Our favorite Lowe's location in Pensacola. When we relocated here and had to purchase a washer and dryer. The employees were helpful and delivery was smooth. Also the seasonal Halloween and Christmas decorations were bright and colorful. The various animatronic characters were in full display. Parking is never an issue because the lot is humongous. It's still just a two star location unfortunately. But I had to update based on my latest experience. To be brief. I went in to purchase a dishwasher for the Presidents' Day sale. The representative from appliance who shall remain nameless, tells me that I'm required to have measurements done before I can purchase the item. This under 5 minute visit cost me $45 btw. Anyway, I'm told by the contractor afterwards that he'll be sending the assessment to Lowe's right away and I should hear back soon to schedule the installation. The paperwork I received said nothing about the dishwasher, so I went back to Lowe's to ensure that not only I was still getting the sale price but to ensure that the specific item I wanted to buy didn't sell out since they had 4 left in stock. The rep I spoke to told a few days later tells me they no longer had the item available but that I could go to another Lowe's location since they had 3 in stock. So I go to the other location and I'm recommended to go back to the original location because they didn't have the assessment on file and it would be best to avoid confusion with the install. During this back and forth I came to learn that the assessment wasn't even necessary. So now I'm upset for the wasted time and misinformation. Luckily, the one representative that went above and beyond and I'm ok name dropping "Elizabeth", took care of the situation. Kudos to her. read more

The service for online orders is unorganized and unprofessional. In the most recent example of poor service they canceled an order before reaching out. When called, they stated that the reason was because the item in stock was a display, offered the display, but then refused to hold the item until we arrived because the order had already been cancelled on their end. read more

A new LOW even for LOWES. I usually avoid this company because I always have to put my hat over the unauthorized recording cameras at checkout. Sadly, my wife wanted a storm door and the 'other' company only sold white. We went to the store to view the Larson storm door.and tried to order it. The people in the door department actually ran away. Tries to order online and that was even more of a failure. Went to Customer Service to order and got an argument. Asked to hear the manager tell me the same argument but the person never showed up so I left after 15 minutes. After almost one (1) hour in the store, no one apologized for the inconvenience and incompetence. The 'other" company thanks Lowes for the extra push to spend my money elsewhere. Hubby & I went to our usual Lowe's to purchase a small freezer for the holidays & they did not have any in stock. So long story short, we ended up at this Lowe's to order the small freezer bc they said online they had them in the warehouse & we could pick it up at this location. Needing it right away, we stopped in, ordered it, it was shipped ASAP & they contacted us when it arrived for pickup. We got it just in time for the Christmas holiday party season! This is to my experience the worst Lowe's store I've ever been to, which is nowadays saying something. Lowe's in general has been harder and harder to deal with over the last several years. It's almost like they're trying to drive people to Home Depot. Hers my latest issue with Lowe's. I bought a new bathroom sink and cabinet combo, and bought an Allen & Roth faucet to go with it. I got the old cabinet out, replaced the hot and cold water shut off valves underneath and installed and screwed the new sink to the wall. So far, so goo. When I went to install the faucet ( I've easily done possibly 10!or more of these over the years) I discovered that the faucet came with some "quick clamp" screw designed to attach the components to the sink. You're supposed to push hard on it and twist it as it attaches to the threads of the sink parts. Never grabbed for me. So after numerous tries with all three of these clamps I called the help desk. I could tell by the conversation path that the woman on the phone has no idea what I was talking about. She eventually asked me if I'd viewed a video about how to install a sink, and when I asked her if she had a link I could get, she said "no"! She then recommended I return the unit to Lowe's, which I did. And to add insult to injury, the clerk at the return desk, apparently because she had to look up my wife's Lowe's card to to the refund, acted like I was disturbing her. I bought peat moss and organic performance fertilizer online and had my husband pick them up. The following g day, I was going to use them, the peat moss was good but the fertilizer was hard as a rock. I was disappointed as I was ready to use it but it had to be swapped, my husband wasn't available to go, so I had to. I called and the CS said she was going to give me 15% off. That was $1.72 which declined, I said I just need to speak to the manager so this doesn't happen again. Your $1.72 isn't sufficient for the time, gas and inconvenience. So I spoke w the assistant manager and told him what happened, I said pls tell whoever fulfills your online orders to be more sensitive to your customers' needs. If it looks like you won't buy it for yourself thats a sign that the product isn't satisfactory. the box itself was yellowing and the label almost off which to me suggested it wasn't good anymore. The expiration date wasn't visible anymore either. He assured me he'd talk to the employee. So I went to swap it and I personally went to the garden area so I can pick out the good one. I found out they were all the same. Looks like they got rained on and melted, then dried from the heat. I was not able to find a good one. A couple weeks ago I spent $4,300.00 at Lowe's Fairfield Drive Pensacola for a new kitchen. I was given an installation date of 1/11. I was told to empty all the cabinets around the dishwasher, range , refrigerator and over the range microwave. I did that. My house looks like I'm moving. On 1/10 they called, just kidding now we are coming Monday 1/13. Not only is my kitchen torn apart, I had to cancel a very important trip to Panama City on 1/13. Today, 1/13 I got a text stating will be there today. Now I just got a voicemail saying, just kidding, now we are coming 1/22. They didn't even have the courtesy to call me will this news, just a voicemail with no number to call and speak to a human. If it wasn't a major hassle, I'd get a full refund. What I can do is warn the public about purchasing appliances that require installation. You might want to try Home Depot or Best Buy. Lowe's doesn't give a damn about their customers obviously. Today I had "James" as a cashier in the garden section. My fiancé and I use the same Lowe's account for simplicity sake. I gave James the phone number, but he said I cant use the joint account unless she is with me. I said okay and presented him my military id so I could at least get the military discount. James denied my id and stated it's "company policy" and i have to register online. The customer service team they have on the phone is a wreck. I've called four times asking about an online order and have received different answers to my questions every single time. None of them sound confident in their answers either. On top of that, they all sound miserable on the phone. Before you speak a word, they grumble, "Customer service..." as a greeting, in the most deflated voice ever, as if your call has deeply inconvenienced their job... as a customer service team. We bought a dishwasher and it took over a week to come in. When we bought the dishwasher we paid $150.00 for installation. We were told the installation would be by a certified plumber. The installer was not a certified plumber. He installed the dishwasher but could not get it to drain so he told us we should have bought a Maytag or another brand than GE. He had to call another installer to try to figure out why the dishwasher was not working. He cut his finger so we had to give him disinfectant and a bandaide. He said the pump on the brand new dishwasher was probably defective so he took it back out. He told us to call the store and order another dishwasher. We were on the phone forever trying to get the appliance manager. After holding on forever, we were hung up on. We eventually got thru and luckedly there was another of the same model in stock. The same installer did later come back and installed the new dishwasher which appears to be working fine. But I had no confidence in the installer and am waiting for it to start leaking or stop working at any moment. read more

On 5/5/23 I called Lowes on Fairfield to order a microwave and dishwasher. It took me more than 3 hours to complete the order. From Customer Service I continued calling and I held on the phone until someone answered which always took more than 20 minutes for them to answer. When they answered they transferred the call to the wrong department and the call was sent back to Customer Service. This happened 6 times. Finally Elizabeth in the appliances department answered. I explained that I was trying to place an order. She continued interrupting me while I was explaining why I was calling. She put me on hold for 25 minutes when Elizabeth came back to the phone she stated she could not process an order over the phone. I told her I had placed an order over the phone for a range just two weeks before. She put me on hold again for 15 minutes and came back on the phone and told me she could not find anyone to take my order and she would have someone call me back. The orders cost more than $1000.00. I had just gotten out of the hospital and could not drive for six weeks that was why I had to place the over the phone. No one called me back so I called Customer Service again. Can't do simple math. Claim to sell tile by the sq ft then when you check out argue with you. The boy in tile today Saturday 4/9 has no idea what he's talking about. We purchased tile on sale which the sign said 1.37/sq ft. There are 8 pieces of tile in the box and the boxes each cover 11.63 sq ft. When we tried to pay we noticed it was ringing in at about 2.60 per piece. Told them it wasn't right. After 45 minutes of trying to explain simple math to the flooring boy and a supposed manager he came up with 2.05 per piece. Still not correct it should have been 1.99 a piece. He thought a 6inchx36 inch piece of tile equaled just over a square ft. area for 1 sqft is 144. Area for a 6x36 tile is 216. And his argument for trying to charge was that I have a 3ftx6in long tile. I'm embarrassed for him. The girl that is supposedly the manager was also rude an unhelpful and rolled her eyes when I told her the computer was wrong and the math was wrong. Boy didn't help load the tile either time and it took 20 minutes for help to show up and load onto trailer. I settled on 2.00 per tile because I was tired of waiting for them to do the right thing. I normally go to Home Depot but on this specific day I was with a friend and he wanted to go to lowes. No big deal. I've gotten my military discount every time I've remembered to use it which is rarely with no problem. Usually I just show my VA card and they do their thing with the computer. Never a problem. However on my last trip I went to check out and attempted to use my discount and the older lady at the self-checkout asked if I was registered. I said no and that I had never heard of any registration. I explained how every other time the attendent typed my information into the computer and I proceeded to checkout. Amazingly she proceeded to get an attitude and tell me he (the other attendant) should not have done that and I needed to register with lowes.com. Had she been cordial I would have let it go and purchased my items and registered at a later date. But since she wanted to be confrontational and flex what little bit of authority she imagines she has I left my items at the register and walked out. Lowes, like Home Depot, provide you, the buyer with all kinds of inexpensive items and Lowe's like Home Depot has the people there that can help you out. The one star rating I gave them primarily deals with there warranty they sell on there big ticket items. do to the fact, they don't honor there warranty, and they make it extremely difficult for you to get anything done, as they have more numbers to call for more departments then you could shake a stick at. On March 3, 2011 I purchased a Master Force BBQ Grill, I also purchased a home warranty for it, as I'm well aware a beach front home will eat it alive. My contention was just that the warranty was for two years, and there is no way this Master Force Grill would last that long (the grill was covered for that period of time). I drove down to this Lowe's on May 29, 2012, and when I went down there the first time i didn't have a receipt with me. I felt they'd be like Home Depot or Best Buy, that they would just look up my name on the computer. Well. I certainly got an education about the word OBTUSE, as that was there behavior. I was told Lowe's only keeps our names in the computer for 6 mod, if I had a receipt they would look it up and take it back. Or, I could call 1-800-B4LOWES and they would research it. OK, first time my fault. The should have a better computer system. So on my 22 mile journey back to my house, I called the Lowe's corp HQ, I found they were as helpful as a hearing air with out a battery. I was given more and more numbers to call. The repair department was the most helpful, but without proof of a warranty I was up a proverbial creek. As I got home I remembered where I put my receipt, and took the 22 mile journey once again, this time I had divorced myself from ever shopping at Lowe's again and if I were successful I was going to donate the grill to those in need. Tht=at was the only thing that ebbed my aggravation But, the receipt I had which was in a Lowe's wrapper thepaper is such that after a year and 3 months. the ink had faded away, the price was all that was readable. Hopefully I would find someone who could read (no such luck). The Returns/Exchange gal was even less helpful then the other who was previously there. As a matter of fact when the gal who was there originally saw me, she just walked away. That's always heart warming. I asked to speak to a supervisor ref, the issue I had required a receipt and the receipt I had had faded. If someone could help a supervisor could, once again no such luck. There's a moment in my disposition where I fade into a temperament that I don't like, and I saw it coming in dealing with these two idiots. I felt with uniformed personal on there 1-800 number and these two were no better. So with getting into the name calling and the loud voices. I chose to walk away from the Grill Warranty Issue, I just as for a dump, to dump the Grill, they were quick to comply with that. I went to the Lowe's in Fairfield in Pensacola, FL two times this week. The first time I went, I was offered no assistance, and didn't have all the hardware I needed. After my second visit, I flagged Terrence down, and he rectified my previous bad visit. Not only was he extremely friendly, and helpful, he even pulled out an item to ensure the hardware would fit and gave a couple suggestions. When I initially stopped him, he looked as though he was about to clock out (which he denied), and helped me; when I got to the register, he was walking out the door for the night. He WAS about to clock out, and when I said something to him about it, he was still friendly and told me not to worry about it. Not a lot of people would do that nowadays, and I would like to commend him on his service, knowledge, and positive attitude. (This rating is based SOLELY on this experience with THIS employee.) Lowe's bait and switch program. My dryer died on Sunday and I needed a new one quick, I checked Home Depot they could not deliver until the following Saturday, I then checked Lowes website and they offered next day delivery. The price was the same as Home Depot, although Home Depot would give me an extra $25 off if I applied for their credit card, I went with Lowe's. The next day I checked to see when my delivery would arrive, turns out it would not be for another four days. I called Lowe's to complain and was told that the delivery date was on my receipt, it was but it was in really small print, still not what the website offered to get me to buy. Lowe's offered me 10% off on a future purchase, why would I give them more business, I laughed at the representative and told them no. I filed a BBB complaint wanting their website to accurately quote delivery or put in a disclaimer about actual delivery dates. Lowes called me and once again offered 10% off on future purchase. As the dryer I bought was $210 off on sale their markup is huge, 10% off is a pittance but apparently treating a customer well is a thing of the past. I would not even give one star, On Saturday 10/29/22 went to Lowes on 9 Mile Road bought a Maytag Dryer and would be delivered on Monday, 10/31, was told that on Sunday 10/30 we would receive a call regarding delivery time for Monday however, Sunday at 2:30PM we called Lowes because we had not heard anything regarding delivery time. The person we spoke to stated that delivery are set up with a company Spirit Logistics and they make there called between the hours of 5-8pm the night before the delivery. Never received a call by the 8pm hour, so called back to Lowes and then told NO the delivery company would call the morning of delivery. On Monday, 10/31 by 11am we still heard nothing about a delivery time, so I call Lowes and speak to a women by the name of Mary, she puts me on hold gets in touch with delivery company, I was then told delivery would be between the hours of 5pm-8:30pm. Still have not received a phone call about delivery from the Third Party Delivery Company! So by the time they finally do delivery the dryer at 6pm on Halloween Night in a huge subdivision with over a 1000 kids in the neighborhood, the big ass Lowes Truck is in the middle of the road blocking traffic. Let me just say very poor delivery service!!! My point is that Lowes needs to get it together and I would look into the contractor that you have to do your delivery and insulations. Because not only did I try and get help regarding my deliver on Monday 10/31, but I also called Sprit Logistics and spoke to some not so bright employees that could do nothing to help me with a time for delivery but also had one person hang up on me, and as far as the Manager at Lowes I think he needs to take responsibility in making sure that his customers are happy. He was absolutely useless! You want people to buy your products but when you need delivery, he has no clue. So yes, experience was horrible, if you are able don't use delivery service Lowes provides, because they truly suck at customer service!!! Will not every step foot into Lowes again! I'm done shopping at LOWE's. I'm a home renovator, and on 4/28 Lowes had Schluter shower kit item KK122pvce for $348. Same one at HD was $475. I needed one, I went out, ordered one, paid for it and expected it to be ready for pickup in 10 days. Today, 2 weeks later I visited the store, no kit, and after 40 minutes, the head cashier who had my credit card. She credited my account my purchase price, and said these were not available, and she did not know when it would be. (My first opportunity less than an hour later, the same item was available online for$525). They obviously discovered their mistake. I have made mistakes in bidding, and when I do, I have eaten it. These managers who weren't responsible for the original online mistake, lied to me gave me no opportunity to resolve their in an honorable manner, and did not even apologize for the trips, my time or their mistake. I used to LOVE Lowes. They better get it together. I hope corporate is reading reviews. They worked so hard and have come so far only to peak and then crash & burn. Home Depot parking lot is practically empty because I'm certain that Lowes has gotten most of their business. HOWEVER, the store is total chaos and the employees don't know where anything is. It's difficult to find anything in this place because it's scrambled up. Someone needs to be working quality control. I saw stuff that customers grabbed, decided not to keep and put it on a top or bottom shelf of another aisle. Employees should be doing aisle checks. It's what we did when I managed a Walgreens. There is no quality control because there is NO control. If online says something is in a certain aisle and certain bay and there are 4 left and you go in and there aren't any of that item? It could literally be anywhere! I went in to return something and the employee didn't even know what she was doing. I finally left the return on the counter and left the store. They'd figure it out. I purchased 5 bags of potting soil today and the Lowes worker gave me the dirtiest bags he could find - he reached over bags in good shape and put bags with tairs in my trunk. I asked him if the bags were wet as they are heavier if they are wet. He said the sprinklers hit them. I have more dirt on the outside of the bags and loose dirt all over my trunk.. if you are female or over 60 they will take advantage of you. If you are interested in doing all the loading and labor to get building supplies to the register and out to your car, Lowe's is the place to go. If you wanted to be impressed by employees use of profanity, to include the f word, Lowe's is the place to go. If you want to be amazed by the ignorance of cashiers who don't know how to price hardware pieces like bolts, then Lowe's is the place to go. All of this in consecutive weeks. Home Depot is not much better but this is about the abysmal performances at Lowe's. They truly must hire from the bottom feeders in the local labor pool to come up with the losers they have wearing red jackets. Call the manager? Forget it, the store number is only a recording with no other options telling you store operating hours. If you want the manager, call the construction services desk.
