Came here to get materials for a job. Nothing too crazy but they didn't have most of what I was looking for. Not the first time this has happened at this location. Theit suggestion was I should drive 20 minutes or more North to the next Lowe's location in Aliso Viejo and cross my fingers and hope that they have the materials. So we're looking at a minimum of 40 minutes drive time and another half an hour or more dealing with people there to find out whether or not they actually have the materials. What a nightmare! Three months in and we still do not have the three windows we ordered. We went in person to inquire about option and price to replace the broken side-light of our front door (lacrosse ball). Placed the order at the end of Sept. with hopes that windows will be replaced by Thanksgiving since we are hosting the rest of the family this year. Christmas came and gone. New year came and gone and we still do not have the windows. We had to call Lowes to get update. They don't call you. Ex. We called them to get an update as to if the windows have arrived at their warehouse (their policy is they wait until the windows arrive at their warehouse then they notify the installers who would then contact us to schedule the installation]. read more

I recently bought a defective power tool at Lowes. Unfortunately, I didn't fully research this tool and its known defect until after it malfunctioned on first use. (Lowes never has anyone in its power tools section to offer advice so I took a chance and got burned.) To make matters much worse, customer service agent, Tomi, expressed serious attitude when I tried to return it. The manager wasn't much help either but at least his demeanor was respectful. After spending $10-15K at Lowes on various projects the past two years, I'll be driving up to Mission Viejo's Home Depot for future projects. Their prices are usually better anyway. read more

She didn't have access in her system to assist, but without hesitation grabbed the phone and called the main Lowes group to see what was going on (as the tracking number didn't work). Do not get kitchen or bathroom cabinets here . Do not let Isabel do any ordering for you. Mistakes in measurements and placement of sink etc etc. very poor listener...your precious new bathroom or kitchen will not be as you want it. The installing cabinet workers did not unpack boxes with me or check measurements. The sink cabinets are not centered over the plumbing. The drawers requested to be 12 inches are 8 inches. Isabel is not a designer as her so called title states. Why would a vanity drawer be only one inch deep ? I am so angry that I trusted these people. They ask you to pay all up front before the work is even started. No one opened boxes and checked measurements with me before installing. The installers left without telling me. Poor service-ordered hardwood flooring - when my contractor tried to pick up the material they told him it was discontinued! I called back and spoke to someone else who told me it was not discontinued and she's not sure why I was told that. Then they quoted me for the glue and turns out the material didnt even need glue!!! I will never purchase an appliance from Lowe's again! This place is so disorganized and does not care about the customer. I am a patient and reasonable person, but after today, I am done with using Lowe's. Here's what happened to my husband and I: My husband and I purchased a washer and dryer on Labor Day and the entire customer service experience from Sept 8, 2017 until today, Sept. 29, 2017 had been an absolute disaster! 1)First the appliance rep who helped us get a Lowe's card and purchase the washer and dryer did not know the product and information about the product, nor was he properly informed of what parts would be needed for installation..2) Then when he entered my husband's name to get a Lowe's credit card, he entered my husband's first and middle name. At the register, we discovered this error, but the system could not change his name.This process took a few hours in the store 3.)We waited for a call prior to delivery ,but it never came. The delivery driver just showed up the next day. Luckily, we were home. 4.) The appliance rep. did not know to include a "stacking kit" for the stackable washer/dryer we purchased, so the delivery person had to leave.5) We waited again for a phone call for a new delivery date with the stacking kit, but no call. 6) The delivery truck just showed up again and the dryer had a scratch on the front door, so we had to place and order for a new one. 7) We waited again for for a call prior to the delivery of a new dryer, and that call never came. 8.) The delivery guys finally showed up and again, While the delivery person was in a rush, he unhooked our washer and then attempted to stack the new dryer, but again, there was a scratch on the new dryer. 9) When I went to wash clothes the next day, and an error code get showing up. Apparently, the delivery man did not re-hook up our water connection correctly. 10) For 5 days, I could not do any laundry. I now have mildewy towels and am running out of clothes. 11) The third delivery attempt is botched again on a work day due to a truck breaking down and several calls from Lowes saying that they don't have an eta. An entire work day is wasted waiting around for this place to figure out how to get my water lined hooked back up correctly. 12) Now, they think it will take several weeks for a new appliance delivery and my husband & I will have to go thru this ridiculously painful process again. I am quite sure of it. I have called managers, assistant managers and finally, today, at 3:30 pm, I still do not know what is going on.... read more

Associates are generally friendly and helpful. I was approached no less than 3 times on Sunday in different departments. The selection is okay, not always great. I couldn't find Comet cleaner or a wastebasket for the bathroom with a lid, but I did find some great deals on Mexican Heather out in garden. Considering that there are no other big box home improvement stores nearby, you will probably find what you need here. During the summer, there is almost always a Marine fundraising carwash in the parking lot. read more

I've been going here for years and it has been a love-hate relationship - good selection, but hard to get help, among other things. However, my experience today renewed my faith in the Lowe's organization. We purchased a patio set from Lowe's in '04 that has not aged well, to put it diplomatically. It had a ten year warranty, but the manufacturer went belly up (likely due to recurring problems of this sort) and the brand-name of the set referred me to Lowe's. In response, the general manager reviewed my information and came up with a solution that more than made up for the product defect and resulting years of dissatisfaction. Do Not Shop Here for Appliances!! No one will help you!!! I was looking to buy a washer, dryer and refrigerator. Walked around for 30 minutes and no one acknowledged me. I asked two ladies chatting away if one of them was available to answer some questions and they passed me off to "Matt." I could tell right away Matt was irritated at this. I asked him for some dimensions on a $3800 refrigerator and you could immediately tell he was put off by this. Went straight to customer service to see if I could get someone else to help me. After waiting another 15 minutes the lady here said Summer the store mgr would help me but she was on the phone. Then Matt came up and rudely confronted me. I did not acknowledge him and asked if Summer was coming out. Was then passed to another gentlemen and as we walked back to appliances I started rattling off questions, only to get all the way there and have him tell me he "doesn't know anything about appliances!" Then he just walked off! I went back to customer service and told the lady to "let Summer know what happened and I will go somewhere else to spend my money." Mark Major in Appliances is our hero! We bought a fridge from Sears just two years ago, blew up, no warranty. Went to Lowes and bought a Whirlpool and it started blowing up within the first month. Try loading your frdig with ice each day to keep your food from spoiling. We didn't buy a warranty with the first frig, the second one we did. So we called them BEFORE we called Lowes...3 times later it's still broken and waiting for parts. I called Lowes in San Clemente and Mark really was concerned and he is having a new fridge (not a Whirlpool) delivered tomorrow! Look up Mark when you are down there and high five him! He's the BEST! Best customer service ever. First we went to the Aliso Viejo store which is closer to our home. BIG MISTAKE. We couldn't get them to take our money.... Frustrated, we finally went home and the next day we drove to San Clemente and everything was great. We spent almost $4,000 and they bent over backwards to help us. BEWARE!!! Most incompetent highly stressful absolutely frustrating appliance buying experience We ever had. I can't even begin to describe the level of dissatisfaction of service specially on their delivery side. Bought 3 appliances (Washer, Dryer, Range) on a Tuesday and had it scheduled for delivery on a Saturday. We received a call on Friday confirming delivery the next day. We waited.....and waited. Nothing. So I finally called, only to be told by the store that the delivery was actually cancelled because the washer didn't arrive yet! And no one bothered to let us know! We are from out of town and we were getting this apartment ready for rental!! Washer won't arrive until the following Monday and store will call me when it arrives and schedule another delivery. No call, Tuesday I call, oh yes they received it, oops, so now all three appliances can be delivered. Confirmed all three are to be delivered. Scheduled again for Thursday. Received confirmation all three appliances will be delivered. Truck comes and delivery people only have two appliances!!! Washer and Range! Where is the dryer??? Apparently according to the store sold to someone else and now the dryer is on back order!!! Unf*******believable!!! read more

This is the letter I sent to the cooperate office.......you make up you mind....I will only going to Denaults! I will NEVER shop at your store (San Clemente) or any other Lowes! I ordered a Refrigerator It was to be delivered on the 21st. The men who brought it said they could not move the old one out....that it would need to be lifted over the counter. Then I was told they would be back on Monday (today) the 25th and they would bring an extra couple of men to get the old one out. Ahhhh... to my surprise your store canceled the order, refunded the money to my charge card. Really? But... they did call me today to let me know they did this. I went to your store and re-bought the fridge. and then I was told I would need to hire my own people to remove my old fridge....thank you so much. which I did and two men were able to remove the old fridge WITHOUT carrying it over the counter! They just took off the doors and gee, it was out. REALLY.... I am out the money and you all made the mistake then excused it with a simple "we're sorry!" NOW... the delivery people call with a recording to deliver tomorrow, Tuesday the 26th. I can press 1 to confirm or 2 to talk with a rep. I choose to talk to a rep and I am number 40 in line on hold. 30, 27 22 19 and all they way down to #1 when I am cut off! I call your store... at 8:31 and a recording tells me the store is closed....i sit and stare at my phone in completed utter shock when it suddenly tells me it is transferring my call.... ah ha! I ask to speak to the manager...I think Randy. Nice guy and all but to make me feel more confident the he can not find my name in the computer but finally we find me and then.... " if it is not there by 11 please call Brittney and she will reschedule! ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Now... let me step back a few months and tell you that I ordered carpet from this store in March and did not receive it until JULY! It was one small bedroom of carpet! I am done.... well not completely.... the Ice maker for the fridge I bought twice did not yet come in.... so in five or six months when it does come in I certainly hope they can lift it over the counter!!! read more

Superb service by JAMES and LISA of your department, who labored to get the can open (a struggle, but they did it!), mixed and matched it with new paint. The Appliance department continued to deliver both the washer and dryer that I ordered, I spoke to several different store managers that were of NO help whatsoever. Lowe's contracted delivery company is also substandard and rude. I have hardwood floors, the drivers damaged them by sliding the appliances into the laundry area, and damaged the doors in the laundry area as well as the outside door. I asked, again nicely, if he could get someone else to show us locks...he said "no".. Went to Customer Service asked for Store Managers help..he didn't give a s*** either.. I've had hits and misses with the San Clemente Lowes. The staff and generally not very knowledgeable and it seems like every time I've needed help cutting chain, hose, rope, or whatever, there is no one to be found and I end up wandering around the store looking for someone to help, only to be told there should be someone else in the area that can help. They do have quite a bit in stock and will have great sales on power tools, so if you know what you want or are impulse shopping you can score some good deals. On the positive side, they recently took back a defective washer and dryer that I purchased from them, although it was out of the store warranty period. This was after a long fight with the aftermarket extended warranty company due to the washer intermittently not working and having multiple water leaks that caused water damage to my home. But, I had to call and visit Lowes multiple times, deal with their phones being "out of order," wait to talk to the store manager who was always "in a meeting" or at lunch. I will give them kudos for standing being their merchandise (when forced to). read more

I needed a product that was not on the shelf in a common color, so I asked a nearby salesman if I could order it. He said 'Not my department'. When I found an elderly man who claimed that department, he was absolutely distressed by my request. 'O I don't think we do that! I don't know, but I don't think so!' I asked him to consult with someone, and yet another bumbling Hmmm Geeee I'm not sure..... guy appeared, to join in staring helplessly at me. Twice I have asked for help in reaching product stored high on shelves, only to have an employee go off to fetch a ladder and simply never return. I'm owner/contractor on a home improvement project. Reason I'm mentioning this is because I spend a lot of time going to home improvement stores. This Lowes is the worst, time and time again! Surprisingly as a female, I'm still ignored here. This location must have the most unhappy workers that seemed forced to be here. Never mind their complete lack of knowledge. They seem inconvenienced to help. When I finally get someone, they point down the isle and wish me good luck finding what I'm looking for. Only after having the same experience over and over I just thought my opinion must represent so many others who may have thought their lack of help was a onetime experience. It's not. It's every time I'm here. Its not one employee it's just about all of them! It's the only home improvement store for miles so I'm forced to shop here as are many others in our area. The store only remains open out of necessity to the community. However their untrained, unhappy employees are forcing people to go elsewhere. Lowes, I suggest you take this seriously. Do something! Train your employees to ask if we need help, walk us to the item, check with us if that's what we are looking for, ask if we need anything else. This is my last time shopping here. I have used Lowes for several years and have done many remodel projects using Lowes employees for direction and Lowes products. HOWEVER, I just had cabinets made Lowes cabinetry from SHENANDOAH Cabinets and after 3 weeks went to see the final installed product at my rental property and found that the DOMINION NATURAL MAPLE COLOR THAT I HAD ORDERED AND THAT WAS RECOMMENDED BY THE SALES GIRL, WAS ACTUALLY A "BRIGHT SHADE OF "PINK". I immediately complained to Lowes and Shenandoah who arranged to meet me at the property. Was told that this color is natural to their product and that EVENTUALLY they should change from PINK TO MORE OF A YELLOW OR MAPLE COLOR, but could not give me any time frame that this would occur - But...said the display cabinets in the store were the same color, but were installed 6 years ago. They would not do anything - Wouldn't even change out the doors or drawers. The only thing I was told when ordering was that they might be LIGHTER initially, but would darken in time.....NO MENTION EVER OF BEING PINK INITIALLY! Had to re-order a different light tile that wouldn't clash with pink. NO CREDIT GIVEN FROM LOWES OR SHENANDOAH - Was told I could re-order, wait another 3 weeks, and would have to pay the full amount once more. I will never consider using Lowes for remodeling again after this experience, and really blame the sales person for not disclosing that this would happen since she had put through 150 orders this year alone of the same color and had only 2 complaints! This tells me that not all of their clients received this inferior color. She also had her own cabinets put in her own bathroom and was shocked when they were delivered "pink" in color. Also had problems with faulty installation, but have been told that they will order the correct parts and correct these problems as soon as possible. read more

March 2, 2018 I finally received that phone call from San Clemente Lowe's that was suppose to happen around February 14, 2018 so I originally spoke with Hugo who said, "he would give me the missing case and scrench and asked what time I would be in?" I first said 1:00 O'clock Hugo said, "I should be back from lunch then." So I said, "is 2 O'clock better for you?" Hugo agreed on 2 O'clock. I showed up at 2 O'clock went to customer service waited in line a few seconds, then spoke up, I told the Customer Service Representative I was here to meet with Store Manager Hugo. She Immediately got on the phone called his office then paged him, a few minutes passed then she was informed that Hugo was at lunch. I raved a bit because we agreed to meet at 2 O'clock. I was then told they would page a manager. Then I ranted some more on how I was told that the Senior Store Management Team was supposed to have already been informed of my situation and were going to resolve my issues. I asked them to page me when the manager arrived I wanted to see something in the store. I proceeded to the chainsaw isle and was immediately paged. Now Randy asked my name and greeted me. Made a phone call to Hugo to see what was going on, listened to all I had to say, them went to find my case and scrench. I asked Randy to look at the Chainsaw isle which was still in disarray I showed Randy the PR4218 in the spot where the PR4016 belonged and the price it reflected $139.00. we talked about misrepresentation he took down the signage because he didn't know he had the correct item in stock. I showed him the correct item and as I was leaving I heard him ask someone to put the correct item with the correct signage. I asked if Randy wanted to throw in a 1 Gallon Gas can to make me super happy after all I have been through Randy said, "Sure." and I left the San Clemente Lowe's as happy as can be. I went here the other night to buy a new refrigerator when I awoke to find my old one had gone to fridge heaven and let all my beer get warm after years of faithful service. I had checked online to make sure they had something in stock that would work for me, so all I really needed to do was get someone to ring it up and arrange for delivery. I was able to that but it took longer than I expected. There was only one salesperson in the appliance section and he had two customers in front of me which might have gone faster if someone at another extension in the store hadn't kept calling him (about who knows what) even though he told them ( several times) that he was trying to assist customers. Once he was able to get to me he was able to get me squared away quickly and did a great job of explaining the delivery process. He did fine - and I'd have given another star if someone (it was the same extension, I could see that) had shown the same respect for the customers that he was trying to. read more

I bought a Whirlpool refrigerator in San Clemente Lowes. They sold me a 5 year warranty but when the ice maker broke 15 months later, Lowes did not stand behind the warranty. I paid $300 to get it fixed and submitted the claim to Lowes and after 6 weeks they are still reviewing it. Not only do they not care about their customers but they do not stand behind their 5 year warranties. Do Not Shop Here. read more
