We usually find what we are looking for when we go to Lowe's and on this occasion we found what we were looking for and them some. We went to get concrete blocks and some treated 4x4 lumber and we were able to secure all of those. We had a very helpful guy at the register that found the concrete blocks online and then rang them out for us and then told us where exactly in their big store to find them. Of course the cost of everything these days has gone up but usually it is not too bad. Saw a lovely outdoor patio set I would like to have but we were not in the market for that on this day. Picked up some cleaning supplies though and a piece of foam board I need for a craft project. We will continue to shop here and another location on the south side of Indy. read more

I used their online site to order ahead for a curbside pickup and it was overall excellent, easy to see online what was in stock and how much, price, etc. I was getting 17 bags of mulch for my 81 yo mother's house and didn't want to haul it all to the car myself. Lowe's staff Dulce and Bobby were amazing at having the order ready for me, I got a text to confirm once it was placed as well as when it was ready for pickup. They loaded it into the back of my SUV as well which is absolutely fabulous and helpful. I will definitely return again to this Lowe's, and remember next time how easy the online order and curbside pickup is, if I know in advance what I need. read more

I have always paid my balance on time and when I went to check my account it showed I was over due. I check monthly, not sure how that works. I am now on the hook for $90 for an apparent $30 balance. We came to find something for a project and we were in and out. The staff member helped us find what we need. It seems they only have self checkouts now which seems so odd for the large items people tend to purchase from here. I've also been followed around the store by multiple employees when I showed up 20 minutes to closing time and I spent a whole 5 minutes grabbing my materials I needed. I made a trip to Lowe's today to get some Valspar paint. I just purchased a home and the contractor left the paint cans used in the house. I found some trim sections and a door that I want to paint to match everything else in the house. I turned into Lowe's today around 2:30pm and wow was the store full of customers. I was able to get in, grab a cart and head over to the paint department to search out for what I needed. While looking around, I had two different employees ask me if I needed help with anything. I found the paint I needed and they had plenty in stock! I ended up grabbing some roller refills and I was able to snag two paint stirrers. I decided to use the self checker to scan my few items and it was very easy. There was a female employee standing there making sure everyone's transactions ran smooth. I was about to complete my transaction when I asked the lady if it's possible to use my husbands military discount? She said absolutely and came over, scanned her name tag and asked for the phone number. It was easy and I saved a whole $6.18!!! The employee was super nice and got me on my way in no time. I had a great shopping experience today and will definitely be back in the future! I have a new house now so I will be needing to pick out colors for rooms very soon . read more

Lowe's prices are not as reasonable as some hardware stores but they do have a lot of merchandise to choose from. It was a few minutes after 6 when I arrived, and the garden center gate was already closed. All I needed was plants, and some were located outside and some inside the gate. Being very tired from the day, this caused a big inconvenience! I have never seen this happen at a Lowes before. I did walk through the store and gathered the plants within the gate I needed, but left without the ones outside. That means another trip to the store later. Also, it added an unnecessary trip through the store. One of the reasons I shop for plants at Lowes is the convenience of the garden center. I guess I'll be finding another place that suits my needs better. The plants were in great shape, and there was a good selection. There was also a large clearance section if you have a green thumb and can rescue plants. (Actually, they weren't in bad shape, just didn't look the prettiest.). I was fired up to buy some plants. Ready to blow a wod on some tropical plants that 100% didn't need but 100% wanted for the new house. I literally stopped at FOUR hardware stores before finding one (this one) that had a decent plant section that was worthing stopping in for. Someone needs to tell Lowe's, Home Depot, etc. that indoor plants are trendy right now... In my father's words, I was pretending to be a "ten cent millionaire" for the afternoon and ended up purchasing six new indoor plants - - I'm looking at them right now and they're quite lovely one month after the purchase. This particular location offers a large variety and a decent sized indoor plant clearance rack (this is where you'll typically find me going nuts). My only complaint would be that the fellas in the plant section were not super helpful or present. Also...there was a cat that appeared to live (and shit) in the greenhouse. I had Lowes send someone out to my rental property to measure the flooring and I went back 3 times to get a copy of the bid. they never were able to give a copy and only gave me the total cost. I asked to have the bid emailed to me so I could discuss it with my wife they told me twice they would send it out. I never got it and went back into the store today to request it again and they said they had no record of my account and couldn't help me. this was the 3rd time i went in in person and the man at the counter acted like he couldn't care less! read more

It's always been a little hit or miss going to this Lowe's. I think staffing is always a problem here--way too few employees for the peak times and way too many employees for the slower times. Some employees are super knowledgeable and friendly, some not so helpful or friendly. We ordered our new flooring here and got a call the day before saying there was no way the shipment would be there on time, then got a call a few minutes later that everything was fine. So I can't safely say you'll have a great experience here, but I can't confirm you'll have a bad one either. Good luck! read more

I had a delivery issue with my refrigerator x3. Yes, I was more than frustrated. However, after speaking with the manager of that department, once involved, he was on top of it and diligent in his follow through calling to make sure everything was satisfactory. He went above and beyond in taking care of this problem. I appreciate his helpful attitude and speedy actions. A horrid experience when it came to customer service, installation, and follow through with the product services. The installation technician refused to install our dishwasher because of a "plumbing problem" that he claimed was not his responsibility. However, when we followed up with Lowe's and an independent plumbing service, they both indicated that it was a situation that could have been solved by that installation technician. The employee simply refused to do his job. He proceeded to sit in his truck down the street for quite some time. We believe it was to fake his way through the "time" of the installation process. When we went into Lowe's later in the day to address the problem, all of the managers were occupied (we were told they were in meetings and interviewing candidates for positions). We waited for over 45 minutes to only speak to employees that could not help us with our situation. That being said, the employees we did talk to were sympathetic to our situation. It was clear the strategy by the managers was to be too busy to help customers who were unsatisfied by their products and services. read more

Guys, I hate to give bad reviews, BUT, in this crazy COVID time I just have to share some thoughts. I know it was not essential for me to go to Lowe's today. So I ordered online with the intention of doing curbside pick up, as they had advertised. I pulled up, parked in the designated area, and called. And called. With no answer for 5 minutes, phone ringing off the hook. So I decided to go inside thinking it would take 5 minutes, they said my order was ready and it was only a small pick-up (again, non-essential, I know, I really regret going). I went to customer service and was completely blown away by the number of people in the store. IT WAS INSANE. More people than I have EVER seen in Lowe's. Then in order to be acknowledged by the people behind the counter I had to politely initiate my transaction. The worker who helped me seemed to have very minimal training as she didn't understand where the computer was telling her that my order was stored at. After 10 minutes the manager finally came over and told her my pick up was literally right behind the checkout counter. Then my entire order was not ready and it took another 20 minutes to get it together. Leaving me time to become very anxious about customers and staff VERY MUCH NOT keeping their 6 feet distance from each other and myself. Overall I DO NOT recommend visiting Lowe's at this time. They are not taking this pandemic seriously and I definitely learned my lesson to discontinue making non-essential trips. read more

By far the worst customer service experience of my life. Bought a washer/dryer set that I measured to make sure would fit our laundry room. Trip 1) delivery group walked to the room, said it wouldn't fit and left. Trip 2) after calling and telling them it will fit, another group came and were able to install it. However, the dryer was broken. Trip 3) new group replaced the dryer, but did not test the washer and dryer before they left. After hours of attempting to move the unit, I was able to find out the workers did not turn the water valve back on. The workers also told us that the second group broke our stacking kit and we would have to go back to lowe's ourselves if we wanted one. Trip 4) after calling about stacking kit issue, a worker delivered the stacking kit and told us he "didn't have time to install it" Trip 5) Another group finally were able to come and install the stacking kit. I forced them to stay until I personally tested the washer/dryer as they did not agree re installation. Never again will I deal with Lowe's. Wasted an entire week of PTO to ensure that I would be home for the workers to do their job. By far the most incompetent, lazy people I have ever dealt with. read more

I was in need of moving lots of mulch & river rock today! It's a tedious process but I needed 25 bags of mulch and 20 bags of river rock. Michael working in the outdoor section was the most helpful employee I've ever encountered at Lowes. Right away he walked up and asked how many bags we needed of mulch and started help loading our carts. Then when we came back for the river rock, he greeted us again for coming back and helped us with river rock. He took our carts and said he'd get someone to help with a forklift to make the loading process even easier. He even helped load everything in the car. I purchased a stove and dishwasher on 1/28 as of 2/21 I've not received my dishwasher but received my stove. I've called every week (twice weekly) to confirm the status on the dishwasher. Their deliveries come on Monday and a Wednesday of each week. The first three times I called the associate said the item hadn't come in but assumed it would come on the next delivery and would call me to confirm either way. The last two associates said the item was there and said that they would call me back to get it scheduled. I spoke to the assistant manager today and he first said it was there. Then he said it wasn't, then he said the installer must have picked it up and then said it may be on the next run which will be Wednesday. The assistant manager said he would call me if it was or wasn't on that delivery. I did tell him that I didn't have confidence that ai would receive a call back. The assistant manager was rude and didn't have a clue of what was going on. He also never took the time to listen to my issue, but rather kept cutting me off with a sharp tone. I addressed the assistant manager to allow me to talk and he said "have a good day and hung up on me" I will speak to the store manager tomorrow and will provide a follow up on another Yelp review to the resolution. Customer Service and being on top of customer products seems to be their down fall from their other reviews. Watch out for the assistant store manager. read more

I brought a riding mower at Lowes on Olympia off Martin Way Washington State. Paid and delivery for June 10th. Called at 130pm for Status Lowes said on flat bed for delivery. 8pm called store per store said mower was damaged. Called again said it was cancelled? Notice my order process could not view 2 days prior. Lowes said will send out upgrade for troubles on Monday. There is no order, no receipt promised, no call back. Still waiting. Already got my bill statement and sent out my first payment on a mower I have not received. I'm so frustrated. read more

Despite spending a considerable amount of money here every year since 2008, I'm seriously starting to consider Menards as an alternative. I've been at the store this evening for over an hour, can barely get help with anything (i.e., the products I need that are out of reach), and just spent over 20 minutes in line to check out. I'm updating my review because I went back again to buy a deadbolt. The cashier started putting it in a plastic bag without asking me if I wanted one and when I told her it was unnecessary, she threw the clean, unused bag away. I asked what she was doing and she said she had to. I ended up taking the bag so I could at least recycle it. I'm a 1st time customer that placed an online order May 4, 2020 for washer and dryer. Washer order was fulfilled on May 7, 2020. Dryer was suppose to be delivered on May 13, 2020 between 8:00 am and 8:00pm. I checked delivery status early part of day which said it was still scheduled to be delivered. At approximately 7:41pm I called the store to learn the dryer is sitting still in store and the store clerk and store manager Jermey Lopez has no reasoning why I have no dryer and received no phone call. I adjusted work schedule and others people schedule to accommodate delivery to be told No compensation/credit for inconvenience and POOR customer Service. The Store Manager seem to not care the financial inconvenience of my time and additional monies out of pocket to accommodate short notice delivery change. I have been waiting on a dryer since I place order on May 4th. And Washer delivered on May 7, 2020. Your service is horrible no delivery, no phone call, no explanation and treated like crap because your employee failed to deliver product or in the least make a call. NEVER will I recommend doing any form of business when the only communication is taking your money and all other communication null and void! I want this order cancelled and you can come get washer! I can see why the ratings on this location are so low. I normally go to Home Depot, but Lowe's carried Char-Broil grills which got a slight better rating online than Nexgrill, so I went to buy a particular model that Lowe's carried. I paid for the grill, a propane tank and a grill cover and had the cashier call for someone to unlock the grill and help me out. The person who showed up was a Head Cashier. I understand that past 5-6pm these stores don't have as much hours allocated so it's fine that someone who isn't in the department comes to help me out. The grill didn't fit into my car which is fine, but the person who was sent to help me offered no solutions and just stood there basically waiting for me to dismiss her and accept the fact that there was nothing that could be done. I asked her if the shelf could be taken off and she just shrugged and suggested that I could go home and get my tools to remove the shelf. I asked her if she had a tape measurer. She said no and didn't offer to go get one. I know these stores have tons of them around. Basically, I quickly realized she had no desire to offer any solutions that involved extra work for her. It was all on me. So, I said screw and went to Home Depot and got the Nexgrill. John at Home Depot gladly took the shelf off and the grill easily fit in my rav4. Having worked in retail for a long time I knew that the Lowe's employee was just going to waste my time so I got my refund and got the heck out of there. I regret wasting my time. read more

After 20 years it was time for new carpet and I was researching the best carpet to have for pet owners. Lowes had the recommended item so I started the process to purchase the carpet by first going into this store. Julie was in the flooring department and directed me to the isle the carpet I was looking for was in. She did tell me it could be a month long process to installation. So, we started by scheduling the measurement process which fortunately was the following Monday. However, when I left the store I still felt like I really didn't get all the information about the choices of carpet and pad. A few days later after the measurement I got a call/message (the only one by the way) from Julie that the estimate was in. I went to the store the next day, and Mark was in flooring that day, very nice and helpful man. He showed me the estimate from the installer which I felt was a little more than I wanted to spend. Mark was very knowledgeable and I told him I was a little disappointed wth Julie's customer service and he said she's learning. With his knowledge though and me telling him what I was looking for we got the price down. I did see where I was being charged $45 to move a recliner, but Mark said it was taken that off, yet when I got home it still showed on the paperwork. The paperwork is also kind of misleading, it really doesn't break down the cost, which by the way, I was under the it was free installation. Anyway, that was Oct. 6th, so here's my main issue, being excited about new carpet and wanting to clear the rooms of which I needed help, I called and spoke to Julie, trying to get a possible timeline to move furniture. She indicated it looked like the order was in route to the installer, and I should hear from them soon. I waited a few days and called the store again and spoke to Mark, he looked it up and said it was picked up on October 25th and delivered. I told him I don't have it. He said to stay calm and he would check it out and give me call back. No call! I called the next day and got Julie who basically wasn't saying anything different but told me I could just call the installer and she gave me the number. (In the meantime I had already received the credit card bill with payment due Nov 4th.) While I appreciate the phone number from Julie, I didn't think it was my responsibility to call the installer to find out where the carpet was. So, I called the store manager Adam, he listened to my concerns, however, he did squeeze out the fact that I just buy the carpet there, and then it's up to the installers. I don't see it that way but none the less he took my phone number and said he'd check it out and call me back. I felt for sure he would follow up, but NO CALL! Needless to say, my anxiety is maxed at this point.. So, 2 days later I call the installer phone number I was given. I beleive it was Crystal who was very freindly, and indicated they haven't received the carpet yet, she said it's due to come in on a truck tomorrow Nov 6th but that they can't guarantee it will be on the truck, so they can't set up a delivery date. They will give me a call (not having luck with that) when or now I'm thinking if it comes in. As of noon today Nov 10th still no carpet or explanation for the delay. UPDATE: I called installer 2 days ago, on hold, till it told me to leave message. I did, of course, no call back. Today i was looking up my transaction online, which says it was completed! Wait, what!! So, I called store wanting district manager number, talked to Asst. Manager Brian, he to seemed concern, and gave me customer service number, but said he would investigate and call back. Hallelujah, I got a call back from JULIE, my first person in the carpet fiasco, and she turns out to be my hero! She called and found out that the carpet did come in, but was damaged, so it had to be remade. However, nobody communicated it well in the system. So, carpet is due late November. Finally i received answers and apologizes! Thank you Julie! So, I'm happier now! That's my story, I'm sticking to it! read more

Went in today with an end result in mind but no supply list or real plan of execution. I found a guy busily working in lawn and garden and am so mad that I didn't get his name before I left because he is fabulous! I told him that I wanted to make a set of pet water dishes that were surrounded by easily cared for live plants. Our dogs are very messy and we want to catch as much water as possible before it meets the new hardwood flooring. He excitedly told me he already had some ideas and started to show my plants on the computer that he thought would fit my needs best and of those, which ones that he had in stock. They were all really pretty! I had already selected ceramic pots that I liked and base dishes to go under them. I found come cool casters too, to make moving them around simple, in and out of the sunlight and for cleaning. He made sure to ask what surface I was going to have them on and suggested a cork liner if I didn't want to add height with the caster which was a concern at the time. Ended up buying 2 of each of the casters, tray pots and ceramic vessels plus 7 plants for each of them with a potting soil that the gentleman suggested for both plant health and easy of indoor keeping and cleaning. Unfortunately, I had to run to pet supply store to get bowls for them because Lowes doesn't have a pet section... but other than that it was a job completely selected from this location's merchandise and I love them! read more

In my experience, they generally come from another department and cannot help anyway. Lowes is just OK if you know exactly what you need and where to find it. This is my go to location for any home improvement needs. This location has a friendly and helpful staff, well organized, and pretty much anything that I've ever needed. The only thing I don't like about this location is the bathroom. They smell and seem quite neglected. The prices are food and the selection is pretty decent. I was on my way to the movies, but had a few extra minutes before it started. I needed water softener salt, so I decided to stop at this LOWE'S. I walked around the store for awhile, but I could not find the salt. I stopped a male worker and asked him where the salt was and he told me up by the front door. When I got to the register, I told the cashier that I needed 5 bags. She rang me up and gave me a receipt. I asked her where the flatbeds were, and she told me in the back somewhere. The bags are easier to lift off the flatbed, than a cart, but since she could not direct me to the flatbeds, I just grabbed a regular cart. I got the cart and walked over to the salt. I stood there lifting the bags of salt into my cart, and fumbled to keep the cart in one place. As I looked up, there were literally 6 employees, including 2 men, standing around the registers talking and watching me trying to load this salt. I am a tough 52 year old woman, but this is the worst service I think I have ever received. No one there was helpful whatsoever, except for the worker who told me where the salt was. I will not visit this store again. I will try Menards or Walmart next time. Cannot be any worse than this. read more

Get your appliances somewhere else! I purchased four new appliances for my home, the first three got installed in relatively easy, although telling me it could be up to 96 hours before they contacted to set up the install seemed to me was a little extreme. I had to call the installation number when the installer who was supposed to measure for our new dishwasher didn't show up. I then had to make three calls to the installation team, being put on hold for a half hour each! I finally got short with the employee and was able to get it scheduled. I have my doubts this will happen without me having to call them back the day of. I have never had good experiences with Lowe's but this one is the worst. When I called the store to complain I was told that had nothing to do with them! I called their customer service number only to be told to call the installation number, really? This didn't solve anything by sending me back to them, they were the problem in the first place! read more
