Having gone to the Sherman Williams in SJC we were left to fend for ourselves other than the guy working behind the counter loaning us a pen and stapler. Legendary Staff: WOW! The guys here are truly amazing. I was helped by Zachary who is a young man with the customer service of a veteran. The moment I walked in he greeted me with a smile. He assisted me in locating the correct paint from a chip I brought in and on the selection of a couple of brushes. The entire time he was very friendly, sincere, knowledgeable, and an absolute pleasure to work with. Next Eric came out from break and we chatted briefly. He was also very friendly and another person who was a pleasure to work with. Quality/Quantity: This store is very spacious with tons of high quality products. It is neatly organized for easy shopping. Value: Pricing seems fair to me. Paint sample was $10. I also got a brush and a little pack of disposable rollers for another touch up with a total price of $15 for that. Overall: People sometimes ask me why I enjoy doing Yelp reviews. It is because of experiences like this. Hard working people like Zachary providing truly amazing service who deserve recognition. I can honestly say that if I could give them 6 stars I would. Of the 284 reviews I have completed, the service that Zachary provided, easily made for the top 3 best buying experiences ever. I really hope that management reads this and invests in him in preparation of future management. He has a special gift for customer service. I have found my new paint store for sure. This branch have no sense of customer "goodwill" at all! Very very dissapointed and sad when I asked them for help since I had just locked my keys and cell phone in my car, could they allow me to call the lock out tow truck. I was there to buy paint. They said they don't allow that. WHAT! Shocked that they refuse to help someone who needed help. The employee plus the branch manager just shrugged it off saying "they are just following protocol". I had a great experience at our local SW this week. I went in ready to buy a color called Knitting Needle. I was looking for a greige that didn't have strong blue under tones. I explained this to James, the sales guy and he was super helpful. He recommended Light French Gray instead. Against my better judgment instead of buying a sample I bought an entire gallon. Super glad I did. I love the color. I bought two cans of paint that day and James was nice enough to even carry them to my car for me. Great service! Thank you SW! read more

I do t know where to start honestly. I was insulted, gaslighted, bullied and asked to leave a store from the owner after his employee decided not to help. I came in a store to place an order with normal behavior and received a lot of stress and disappointment. Receiving a call from an owner who says get out of my store is never considered a professional act. For the record my behavior was not descriptive, threatening, under influence or danger to anyone. I came in to a store before going to church to pick up a paint for my job. In fact I had another customer behind me who wasn't also helped by some reason. My strong recommendation would be to avoid that store because the new owner Anthony and his team are not going to give you professional service with respect. Customer service with Matthew is incredible. Answers questions, doesn't over sell, provides paint tips. I have always used the most expensive Home Depot interior and exterior paints and it just doesn't last and is not durable. For now on I will only buy and use high quality paints and Sherwin Williams is now my paint store of choice. read more

Amazing experience! Everyone at the store is so extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and super friendly with tips and tricks on painting your home. I ended up using a color specialist provided by the store and it made the process much easier with home lighting surrounded by some of my favorite accessories to compliment a perfect paint color. Thank you to Eric, Deanna, Migdalia and the nice contractor Joseph who came home with me to see if I needed to prime before painting myself. It was our first time in a paint shop today at Sherwin on Cabot and My painter told me to go there to see what color we like. We grabbed some brochures and ask few questions to the salesman. he told us we could get some samples and see how they look on our wall but never said those samples would cost over $50. We were fine with the catalog we had but he talked us into getting some samples. anyways, i disagreed and he said I "committed to buy". well I was committed to get some samples, didnt know I had to buy samples. and he goes "nothing comes free in this life". Well, I respect your vision, but I wish you disclosed your customers that the samples come with a discounted rate, instead of scamming them. When we left the store, Matt (the black guy) followed us to our car and took a picture of my license plate :). what a sketchy store. After posting a review and some pictures of my experience using Sherwin-Williams Emerald paint, a Sherwin Williams representative contacted me and came to my house to rectify the situation. As expected, they came to my house and saw the disappointment in the results. My painter's experience as well as mine with this paint has been awful, so I asked for money back in which they refuted and would only agree to credit back since it was bought through my painter's account. What if i want a different paint? At the end of the day, they have my money and would rather throw several gallons of there "high quality" paint rather then refund me. So don't be fooled by the satisfaction guarantee on the can. With that said, it was better than nothing and a start. As for the paint results, the reason why my experience was bad was because it can only be applied with one particular roller and other applicators simply don't work well. To my understanding, top shelf paint should apply well with anything, which is why it is top shelf paint. I went to sample other paints and in that process I came across the Benjamin Moore Aura paint. When I asked how the paint should be applied, the sales rep responded by simply saying however you want. After I responded with a confused look on my face, he simply said when you buy a high quality paint like this you can apply it anyway you like, whether it be in a sprayer with a brush with a roller, doesn't matter because it's the best paint and the results will be consistent. That made a lot more sense to me then the SW Emerald requirements. I look for three things in a high quality paint: application process, coverage quality, ability to scrub and touch-up well. Low VOC is a state standard at this point. My consensus: I appreciate their response to my bad review and them coming to my house, they didn't have to. I was disappointed in the fact they would only refund me credit instead of cash. I partially blame myself for assuming that a $60 + gallon of paint would be good instead of sampling it myself. I've had much greater success with far cheaper paint which is why I assumed paint this expensive would be flawless. If you want flawless paint, I advise you go try out Benjamin Moore. As for customer service, they could have decided to leave me dry with my purchase and never come to my house. I would give them 5 Stars if they gave me money back, but they didn't and they still owe me. They just kept trying to push their crap product to me. I give SW EMERALD PAINT 0 STARS and that will never change until they cut that price in half or less or change its chemical make-up. Me personally, would never buy that water color paint even if it was sold to me for $15 a gallon. I have decent painting experience and have contacted pros with over 30 years experience and they won't touch this product. Many of them have turned down jobs when the client requests this paint. The only thing that stands out to me is the Super Paint and I've also used a couple decent stains, but overall, I personally think that their paint products are overpriced, but they still manage to push plenty of product (see my original review). Paint contractors might hate me for this review, but consumers who spend their hard-earned money will love me. read more

Came here to repaint our guest room project everyone was very helpful and their paint is really good quality. We painted our house in Benjamin Moore I wish I knew there was a Sherwin Williams so close by I would have come here instead for the rest of the house too. I'm really happy with their customer service, ordered over the phone and paint was ready right away, they have a color consultant program to help you pick colors as it can be overwhelming which I really appreciate. And even a color consultant who comes to your house and helps you pick the perfect colors for your home. As a designer even I appreciate this because picking paint is the hardest thing as paint color changes depending on lighting and everything else. read more
