Very nice Lowe's location! This is a large store, well stocked inside and a great nursery. The staff is very friendly and easy to find....which isn't always the case at a big home improvement store. We've bought appliances here, since Lowes tacks on an extra warranty for free. Great sales and good delivery and set up services. Get special offers if you have their credit card. As Lowe's go, this is your standard Lowe's. The store is nicely organized, clean and structured nicely in terms of items. I've purchased everything from hardware to garden items here. One bad thing I would have to say is that sometimes the customer service is hit and miss. Especially trying to find someone to as a question might be an adventure in itself. But when you do find someone, they are typically very helpful and courteous. read more

We went in to see if we could refund a purchase and redo the sale with another appliance added, to take advantage of a 3 yr finance plan offered on projects over $2000. John, at Customer Service, explained nicely what needed to happen, and through a mistake in invoicing in the appliance dept and numerous phone calls, remained cordial and calm, explaining everything along the way. I would give 5 stars except that Jim was noticeably perturbed with us in the appliance department. read more

Lowes is one of our favorite stops when looking for yard supplies including nursery items, for wood products, for hardware, and for paint supplies. We hired them to install our tile in our house--the craftspeople were high quality and we received a really first rate job, all well aligned, very little spacing between tiles and the product we purchased. The down side was their time estimate was off by 1/2--we put it up to the downturn. Also, the closure was a bit touchy with our toilets left uninstalled until we called and said, what is this? The management quickly responded and we had everything finished in short order after that but we would have liked it managed better. The front door helpers make sure that if you have a question it gets answered immediately. Delivery of store bought items has always been handled well. Cash register personnel are quick and efficient. It's a good sized store with much of what you expect but some seasonal differences. read more

I'm going to try to make this as short as I can. But this has got to be the worst experience I've ever had with any retailer. I blame half of this experience on the corporate customer service and the other half on this store. Ordered a Refrigerator, Dishwasher, Stove Top, Wall Oven/Micro combo, Sink, and garbage disposal. I ordered through the online customer service and this Oviedo store is my local store. To make a long story short, I was told my items were out for delivery and would be at my house in 45 minutes when in fact the items were back ordered. (how is that possible?). I was told that my items were received at the store and would be delivered on XXX date. Fact was these items were nowhere to be found and were finally delivered 2 weeks later. While waiting on my house for delivery that never came, I called customer service who informed me the items were actually back ordered. I figured this had to be a mistake. Well, Oviedo store said they didn't have the items there. I called the Altamonte store and they didn't have them there either. I explained what happened, so Altamonte employees called Oviedo employees. After 3 hours on the phone, all confirmed they don't have the items. Received call the next day and items were all located at the Oviedo store. WTF. Due to their incompetence, I had over $15k worth of holds put on my credit card as they had tried to ship and cancel my order multiple times (long story) and I had to spend hours trying to get these holds removed off my credit card to make it useable again. The manager at the store took 'special' care of my disastrous experience and assured me the items would be on the truck the next day. When I called and questioned why I hadn't received the delivery window, they said I was setup for delivery 8 days later. WTF! There is much more to this story that just baffles the mind. Is the flouride in the water and Chemtrails in the air making everyone stupid now or what? Insanity! My advise: if you don't see your item in front of you on the shelf and an open cash register, GO TO HOME DEPOT. If you can't put your hands on it in store, you probably never will with Lowes. I think their name sums up your expectations you should have. read more

Good luck in this store if you have a situation and need the store managers help, you'll need it. With my experience he has no interest in helping or trying to resolve any problems. Absolutely horrible service in this store. I'll take Home Depot everytime. At least at HD the store manager has always tried to rectify any problems I've ever had. I bought a very nice Kohler toilet from Lowe's and took advantage of the half-off installation price. What they didn't tell me until the very end is I also had to pay $50 for permit that apparently was required. The salesperson claims he had years of experience in plumbing and it was standard. The purchase was a weekend so I was advised that I would hear from there plumbing contractor that Monday by Wednesday I had to call and find out who it was assigned to and schedule because after they got my money no one called. KW mechanical came in from Kentucky Spence all of five minutes in my bathroom and determined that he could not do the installation because my whole subfloor needed to be ripped up and then repaired before he could do the install. I thanked him call Lowe's and canceled as I demanded my refund. I called two other legitimate Plumbing companies and one of the employees is an ex Lowes employee. I was told by both sources that they were only trying to get more money out of me and it would have been at least $300. I'm happy to say my toilet has been installed by a professional and nowhere near the cost that Lowe's contractors we're trying to get over. Never again well I trust Lowe's with any type of Contract Services! read more

When to Lowe's for two Items, no fun! I needed to speak with a person knowledgeable about the long-lasting light bulbs and dimmer switches. An electrician had told me that bulbs and switches need to be matched or the twenty dollar bulb will burn out. That is what mine did. Customer service told me to wait at cashier 8 and he would send someone over. I waited and waited. Finally,I ask another cashier to contact the person who was to assist. Waited some more, then was told to wait and cashier ten but it would be at least ten minutes. Okay, cancel this need and go check out and get two bags of rock salt and the Christmas gifts I had. The same man checked me out and I ask for a gift receipt for the Christmas items. Plus could someone help me with 80 pounds of rock salt to my car, he said he would. While I wait for the gift receipt he talks to his mom. I ask for the receipt again and another guy goes over and get the paper and hands it to me. I carry out 80 pounds of rock salt and they chat. Got home the receipt is an invoice with prices on it, not a gift reciept, NOY HAPPY read more

I went to the store and purchased air conditioning filters. I went to the self check out and tried to use my military discount. The cashier said I had to go to a actual cashier since he can not help me. I went to the cashier and had to wait on a long line. They one had one cashier open. Finally, they opened another line which was manned by the "head cashier." He said I cannot use my military discount since they changed their procedures a month ago, where you have to register the military discount online or at the courtesy desk. Needless to say when you go to the desk there is a line. It appears that this store is trying to save money by not having enough personal. For now on I will be going to Home Depot. read more

This review is specifically regarding their installation services. In-store team are very nice and knowledgeable. I tried to get lowes to install a hot water heater. After 4 days battling my kids to take cold showers, I could not get their installer to even call me back to schedule a time for installation. Called a real plumbing company and they installed it that day. Do NOT use their installation services, their sub out all of the work and have no control/management over the subs. read more

Bought a washer, to be delivered in a window of time, window closes, no call. Called store, lots of reasons why they can't call dispatch to find out when delivery can be expect. This is a big deal on Lowes end. Delivery shows up and just bulldoze down my driveway breaking branches from over hanging trees to get 10 feet closer. When I run out to stop them, they tell me; "Man, ain't no trees on the truck, chill out." Two feet from my face, with pants falling off and underwear hanging out, you get the professional picture. I insist they curb deliever. Now delivery is rude and do not hook up washer. Trying to report this to the store and get a manager is an act of the gods. Goes on for hours. Everyone is a manager until they find out what the problem is then, they are just a manager of an aisle or department. So- climb the ladder to corporate. End story, washer is returned, picking up my cash is another rude story of the head cashier, having trouble finding extended warrenty to refund, takes 20 mins. Finally tell me; " You are not paying attention." When I ask why it is taking so long. Hands me a wade of money, not counted back. Customer service is a lost art at the OVIEDO LOCATION. You can take the abuse, or shop elsewhere. Good luck. read more

After waiting 10 minutes, we went back inside to be told to wait again because they were very busy. Rick and Javier are amazing ! They installed a stackable washer dryer on the second floor that the apartment wouldn't properly accommodate, they would NOT give up. They did amazing seeing that the washer dryer spot is in a small closet that they it only has a 2 in clearance. Definitely a wonderful delivery because they were social and had a positive attitude. I am glad there's a Lowes to compete with Home Depot, but they really need to hire more people and hire people that know hardware and items. Whenever I go to a Lowes I think the employees for the most part are part time mom's working a register. Now there are a few good ones. Really no one in the aisles, even if I pulled in an employee kind of useless. I tried to get info on countertops recently and all I got is the isle number where they are with no one manning the area. Prices at times are better then HomeDepot so I come back. Their appliance prices are usually pretty good, unlike HD. Do not buy appliances from HD, even sale price a ripoff. If the employees didn't hide and knew things it would be great. read more

Had an issue returning a product last week. I have spent twelve thousand dollars in the last several years at this store. After dealing with a manager who was completely unhelpful, I had a chance to speak to another, named Jenna. Even though she confirmed that I had bought the one appliance, among many others, she would not allow me to return an unopened water filter that went to that appliance. Apparently, there is no reciprocal loyalty at this Lowes. I will think twice about going back to this store, and will take up the issue with corporate. Better either keep your receipt of use their brand credit card if you want cooperation at this store. read more

We were unable to locate any staff in the vacuum area, but we walked to the front registers and approached Joe, head cashier, and asked if he could assist us in retrieving our new Roomba from the top shelf. Best appliance experience ever. After a horrible experience with another local store that sells appliances we went to this store. We decided to go here because we learned they do not use third part installers. They ordered our products, scheduled delivery and installation for the two units together (washer and dryer). They were prompt and even early for installation. They were very knowledgeable about the products and taught us everything we needed to know before they left and made sure we were very comfortable with how to use and clean the item. They showed up properly set up the units to be brought into the house. Installed them one by one and double checked them and our house to make sure they did not do any damage. Had all the proper tools and installed them perfectly. Actually fixed a problem the old store created when they didn't have to. We were so thankful and will definitely shop Lowe's Oviedo for all of our household needs and appliances!!! read more

Called Lowe's to set up a measurement to install carpet at my home. Never received a call to schedule the measurement, called 3 times to resolve the issue and was treated each time with a nonchalant attitude from the employees. When I finally canceled I was told I needed to go to the store to receive a refund on the measurement fee. The entire episode was a horrible experience! I will not be returning to Lowe's, my experience with Home Depot has always been great, don't know why I decided to go elsewhere. I won't be making that mistake twice. read more

Employees are always helpful and actually go out of their ways to help you get what you need. This is very important for a non-handy couple like us! I placed an order on 8 May. I received an email with a delivery window of 8-11 am. It is today 10 May, and now past 1:00 pm and nothing has been delivered. I called the store around 11:38 am to find out where the delivery was. Was told that the driver "was on the way", but could not tell me where he was. (It makes a difference if he is coming from the Disney Area, or from another location in Oviedo). Customer Service said they left him a message to call. I called again at 12:08 to find out where my delivery was. Was told that driver was doing a delivery last time I called (I thought he was on the way to my house?); they left another message. It is now 1:30 pm and not only is there no delivery, and what bothers me the most is the lack of transparency. If the driver needs to deliver to points A, B, and C before my home, and I know they have the locations for A, B, and C, because drivers have a schedule of deliveries to be made, then please just be honest, tell me I am 8th in line, that they are 4 hours late, or whatever is the problem, so I can tell the workers to come back tomorrow instead of having them waiting wasting their time. read more

only giving one star because it doesn't give me the option of a big fat zero ! ... went to S Semoran Blvd location in Orlando ... the older gentleman working in lock aisle was VERY helpful .. although they could not find the item I was looking for .. inventory was off ... he wrote down item number & told me free shipping online .. I looked it up . he misspoke , there is NO free shipping .. however I called the Oviedo location .. their inventory stated they had 8 of that item in stock ... I thought awesome ... I need 7 , so I will get all 8 & have a spare .. so I called the store ... I was put on hold to be transferred to the manager so they could ship the item to the other location for pickup ... was on hold 8 minutes , when someone picked up the phone & disconnected me ... I called back , it had to be an error , right ? ... well when I called back , they picked up the phone & immediately put the call on hold ! .. NO hello, this is Lowe's ... not even a hello .. just hold ... now I'm upset .. this is NOT customer service to say the least .. I hung up after waiting 5 minutes on hold and NO ONE picking up the phone ... This time a man answered .. when I asked for a manager ... he said he WAS a manager .. This I think was a lie ... I have NEVER had a manager answer the phone in retail ... and I worked retail for years ! .. managers are far to busy to answer random calls ... anyhow ... this man claimed to be Neil & a manager ( wouldn't give last name ) ... I gave him item number of the product & they STILL couldn't find it ... or they didn't look .. who really knows , inventory says 8 as I stated earlier ... after him telling me they would ship via truck for $79.00 ... (store is 5 miles from each other.... an UBER would be cheaper for this product ) ... well that was last straw ... he wasted a total of 23 minutes and got no where but aggravated .... Went into store to buy a new refrigerator, dish washer, range and microwave. Went in with the assumption I would qualify for a military discount since I am a Viet Nam era veteran. Was told I could not get the military discount since I was not active duty or retired military. Too bad, it cost the store a $2800.00 order. Can't say I won't shop there again, but will definitely start looking at other dealers that offer military discounts to any and all that have served their country. read more
