To be fair this store will fix your vacuum cleaner base on wants convenient to them. I really think they don't have a complete knowledge base of what to do or repair. They give you word salad or excuses by the time you pickup your vacuum cleaner. Do they really repair want you told them the problem or truly replace the part? I have my doubts because they don't remember want the problem was. They never wrote it, cannot show evidence of repair after inspecting the vacuum you found out is was not fix. I did not leave the store until its fix. It took a while, bit we fixed it. We think. For a nice consultation they provided me with a vacuum cleaner odor refresher. Thank you read more

I called with a question about my handheld Dyson on a day they were closed. I left a voicemail, she called me back. I didn't answer, so she texted me. She offered some suggestions (via back and forth text and pictures) to fix my issue and it worked. I searched for a vacuum repair shop after my trusted Hoover Tempo needed a new hose. It may be older, but it works great. Upon reading other reviews here, I thought I'd go see if they could help. I was greeted by Caleb, he immediately went to work to help me. I really enjoyed seeing the history of vacuum cleaners on display to see as it brought back "kirby" memories. I think vacuums are taken for granted; some people don't realize the importance of the vacuum until they don't have one, and when you have a good one, keep it and this little shop can help you do just that. Caleb was kind and I appreciated the fact that he is so knowledgeable. He gave me some great advice to guide me in the best way to repair my Hoover. Honest people. Cute shop. Brought in my vacuum on Wednesday and got it back on Thursday, fixed and as good as new! In all honesty my vacuum hasn't worked like this since I got it. First just as a side note: 1) change your filters 2) change your belts 3) dont use the powders as they mess up your vacuum cleaner I was helped by Marla who is a very caring and super nice person. Its a family owned business and you can see they honestly care and when you are knowledgeable about your businesses it shows! Super friendly, caring honest folks! If you think your vacuum isn't acting right, bring it in, minimum of $15 to diagnose and of you decide to fix, it goes toward repairs, if they can't fix it-you owe NOTHING! My repairs only cost $36 and it was worth it as I was just prepared to buy a new vacuum. But I gave it one last shot and glad I did, its a good vacuum and has a lot of years of cleaning left in it. :) read more

I thought this place was going to be my savior as I was only in town a week. It was sketch when I walked in the door to begin with. The place looks like the show Hoarders should intervene not a business... oh and it's a pack n mail also. Then I endured a lecture about how she "wished people wouldn't do that" when I brought in my Dyson for repair. I figured ya know the genius types are more likely to be messier and she said she could do it by Friday closing which is when I was leaving town so PERFECT... right? WRONG-O! I get a call.... FRIDAY no less thinking she's gonna tell me it's done. No, she says "Umm I'm sorry we just can't take it apart this model isn't meant to be taken apart but it runs." I said "Yes, I know it runs, I only needed it cleaned, and it does come apart I've had it completely apart and the Dyson Service Center in Houston also. And it's Friday my last day here and your just NOW telling me so that I can't call anyone else to service my vacuum?" She first says "I know that no one around here would do what you're asking, (and I quote) BABY" that's right folks... this business woman of the year... as if in an argument with her life partner... we are both women... called me "baby!" Then she became flustered and said she wasn't going to "argue" ... which I wasn't I was pointing out a few facts.... and then she hung up on me. I don't own a business. My bestie does, for over 15 years. Maybe I've learned to admit when I mess up from him. I would've called at least by the next day. Or I would've just said look. I have forgotten about your vacuum until just now and I know I told you I'd get it done. I want to make this right with you. Would you be comfortable with leaving it with me a week or so and letting me ship it to you since you're leaving town in the morning? I highly recommend The Vacuum Shop! As the owner of a German (Shedder), I was desperately searching for a better solution in a vacuum cleaner than my older Dyson. Marla (the owner) did great work in servicing my Dyson, but ultimately a vacuum that worked better for pets that shed was a must. She provided me with a great deal of honest information and several options on vacuums, making sure I was well informed about options to address my problem. I settled on a Riccar vacuum. This machine is totally AWESOME and truly worth every penny! I cannot say enough about it or the personal attention Marla provided, she even gave me a tutorial on the vacuum's features before I left! She went above and beyond in keeping me notified on the delivery status of my new vacuum and even followed up after the purchase. I found this place on a whim! The dog chewed the vacuum cord so it was either big another one or just fix the one we had. I called for pricing and she's very reasonable and pretty quick!! Thanks to the Vacuum Shop our vacuum is back in action and she ever changed the belt for us! There was a small piece that got lost while there but she offered to get us another one which is another reason I'll always come back and refer others! Great service, very nice lady. She seems very knowledgeable. Our 16 year old Kirby was making weird noises, so we brought it here. The woman cleaned the inside and fixed all the broken pieces, as well as the weird noise. I'd say it has another 16 years of life in it now! It was making weird sounds, not sucking, and I didn't know what was wrong with it. I couldn't find the answer from google either. Called a couple places. Took my vacuum in on Monday. It was a far drive from me, but Marla was very reassuring that she'd take care of it. This place is definitely a mom & pop shop. Not the most clean/organized, but they care about their customers. Honest, which is rare these days! Picked it up on Wednesday & everything works! She showed me how to clean the filter if I ever needed to & the belt if I needed to as well. Paid $35, which I thought was much more reasonable than a brand new vacuum. I'm glad I chose them. Great service. read more

Not as aesthetically pleasing as we have come to expect in our storefront stores. You walk in and the place is packed around a hundred fixed vacuum cleaners. That may be off putting to some but they make up for it in what matters to me. The lady who owns the shop is super helpful and has the patience of a saint. I didn't want to drive all the way up to Round Rock (I live in Austin), so I called in advance and described the problem. They were incredibly helpful -- asked me a few details about the vacuum, and told me exactly what to do to fix it, and then how to avoid the problem in the future. They saved me about three hours of time, and for that I'll definitely be headed up their way the next time I have a vacuum break-down. read more

I dropped off my 9 year old dyson pet hair vacuum because it was making a horrifically loud sound whenever I put it on the carpet setting. The lady (I'm assuming the owner) said that it was probably the fan belt and/or the rotating brush. She ended up replacing both parts and charged $65 + tax. The vacuum was fixed in about 24 hours. The dyson now purrs like she's brand new. I hope to get another 9 years out of her. read more

This place is the epitome of Texas Hospitality!! :) The woman owner is a gem of gems. She is so friendly and helpful. I brought my vacuum in on a Saturday, right before they closed at 3 pm. She came out - pulled my vacuum apart, fixed it in about 1 minute and gave it back to me. She is amazing and SO HELPFUL. She is what we consumers dream of finding, a shop that is friendly, fast, efficient and did I say FAST ... SO FAST! I dropped my Dyson off at The Vacuum Shop because the brush was not rotating. I got a call back within a day or so letting me know the issue and my options. When I stopped in to pick it up, it turned out that it wasn't as bad as they originally thought. They took the time to walk me through how to change and clean both filters (which I didn't even know there was a second filter) and how to avoid issues that other people have had with this model. I will definitely be back if anything else goes wrong with this vacuum and will be happy to purchase my next vacuum from here to support great customer service and a small, local business. read more

I took my Kirby vacuum in to have the cord replaced after my dog chewed through it. while there the nice lady, I assume the owner, took a look and asked if I also wanted to have it "tuned up". I told her no because I didn't want to spend the extra money to do so. She called me a day or two later telling me what a nice vacuum I had and what great condition it was on the outside, but after looking on the inside, I hadn't taken very good care of it. The bag was over full, there was fishing line a small fishing hook, matted hair and God only knows what else inside. She told me she would give me a break in cost because it was such a nice machine. I was happy to get it back because with all the rain, the dog and kids managed to track plenty of mud through the house. I used the vacuum and because of her great service it works like a brand new vacuum! I highly recommend this service center and will certainly go back if I ever have any other issues. The owners of this place are awesome. I came in with a leaking hose that was for my aquarium and I could not find a match for it in any hardware stores or pet shops. I was leaving for vacation for 2 weeks and could not run my aquarium filter with the leaking hose and they made a repair for me on the spot, no waiting and charged a very reasonable fee.
