key. Car is old enough and base-model enough that it doesn't have a fob, but I think I was charged for one anyway (about $220; can't tell from the paperwork what I was actually charged for) and Emmet wasn't sure why the company still sent him a fob for me after I had a long conversation with the Minute Key people about how the truck did not have one. They're not able to make a non-chipped key (which I think is actually the fault of Chevrolet) but weren't sure about that. Overall, seemed like a shoestring operation that have a nice-looking machine that can sometimes make keys for some people. Still cheaper than the dealer, I 'spose. read more

The. 3rd party delivery crew scratched the side of the new refrigerator.I didn't realize it until they literally ran out the house. They didn't even hook up the water because the water line was too far away from fridge! Installation was included! I ended up paying someone else to hook it up (5 minute job!) Because of the scratch, Lowes wanted me to buy another refrigerator by going to the Elk Grove store. Pay and wait for delivery of new one.... Have it delivered and return the damaged and get a credit. The store manager never answered emails and called once over a week after. They wanted to give me a $50 E CARD.... The service I received is a fucking joke! I placed an online order for Roach Motels and a humane rat trap. The associate, who wasn't even in uniform, approached my car and handed me my stuff. Went in Wednesday morning for an online pickup order. The employee at self checkout saw me get helped by another employee at the online pickup area. As I was walking out he stopped me and accused me of stealing, not even asking for a receipt but literally telling me I have to pay for the item in my cart and not walk out with it. Then grabbed the item in my cart looking for a tag that was needed for proof that I paid online. I had the online pickup slip on my phone to show but he didn't even want to listen to me. I've spent hundreds of dollars at this store specifically for anything from a renovation for my home to something as simple as a screwdriver and never had an issue here.
