I shop at this Lowes a lot... A Lot! I'm there at least once, sometimes three times a week for various home projects. In general, they leave a lot to be desired in the way of customer service and the store manager is not much help. But, I have encountered Andrew in the garden dept. several times recently and he is just a great person to work with. He always listens, he is committed to helping his customers and he is just so patient. When they call for help in Lawn and Garden he is always the one that shows up. He is so polite and has been so helpful, I'm unable to lift very heavy items and he helps me load and then unload into my car. He should teach all new hires about real customer service. I visited this store yesterday to find a holder for my flag pole. In the past visiting the store, I didn't have the best experience given associates would pass me by without offering assistance. Today while I was visiting, Devarion went out of his way to help me. The holders were located in the front of the store near the entrance but, I wasn't able to find them after asking two associates prior. Devarion took the time and escoreted me to the front of the store, far away from where he was working. After spending sometime looking, I decided to give up, but Devarion didn't. While I was standing in line to pay for something else I wanted to purchase, he approached me with the pole holder I was looking for after I had given up! Devarion was so professional and polite. I really appreciate this level of customer service and I was so unexpected. I truly hope Lowes acknowledges, and shows appreciation for employees that value customers, which is hard to come by these days. read more

Tried exchanging my klein tools screwdriver (which have lifetime warranty and have exchanged at other locations) and was told I was not allowed to. Very disrespectful managers informed me that "klein only had a 90-day warranty". This is the worst customer services that I have encountered. When I entered the store, there were two female associates standing there talking. I asked where we could find kitchen faucets. One finally said aisle 44. Neither of the associates offered to escort us to the faucets. Throughout the store, associates were paired up and had their private conversations going on. Not one associates asked if we needed help. When I finally found aisle 44, there were two elderly people looking at the display and trying to locate the faucet they had selected. Did management tell these people that they had to work and not pair up and engage in private conversations? There are people that want to work and are willing to work. read more

First time at this location as a five star shopping experience with Matt and Lesma. They went out of their way to make sure we found what we needed and even prolong going on their breaks to make sure my daughter and I found exactly what we needed. Matt helped us picked out the perfect fans and Ms. Lesma even offered to cook dumplin which I'm waiting for...LOL Great people at this location and I hope to see them when we come back. This place is awesome. I prefer lowes over hd for now and think their selection is excellent and prices are great. What sets these guys apart is their customer service. There is a team member named Gloria and she is absolutely amazing. I smile everytime I see her and am so blessed by her positive spirit. One of the better Lowe's for in store shopping but be very careful with home improvement project purchases. While the outside sales team can be cordial the one we had for a fence project was careless with the details that create issues with the install. The installation contractor was a local fence company that we could have saved money by contacting directly even though we would not use again due to the level of professionalism on this install. Sadly all Lowe's offered as resolution was an apology. They really seemed to only go through the motions for the entire process. read more

Short review: if this location is filling your online truck order, expect them to deliver only disappointment. Lowes, and the staff here, has worked very hard to communicate to me that my money is not wanted and my order is not going to be delivered. I have been trying to get a large load of landscaping material delivered from this location for over a month. The 'team' at this location has postponed my order and twice now simply failed to get it loaded on their subcontracted delivery truck. When I call I am 1) connected to Receiving where the phone rings a hundred times, someone may or may not pick up. That someone has invariably checked my order that is overdue and is mystified that their vendor hasn't pocked it up. Sometimes I am 2) connected to Customer Service. There I am either on hold for half an hour before the call disconnects, or someone picks up and listens to me, then tells me to hold while they check on my problem and then leaves my on hold for thirty minutes before the call disconnects. Lowes Corporate customer service has been similarly ineffective at resolving this. So now I just hope I can cancel my online order. read more

Purchased an item online before Halloween and tried to return it still in the original packaging after I spoke to their online customer support team and they sent me a code to return it in store. When returning it to the store they refused to allow me to return it and told me it's no returns after Halloween. The ghetto manager came up and said "nope it says on the sign that there's no returns" despite me buying it online so I wouldn't even see the sign. Jay Matthews is the store manager. He wears the title and that is where it ends. He lacks managerial experience as well as interpersonal skills. He is all that is wrong with big companies today. He is the example of what happens when "hire our neighbor or friend" goes completely wrong!This individual told his subordinates that he was at lunch and refused to assist with a managerial problem when no other managers were either at the store nor available. I waited almost an hour while he hid in his office and took his time to eat his lunch. Needless to say, my issue was left unresolved. Meanwhile, I waited 45 minutes for the callback from corporate, filed a complaint and was able to get my refund all while waiting for Jay to appear from his office, he never did.... Way to lead Jay! I have gladly reported your behavior to corporate headquarters and sincerely hope you are given much needed managerial training in the immediate future. read more

Picked up an Ego cordless lawn mower ($500) this morning. I bought a model with batteries and charger. When the box was brought out to my car it was partially open, and I asked the man, why? I was suspicious. He assured me it had come open while it was being handled to bring to the car. There was no battery in the box. I have been on hold at this point 18 minutes, being told by a rude woman to wait, twice. I guess I will end up driving over there again. I will put everything back in the car, just in case they don't come up with a battery, or have to 'order' one. ONLINE BUYERS BEWARE! Snellville GA location Placed an order online for a washing machine since it showed they had it in stock. Everyone else that sold it didn't have it available until that weekend, which is why I placed the order with Lowe's. I clicked Pick Up in Store and waited for my pick up email. Two hours later, still no email. Called the store and after going through the recorded messages FINALLY got an associate on the line. She was no help and said I would need to come into the store, or wait on the email. My husband went to the store and nobody could confirm he had even purchased anything until he showed them the email order confirmation. Now they started trying to find what they sold me. No luck. Told him a manager would come out to talk to him. Waited WAY to long, had to keep asking where the manager was....and finally she came out. Said it was out of stock. Wouldn't even attempt to make him happy - no replacement offered. He found a different one in the box on the floor and said he'd take that one - she said it wasn't available. He even kicked the box and felt that there was one inside of it. She said she didn't have ANYTHING available. She said that the only thing she could do would be to credit the card used and that would take up to 7 days. So now - no washing machine, my card is locked, and I can't buy one from someone else because the money won't go back on the card for 7 days! Sounds like a pretty good scam to me - buy from us so we can freeze your money so you can't live your life and be happy. THE PERFECT EARTH DAY DESTINATION! Today, I decided to stop by this Lowe's in order to pick up some plants. Apparently everyone else had the same idea because this place was very busy. They had a great selection of plants but I was looking for something simple and very low maintenance since I seem to be "late to the party". Since I did not find my traditional favorites (the sweet potato vine and the beautiful fuss-free wasabi), I decided that I would simply check my local store. This is your typical garden center with plenty of gardening supplies available. I want to give them a high-five for taking the time to thoroughly water their plants so that they looked lush and inviting. It's Earth Day, plant something beautiful and lasting. I didn't have any problems with this place. Upon entering I had workers that were asking me if I needed help to find a certain item. I told them what I needed. Instead of them telling me, they led me right to it. As far as returns is concerned, it's pretty quick. There's no problems with that because they move very quickly. Actually I bought my new kitchen sink from there. There's only ONE problem that I've encountered while being there. That was the fact as far as kitchen sinks are concerned, they have no open box displays. I was told that they were working on that. As long as you know the width and the depth of what you want to purchase, all of the sizes are on the boxes. read more

I am finally done thinking about my horrible from Start to finish experience purchasing 4 new kitchen appliances from Lowe's in Snellville. The only reason I gave them one star was because the cashier who helped us was polite. To start the nightmare they called us the day that our refrigerator was supposed to be delivered, hours after it was supposed to be delivered, to tell us that they actually did not have the one we wanted in stock. We had been without a refrigerator for several days so agreed to get the one that was on display. They said it would still take two days to deliver. Two days? Seriously? But what could I do. They gave me a window frame of something like 8-2 so I took the whole day off at work. 4 o'clock rolls around and still no refrigerator. It finally showed up around 7. Getting someone on the phone at Lowe's in Snellville is like shaking hands with an alien. Impossible!! The other three appliances showed up in separate trips. Can't really complain too much about those installs. But!! The stuff that we bought is crap. I do not recommend anyone to buy Samsung products from Lowe's. In addition, through all of this, a manager on duty that I finally got through to said that he was going to give us a $200 credit towards our purchase for all of our troubles. We never saw the credi. Shocker. I also emailed corporate and never heard back. I will never return to Lowe's. 3/6 And update with my experience at Lowe's. I had to call the Samsung warranty company to come look at my dishwasher, like I said does not work properly, and about my refrigerator. We set up an appointment. Again, I took the day off of work. Not only did they not show up, they did not call. It has almost become comical because it is honestly like what else did I expect from Lowe's? I live 21 miles from this store and have been calling for the last 2 hrs to try to determine whether a certain brand of tile has been restocked. Every time I was connected to the flooring dept, someone would eventually pick up and then immediately hang up on me. This went on from 4:40 until 6:30 on July 19th. I called over 40 times. Seriously??? If you hate your job that much, please quit and let a competent person have your job. I'll take my business elsewhere. Went to the store saw a clearance Samsung fridge, it was nice just a couple of scratches, even the sales associate stated so. So I bought it for 1700 something. I went there a second time my fridge is taken off the floor and one that was really beat up was in its place for 2000. Today when I got delivery, guess what? The really beat up fridge was delivered to me! Of course I declined it, it wasn't fridge I ordered. The sales manager Damien calls me few hours later asking what the problem. I told him you guys tried to do a switchero on me, find me that fridge that I ordered. I don't want your refund I want the fridge I ordered. He insists that there is no other fridge in the inventory. And I insisted that the fridge I ordered is not the one they delivered. I should've taken a picture of the fridge that I ordered. I didn't think this store was this scummy and low (pun intended). He goes ok why don't you come by the store tomorrow. I was like okay see you tomorrow. Then 10 minutes later he calls again, why would this dude call me again in such a short amount of time if I was going to see him tomorrow? Shady shit going on in this store! Watch out for SANTA CLAUS. Ultra-rude Kris Kringle clone who works in Lawn and Garden. Younger, knowledgeable employee was able to finally help me out without the sarcasm or bad attitude. Middle of the day visit on a Tuesday and was also unable to find any employees to help in either the outdoor power equipment or lighting. Otherwise a pretty clean store but how do they expect folks to return with smart mouthed employees who refuse to stop chatting with their truck driver friends to possibly help a paying customer? It's hard to be perfect, but many of the team at the Snellville, GA location are great. For example, Eliu. On March 3rd he was headed on break, but he still stopped when he noticed I was searching through shelves looking for something. He didn't know it, but I was trying to buy about $700 worth of matching doorknobs (to re-due my entire house), bathroom hardware and fixtures, as well as a few other items. Because of the large number of items I needed, I was expecting to buy somethings at Lowes in Snellville, then drive to another store (Lowes or HomeDepot) to get the rest. In two different departments he was able to find the items on high shelves by using a ladder (and with searching, able to find the quantity I needed). The entire time he was quick and efficient, while remaining very pleasant (despite it delaying him going on his break). He also helped arrange for me to sign up for a Lowe's credit card. He exceeded my expectations and saved me driving to HomeDepot or another Lowes. This is just one of many great experiences at this Lowes. read more

It took 3 tries to get it because they would call us the night before and gave us a time window (AM delivery) and then would call to tell us that they're running late. Oh, really? I figured that myself before you called. 3 tries!! You cannot reach anyone at the store because they'll just keep passing you around knowing you're calling to complain. We ordered a refrigerator and the 1st delivery was the wrong refrigerator all together. After calling the store and being disconnected a dozen times we finally got someone who promised to make it right and get another delivery out in 2 days. That delivery had the correct refrigerator however it was so dented up even the driver didn't want to attempt to bring it in the house. It looked as if it had been dropped on the floor and kicked a few times. SMH! We've been calling the store and transferred so many times I don't think we'll ever get to a manager or someone that knows what they are doing.
