Best one-stop home improvement store on Maui. Lowe's new location is huge, convenient, and has ample parking with easy access. There is a huge variety of products, everything from tools and appliances to window coverings and fresh flowers. This is my go-to spot for fresh orchids, herbs, succulents and other plants. I find that customer service, store layout, and product selection and availability are better here than at other home improvement stores. The new store also has a large outside drive-through pickup area. I use the phone app to navigate the store. It helps to tell me what products are available in-store and where they are located. read more

Went here with my soon who recently relocated to Napili. He had sold his old grill on the mainland several months ago and had been searching without luck for a good used one. My daughter-in-law found that Lowe's was having a great sale on Weber gas grills. We made the 45 minute trip and I was surprised at the savings! The same grill in southern Calif. Is selling for over $900 and his price was only $449. On to the store, the reason for the review. It was very clean and organized according to all other Lowe's. It is set up exactly like a store local to me. The staff was quite helpful. We were considering a unit that had been put together on display. Would it fit in his Toyota Sequoia? We needed a tape measure to be sure but did not have one. One of the sales associates readily loaned me a tape to take outside. Chances of that happening on the mainland are about nil. I suppose it is just the Maui lifestyle. Yes, I returned the tape to Rose. We had to take an unassembled one and two more sales associates put it on the cart and took it through the checkout for us and helped us cram it in the back of the SUV. read more

Had a terrible experience here the past 2 days. 5 different workers didn't help me locate anything I needed. Just pointed their finger. Only one worker actually walked with me to find what I was looking for. SHEENA is that amazing worker. She went above and beyond. Because of her I'll continue to shop at Lowe's. Other workers lied to me about product and it made me have to come back 2 days In a row. SHEENA walked for another department and climbed ladders to help get what I was looking for. I will never step foot in this, nor any other Lowe's again. After purchasing a $3000 Husqavarna riding lawn mower in December of 2016, and discovering a design flaw in which the transmission belt rubs up against a piece of metal (causing it to wear down quickly) was basically told 'tough luck' by an ill advised 'manager,' JUSTIN. No offer to help in any way, shape, or form. Never mind that the Lowe's website advises that this particular tractor has a three year warranty through the manufacturer, although my year warranty through the store has just recently expired, within the month. When I called corporate offices, I was told "no he didn't" when I told them what the manager had said. The lady on the phone tried to back pedal, but I hung up regardless. Totally unacceptable. The next phone call I make will be to the BBB. BUYER BEWARE. Lowe's does NOT STOCK belts, filters, or any other parts to these mowers that they sell, and WILL NOT order parts for clientele. Any one in Hawaii knows how difficult it is to have parts sent from the mainland. In other words, it is impossible. One would have to ask how it would be possible for these tractors to be serviced at Lowe's, as per the guarantee through the warranty, should the occasion arise, since they don't stock the parts, and will not pick up or service the tractors at a home address. This place is absolute garbage. NO ONE EVER ANSWERS THE PHONE! My delivery window was 12 HOURS, which says to your customers, "your time doesn't matter." They never showed up, I sat on hold over 20 minutes because the department was closed for the day but they can't bother to put that on the recording. I've called six different extensions to get a person on the phone who has no answers because it's "not her department." In the age of communication, every man, woman, child, rich or poor, has a cellphone and could give an accurate window of time for their client to let them know they're not coming. Do you ever notice how busy Home Depot is and how empty Lowes always is? There are many reasons for this, the biggest of which are: higher prices, unfriendly and disrespectful staff, and lack of knowledge from the employees. I was really hoping when they moved locations that they would also correct the issues that they've always had, but it's the same Lowe's as it's always been. The "free" delivery of my lawnmower was never made. I had to buy a hitch and get a trailer to self deliver. My son had to literally drive into the staging area with our truck and trailer. They loaded the mower forward and directions in the manual say to back it on the trailer. We had a hard time getting it off. They said they would refund $100 but then didn't because delivery was "free". It wasn't free. It took my time and money. The same riding lawnmower cost less at Home Depot but I foolishly paid more at Lowes because Lowes promised "free" delivery. They then said they didn't have the trailer to deliver it?! Really? They sell trailers! The one I used had a Lowes logo on the fender! They said to come back in for a $100 refund . I Made a separate trip in and a mysterious hidden manager sent a messenger to tell me no refund. and To top it off the store managers refused to talk with me. They sent front line cashiers to deliver messages. Managers Wouldn't take phone calls either. Who's overseeing these "managers'" being paid for doing nothing? read more

I have shopped at the NEW LOWES 5X and not once have I ever made it up to see what the check stands look like. STOCK: They have absolutely nothing in Stock. They have nice displays, but stock none of what they display. Associates say sorry. They give you no attention to help you order it. They just tell you that it will take 30 - 40 days to get it in on the slow boat from China... EMPLOYEES: Employees are INCREDIBLY RUDE (I have never been treated worse by any employee in any store ever) and they have no idea about anything in they're department. That's if you are lucky enough, or rather unlucky enough to find any help. Last time I asked an employee where I could find a cabinet hinge it was wither 5 feet from where she was standing, but sent me on a wild goose chase 7 iles away. Then when I finally found them 10 minutes later exactly where I started they were out, or didn't stock this very common item yet. You are so better served just making your way to Ace Hardware or Home Depot. I have no clue what this store is thinking but it stinks big time. Don't waste your time ever going here. I really appreciate the Veterans parking spaces at this Lowe's location and their military discount. Customer service is hit or miss. I have met some really great and engaging staff members and others who were completely unhelpful. I have had issues on getting them to update my address in their system for a few years now and I get mailers sent to my work address. When getting appliances, I recommend getting the extended warranty. Companies don't make things like they used to and their "planned obsolescence" means things break frequently. Had to use Lowe's warranty multiple times. Not their fault that manufacturers are making universally substandard products. read more

I have great luck at Lowe's in Maui with certain staff and if I have an issue with any staff I go straight to the department manager or even the general manager of the store and they always take good care of me and fix any issues I am having. We all know it is difficult to find good help in Maui but Lowe's is making a better effort at providing quality service than any other similar stores in Maui. I applaud the general manager for running a tight ship and being available to help me when in need. read more

I hate this place. This is the worst place ever. The customer service is the worst. If I can give this place no Stars I really would! We came to buy a stove and they told us to pick it up from the pick up section. So we did. The line was horribly long. About 30-45 minutes later it was finally our turn, then she said we'll be right with you. We waited another 15 minutes until I started to snap at her. I was so upset that I went to the back where they had all the wood and other things , I asked for help over there and they got our stove for us right away and my husband had to help them carry it to our truck. This was probably after an hour of waiting. I see the girl outside with our stove. I just ignored here because she had the worst attitude ever. Then a month later I get a call from Lowe's saying I have to come pick up my stove. Then another 2 weeks later saying I have to up my stove. I just ignored them. I was at Lowe's to figure out how to build a long floating shelf for my son. I am not super handy but was excited for the small project. As I ventured through the store, and found the shelving we wanted, I began to realize there were so many questions I had... What size brackets do I need? What screws? Do I need different screws for the wood and the wall? Do I need fasteners? How does a stud finder work? Etc... I'm an amateur. So Kapena nd and Kui were SO helpful and both went above and beyond in helping me figure out every detail. Kapena stayed with me throughout entire visit. He made sure I found everything and got me to Kui for the questions about screws and stud finders. They were so courteous and patient. I will continue to come to Lowe's for the excellent service!!!! Delivery guys, Jeff and Edsy delivered our new samsung refridge and i have to say these 2 were friendly, courteous and professional. They took everything out of the box and attached all fittings and external handles n stuff and explained the use of all items better than our original sales person. Went into Kahului Lowe's Sunday 3/24 about 5PM intending to purchase a new Maytag Washer and Dryer, as well as several other items. This would have been a $2,000 sale. I waited in the Appliance Department for about 15 minutes waiting for an employee to appear to no avail. I then asked another employee who was walking by if he could find someone to help. He said he would page someone and then walked away. No one came, so I left without making my intended purchase and drove the 28 miles back to my home. I really am ready to buy so when I got home, I called the store and my call was dropped 3 times when I pushed #4 for the Appliance Department. On my 4th call, I selected "0" and got the operator who transferred me to the Appliance Department. The man who answered said he was busy with a customer, but would call me back in 15-20 minutes. I told him I was interested in purchasing a Maytag Washer and Dryer in Gray color. I received no call back. Nothing! As a small business retailer for 44 years, I understand what is good and what is poor customer service. This was extremely poor service. I will try a smaller retailer that places a higher value in serving their customers! read more

The new Lowe's location is awesome! They finally have their own lot and is located across of Target. It is also most definitely bigger than the old at the Maui Marketplace. When you first enter the store, there are 3 sets of doors... Product pick up is to your left, Returns is the middle set of doors, and of course you have the Main Entrance straight ahead. The carts are located next to the main entrance door, which is very convenient to remember to grab one before stepping in. The customer service desk is on the left as soon as you enter & may I say that those employees are very knowledgeable about product location. They also process cc payments and sales very quickly and efficiently. Customer service also takes care of product pickups from orders that were done in their store and on Lowes.com. Speaking of Lowes.com orders, the ladies are very quick to inform you if your order is ready for pick up or if your order will take 6-8 weeks. They do update you with the status of your special orders, which I greatly appreciate. On their selling floor, they have great selections of items and hey, if they don't have what you're looking for, you could ask them when it's coming in. The associates are also knowledgeable about product locations and are very helpful and friendly. If they don't know the answer to your question, they find someone who does. The cashiers are great as well! They are the ones who finalizes your visit & always has a smile on their face! I appreciate their greetings as soon as I come up to their counter and when I leave. Overall, the new Lowe's is very nice and clean. The Lowe's associates are knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend this hardware store to my family and friends. read more

I called Lowe's today to see if they had a particular Valspar item. The phone system is automated and I selected the paint department. The phone rang and rang and after 3 minutes I hung up. I called back and the same thing happened, after 3 more minutes of no one answering the phone I hung up again. I waited a few minutes and called back again this time I chose to pick a number, someone in Lumber picked up and I said I was trying to get the paint department, he said to hold on and then I got disconnected. I called back again and got to customer service and asked to speak to the manager. When she picked up I told her what happened and I asked for her name, she became silent and didn't say any thing so I asked again and I think she said Merideth but she wasn't clear and kind of mumbled. Anyways I wanted this Valspar item and Lowe's is the only place to get it. Peter in the paint department was very nice and helpful. And when we got to the registers not one cashier was open, all of them were closed. Unbelievable! I ended up not getting the Valspar item but got some soil, went through the self check out and left Lowe's. Terrible visit to Lowe's today. read more

I am pleased to report that Lowe's has a great paint Dept. If you have had bad experience at paint specialty store as I had at Sherwin-Williams Paint store in kahalui, Maui this week, then take your business to Lowes. I have found much better service and better deals on cost on two 5 gallon cans of paint, (which was one of the purchased I had planned to make at Sherwin-Williams in Kahalui Maui before I treated so badly and my quart size of paint was totally ruined by the woman at this location of Sherwin Williams.) At Lowe's Kahalui Maui I was able to purchase the 5 gallon paint, mixed at the tan color exactly as I requested! The price was well under $200 per 5 gallon can, which was at a tremendous savings over two paint specialty' stores I went visited this week. The woman at Lowe's was very informative, she answered all my questions. And best of all she does don't try to pull a fast one over on me like I experienced at Sherwin Williams! read more

It took 2 hours on phone with Lowe's being transferred to different departments, waiting and waiting on hold to finally get James from the pro desk on the phone.
