I never get the customer service I need, these people dont care about the customer waiting time.

Currently painting inside of the house, the paint department is always unmanned and hard to fine someone to help when needing paint mixed. Went early in the morning and it was 0930 and they said that no one is there due to they were on lunch. At 0930 in the morning, kinda early. This is pretty much your standard Lowe's. It's a very large home improvement store. It's got tools, garden stuff, appliances. In other words, exactly what you would expect. So why the five star review? Let me explain... I came here to get some washable, cut-to-size air filters. Lowe's website showed there were plenty in stock at this location. When I got there, I was pleasantly surprised to find lots of staff available to direct me to the right aisle. (Getting someone to help you at Home Depot is like pulling teeth.) But when I get to the air filters section, it's not there. Luckily, there was another Lowe's team member just around the corner ready to help. He looked up the bin number on his device and confirmed they had them in stock, but they weren't on the shelf. BUT he had an idea - maybe they were moved to the air conditioning section but the bin number wasn't updated in their system? BINGO! He walked me over, and I got the air filters no problem. Apart from the convenience of being across from Costco and its fueling station, the service at this location is middling to "too-big-to-fail" ---basically, they know you need them, so why bother trying harder, like many mega corporations. Calling to speak to someone on the phone for something you cannot actually do online is impossible. I gave up on a special request after 20 minutes of waiting. Honestly the San Fernando Home Depot may appear a little more rough around the edges than the Pacoima Lowe's, but their prices are consistently lower on many products and their customer service is better. read more

Paid $1,996 for blinds and paid for Lowe's installer to measure. They measured, store called me to tell me measurements were in and to come pay money. I did. They installed and one of blinds blocks kitchen cabinet from opening. In other words, if you open that kitchen cabinet door, it will damage the door and knock the blinds off their brackets. Called installer, they said they did their job and I have to deal with Lowes since they sold me the blinds. Called Lowes, could not get through, went there, someone called me back and said they would follow up. No one ever followed up. Call customer "service" center, they could not even find my $1,996 order in their records and said I would have to deal with the store since I bought blinds in store and it's "in a separate system." Finally, ,I had to look up the order and then customer service was, finally, able to find it. We're into this with more than 3 hours and still no blinds that work. The real person to blame is me, I should have known not to order ANYTHING installed by this outfit. read more

For the past three days, I have been trying to contact the store to update an order for a completed job. Despite numerous attempts, I have been unable to get through to anyone. Each time I called, the phone was either not answered, or when it was picked up, I was immediately placed on hold without any communication. After waiting for 5-6 minutes, the call would either drop or be hung up. On one occasion, I finally got through but could hear the employee walking around the store and talking to other customers, clearly unaware that my call was connected. It appears these low iq workers are just avoiding having to asnwer customer calls which seriously disrupted our project. f The behavior of the staff at this branch demonstrates a blatant disrespect for customers. This issue needs immediate attention and resolution. I urge management to seriously evaluate the customer service practices at the Lowe's of Pacoima and make necessary changes to ensure that this does not happen to other customers. read more

It took 40 minutes to get a single item. (Or more, I started my timer only after being ignored for about 15 - 20 minutes. Literally, a timer.) It was not in the aisle that the online site said it would be. It took 5 intercom pages and me asking multiple employees to help me. I started standing next to employee's that were working with other customers to ask for help once they were done. They actively avoided helping by walking away. Evidently they are not allowed to "leave their area." (Register area) So I can even get that, but after asking a manager, who then intentionally, INTENTIONALLY, ignored me after she acknowledged me and I asked for help, she quietly disappeared "from her area she couldn't leave." I get working a floor. I've done it. I've get working a register. I've done it. Customer service, same. But this was EXCEPTIONALLY POOR. It was obvious that were WAAAAAAYYY understaffed and the staff was underwater. This is 100% managements fault. It was even mentioned that much of the staff had been sent home already for the evening... on Friday night. 0/5. Management's fault 100%. As a homeowner or contractor I would avoid this Lowes unless your time means nothing, isn't valuable, and is worth nothing. read more

On the positive side, store is clean and well stocked, plenty of parking, and a really good selection of house plants at really good prices. The plants are the main reason I go there. The negative side is the store is in a terrible area and the traffic around it, mostly because of Costco I think, is a nightmare, especially on the weekends. Terrible customer service and always al long line at the customer service desk. Also I don't like being followed around the store by thier "undercover" security lady.....she was so obvious and I felt embarrassed. Horrible service !!! Never returning to this location!! I waited for over 30 mins in the paint department for assistance, and not one employee came to assist me. I had to turn around and ask the employees in front of the paint department to page someone twice ! All they did was keep looking! Some employee with a edgar hair cut just stood there and watched! Much better than Home Depot from a aesthetic perspective and more supportive from there associates but lacking in materials for contractors. I would love to give my $ to Lowe's than Home Depot but they cater more to the consumer than the contractor. This Lowes pickup is probably the worst I ever seen. At least Home Depot has a locker outside for you to just scan your QR code and get your item there. This Lowes however decided to put the customer service line and pick up line all together so of course you'll have to wait in the long line. With this pandemic happening around the world and knowing people would pick the store pick up, they should have a separate line for pick up and not merge it. They even open the box in front of me so I took a picture of it there as proof if I have to return the item to show they open it and not me. I'm not planning on coming back to this Lowes location, I hope the other Lowes are not like this where you have to wait in a long line since they weren't smart enough to separate the lines like how the other stores does it. read more

Stopped by this location to purchase a fire pit for my daughter's "friendsmas" that she will be hosting this weekend. We found one we liked on the Lowe's website, said it was available so we swung by, paid for it and they are able to hold it until my husband can pick it up. Pretty easy process, professional and polite customer service. I always prefer Lowe's over home depot, they carry everything I need, never super packed, clean and organized store. And again, customer service definitely tops Home Depot! About a 15 minute drive from me, so it's convenient. This is definitely my go to local home improvement store. read more

Honestly...this review is just for the customer service in the pick up department. I ordered a fire pit in June that was on sale. It was SUPER backordered...by SUPER, I mean I just picked it up yesterday 9/27/2021. It was not the fault of Lowe's. The manufacturer was not producing them as quickly due to Covid. My 5 star review is for the excellent communication from the people in the pick up department. They were very patient with my many calls and inquiries and they kept me informed on what was going on with my order. Thank you for your awesome customer service. read more

I wish zero stars was a thing. Against my better judgment we purchased the patio table from them. Rented a truck from them (a hassle by the way and nasty people behind the counter ) . We get the set home, open the box and the 1st chair is bent in the back. Almost to a point. You can not sit in it. So now I have to deal with this store again. The employee told me to go to aisle 9 when I went it wasn't there. If a customer is looking for something they should accompany the customer to the location to find the item they're looking for. Went to return an item and first off the associates that were working the counter were too involved in their conversation about getting one's nails done. Even after she, Arlin, acknowledged me she continued the conversation with her co worker. When she finally decided to help me, she was of no help at all because I had misplaced my receipt for the item and usually I'm given store credit when this happens but Arlin was insistent that the gift card machine was down. Bullshit. I've worked in customer service as a manager for over 20 years and just recognized this as laziness because she wanted to continue her conversation with her friend. Now I understand that they get a lot of theft and fraud but I was just going to spend more money there anyways since I'm remodeling my home. Love how this Lowes is freeway close but don't enjoy the nearby Costco traffic. Getting in and out of the lot can be a bit tricky. The huge parking lot is shared with other businesses but I've always managed to grab a decent spot. I was just at the other Lowes in Northridge (see my Northridge review) but needed a few more plants. This Lowes seems to have a little better selection in the Garden Center. The GC set up is also a bit more relaxing and pleasing to the eye. It's also less crowded which could be the reason the selection is better and it's more relaxing. :) The rest of the store is very similar to the other local Lowes locations. read more

I came in to purchase a gallon of "Swiss mocha" which is a generic white color on the shelf, normally at home depot. I decided to stop in to see if they carry the color. After looking around on the shelves, I didn't see it. The associate avoided making eye contact with me, or ask me if I had any questions, so I decided to walk up to him to ask him if he had any knowledge of the color. He stared at me for a second, shrugged his shoulders, threw his arms up in the air and said "I don't know, why don't you look? We have thousands of colors", he said. I tried to explain to him that it wasn't one of the colors from the thousands of options on the wall, but was a generic color from the shelves. Before I could even finish explaining, he walked away and left me standing there, still talking. I couldn't believe it, I took a picture (not sure why, but here we are). I went to the cashier with another option of white, and asked to speak to a manager. She apologized for his actions and said she would report the incident to his direct supervisor.
