So I go to Lowe's a lot, almost daily. What I've noticed here is the place always seems dusty or something. I don't know how to explain it, but the one close to my house is much cleaner. Yeah yeah I know it's a hardware store. But that's not what bugs me, every now and then I ask for help in finding something. Like a straight edge clamp guide for a circular saw. Meet the new Walmart. Lowe's never has enough staff and the people who work there will do just about anything to get out of helping you. I know writing this review won't cause Lowe's to hire any employees or change their attitudes, but I want other customers to understand what it's like to be there. There was a line of about 12-15 people outside waiting to check out in the garden center and with only one cashier. Worked with project team for fence installation - workmanship was AMAZING! This is the only reason for a 2, otherwise I would rate 1. Appointment/schedule out of San Antone was HORRIBLE and did not effectively communicate when project would start - I kept getting discrepancies with information provided on timeline which made it difficult to coordinate with my neighbors - 3 in total. I had to go back to store twice for materials that the project manager either failed to include or was missed during count this caused delay and project being finished. Lack of communication and expectation setting was very unfortunate and caused for a frustrating project experience. Though, Workmanship was great! read more

What happened to Lowes? It took six weeks for for our microwave to arrive. I did not get a call when it was first "postponed" and I did not get a call when it did arrive. Somebody dropped the ball. When I told my woes to the pickup desk the lady said, "I do hear it." Encouraging. We always shopped Lowes first in the past but Home Depot is about the same distance for us. I went in to this lowe's to buy some Sheetrock and to my surprise there weren't any flat carts available after walking around for 5 minutes wondering where they would be I finally decided to ask one of the employees there and she said they might be right outside so I went outside thinking they would be right outside but no they were actually scared all over the parking lots, I noticed they were all bunched up in the actual parking spots and there must have been 50 of those things out there so if you go to this store be prepared to do what I had to do..very disappointed and I'm sure other customers will be too. read more

My Wife and I were in the Leander Lowes on Saturday last shopping for appliances. Since this is no small expenditure, we thought that it would not be a problem getting someone to wait on us, as we had numerous questions. WRONG!!! While we looked at refrigerators, stoves microwaves and dishwashers, we noticed another couple looking as well. We also noticed two employees behind the desk not ten feet away, not waiting on anyone and not on the phone. They were simply talking to each other. We decided that if Lowes was not interested in the ten thousand dollars we were ready to part with, we would simply go elsewhere. As we were leaving we overheard the other couple saying the same thing. That afternoon we went to Home Depot were waited on promptly and knowledgably and the appliances were delivered in 2 days. Bought a light fixture and got it all hung. Went to put lightbulbs in and 2 of the 9 lightbulbs were broken. Took the 2 lightbulbs and box back to store. Out of stock. Larry was super rude and suggested I drive around to the other stores to find the lightbulbs. Manager was nicer when she told me to drive to another location, buy a new light, switch out the bulbs and then return it. So frustrating!! read more

Everyone at this location is very polite and helpful, especially the gardening staff. Their employees go out of their way to help me find items any time I need assistance. I have never had any issue with a return even if it is a plant that died which was purchased months earlier. The only real issue is the online app will say they have items in stock which are no where to be found in the store. I was told by an employee that this happens quite often, even when people have paid and are expecting in store pick up. It would be great if they did emailed receipts like Home Depot does, makes it nice and easy to always know where your receipts are. read more

Customer service at installation department is an absolute joke! Bought a dishwasher 2 weeks ago. Lowe's sent a "specialist" to install it. The guy was not even able to turn the water off, complained that the valve is faulty and left. My husband turned the water off within 30 seconds after coming back from work. Went back to Lowe's to talk about a second attempt in installation on Saturday. They promised to phone some other installation service om Monday and send someone right away. It is Tuesday today and nobody ever called or sent any installation person. read more

So totally frustrated with Lowe's! After a month of research, we bought a dishwasher 6/1. We have been without a dishwasher since late April .... washing dishes by hand. (yah, I know, FWP) We currently have a bucket and a copper tube where our dishwasher should be. Dishwasher was to be delivered last Saturday. They attempted to deliver a different brand, that was $250 cheaper than what we purchased. After a week of follow up (only on my part, they say they'll call and never do), the best date they can give for delivery is 7/27. And he's not apologetic in the least!!! So, I try to find this same dishwasher available anywhere else and they can all deliver 6/25, but at a much higher cost ... because we bought on sale. So so so so so so totally annoyed by Lowe's. I received a return call from Lowe's. They want to sell us the lesser quality Samsung, "it's considerably cheaper", he says. Well, that is a concern, as we researched and purchased a better quality machine. In a situation like this, they should really offer comparable or better ... not lesser quality. Received a call from Monica (I think she is Dan's boss (the appliance manager)), she started off on a bad foot, by being immediately curt and rude. She asked me for the arrival date I had been quoted, so I provided her with all three (7/21, 7/22, and 7/27). She said that she just spoke with LG (sounds familiar, same thing Dan said), and that it was shipping today to our distribution center in TX and would arrive three 6/28. It would then take an additional 5-7 days (hopefully 7/5) to get to our TX store. I explained that I could not hold my breath for that, as I've been told 4 dates from 3 people. She then pretty much called her employee Dan a liar, by saying that they can't talk to Manufacturers on the weekend (Dan said that he talked to LG on Saturday). I'll supposedly hear "something" from her on Friday. I certainly hope it's the truth and not another bunch of smoke. This has been huge inconvenience. And ... they don't seem to care about the inconvenience. Or that they've had my money 3 weeks without my having product. I swear, I've hardly heard an apology. And, I've been SO kind and patient on the phone, so that I can get an answer that works for me and my family. read more

I ordered a screen door on line from Lowe's. When I received the notice that it had arrived, I went to pick it up. What a nightmare! I had the information (day of order, credit card used, item, SKW, manufacturer, item my identity and full address and phone number, etc.) The only thing I did not have was the order number. I was told there was no way they could help me without the order #, that was the ONLY WAY THEY COULD SEARCH FOR IT. I was livid. Home Depot and other establishments can identify a purchase many multiple ways. I like Lowe's, however, I will never order on-line from them again. Worst customer service I've ever experienced! Not by one employee but 3! Including the employee at "customer service" (that term is used VERY loosely!). We asked an employee in home decor for help with blinds. He acted like he'd never heard of the product we were looking for, quickly pointed us to 3 things that didn't come close to meeting our description or needs, and then said he'd be back to help us. He never came back. When we rounded the corner he was helping other customers and acted like he'd never seen us. We asked two other employees for help and they said they were "busy" but didn't appear to be doing anything. We finally found what we were looking for tucked behind a trash can in the corner of the department with no help from anyone else. Then we found an item we wanted but there was only one left and we needed two. We went to "customer service" to ask if any other Lowe's had them and could possibly ship it to us. We were told "if that's all that was on the shelf then that's all that we have". Ok, can you call another store or check you system for more? "No, but I can give you the phone number and you can". Really?! I'm pretty sure that device on the counter is called a telephone and her finger seemed to work just fine, but I guess helping customers is not in her job description! Finally, check out. This employee made me empty every item in my cart. Including large items and multiples of small items. She "had to scan each individual item" rather than scanning one item several times. She them made me put everything in a separate cart as she scanned them and didn't bag a single item. I had to bag it all myself. This was NOT a self checkout lane! AND I had my 5 month old daughter in my arms the whole time. So, I did all of this one handed while she sat there and watched. NEVER RETURNING! And suggest no one else does either. read more

I come to this Lowe's occasionally because it's not too far from me and not all Lowe's stores carry the same stock. It has a good variety and is about average for a home improvement store. As far as customer service goes, this store is a little below average. The staff here just generally don't care too much to help customers. My first visit here I was returning a large item that was actually purchased on clearance through another Lowe's store. I chose to return it here because not only was the item large and I chose this store out of convenience, but also I wanted to check out what this store had in stock similar to the item I was returning. The customer service representative tried scanning the item a couple of times before informing me that they cannot take items sold on clearance from other Lowe's stores. I understand this is not their fault and they cannot view clearance transactions from other Lowe's stores. I just didn't realize there was so much disconnect between franchises, but now I am aware. It was just such a hassle lugging this large item across town to be able to return it where it was originally purchased. But now that I know, I am able to plan and shop accordingly. My latest visit, I was trying to purchase an item that was being discontinued in the stores. I spoke with multiple staff here who confirmed that this item was indeed in stock, but each one directed me to a completely different area of the store to find the item. Finally, I was able to speak to someone who just happened to recognize the item when he had walked by it sitting on a random shelf in a far corner in the back of the store. In all, the whole ordeal took us about 45 minutes. This Lowe's could really benefit from a better method of organizing merchandise!! Went to the pro desk to get a sheet of hardy board cut in half. They said they couldn't do it even though the website lists this as a service offered. Asked to speak to a manager. He said they couldn't do it because they didn't have a blade for their saw that would cut it. Um, isn't this a hardware store that sells saw blades? Guess I'll go to Home Depot next time. I recently purchased three appliances from the store. The man in the appliance quoted me the wrong rebate. So when I talked to this same person and then their customer service, they were rude and didn't care about my concern. The appliance delivery continues to be rescheduled by the store. The last change was placing the delivery on a Friday, even when I repeatedly set it up for a Saturday. My future purchases with this store are non-existent. I encourage you to find an alternate business. This is the worst of Lowe's stores, in my opinion. read more

This is our closest home improvement store and I would love to be able to go here for our various projects, but the customer service and lack of inventory organization make this place impossible to shop. The staff is not helpful at all and they make it clear that they would rather not help or talk with you. Period. Thanks for nothing, but I'll spend my $$ elsewhere. The good thing they do offer is their participation in children's fairs and other events often held in the parking lot for special occasions. I'll give them a couple of stars for that, but if you need anything for your projects (or business) just make the drive to the other hardware/home improvement stores in neighboring cedar park. read more

This place is a joke! As a professional painter some times my customers request to use paint from Lowes I try to encourage otherwise. I came in today and all around the service was horrible. The first guy was incapable of even listening I had to confirm the colors with him 4 times. The second girl who took over struggled to get the color to be the right color. Now I know why this location has horrible ratings. I came to purchase a measurement wheel because I'm a landscape architect. I found one with a much smaller wheel than I was used to and was testing it out to see if the more portable one worked as well as the one I usually purchase. An employee walked by, heavier set brunette male in his 40s-50s, and told me to stop playing with the "toys" as he passed. I later passed by him and he made another comment about how I was here to play around. I was about 15-20 feet from him and I yelled "owning one of these is part of my job" and he laughed at me. Being a woman in a blue collar industry I encounter a lot of sexism but this is something that I can actually stop. Lowe's needs to have a company meeting to address the sexism that is plaguing their store. It was embarrassing to be treated like a child because I "looked out of place" to him. I should've walked out and went to Home Depot to purchase it but I was in a time crunch so I had to waste my money with this company. read more

Their Blue Hawk and Kobalt product lines are fine, and the employees are helpful. But the music over the PA is typically so horrible and loud that you can't focus on your shopping. I had planned to spend $300+ on a project, but the whiny, screeching, obnoxious "music" drove me out of the store after ten minutes. I offered to explain my complaint to the manager, but I was told the music selection is "controlled by the corporate office". On 03/29/2021 I went to the Leander Lowes to get a 5 gallon container of Zep degreaser, it is on isle 30. There was none on the floor in the designated space. I sought out an employee to bring a container down from the fourth shelf up which would require a ladder or lift. The 1st employee I found nearby informed that it wasn't his department but would get someone for me. I waited for about 5 minutes or so, nobody came so then went to customer service and asked them to page someone. She told me it would be a few minutes that the employee for that section was assisting someone in power equipment but would let her know, I heard the page go over the PA. I waited on isle 30 for another 10 minutes then went back to customer service and asked the same person to check on the status of assistance, she responded, "no one has helped you yet? I will page them again." Again heard the page go over the PA.I waited at isle 30 for another 10 minutes. Finally gave up, I found a ladder on wheels several isles away moved it to isle 30 went up to the 4th shelf and brought down the 5 gallon container. As I was coming down an employee walked by and looked at me and kept walking, break time I assume. End of story. read more

Went to this Lowes location nearest to my new home now in Leander to buy a lawn mower and edger. I was happily assisted by the sales rep BILLY, and he gave all his very knowledgeable feedback on reasons to purchase assorted other brands. He was awesome mostly by going that extra mile to assemble my lawn mower for me before also loading it in the back of my truck for me, with the assembly and loading help of Patrick, also a very helpful employee. There is nothing they won't do for you here. I like that. I was also asked by 2-3 employees to purchase the extended warranty for these items... and while I do appreciate what they are for, my protection, I get the feeling that most employees here work on bonuses for warranties and new Lowes Credit Cards, due to the aggressiveness and repeatedness . I see the reason for it, and I also appreciate and respect they are just doing their job. And today, they went well beyond for me. Thanks, Billy and Patrick. This place is so completely infested with mice. I had a hard time buying grass seed because the bags had been chewed open and were covered in droppings! As I moved the bags around looking for one that wasn't open, a mouse scurried out. Another customer commented that she too, had just seen one. We recently purchased carpet for our 4 bedrooms from Lowes. The first installed was not done properly by Floor Doctor installers and we had to go back and get with Lowes. I don't need to go thru all the details but Rodger at Lowes in Leander TX. and Ernie the manager at Floor Doctor really worked with us to solve our problems with the carpet by replacing the carpet and reinstalling it with the professionalism you expect. Installers did a great job and I would recommend them to anyone. Lowes and Floor masters stood by their product and work. read more

Can we go into NEGATIVE stars?! Lowes has apparently decided science doesn't exist and that corrosion inside pipes magically appears like the tooth fairy dropped it off. They are refusing to do anything about the issue. I have only asked for them to reimburse roughly $850.00 (cost of plumber, heater and install) despite the fact that we've been drinking, doing dishes, washing clothes and all sorts of other activities for 18 months with this disgusting water they caused by faulty installation. I asked for zero personal damages in an effort to make this easy and they apparently prefer it not easy! I contacted the executive team at corporate today. More details to come as they unfold; however, the experience I am having is very telling. I do not recommend shopping there and we will both be closing our accounts with Lowes no matter what.
