I shop at this location because the service at Alafaya Trail is so horrible. This location does offer fair customer service but. . . wow have things changed as far as safety standards. This Home Depot is alright, I have had really good experiences here and some not that stellar experiences as well... For my review, I had in mind a really pleasant experience ordering flooring here. The manager/lead of the department for ordering carpet was so helpful with making appropriate choices for the order and advised for the thicker pad and I am so so so grateful she did. Other less pleasant experiences involved the garden section where I obviously needed assistance and they just didn't deliver or no one was around. A specific item stated they had several in stock but when I inquired with an associate that's where it just died. Other locations would actually assist with finding the stock. I have since adapted by ordering most of what I need online for in-store pickup because they actually have to find it in order to fill the order. It's a bit backwards, but it works and the customer service at the front have been really accommodating. Actually, speaking of their order pick up, they have actually delivered above and beyond expectations, even calling when they didn't have an item in stock and replaced it with something better at no additional charge and have accommodated me when I needed to change the pickup person. read more

I needed more spray paint. Fortunately, Home Depot is opened until 8pm on Sundays. They still carried the color I had purchased last year, but the price had gone up. I guess that's to be expected. This Home Depot is located at the corner or Red Bug Lake Road and Aloma, in Oviedo, right by the 417 overpass. Hubby and I have shopped here a ton since buying our house on this side of town over 5 years ago. The staff is always friendly, helpful and if they don't know the answer to a question- they will find the person that does. Especially helpful, as we are big DIYers. I've purchased everything from storm doors, appliances, ceiling fixtures, door and cabinet hardware, power tools, stain, mulch, plants and any type of nail or screw imaginable. Pricing is fine and usually within a few pennies of Lowes, one way or the other. Good tool rental department. I realize the saying "s**t goes s**t comes out but really did I have to visit 5 stores to get there brand "Hampton Bay " for 20 track lighting fixtures! The pro counter marginal at best for small time buyer and won't even get started on flooring department ! However when we went to the kitchen area to look for our counter top to help with the backsplash the lady working was very unfriendly. She basically walked away and did not help us. Won't allow negative product reviews on their website. I purchased the 1.5-Ton Under Vehicle Tire Skates (#5052 2 pack) to use on my flats boat/trailer. IF the wheels are all aligned it rolls easy but they don't swivel easily. Took two of us with a lot of force to swivel the casters. The wheel locks are very weak and only move about 1/16" either way. No way to easily tell if they are locked or not. Must be very careful stepping on the lock/unlock wing - very flimsy. Returned these and looking for something else. You get what you pay for............ Tried to leave this review on their website and they declined it. Seems like they only want 4 or 5 star reviews of crappy products. read more

Came here for flooring and got an excellent specialist right off the bat to assist us with redoing the entire house and she helped us decide the best flooring choice for our house which we stuck with and felt good about. Upon a follow up visit to select carpets for the bedrooms and finalize the rest of the project, the experience was not as good. The flooring specialist there this time seemed not to understand what I wanted to accomplish and I had to explain myself several times before I felt comfortable moving forward. In addition, their process once the floor was measured and changes needed to be made seemed incredibly complicated for the person helping us over the phone; I don't think this was their fault as much as it was how complicated the system was. We ended up getting quoted for a higher amount when we came the second time because a mistake was made with the support associate on the phone. This combination things did not inspire confidence. We ended up only purchasing carpet and went with a competitor for the rest. The install process for the carpet was quick, professional and affordable. We were very happy over all with the carpet. I will probably not be back to this location for flooring as that second visit took a very long time with very little accomplished but was quite happy over all with the price and installation. read more

The staff at this HD is the friendliest I have experienced. That's having shopped at many HD's and working at one for over 4 years. Store is staffed with plenty of employees, you are greeted by a majority of them asking if you need help. If you do, they will walk you to the item and through your options. They rent Penske trucks and trailers here. Sure beats Uhaul as the Penske trucks are newer and internally maintained by Penske. Tool rental gets very busy here and even with 2 associates, you might be waiting a few more minutes than usual. But I think them being so busy is a testament to their service. One of the greatest things about this store is the hot dog stand out front. A little pricey? Yes but after shopping, it's nice to get a hot dog, Italian sausage, kielbasa or some chips. The young lady who runs the stand is friendly and personable. Great way to end your shopping experience. read more

I rented a medium sized stump grinder yesterday morning and the experience was horrible. When I first rented it I didn't suspect it would be horrible. The line was only about 20 minutes long which isn't bad for Home Depot and usually better than other big box stores. The gentleman showed me how to use the tool and sent me on my way. I didn't suspect that my experience was about to get way worse. I arrived home and began to use the grinder. After the ten minute mark I heard a loud noise and seen my neighbors bathroom window shatter. I went over to my neighbors house and we discover a large bolt went through the bathroom window and embedded itself into the drywall of his house. We went back to the machine and noticed it was missing a bolt on the blade. I then had to spend the next few hours addressing the situation with my neighbors window, did not get my stump removed, and now I have bigger issues. My neighbor needs drywall work and probably paint touch up, a new curtain for the shower and possibly a new window as his was 15-20 years old and the window guy said he doesn't know if he can get a replacement double pane frosted/tempered glass window pane. Obviously with a missing bolt/nut on the machine I could not finish the grinding. To make the situation more frustrating I got to home Depot this morning at opening to speak with the tool rental. They didn't seem alarmed at all and said that someone probably forgot to tighten the bolt when rotating them as the cutting head is part of the bolt. They didn't seem to care about the expensive damage there machine caused or the fact that if someone had been standing in the bathroom or near the machine they could be severely hurt. The gentleman then stated he couldn't offer me a refund because its about how long it was out of the store not how long I used it even though it was broken and couldnt be used. Now this isnt my usual Home Depot because I had to drive 45 minutes to get there for this rental but it still makes me want to start using Lowes. What should have been an hour or two ended up costing me hundreds of dollars (rental alone was 185), a wasted day, I still have a tree stump, and now an angry neighbor. read more

Home Depot is often a first stop when searching for items to upgrade, repair or maintain our home because they often have less expensive items and more everyday useful items. We ended up buying our outdoor paint here because the paint at Lowe's tends to be thinner and more suited to being applied by paint sprayer and we prefer the heavier application that comes with rolling the paint on. Their nursery often has tempting plants and they also have yard pavers, etc. We buy garden tools here quite often. They are our first choice for replacement doors which will be expensive but they have a good line of different styles and durability. When my husband builds items he often gets the supplies for wood and fittings here as well as tools. We're also looking at them for fencing supplies--we were able to install a quick temporary fence. We have always received very friendly help and quick answers to our questions. They also have plentiful parking and different styles of shopping carts that makes picking up the heavier items easy. read more

It has a complete set up for all your projects like all Home Depots but when you need to rent a truck or tool equipment this is the location My most recent trip involved rental of a truck some home projects.Kelly and Henry were most helpful with making this happen. I needed to drop off a Toro lawn mower for repair along with some other projects that required truck rental. The weather was typical afternoon down pours and it caused my to do list with the truck to bottom out. I had only planned this minimum rate but changed to a day rate. Henry helped me out tremendously. He knew the weather prevented me from doing my tasks and helped me out on the time so I could get the most out of my day rate. He really made the difference. Owning a house means going to Home Depot a lot. I'm here about once a week, as I'm the fixit and project guy. I've redone our sprinklers, installed a large paver type path and just put up a shed. Any questions about a project, there are some good people at this location. Wife was just here buying a storm door, Ray walked us through a few of the highs and lows of the doors. Ended up buying a better (more money) door than we would have, score 1 for Home Depot. Skip the Behr paint with primer for your front door, that has been our only problem in 6 years of purchases. If you have the Home Depot credit cards, they send you special offers which we try to take advantage of. Good tool and truck rentals for special projects. read more

I just had an issue with some paint that I purchased. It didn't seem to adhere to the wall properly and it didn't seem to lay down like I expected. I had purchased the Baer Marquee, which is the best paint they offer. I went to the service area and was helped by the manager. He listened to my concern and took me to the paint department. They too listened to my concern. While there are many reasons for my concern, they worked to solve it WITH me and professionally. Great people make a great store!! read more

Second Post for the new refrigerator I purchased at this store in March 2019. Sounds like a meat grinder in the kitchen. I've have the authorized repair people out twice April and May. Last visit they said they needed to order parts that were not available. I won't recommend purchasing any major appliance from Home Depot. The Home Depot Store has basically washed their hands of any responsibility for the refrigerator and is leaving me to deal with the manufacturer. Expensive, usually at this location the item you want is not in stock. Lots of empty slots where the items should be. A good example are the sprinkler parts empty out of place boxes. The one thing that pisses me off about Home Depot, you go to get a simple connector for a rotor head, you have to build two sections together to get it to connect to a pipe. Costing you double the price. Also the prices for individual sprinkler componets have got insanely priced over the past few years. Parts that cost .25 now like .89 that kind of gouging. Home depots do have good hours but rarely have good prices. At this location most of the time, if you have questions the employees try to avoid you, There are a few that are helpful but that is only a few. I always laugh when I go to home depot and see the self checkouts. They were the first to come up with those, and by no means do they help to lower prices for the customer. read more

Window purchase and installation. We were in need of new windows after the 4 year old successful kicked a soccer ball through the glass. GOOOOOAAAAAALLLLLL. GOOOOOOAAAAALLLLLL! Hello All, Stay away from the Lawnmowers at HD. I just bought a John Deer riding lawnmower. After purchasing it at the register they told me this one is Reconditioned. I asked them to explain, they said, it was brought back to factory condition and not to worry HD has high standards. I had it delivered the next Saturday. The delivery service rolled it off the truck and BAM! it didn't start. All of us tried everything to get it to turn over. I called the store and the MGR there asked me to take the battery out and take it somewhere to get it charged! I said buddy this is not on me to do that. You need to bring out a new battery. He then sent the guy from Lawn and Garden out with a HD battery. While waiting for the guy I inspected the mower, I found a few unsettling things. One of the blades had a blue tie ribbon from a pallet and the whole underneath was full of dead grass and rusty. (I don't see how this would have been reconditioned and brought back to acceptable standards). The guy arrived and looked over the John Deer and told me this was one that was returned due to a recall. (WHAT) He looked over the move and had me sit on it and take it for a spin. I took it to the lawn and started cutting. and Nothing was happening. I took it over to the guy. He said the belt is stretched and needs replacing. The guy left and called saying he would send John Deer to my house. Never happened... 3 days later they sent Sunbelt Inc. to pick up the mower. I wrote the customer care team a long email with pictures. What I got back was a letter saying you have 90 days to return. No help or suggestions on what they will do! So I called the person writing the email. I called and left 4 messages. NO CALL BACK. I called again and asked for a different person, they said it show it resolved. I said, how has it been resolved... No one told me! He called the store and had the Asst Mgr talk to me. He said he would not do anything else but repair it or I can return it! I would just like to say how disappointed I am with Home Depot for using and recommending a company called ARS Rescue Rooter. I always believed Home Depot to be a relatively good company but have my reservations ever since they paired me with a rip off shyster company that they subcontracted to install an A/C unit which I paid in advance for because I trusted that there commitment to customers is real. What a joke! Do you jerks even research the companies you hire to come into trusting consumers homes? Did you happen to see all the bad business this company has done , how many people they have ripped off? I have done business with your company for years as a contractor and I am happy to say Lowes will be my choice from this day forward after having experienced the crap you hire and say is professional and knowledgeable. My family is going on 4 days without A/C now, during the middle of summer and here it is 3 visits and 2 supposed service techs later and it's still not fixed. And each time it was a different guess as to what could be wrong not a solid diagnosis. People are paying a lot of money which some of us really don't have. And to end up dealing with this after trusting your word that I was in good hands is really sad. Did I mention that the unit they installed is less than 7 months old? And ARS claims that the service guys are journeyman, that in itself is a joke cause the first guy they sent out had less than 2 yrs experience. The bottom line is, Home Depot, if you were smart you would really act like you say and show that you care about your consumers by doing your due diligence in researching the companies you hire as sub contractors, unless your just as worthless and seedy as they are! read more

Disappointed. I purchased a dishwasher during the Memorial day weekend. A delivery was scheduled for the following weekend. The product came with the biggest dent in the front plate so the item was refused. We were to to expect a call within 24 hours to reschedule. Well 2 days go by and no call so I called to have the product redeliver f after explaining the story. I explained that I was dissatisfied and considering canceling my order. However I was assured and was told no problem they were processing the order and should hear within 3 business days. No call. Hum. On day 5 I received a call that delivery would take place the following Monday that didn't work so I requested another date. I asked for a Saturday and was told I would again receive a call when delivery would be expected. Sitting waiting today. No call and no show. The WORSE experience I have ever had with this branch. read more

I even had one associate tell me that my military ID card is not real ( I have a smart card, which the military converted to in the late 90's). she was looking for one of the old laminated cards. when she brought the manager over he said they can refuse the discount as they see fit...well you either honor it or you don't. I love this Home Depot. The staff is friendly and helpful. When I ask where is the item I need, on most occasions, they lead me to the item (instead of simply pointing to the the isle and sending me on my way). We have dropped some serious coin at this Home Depot. On one occasion, I didn't have a receipt for an item I purchased that stopped working. I called and asked if there was a way could check their system, using my credit card to find the purchase, so that I could have a replacement. They told me to bring it in and they replaced it with very little complication. We have also rented equipment from them and it was easy, peasy. read more

We just rented a Penske truck through the tool rental dept and were completely satisfied! It was a breeze picking up the truck and dropping it off. The pricing is great and beats the competitors! We will never use U-Haul again. Also the Penske trucks are in much better condition. read more
