I was here around 6:30pm on April 4th and let me tell you... give Brian a promotion a raise... all of it! We asked one worker were some razors were and he just said on the back wall leaving it up to us to find it. THEN after searching the back wall for a bit we asked Brian and... holy cow was he helpful. I don't know why Lowe's sells products that are substandard. I ordered closet doors. I asked for gold they delivered white. And the white are rusted. I have a contractor arriving tomorrow to install them and do other work and now I have and correct door and pay them a second time. Lowe's is going out of their way to lose clients. Home Depot not politically aligned with and Lowe's doesn't care about their customers. I've been on hold for 40 trying to get a supervisor to handle this and no one will come and help me. Worst customer service ever, if you can find someone to help. I waited 20 mins to get a piece of wood cut and no one showed up so I left and went to home depot and got helped right away. It's a ghost town and I am wondering if they are winding down their business. No one on the floor to help you and the mgmt and sales staff are not interested in helping. My time is worth more. Lowes came out and installed flooring for me, like a laminate. And they did an absolutely amazing job. I want to thank the people that were involved in that and now I'm not remembering their names but they were great with their customer service and their product I've had so many people compliment, my floor, and I really wanted to say thank you I also have had Lowes come out and replaced two closet doors and I do remember that was Jarrod and Matt. They were absolutely wonderful to work with and then Nico is helping me with a door that has warped and he came out today and has just been fantastic to work with so I wanted to say thank you to everybody. Plenty of hardware that a lot of us didn't know they existed at Lowe's. I was looking for 20" vase/pot-plates or plant saucers to put under big concrete pots. First I went to Home Depot, found out it didn't have the size or quality that I expected. So, I went to Lowe's next door. Voilà. There were plenty! Also, the employees were very friendly and helpful. Hi, so I live here now lol. Decided it was a good idea to take on a complete "garden" renovation on my patio and I've found myself here every few days the last two weeks. I chose Lowe's initially just because it was the closest to home. But now after stopping by other big name stores and garden shops, it's easy to say that for me Lowe's remains supreme. I find that Lowe's has the best selection and prices. Also what I love is its slightly less busy than the bigger name chain next door. I found that I could shop here at my leisure without so many people coming and going. Also check out has been so much easier here then at their rival counterpart. Gardening is still an expensive hobby, don't get me wrong but I felt that I got the most for my money here and so far all of the plants have lasted and look great. Very happy with their pre-spring selection. Staff that work here are nice and I also have requested the inside area of Lowe's for small little project supplies, getting keys made and grabbing bbq equipment or pellets. I really like this location. It's big and clean, also not as intimidating to shop. This will definitely be my number one stop when doing home improvements. read more

I came to the store and search up a charcoal grill and charcoal, and I was met with the most hopeful person who did not mark my lack of knowledge on the subject or other subjects Jess was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, even grabbed a cart and loaded things onto it for me and showed me around and helped me find other things I needed like a missing bolt for my mailbox and he instructed me too. Take the remaining bolt and bring it in so that he could examine it further and find a way to fasten a nut to it. The other helpful gentleman is Booth who works in the screws and nails department, and he's incredibly knowledgeable and so helpful that he actually opened up a box with the mailbox in it to see if he could find the bolts that I was missing or try to replicate it. Terrible employee interactions. Immediately condescending, accusatory and rude. I made the mistake of buying their brand - Kobalt 24V chainsaw. I spent hours trying to get the chain not to lag too much and when I finally got it in (no small feat) place it wouldn't even cut through a 5 in diameter hedge trunk!! SO frustrating! I bought this literally 3 days before I went to return it and was told I was past the 48 hour window!! They seemed delighted to tell me this fact. Made comments that "it was used" - yeah - I didn't buy it to keep it tucked away in the box (beyond lame people). I had the receipt, the box and all items. They wouldn't take it back but not being content wasting my time to that extent they told me to call the corporate number. Again I was met with redundancy and nonsense just reiterating Lowe's absurd return policy of 48 hours. They seem gleeful in denying the customer a satisfactory resolution. Honestly not having an item purchased not work correctly is already a huge waste of time. Just trying to get made even financially. Grotesque treatment at best. There is ALWAYS someone close by to help find my items and answer my questions. I've been there so often some employees recognize me. Today, I needed help with door locks and, once again, Boot was there to assist me! He shared info of dead bolts, keys, and installation patiently with me! Seeing him again reminded me that the last time I was there he had helped me find something else! It's all too often that we sit down to complain. Met with Lyle at Lowe's flooring in Newbury Park and looked a tile flooring. We decided to go with Lowe's over two other bids. Although there was a little miscommunication about delivery of some materials it all worked out in the end and it did not delay the installers. The Keller Interiors that was the install company did a great job and was truly outstanding crew. Keller Interiors was great to work with and would highly recommend them. Flooring area completed was entry, dining area, kitchen, hallway, closet, pantry and the back bathroom with mosaic tile. THANK YOU Keller Interior's and Lowe's. Two weeks later (and after we paid in full) Lowe's customer service not only do absolutely nothing to resolve the problem but just transfer our calls to helpless clerks that couldn't care less about anything or anyone. Shipping department is an absolute joke. They gave me a time window from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM and when I called in the morning around 7 AM to confirm that they said it was confirmed and they will give me a 30 minute notice. At around 9:45 AM when I'm just about at work about 40 minutes away I get a call saying the delivery will be there in 15 minutes. This is just not acceptable and they offered no compensation. Lowes: I need an outside outlet cover. They didn't have anything nice so I bought some things that I can make work. In other words, typical. Today, the was no in-person checkers. No one said hello. No one said thank you. No one said merry Christmas. In a society that people are increasingly killing themselves, and sometimes others for lack of connection to humanity, it seems corporately irresponsible to contribute to that feeling of isolation from humanity. I can't see any reason for me to go back to buy the same stuff I can find across the street or more conveniently, find exactly what I want on Amazon. Do not buy carpet from Lowe's. This has been nothing short of a disaster, a long string of mistakes one after the other. No one can give me a true answer. I have heard so many different reasons why it's been an over month since I paid for carpet and still don't even have an install date. First the carpet got shipped to the store instead of the installers. I only found this out when I called after 2 weeks trying to figure out why I hadn't heard back regarding an install date. They said they had to wait 10 more days before they could ship it to the installers because the truck was full. So I begin calling them again at 10 days to check what is going on. Then they tell me that the quantity is incorrect and the installers rejected the shipment. I was instructed to call back on Monday and speak with Anna. Anna gets on the phone and brushes me off immediately saying she needs to call someone else and will call me back. Of course Anna never calls me back. So I call again the next day and my call gets rejected before anyone even picks it up. I call a different number and get through to someone who tells me they called the installers and that the installers will call me to set up a date. Still waiting for that phone call..... it has now been 5 weeks and 15 phone calls since I purchased this carpet and I still have no idea what is going on. Ordered a dishwasher online that was delivered and installed from this store - it was damaged so it had to be returned. The return process is a mess - I actually had to pay AGAIN to order the replacement unit. The replacement unit has been installed (it's fine), and the prior unit was returned. I STILL HAVE NOT BEEN REFUNDED FOR THE PRIOR UNIT! Lowes has essentially STOLEN $1200+ dollars from me. I'll be filing with the BBB next. We had them replaced in the fall of 2020 and have left so many messages with both the fabricator Lowes used and Lowes with no real help. My wife and I went in to the Newbury Park Lowes yesterday to look for a particular type of plant. While there, I found a replacement for our 20yo grill. Rather than buy it on the spot, I checked their stock (plenty), and spent some time at home later that day comparing prices. Lowes was least expensive, by 30-40%, compared to the "Orange" store and the "Red" hardware chain. I returned this morning (a quiet Friday morning well before lunchtime for nearby industrial park), and asked a guy on a forklift how to get a grill. He immediately jumped off, checked stock again, and we walked up to the front where he waited while I paid. I had in mind opening a Lowes account to get another 20% off the already low price. The clerk at the register was very much up on the application process, which went smoothly. She had to get a manager's approval to apply the discount, but that was taken care of promptly and cheerfully as well. The forklift clerk and I walked outside, where he asked me to drive over to get the (assembled!) grill. Another associate came up, but between the three of us, we couldn't figure out how to get the assembled grill into the back of my Subaru. No problem; the forklift clerk (whose name I never learned) immediately got an unassembled grill from the back, loaded it into my Subie, and after a pleasant couple of hours disassembling the junker and assembling the new one, my wife and I have a good-looking, economical grill for our patio. read more

Grand Opening June/July 2019!!! Just came to Lowe's to check out their 4th of July deals. It's a brand new location overlooking the 101 Fwy off Wendy Drive in Thousand Oaks/Newbury Park. The store is beautiful and it has a nice layout. Today they had tons of team members walking around and making sure everyone was taken care of. Of course because today was a holiday, there were lots of people shopping and checking out their deals. This location is literally a hop and skip from their main competitor, but it's shows there is growth in our community which is always a good sign. I can never quite figure out why every Lowe's that I've walked into is so slow with few customers walking around compared to Home Depot? More or less I see prices higher and lower at Lowe's versus Home Depot across the street. In this particular case I find that I'm going to save well over $100 and more but the things I have in mind versus Home Depot. I am renovating and refurbishing a rental property in Thousand Oaks of mine. Our tenant very fortunately moved out during pandemic after several months of paying nothing. I did get three months or $7,500 an emergency rental support from Ventura County but the tenant still owes me several thousand. They're likely to be deadbeats and never pay. At any rate I'm going to invest quite a bit to upgrade property beautifully. The actual residual damage to property is not so bad and close to routine wear and tear. Except my tenants did damage the garage door and pull apart the two sliding patio doors. That's okay... That kind of thing can be fixed pretty easily. In any event I'm still shopping for lots and lots of materials. Plus I'm planning on building several auxiliary dwelling units (AKA granny flats) on our rental properties to increase the rental revenue. This means I'll be buying tens of thousands a materials over the next few months. I find that it's more convenient the shop at Lowe's because there is no crowd. But it makes me seriously suspicious to walk into Lowe's with virtually nobody there. It always makes me think what am I doing shopping here... It leaves me curious? So why am I granting for stars? Because I think Lowe's is a pretty good place to shop. I can find staff that are very patient because they've got no one else to help. It's quick to check out because there's rarely anybody in front of me in line and... Best of all is the pricing is superior half the time and because since they're not so busy I'm more likely to find building materials that might be in short supply at Home Depot. I'd almost like to say that finding help with no lines means it's worth it to pay more for a few things or saving money on the other half of the things I need. The last time I had a major renovation after I purchased a beat up home a few years ago... I remember buying all kinds of stuff at Lowe's for exactly the same reasons. I am NEVER shopping here again. I was planning to do all of my garden shopping here including maintaining and re-landscaping our backyard. Employee Patty was very kind and helpful in assisting me in purchasing garden center items and Arsi was kind in assisting me checking out. However, the next day, I returned an unused spreader and grass/fertilizer mix because my gardener said he would take care of that for me part of his gardening maintenance package. When I arrived, employee Marcie said, "Are you really returning it (spreader) all banged up and dirty like that?! I will need to call my manager." Which then I said, "I bought this yesterday in this condition. You can check your cameras. You sold it to me yesterday in this condition. This is an internal employee/product issue. Are you accusing me?" Manager Arsi came by and said he remembered me and assisted me yesterday. They issued me a full refund. Nevertheless, I continued to share with employees how this situation left me feeling unwell because they could have handled this internally and not in front of me because I, the customer, am left feeling accused of wrong doing. Employee Sonia then shared "We did nothing wrong, YOU are making a big deal out of things." In which then I left this store crying and in tears because I have never been demeaned and degraded so much as a customer, new to town, who was planning to do all my home care and projects shopping at Lowes. I am never shopping here again and will advise everyone I know to stay away. Their employees need to be trained to treat all customers with respect and believe in our goodness and handle any internal issues (selling a banged up and dirty spreader) internally and also NOT place the blame/fault on the customer repeatedly. Please own up to your actions/words/impact and take responsibility. Please treat all customers with kindness and respect.
