I have been shopping here for years, and have had nothing but good experiences. That being said, I have to give a special kudos to the people at Lowe's for helping me to make my van more handicap accessible! Special thanks to Will, who cut the wood for me, and Bubba who helped us both out in coming up with solutions to the issue of raising the wheel chair platform over the 2 inch lip where the door closes. It may be a redneck rig job, and it may not look pretty, but it does an awesome job and it is light-weight enough for me to easily handle. I called around to several places that were supposed to help with access issues for the disabled with varying results. It turns out that Lowe's was the most helpful place of all. They also offer Veteran discounts and special parking for Veterans. read more

This review pertains to the in-home Consultation only in regard to exterior doors. We have been doing business with Lowe's forever. A few hiccups here and there but Lowe's has always been great about handling them. We were in the store shopping for doors and installation. The gentleman in that particular area generated the paperwork to initiate the process, gave us the card of an in-home consultant and we were all set. I received a call from a different in-home Consultant the next day by the name of "Mark" and I immediately did not care for his tone. His tone lacked genuine upbeat customer service. Matter of fact, it was dead and uncaring, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt and scheduled an appointment. A situation arose on my behalf, and I had to reschedule twice that week. I finally gave up and texted him that I needed to cancel this second appointment and that I would be back in touch with him when I could better pinpoint a successful appointment date and time. He responded back to the first part of the text regarding the cancel, with an encouragement that he could re-schedule me for Friday or Saturday, but he did not respond to the last part where I specifically stated that I would check back in with him once I was better able to determine a more successful appointment. Instead, he took the liberty to schedule me for this Saturday without my authorization or consent. I received a confirmation email from Lowe's last night, and I immediately cancelled the unauthorized appointment. This morning, I texted him, voiced my dissatisfaction of his behavior, and filed a formal complaint with Lowe's Corporate. Do not let these salespeople use their tactics of running rough shot or disrespect you by showing complete disrespect and disregard for your rights and privacy! All in an effort to make a sale. 'Tis the season to curse under your breath, involuntary smash tiny colored lights bulbs, and continuously try to estimate your electrical bill for the month of December. Thank goodness Lowe's Xmas lights were easy on the wallet. We bought over 450 ft of lights and extension cords over the last few days and after returns and exchanges, our total dollar spent was just about $120, which isn't that bad at all. The selection was great and workers here were surprisingly helpful. That's not always the case with big box hardware stores. During these holiday transactions, I also bought retractable shades for my home office doors. I told the worker I needed the length to be 72inches. Fast forward to me installing them, they were about 10 inches short. Turns out the worker grabbed a 64in shades and when they trimming them, I was off looking at holiday lights. I was able to exchange them, no problem, and get the proper size. Like I said, this type of customer service is not normal at a big box store. Way to go Lowe's, you pretty much created loyal customer for life. read more

Bought a Weber grill online, it was going to be delivered by this location as they had the particular model & color we wanted. We received confirmation that it would deliver on Friday, 6 days later. The delivery team was very average, and there was definite damage to the grill, however, when I called and spoke with the Customer Service they connected me with the Manager. He asked me to take pictures of the concerns and he would make it right. I can honestly say that they were fair and even though the scratches and and issues are not back to new, I would recommend this location particularly on the way their Manager handled my concerns with some financial reimbursement. read more

As a die hard Lowe's patron it saddens me to give such a low score to Lowe's as this is not my normal experience with the chain. Never have them deliver an appliance... go elsewhere! Today was the second attempt and successful damage to my home. While the first delivery attempt resulted in leaving damaged product, my wood floors and walls suffered the brunt of the damage. The best part. The employee while leaving my house, flippantly tells me to "call Lowe's, they'll take care of the damages" Fast forward to today, same story, only this time they managed not to hit a wall, but damages the floors more so than the first time. They know what a floor guard is, but choose not to use it? I am now left with the ordeal of obtaining estimates with the promise of leaving my home for 3 days, living where? While the floor is sanded and restrained. And they hit the house with the new refrigerator while bring it in the second time. Waiting for Aston Kutcher from PUNK'd to jump out at any moment... Alas, it's a big box chain, no accountability, no recourse... never again! PS: to the second delivery team. AL was friendly and helpful. Funny on his on way too. I went for som supplies for some DIY projects I'm working on. I've come to this location several times throughout the years I've lived here and never really had a bad experience. Most staff are often friendly and helpful (exceptions apply). The establishment is clean and well organized for the most part and they usually carry the things you need. If they don't, they will order it for you if needed. They also have a truck coming every day/week with stuff I was told. Their garden area is decently stocked and their prices are reasonable to the places around. This is a store I will continue using definitely. read more

I came here to purchase 20 plastic storage containers for $170. I already have 30 others that I picked up at a different Lowe's, but I run a business from home and needed a grab a few more. I went to the aisle and all the containers were on the top shelf, which required to ladder or fork lift to bring down. I went to Customer Service. She told me to wait in the aisle and she would page someone for me. I heard her page someone. I waited 10 min, no one came. I went back to ask if she could page someone again. She did. I waited another 10 min, no one came. I flagged down another employee nearby and asked if he could help me. He said no. He told me he works in a different part of the store and just walked away. I flagged down another employee, he also told me he couldn't help me. He suggested I go to Customer Service. I went back to Customer Service. She said, "if no one is coming I don't know what else I can do." Yeah. You and me both. I asked a cashier without a line if he could help me, he said he couldn't - but he knew someone who could. He asked me to wait by the register. I waited 15 min, he never returned. Maybe every time an employee goes to help a customer they get swallowed up into the ground and they're all trapped somewhere - trying to escape and in need of our help. But, we'll never know what happened to them all because there appears to be no reliable way for the staff to communicate with each other. This is specific to this location. Other Lowe's have been great. Also, the girl at Customer Service was doing her best. Can't say the same for anyone else. read more

I have been working with this Lowes for many years, and I am completely blown away by what they will do to help people in need. A friend of mine has a mental health facility, and they were in desperate need of an appliance. The people and the management at Lowe's bent over backwards to get the appliance for this facility. During my cancer treatment, I spent countless hours just walking around Lowe's for exercise and to get out of the house. I was quarantine for six months, but always snuck out with a mask to walk around Lowes. They literally treated me like family throughout that process. Many of the employees have seen my daughter since she was born 10 years. Obviously, it's a great place to work, because many of those employees are still there. I wish more companies were like this. I requested Lowes to send out their third party company they use for plumbing and countertops on 9/9/20. 10 days later the company "Handy" called to make appt. to come out to my house. A representative came to take pictures, measurements and talk with me about my needs. So I did not receive an email or phone call from "Handy" about what could be done or what were my options until 10/2/20. On the voice mail that I received stated that the work for an under mount sink replacement was out of their scope of business. Well what a disappointment. No options left such as a new countertop could be installed and no estimate on the plumbing that I requested either. Nothing at all after all this time. Wow. My recommendation to other customers seeking help with installations is to go to another company. Lowes cannot handle your business because it is out of them scope (limited ability). Absolutely terrible service. Went there to get new carpet for new house. I had to ring the service bell and wait 20 minutes every time I was there. I went to look at carpet, went to setup estimation, and went to order the carpet. I setup the estimation and somehow it was missed so they never showed up. I called 3x that day and they was told everything was good, apparently that was incorrect. Finally got the estimation a week after it was originally supposed to be. Ordered the carpet, was told it probably would not take full 2 weeks to get here but once it did the installers would call to setup appointment for installation. Got called the day it was due that it's delayed. Got called few days later stating the vendor ordered the wrong size and the carpet needs completely reordered. I need to move out of my current house by next week and now because their terrible service and mistakes, I won't have carpet in my new house for me to fully move in. Someone else is moving in my house next week, so can't delay that. They have completely messed up this transaction. As I've been having these issues, I have heard of 4 other couples having very similar experiences with Lowes. I am utterly disappointed and frustrated on an already overwhelming process. read more

I don't often review places but I'd like to help others like myself and advise them to stay away from here. This is by far the worst Lowe's I've ever been too. It's almost impossible to find someone to help you and when you do it's "not their department" or "they'll call someone else"... someone else never comes. Their products were all over the place with little organization and every time I was directed to go to a particular isle to get something, that thing was never there. Worst service ever! On Black Friday 2021, I ordered an entire kitchen suite plus an entry door. Samsung discontinued the Tuscan bronze and I already had 2 of my 4 appliances installed. What's worse is the management has not put forth the effort to fix my problem! They act as if they couldn't care less. It's mid-April 2022 and I STILL don't have a solution to my problem! Nothing but a complete headache to spend extra time calling back and following up. Don't bother buying unless you have the patience of Job!!! I'm so torn on where to go with this review. First visit was met with multiple disinterested and plainly rude employees to the point where I was wondering what the hell I did wrong. Second visit was met with people who seemed to know that some of the other employees were rude and disinterested... and they were apologetic and helpful. Third and fourth visits were met with employees that were very friendly and helpful. Thus, my initial 2-star thoughts have escalated to 4-stars. That's where I'm going to go with this Lowe's location. They have had everything in stock that was the reason for al of my visits... and I while I was raised as a Home Depot guy, Lowe's has really grown on me in the last year or so. Since this location is convenient to where I currently need to be doing work, I will continue to come here everyday (and sometimes two or three times a day). read more

I just wanted to update my review from 6/16/2023! Robert Jacobs reached out to me and in regards to my windows and the frustration throughout the process. The store manager Tresse sent Mike to look at my windows to better understand my concern. Mike was kind of enough to listen to me and my husband's concerns with the windows we had purchased. We wasn't happy and felt like we just had to settle for the windows they sent and just be done with it. He told us he would reach out the following week with a a resolve. Robert actually reached out to us the next day via email helping to resolve the issue. When I hadn't responded due to an email I do not use much he called me. We really appreciate the quick response from him, as well as Tresse listening and sending Mike out. We started going to different places before we started our projects and new additions to our home in April of 2022, to just to get a feel for the customer service, we chose Hermitage Lowe's because the customer service was great. Doug at the Pro Desk is great to work with and Janee who is a cashier at customer service is just a joy. Everyone we had a encounter with was great and that is why we chose the Hermitage Lowes. I am really glad we was able to get it resolved so we could continue being customers. read more

Today's experience at Lowes Hardware on Hwy 70 SE Hickory was pitiful. Had waited 45 minutes for some help in plumbing, finally had to walk to the service desk to ask for help. Help arrived to turn off the PA request for help then he said he would be right back. After waiting another 30 minutes for him to return we had to go to the service desk again. This is the 3rd time of being treated like this at a place that use to be wonderful to shop at. You have lost a long time customer. Lowe's is my go to. I have made use of the online ordering and pick-up more than a few times and it has been relatively without issues - until today. I order mid-morning. There are a couple of sheets of drywall so why not let the young guys wrestle it. I get the notice at 9:42 that my order is in process. I have more than a few things to do since we just moved in a month ago, but I usually get a ready to pick up email in an hour or so. I have some errands in that area so I figure SURELY by the time I get through it will be ready. I decide to give them a little more time and eat at the Chinese buffet close by - more on that later. Notice I said buffet...this should take an hour or more or when the ask me to leave. I'm full, I'm MSG'd to the max and sleepy, grumpy and a couple more dwarfs I can't think of at the moment. I amble over to Lowe's and park in the "15 MINUTE ONLY PICK-UP" (more on that later on in this very review). Well it is lunch time at Lowe's, too. The only people manning the customer service area have little to no experience with the online pick-up process. I have my order number, I have my phone number, I give them my witness protection name - just kidding. "Sir - it never got release to be pulled." - whatever that means. She is not familiar with the "new system". She calls someone, who calls someone, who is at lunch. "If you don't mind waiting we will have it ready ASAP." As Soon As People get back from lunch? As Soon As Purgatory freezes over? I'll be over here in the patio furniture area - they will email me - right? "Of course!" Should have went for the hammock. I wait. I wait some more. I wander around the store. I switch price tags on items. I put "Don't forget to flush" signs on the display commodes and hide behind the doors moaning "Let me out!" I may have made all that up. I walk by one of the big blue carts that has a few of the items I ordered on it, abandoned in the aisle. I wander toward the front knocking over displays as I go. When I get to customer service I count at least 8 employees - and one me - unless you count my other personality. There must be a class on how to avoid eye contact as one is coming, one going, two on the phone, one picking his nose and one flirting with the new cashier. I finally talk to one guy who says they probably have to something, something, something - then walks away - I assumed to help, but no... A lady accidentally made eye contact - "I want to cancel my online order and get a refund on my card - I have been here over an hour and a half waiting on items I could have walked in, bought and walked out in less than thirty minutes! If you can have it up here in 5 minutes, I will still take it." "Sir, it is ready - you should have gotten an email." "Should have is the operative phrase here. I assure you I did not." My order makes its way to the front and the young man has the nerve to ask if I need help loading two 4x8 sheets of drywall! I'm 62! Does your mama still pick out your clothes?! So, that 15 minute parking spot reserved for online orders - I spent and hour and 45 minutes there - glad they don't write tickets... read more

going to this Lowes for the first time because they had item in stock, I ordered on line. when I got to store I waited more than 5 min while they looked and couldn't find item for the lady in front of me when I finally got to counter I was told to go to lumber door to pick up. when I got there nobody knew anything. they kept trying to look it up instead of calling front desk. I had already signed the paper work. I asked for manager and a guy tell me his name is Jesse brewer only made matters worse. not wearing anything like most managers no name tags no vest. and didn't really care how long I waited. they finally found item, it was at front door waiting for me. over 30 min wasted when I was already parked in front. I went to Lowe's for a ceiling fan - I couldn't find anything in my price range and I asked the associate there to help eventually he spent about 5 minutes with me saying nothing so I was going through the ceiling fans one last time to see if I missed something that I could afford. When I couldn't find anything I was starting to leave when a guy just came up to me his name was Dustin. Let me tell you Dustin rocks he showed me a ceiling fan that was not on display for exactly the price I wanted to spend on it. I can't leave this place a review as bad as my service with them. I needed an exterior door replaced. Shelled out the money for it. They made me sign a contract that covered them for crap service and/or lack thereof. On the day it was to be installed "the installer is sick". On the next day it's to be installed "the installer ordered the wrong door". From speaking with the manager, Trevor in the door department threw the installer under the bus saying he ordered the wrong size, however I was there when he measured it, I was there when the order was put in, and I have a copy of the invoice with the correct size. Anyway, 6 months later, still no door, no contact from Lowes and I just learned they refunded the order last month with out even telling me. I call and I learn that some asshole named Paul said I REQUESTED THE REFUND?!?! I did not and that was just some asshole trying to sweep terrible and incompetent service under the rug. Yet another reason to shop at Home Depot: I ordered an item online, went to pick it up and they said they don't have it and that the order was cancelled. Good customer service would have apologized and looked for the item in another store, but not here. They also didn't even call or email me to let me know the item was not in stock and that the order was cancelled. "Oh, she must have gotten busy" was the response. Are you kidding me?!?! My husband and I found what we were looking for, but without much help. We needed help loading a 6ft. kitchen cabinet onto a dolly to take up to the register and into my car. I asked the employee whether they had home delivery & before answering he asked, "well does it fit in your car now?" I told him it barely did & he said "well ya we have delivery.." The guy "willingly" loaded it up on the dolly & we pulled it to the register. We waited 20 minutes for someone to help us load it into the car. When the guy finally came, I realized he had been eyeing us the whole time as we waited for someone to come help, hoping it wouldn't be him. The customer service here is poor. I never take the time to review my experiences at retail stores, but this is an exception. I was dreading having to go to Lowes to pickup a brand new grill, two propane tanks, a large patio heater and some other odds and ends. I walked in, immediately was greeted by an employee who directed me to Roy and 10 minutes later, I was driving home with everything I needed. They brought all of the large items up front for me, helped me load up my pickup and sent me on my way. Very exceptional customer service, especially for a busy holiday weekend.
