I have never been out to the Erie Store of Lowe's. I rarely find needs of big box stores for hardware needs though when I do, Lowe's has always been my favorite. Since the Lowe's I used for decades was closed during the pandemic and never reopened , the company seems to have used the opportunity to retain Boulder County shoppers but locate a new much larger version in a newly developing area of housing. We needed to replace some garden mini fencing to contain our native low water plants from last year that were flopping into the public sidewalk which ended up getting trampled by pedestrian and canine adventures who the could not resist stepping into the gardens and trampling even more plants. We found exactly what we were looking for, at a good price too. We may even go back for more to replace the original section we put in decades ago with a less sturdy version from the old Lowe's nearer to Boulder. It was a nice drive out to this store and even though we only used the garden center we would consider the other departments when similar reasons to leave Boulder aria again. Staff were immediately available to help and the ample parking lot was refreshing. read more

Went to this Lowe's for AC cleaner yesterday evening, expecting to be in and out. I couldn't find it where I expected it so I looked for someone to help. Nobody, not a red vest to be found. I walked from the front to the back, from garden shop to paint department. Nobody. At one point I started calling "hello, anybody here", just to be weird. Nope, not even crickets. Tried the front desk and the poor lady stuck there said that everybody was at lunch but will be "right back". I am not making this up but I can see how you would think I am. Finally found a guy who showed me where it was, checked my own self out and was on my way half an hour later. Just to make it worse, the spray nozzle was broken off so I will need to make another trip to return it. read more

For an $80B+ company, this is unacceptable. According to Apple Maps, this location was listed as opening at 6:00 AM on New Year's Day, which led me to drive nearly an hour across town. When I arrived, I was told the store would not open until 9:00 AM. Holiday hours are understandable. Publishing incorrect hours on major platforms like Apple Maps is not. Keeping accurate store hours across public listings should be a basic expectation for a company of this size. read more

Jason was the associate who helped me in appliances this evening. I have been nursing the freezer on my 2018 LG fridge for a couple days and when I came home from work tonight the refrigerator portion of the LG was dying too, barely cool milk and other products.. I know an appliance like this should last more than 7 yrs. But they do not make them like they use to. I was able to select an LG counter depth French door fridge which will hopefully fit our kitchen better and it will be delivered on Fri. Pretty happy with the process given I was here on WED evening. Well Ive seen great reviews for Billy in the Windows dept. Unfortunately Billy may have moved on and I got stuck with surly girl the other day. Surly girl really hates having to help customers. You can almost feel the contempt coming from her as you approach her with a question. She was there last year and inexplicably...she's STILL THERE, brooding around the Windows and flooring area. Ugh. Brief update: This is still a good store. It is well-organized and they do a good job of keeping everything in stock. I go here mostly for specialized items that I can't get at my local Ace hardware (which is easier to navigate but doesn't have everything I need). read more

This is the third time in the last 6 months that I have been at this store for a small home repair, and they don't have the part that I need. And I am not talking about seldom used items. I was told by a manager that it is a "vendor/supplier" issue. I was told it takes them "about four weeks to get items delivered." If you see you are running low & know it takes 4 weeks to get resupplied, then reorder at the 5 or 6 week mark. How can you run a multi billion dollar business & not know this! read more

Wonderful customer service! I have been in this store several times since it opened and had great customer service each time. It's a new store with new employees, so you must expect a little bit of "let me see wheee that is". But the floor service members are friendly and will help you find what your looking for. Lowes also took one of my returns (no receipt and no credit card) without hesitation. I will continue to ship here and avoid Home Depot. Please read my review on why... I bought 3 new rugs at Lowes. When I say Billy (windows department) gave me 5 star service, I seriously mean it. He never stopped moving once, helping everyone in the back of the store, and he really did take the time to make sure they get what they needed. I waited 15-20 minutes for his attention (which I absolutely had no problem with, as it seemed like there weren't any workers anywhere else back there, so he didn't have a choice.) You can tell that this man is energized by helping people, and fosters a relationship with regulars. He asked me to come back, and update him on the progress for my project, and I will probably come back to your store for him. A word of warning, Lowe's: workers like Billy are not common. I'm not sure what your hiring protocol is, but almost every part of your store is lacking adequate help and services, every single time I come in. Department heads don't know their inventory, or enough to give simple advice. I once stood at the register with my stuff for 20 minutes, because your front lanes person didn't know how to process my card on the POS system, and nobody was there to help. I left my products, and went to a different store way farther out of my way. From the opinion of an outsider, your store reeeeeeally does not deliver, at all. Of course Billy did everything with a smile on his face, and patience. I am giving the highest review, on behalf of Billy, because I want this review to reflect how I felt with my experience on this trip. They say this location was open till 10pm. I was there 9:45 with one more customer and they had all doors locked. We waved and guy told us that they were closed. We were showing him that there is 15 minutes till 10pm and he just kept saying that are closed. read more

I will never buy a large appliance from Lowe's again. Their subcontractor that was supposed to install our wall oven/microwave unit didn't show up and changed the charges mid-process while Lowe's in Erie did NOTHING to help and took no responsibility. Associates were rude (except for one) and managers made fake promises and did nothing. read more

Since becoming a new homeowner, I've made countless trips to the hardware stores. I live in Boulder, so at first I exclusively shopped at McGuckins and Home Depot in Boulder. One day while doing business in Lafayette, I stopped by this Lowe's store in Erie to look for something, and I was amazed by what I saw! It was so clean, the employees were so friendly and helpful, their demo ceiling fans and lights actually worked. In addition, I ordered a bathtub online. Unfortunately, the tub arrived damaged... but this store worked with me to make it right. I am a happy customer and will continue shopping at this Lowe's location! read more

Not respectful of customers' sleep schedules. I got a call at 7:45 AM from someone named R.J. at Lowes. My answering machine clearly states that I don't accept calls before 9AM, but after getting that message, he called and woke me up again. I called customer service and the wait to speak with someone was over an hour. Also, despite having closed stores, which makes it less convenient to return items, they aren't taking returns (new with a receipt) after 90 days, even for credit. read more

This store is new and looks great and Billy was very helpful, but I did end up with a big issue. I went in to purchase a new water heater for my home. Billy helped us find the correct water heater and signed us up for Lowe's credit so we could get a discount, then he set us up for the installation on Friday afternoon. Billy did a great job explaining everything to us. Now, here's the problem. The installer/scheduler called us and said they were overbooked and they couldn't come until Monday afternoon, which was fine, then she informed us that we had purchase a 6 year warranty and that the job would cost over $2000 that included the permit ( I don't think you need a permit to install a water heater) but didn't include any extra work or items needed. We ended up calling someone else and Lowe's lost the sale. We felt that the installers were trying to upsell and con us. We will never trust Lowe's for anything that might require using one of their install services. read more

I walked in today 04-05-23 and I said "good afternoon" to a lady that was working in the registers waiting for someone to check out with her but she just looked and sighed at me, like what!? Lowes hires a TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE third party delivery service (Riverstone Logistics) and what's worse is Lowes CAN'T and WON'T do anything about the service! I hope Lowes understands that whoever THEY contract with, will affect the reputation of Lowes!! We bought a refrigerator from Lowes and it made it to the townhouse, but then taken away all based on the decision of the DELIVERY people. We have a Dumb Waiter; size of an elevator, 800 pound certified lifting capacity. All the Deliverers had to do was slide the new refrigerator into the DW, send it to the second floor, then slide it out. He wanted to ride with the refrigerator, but that is not allowed as it is certified for items, not people. They said they could not "slide" the refrigerator onto the DW because "it would scratch the floor" We said to just put a blanket down and slide. They wouldn't do it because they didn't wan't to be liable for any damages!!! I don't understand . . . don't they "SLIDE" the refrigerator, on the kitchen floor, when it is put into its kitchen place . . . what's the difference? They wanted us to take apart the chair lift that is on the stairs! I am the homeowner and buyer of the refrigerator, but my 92 year old mother resides in the home; so I was not there but my brother was there to receive the delivery. I get on the phone with Lowes and come to an AGREEMENT to leave the refrigerator in the garage. HOWEVER, the third party delivery service took it upon themselves to reload it back in the truck and leave without EVER talking to Lowes about it. So Lowes contacts them to say we agreed to leave it in our garage . . . but the third party delivery service won't turn the truck around. They say they will bring it back tomorrow! It had already been unboxed and now is going to be riding around in the truck all day being moved around for other deliveries?! Won't this cause more possible damage then putting in on our DW (which moves VERY SLOWLY) and sending it up a floor?!?!? I hold Lowes responsible as they hired the third party and therefore that third party represents the reputation of Lowes. WHY was I even on the phone with Lowes trying to sort this out if the third party is going to make decisions without ANY INPUT FROM LOWES???! It was ABSOLUTELY INSANE RIDICULOUS that the deliverer would not put the refrigerator on the DW!!! They made a HUGE mountain about NOTHING! We had to cancel the order and I will not be shopping at Lowes in the foreseeable future! We have been loyal Lowes customers for at least three decades and were planning on using Lowes for an upcoming home rebuild project. However, I can no longer use or recommend Lowes for items as they are ruled by a third party incompetent delivery service (Riverstone Logistics). read more

I have been in this store twice. The first time I had a list of three very simple items: weather stripping for a door, a couple of disposable foam paint brushes, and light bulbs. They didn't have the size foam brushes I needed on display, no one was in the paint department to ask if they were elsewhere. They didn't have 100 watt equivalent LED daylight light bulbs, no one to ask either. I found the correct type of weather stripping but the box was marked brown, yet it contained white. I need the brown. I found about 4 employees hiding in the lumber department playing on their cell phones. None would come help. Today, I needed a small square screwdriver; again, no employees in the tool department, go to customer service where 3 employees are standing just looking lost. I ask for help, they look at my like I asked for the moon, they cannot find anyone willing to walk the 25 feet to the tools to help. I stand there for about 10 minutes, finally one gentleman says to follow him and he tries to find what I need. No luck, but at least he was kind of willing to try. This store has plenty of employees, only none are willing to help the customers! Better management is needed! read more
