The ownership and staff here are top notch! Since the first time I visited, I have rarely driven further than this store to get anything I used to go to the larger chains for. Anything from yard care to plumbing, air filters, or pool supplies. I cannot comprehend how they can fit everything I need in such a small store without it feeling overly cramped -- but they do it well here! They will give honest recommendations for what you ask and will not try to upsell you on products just to make an extra buck. They are more focused on earning loyal, returning customers than creating a bad experience with higher sales. This review is about the Stihl department only (it's in a separate building). The Hardware store itself would have a good rating. I purchased a $750 chain saw in the morning. When I brought it back that afternoon for help in starting it, the man who had sold it to me was very unprofessional, with a complete lack of people skills. He got angry and contradicted me, claiming to know everything since he'd been to Stihl "school". But he was wrong. Stihl's own directions for breaking in a new saw contradict what he said. Where do they find these people? I hope I don't ever have to go back there again. read more

Love all the fear mongered haters that refuse to shop here because they don't wear masks, turn off CNN, get a clue and then shop local. This ACE is amazing, all the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They go out of their way to make sure you find what you need and that it's actually what you need. I will no longer be giving this company any business which is disappointing because they were one of my favorite stores. They are not requiring employees or customers to wear masks. As someone I find it disgusting that they care so little about the health and safety of their customers. I am hesitant to go back to this store until the pandemic has gone. Went there yesterday - NO employee was wearing a mask, and out of the ten or so customers in the store, I was the only customer wearing a mask. This is horribly irresponsible on the part of this store. I will simply drive to Lowe's from now on where the employees do wear masks and the customers (for the most part) wear masks. I love to support my local businesses, but not this one for now. So sad. read more

This Store is a gem. All the employees are very helpful and knowledgeable. They really make you feel welcome and at home. They seem to have an answer for every project or repair dealing with your home. If they don't know, they know where to go. I could kill an hour in their store and not even realize it. I would much rather give them my business than Walmart even if at times they are a few cents more. read more

My husband went in to get something he needed for our lawn mower he had to ask them to help him. they just told him oh it's over there on the Shelf, so he asked again " would you help me " he had to literally ask for somebody to help and they were not pleasant when they did it and this is not the first time that you get unpleasantries at this location. Because there's no other places around they think they can treat anybody rude and we live on the island so it's not like we're vacationers that come and go. Great hardware store with great staff. Its small but has everything you didnt know you needed.

This place is really hit or miss (more often miss). I've been in here several times and felt like my presence there was inconveniencing the staff. I have been here 5 or 6 times because it is the closest hardware store to my house and we are in the middle of renovations but most of the time I'd rather make the 25 min drive to Home Depot. I'm giving it two stars because one of those times I went in, a young girl assisted me who was very helpful and friendly but every other time the customer service was average to bad. One time I was waiting in line to check out and I was in a bit of a hurry because I was in the middle of painting. The sales clerk just stood there and continued her personal conversation with another customer as if I didn't even exist. Another time I was greeted with "what's up", then the sales associate immediately turned back around and continued her conversation with her coworker. On top of it all their prices are quite a bit higher than other hardware stores as well. The spray paint that I needed costs $1.50 more per can here than it did at Home Depot. read more

A great Hardware that needs a little defending! Ive lived out Gulf Beach hwy. all my life and shopped Innerarity hardware for years. The young ladies that are employed by the hardware are just that, young ladies not building contractors. Many times checkout is held up by someone wanting to remodel or repair their condo with zero knowledge of how to complete the task. This happens when someone takes on a task they know nothing about and they dont have a competent licensed person performing the work. Ok, I can hear it now " contractors cost money!" Yes and with that you get licensed experienced help. I dont really see where a person saves a dime hiring unlicensed workers because when you have the same job performed 3 times the cost goes up. I cringe when I'm in line behind a condo maintenance worker wanting to know what size wire to use on a sizeable project. A lot of difference between a home maintenance worker and a licensed hvac person! read more

I've been shopping here off-and-on for several years. I used to live in Innerarity Point, and went there all the time. My elderly father lives 2 blocks from this store, so I used to go there to get supplies to fix his stuff too. Now, I bought a house about a mile from this store and have been going there a LOT recently. It is ALWAYS a pleasant experience. I'd say their prices are about 5% higher than Lowes or Home Depot--which to be running a small business that's not a big-box chain store, isn't bad! When you need a few things for a project and don't want to waste the gas to drive all the way to Fairfield Drive to Lowes or H.D. this is your place! I swear this store has EVERYTHING you could ever want! If you ask for it, it's in there somewhere and one of the employees will walk you right to it, pull it out for you, and explain it to you if necessary. Things I've bought there, that I DIDN'T expect they'd have on-hand: Snake Repellant Pellets Steel (sleeping) bed rail clamps Lumber 8' pieces of PVC pipe PROFESSIONAL Strength A.C. Coil Cleaner Sod (Pallets of it!) Folding closet door hardware Sprinkler System repair parts Custom color-mixed paint etc., etc., etc... The only "negative" things I could say is this: watch the prices on the shelf labels vs. the price the register rings-up. Sometimes they're different. Also, they don't give a military discount. :( THIS PLACE FEELS LIKE AN OLD-FASHIONED SMALL, HOMETOWN HARDWARE STORE.
