Beware dont buy appliances at Lowes I had the most horrible experience paid for a new refrigerator...they sold me the floor model and did not tell me tell I got the refrigerator floor model or as they said dummy model didnt relieze this tell i saw the paper work and it said floor model started taking it apart to clean it it was nasty dirty behind all the drawers .it was delivered on a Sunday the delivery was the most horrible experience ever the guy refused to connect the water line told my husband to do it himself we were told after we purchased a new line the delivery guy would do the install unless there was a copper fitting which there was not ...the delivery driver left my house swearing in Spanish at his Co worker calling my husband all kinds of nasty names now im stuck with a refrigerator thats not hooked up to the water line I have 48 hours to return it but I have to work during the week they keep giving g me a window from 7am -7pm I told them I have to work they said they would ask if I could get evening delivery to be picked up ...but they keep giving me the morning 4 hour window they call late in the evening or text the night before for the time they give you Lowes is the worst customer service ever read more

The Landing Lowe's makes me really appreciate having lots of Lowe's and Home Depots in the Seattle Metro area. I will often go to the Issaquah Lowe's if I need to do something that requires talking to a person. Their staff is ample and friendly and knowledgeable where here at the landing (which is way closer to me than Issaquah) it is hard to find someone and when you do you need to badger them to help you. Also they require you to BUY WOOD before they will cut it to size for you. What's the deal with that? I have to lug a bunch of plywood to the front of the store for you to then cut it to size for me after I lug it back to the cutting station at the opposite end of the store from where the checkout counter is. That's crazy. Don't do that, I don't do anything lumber related that isn't just buying 2x4's from Renton Lowe's anymore. Any Home Depot & Issaquah Lowe's are getting all of my business that requires more than just my own hands and the self checkout. People that I do interact with when I'm walking in or doing the self checkout are pleasant. And there's a guy there that works behind the paint desk, and he's very nice. Oh and they have good bathrooms. Very convenient because sizzle dog is right there and sometimes during lunch ya gotta run in to make a quick deposit mid hotdog ya know. read more

Everyone in uniform or talking in crowds in red vests either wasn't working that day or not in the clock or was too busy on their phones 6 people in uniform walked past me at self checkout and none of them could help me then the one lady that did help me with my issue messed up her code on the machine and then out loud said "oh well" and walked away. I asked one of the 6 people heading to the break room if they could help me with my issue and they either ignored me or said they can't and shrugged and continued on their way. read more

An employee helped us choose one that was just perfect for our needs and budget (sorry, did not get his name!) Than on to the garden section. Got lots of help and was checked out in the garden seciton by Michelle.. she was so nice, kind, helpful and pleasant. Loved her! I was given a piece of paper to rate her on her service, but it wanted me to scan athe QR code.. sorry I dont have a smart phone, and my desk top computer wont scan one. Today after over 20+ years of doing business with Lowe's at the Landing in Renton WA I received the worst service imaginable. The manager named Flower was short, condescending, and quoted company policy as an excuse to deny a return of a $79 facet that's leaking after my contractor installed it in April 2025. I purchased another facet for $186 today as my final purchase ever from Lowe's. read more

I waited to write this. Several months ago, we were in need of interior doors. We sought out Lowes even though we were told by our main contractor, "Well, I wouldn't have done that, but just keep an eye on them." More about that in a minute. Lowes hires out installers to do the work. Don't go that way! It's a waste of your time and money! Here's a list of what happened: They were very late getting to the job. No phone call. When he did show up, he asked if he could come back on the following Monday. He installed two doors incorrectly. They didn't even shut. He signed off on the project as, "completed." The "supervisor" came to our house to see what had happened. He agreed, the doors were hung incorrectly. We waited another week or so for the next guy to show up. He did and fixed to fit and shut. The molding looked like it was chewed at the base by a pack of wolves. They were not flush to the floor. Large gaps between the floor and the molding. No one responded other than one of their people coming out to fill 1" gaps with putty. That's why you pay money? Filler? This is after they promised to come out with new molding. This project, countless phone calls to Lowes and installers took months and they still look like a monkey could have done it for bananas, and done it better. Reputable contractors: Contractors work with you, the consumer. Their reputation depends on their ability to do good work. Many like good reviews and repeat customers. Bigger companies like the one we worked with are hiring anyone, and those installers are not working for you, they're working for the install company, so if you don't like their work, it's taken out on the install company. I'm here to call out Lowes, the install company and the people who want the money and don't care about the job. This is why I'm writing this. Need a door? Call a contractor. read more

Went yesterday to get potting supplies for my fruit trees. I'm a frequent Lowe's customer (I LOVE gardening) but am new to the area so it was our first time at this location. Me and my husband were the only minorities shopping and were immediately racially profiled. I was followed closely by an older white female employee the entire time I was trying to shop, as if I could steal the two GIANT clay pots and two BIG bags of potting soil in my cart that I visibly could barely push. (I'm newly postpartum with complications) Kept staring me down the entire time (dirty look) and was not subtle about her literally following me everywhere. (right behind me every time I moved) It was embarrassing and belittling, especially since it was my first major outing since delivering because PP has been so rough. We ended up ended our shopping way earlier than we wanted to because I felt so uncomfortable and it was obvious she was profiling us. Definitely won't be coming back to this location. I deserve to shop somewhere that doesn't single me out based on my skin color. read more

It was a horrible experience. I came here on March 3rd to return an order that I purchased online on December 27th. It says clearly in one of the items that the return is ok before March 27th. The other item was a bit confusing because on the website it says 2 contradicting things, it says not eligible for return and in green below it says return before March 26th (see the screenshot) !! Then I came to know here in the store that the return policy is 48 hours !! WHAT?? With all this mess in website and return policy, those were not the only 2 problems, actually the biggest problem is when I came to this store in Renton, although the CS lady and her direct boss were very helpful and tried to give me an exception because they saw it still in the packaging and they opened it themselves, the problem was they needed help from a higher level manager who was in her lunch break and when they called her and told her about the story, she just responded on the phone "tell the customer no" !! So I was like, aughh, guys I'm a frequent customer and even now I came here to pick up an order of $200 +. I need to be treated differently, so I asked to meet that manager. It looks like that was my mistake because I interrupted her lunch break and had her come and meet her customer who is supposedly paying her salary. She came with a clear intention not to get it done. I explained to her the confusion and showed her the website conflicting messages and told her that I am a good customer to Lowe's, etc but no way to get any help from her, let alone her uncomfortable facial expressions she showed while talking to me. It's my first time ever to hear a store manager say that the system doesn't allow me to do it, she's funny !! I have been dealing with Home Depot as well for years and never faced any issues returning items after the return window and they were always helpful and willing to find a way out. I just wanted a new fridge they forced me to contact whirlpool and now i have to wait a month+ to have a repairman come. It still hasn't been resolved. I just got back from Lowe's, in search of a new dishwasher. I have to give credit where it's due, from Frank. He is the man. He was very helpful, pleasant, personable and such an asset to Lowe's. Give the man a raise and a promotion already! He was really knowledgeable in the appliances that we had questions on, I didn't sense any upsell. If you know what you are needing and where to find it, it's a great store. Lots of parking, and it seems like they are well stocked. If you need help or advice with anything, I suggest you do your research online before coming in as you probably won't get much reliable support. I came in looking for a dishwasher with specific functions and was told that only the 2 most expensive ones had what I wanted. Luckily, my gut told me to double check so I went to each machine looking for what I wanted and was able to find what I needed for half the price and it was even the same brand as the one suggested. Went to Lowe's in Renton, WA today and there was a loud hum that gave me a migraine. The cart I was using had a worn spot on one wheel so it was off-kilter and really loud. The selection of power strips, door hinges and crown molding were all terrible. Prices for wood shelving were high while selection was low. There were no cashiers available and the only option was self-check out. Due to the loud hum, I couldn't stay to look for everything on my list. The parking lot was full of bags of soil and concrete blocks. Looks like they are spending way too much on the wrong stock. I won't be going back there! read more

When ordering an appliance online, the wrong items were automatically added to the cart as necessary. Google and verify extra parts yourself, this is one place that AI is not doing a good job. The delivery person came a week late and brought the incorrect parts. Next time I will go to a non-Renton store and will avoid shopping online for major items. Was here this morning at 10am for a mobile pickup. Not many customers inside the store. We decided to check out the store as it looks clean. I found a Halloween Stitch inflatable that I wanted to get so I asked a female employee to get it for me. She told me that inflatable has a hole in it and not for sale. But it doesn't look like there's any problem with it tho. I feel like the employee didn't want to sell it to me maybe she wants it for herself later? Then after wondering a little around the store, I decided to ask another person to help with it. She told me someone will come and help me retrieve it from the top shelf as employees are on lunch break. I waited for 40 minutes assuming lunch is 30minutes but no one show up at that area where I waited for help. There were many employees around (workers with red vest, office ppl coming in and out of the corner office by the garden entry but no one ask me if I needed help..so I waited for 45 minutes for nothing. Popped into this Lowes in the Renton Landing yesterday for some paint ideas for a wall in our primary bedroom. One thing I notice about any Lowes is how bright and clean and organized the stores are. We b-lined directly to the paint area and it was easy to find a swatch that caught my eye. Sherwin Williams Dovetail-a lovely mix of grey and beige. The young man at the paint counter was eager to assist and was supportive of blending a quart size in egg shell for me. Lowes has several self checkout stations and I honestly like them. It gives me an opportunity to play cashier for a minute. The Lowes associate was a sweet lady who wished us a happy new and healthy new year on the way out! I recommend this Lowes if you are in the Renton area. Also-there is a hot dog stand outside of it that always smells Amazing! read more

I ordered this dishwasher back in July, it was delivered in August. With the order, I also paid to have it installed by a Lowes. After the second attempt to install "it was not a standard install we will have to send someone else," I finally had a dishwasher, or so I thought. First wash, water on the floor, cannot use. I called back to Lowes and they scheduled the installers to come back out to look at it, (it's now it's the end of September) the next week (1st week in October) Lowes calls me and informs me the dishwasher is broken, I need to call LG to have it warrantied... Do not Call LG they are useless!! After several rounds with LG and several, "someone will call you back"... I run out of patience and I called back to Lowes and they leverage their connection to finally get an LG tech out. (I will say during this whole thing the people at Lowes help line have been at least kind). It is now December 5th. The LG tech comes out and says "Call LG give them this TCC#, they should complete the claim and should send a replacement dishwasher, since this one is cracked and cannot be repaired." I call LG and they tell me the issue is Lowes, as it appears it was damaged and they cannot help. Back to Lowes help line I go... Well, to the LG side of the Lowes help line I go... Guess what, they cannot find me, even though LG could and they transferred me to Lowes LG support. Lowes LG then transfers me back to Lowes customer support... Now it's near Christmas and all I can get from Lowes is we will reach out to the Renton, WA store and some one will get back to you with in 24 hours. (This is Dec 15th by the way) Wait for it.... (take your seat this will shock you) Nobody gets back to me... I too was shocked.. I call after Christmas and they again leave a message with the store.. I follow up with an email on12/26 and 12/30... It is now Jan 6th and after several more calls I finally get an email back. Here's what it said, "LG Tech listed the damage to the tub as "installer/shipping" damage and it is not covered by warranty... I also see notes from the site visit and they said that it was a manufacturing defect. With neither the manufacturer nor the install owning the damage on the unit, I had to escalate this to senior management... They have approved Lowes to replace the unit with the caveat that you will have to purchase new labor for the install of the replacement unit... installation warranty does not cover a reinstallation unless it is due to installer error. I have a saved estimate for you with the same dishwasher at "no cost to you." So I call back and guess what? A dishwasher, that I paid for, with Lowes install, which never worked due to damage, not cause by me... will now be "no cost to me" (I already paid over $800.00 for it once and it did not work) all I have to do is pay to have it installed... AGAIN (Cause I have and extra 239.00 just laying around). THANK YOU SO MUCH LOWES. What a deal.. I get a dishwasher, that I paid for and I get to pay for another instal. You are the best. This is probably the worst Lowe's that I've been to. Their customer service is not knowledgeable and most aren't that friendly. I come here mostly for the garden center, but I have yet to purchase anything because most of the plants are not well taken care of. A lot of them are dying, some I would say are even completely dead and beyond saving and yet they are still on display. It really brings down the shopping experience to see so many dry, brown plants. This may be an OK place to shop for home improvement items if you are absolutely sure that nothing will go wrong. But don't expect to get much help from the people working here if you come across an issue. read more

Overall, we like Lowe's. It is their appliance department and third party delivery company that is failing. Our fridge went out. We bought the new one and was able to get delivery two days later. We needed them to change the doors around, being assured that the delivery guys could do that. Well, they didn't and we are still waiting, 5 days later, for them to show up and fix it. Went to self checkout and I was asked to check out with an associate. Wouldn't have made sense, as someone was already in line and I would have had to walk out of self checkout to then wait to be checked out. I asked if I could just do self check out and then the clerk proceeded to take the items out of my hand and check them out for me. I have a feeling why but won't say. Whole experience made me really uncomfortable and weird. read more

I can officially say that this Lowe's store based on a few experiences needs to improve by doing the following but if you shop at any Lowe's also beware of these cases as well: 1. A much better inspection of the return items before restocking. I had a situation where an electric lawn mower I purchased online and picked up at the store did not have the battery inside. My suspicion is that someone bought this, intentionally kept the battery knowing this store does a lousy return inspection and Lowe's taped it back up and restocked it. Weeks later I bought an electric chainsaw online and picked it up at this store. I get home, open up the box and someone before me clearly tried filling it with lubricating oil (this particular chainsaw does not include oil) and in the process of filling it, must have dropped it and cracked the bottom and returned it. Lowe's being Lowe's accepted the return without a thorough inspection, taped it back up and put it on the shelf. I returned it, asked for an exchange. I'm going to skip the other details and return to it but I opened another box and lo and behold, the scabbard is broken, so I cancelled the order since this time I opened it at the pick-up counter. I wait a few days, order the same chainsaw at the same store and guess what? It's the same one! This is epic because I pointed out the chainsaw had a broken part and it still got restocked. So my biggest advice is to open up ANY power tool item in store and inspect it because it could very well be a return-restock-broken item. This has happened at this store and the other Lowe's in Tukwila. 2. The return policies are inconsistent, inexplicit and irritating. If you buy any order online, go home and open it up that same day and find out you need to return it because it's broken, you cannot return it until the next day. Lowe's has some hidden policy that the employees mention but seems to not exist in writing when requested. At any rate, the reason for this is the online ordering system does not sync up with their point-of-sale system or some system until after midnight so although you picked up the order, it does not exist on the sales side to do a return. Of note, that was not the case for my lawn mower when I asked for an exchange and that was all done in one day, so I don't understand the inconsistency. 3. Their inventory system is not accurate. Lets say you go to their website, see the item you want is in stock and place an order. Well, it is possible your item actually isn't in stock so what they do is transfer your order to a neighboring Lowe's that has the item, the store calls you about the situation and you could pick up the item or decide not to and it auto-cancels. I appreciate that my customer service experience at Lowe's has been a lot more positive than at Home Depot but my similar online ordering experiences with Home Depot were not this bad. read more

Let's talk about appliance warranty. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Here are the facts. I bought a Whirlpool washer and dryer from Lowe's in May 2022. I bought extended warranty. I came home from family vacation on 4/12/24 with multiple suitcases of dirty laundry. Washer no longer working. Put in claim for warranty service. R&A Care Appliance Service assigned to my case. Came to look at washer on 4/16/24. Ordered parts. Two weeks later still no parts and still no working washer. Was told that because it's warranty work it is not priority. Called a different appliance company that said it is unable to be fixed and needs to be replaced. read more

Completed order, paid for it, and received confirmation for next day delivery with a delivery window. Wife took day off to receive delivery of the washer. I get home late afternoon and washer has not been delivered - it's about 2 hours before the end of the delivery window Lowe's had given us. OK, not really a big deal, still have couple of hours. I login and check delivery status just to verify I didn't misread something. I confirmed delivery date and window was correct. Wait another hour and check delivery status online again and now status shows "delayed." What the heck? End of delivery window comes and goes. Check status, still "delayed." No email or phone call. I go to their website and talk to their dumb chatbot that clearly did not resolve my issue. It referred me to their customer service line which was already closed. Gee thanks. Wife calls the local Lowe's, the Renton Landing Store because when I ordered the washer, it showed it was in stock at this location, and after speaking with couple of people and being on hold for a bit, is told the washer's pedestal was not in stock and would have to be ordered from another store. She did not receive a delivery date. I was prepared to wait for delivery of the washer but it is Lowe's that offered next day delivery and made no mention of any out-of-stock items. Based on this, wife took a day off work and then did not receive a courtesy email or phone call as soon as they noticed an issue with the order. This is very poor customer service. What, if any, remedy are they going to offer us for this inconvenience? I will go to my local Home Depot, which is closer to us, the next time. read more

Not the worst Lowe's we've visited but not the best either. Pretty much the entire staffs' team ignore our needs and some of the shoppers are being rude or disrespectful towards others as well. Couple of years ago Lowe's use to doing great jobs helping customers solve their concerns. But somehow Covid-19 shows how disorganized it has become. Came here looking for a ceiling fan to cool down under scorching heat, half of the shelves were mixed, unwrapped or tampered by shoppers or employees, lots of items were relocated from the original aisle which made us inconvenient. Even saw a kid sitting on roller blades playing/ bending it and the noisy parent just laughing like a clown try to be sensational in public. Uneducated. I was here at 7:00 pm. Left at 7:47 pm on Monday. I had a client to take care of. Her water supply line was short and 3/8 com fitting with a 1/2 inch lmp. Just finished installing 10 towels bars delta, 40 outlets and switching switches to wall chargers and battery powered. 10 ceiling fans. Here I am with the 2nd to last assigned job with my favorite: PLUMBIN!! It is my favorite. 'My mind chatter started getting LOUDER! Losing it here! LOL' I purchase two supply lines. But needed an extension. Here I am running on 2 hour of sleep. Got up to live my passion from 7am- 4am she was the 2nd to last job I had. I had to make it good for myself no looking back!
