My old dryer conked out and it was time for a new one. Well, over two weeks later and the one I've paid for, twice, still does not have an ETA. Generally I have positive experiences at this location. As with other businesses, it can be hit or miss when it comes to customer courtesy. This morning I had an unpleasant experience in the gardening center. The young female cashier was very pleasant to the elder gentleman ahead of me. When I stepped up to the register, I was greeted with a cold stare and very rude, abrupt treatment. The cashier had on a face mask, however, it was under her chin rendering it ineffective. As a disabled vet with pre-existing health conditions, I am vigilant about compliance. She also did not ask if I had a MyLowe's card and rang me up as I looked for it. When I presented it to her, she seemed bothered to ring in the correct amount. She continued to be abrupt in her communication as her impatience with me was obvious. I told her that she could be nicer which she then mumbled something under her breath. When I called her out on it, she told me that she was sorry that I felt that way. I reaffirmed that she was very rude and left the store. I attempted to call the store after the incident but the phone rang endlessly. I don't expect special treatment as a veteran, just the same respect & courtesy that the previous customer had before me. Since we have options to shop elsewhere, I will do so. Never ever again! Jeff, Daniel, Chris and Robert are absolutely useless! They are uneducated and have the worst customer service skills. How can a store be so unkind and unhelpful? If I can give a negative stars, I would. I purchased a freezer Sunday and was told to come back Monday after 11am because the shipment would be in. I come back Monday after 11am to find out that the shipment will be in Tuesday. I call Tuesday morning and the customer service lady says the freezer is in but not sure if it's my freezer so to call back around 11am. I call back at 11am and now the freezer never came in and will be there at the end if the week. I told the lady about the conversation I had earlier and so she transfers me over to the appliance department only for the phone to ring and ring and ring and then I get disconnected. I go into the store only to find out that the system is down and they can't do anything until it comes back up. I will ask for a refund when the system is up and never buy from Lowe's again. Hopefully this review will help someone out. Thanks for reading. *update* so it is now the fourth day in a row I've been to Lowe's, lady at the customer service tells me my freezer is here so I pull up to the loading zone and wait almost 20min. I go back in and ask if they forgot about me, she tells me they looked and couldn't find it, they said my freezer never came in and because of Covid it is now on back order. I totally get the Covid thing but don't guarantee me something just to get a sale and then have me running around just to find out that it doesn't exist. I had just checked out with a Cashier when a Supervisor came up to the Cashier and told her "This isn't Walmart or Target. You don't have to talk to the customer or be that nice". I STRONGLY disagree. That pleasant chat with the Cashier secures the customer rapport end of Lowe's business equation. Ordered a refrigerator on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. Delivery was sched for Monday. Never received confirmation call Sunday so we called the Lowe's delivery line, we were advised that the fridge had not been loaded and would be scheduled for Wed. Tues night comes along and the we called and got the same exact answer and were told the same thing that the fridge had not been loaded and would need to be scheduled for thurs. Wednesday night it was the same exact story. In the meantime no working fridge for 4 days. No confirmation calls from Lowe's or delivery company. We spent our time calling every night. Needless to say we cancelled our $2,000 purchase and will never buy an appliance for delivery from Lowe's again in the future. read more

Came to my go to place earlier this evening and man..... The lack of customer service sure was on point tonight!!! Normally I have never had an issue, but it was super disappointing tonight. The only person who took the time to help me was the paint guy. I believe his name was Sam. He was so generous and helped me even in a different area when no one was to be found. Jennifer (who I called 3 times while waiting in the flooring aisle for assistance) was very courteous and tried so hard to get me help there. After waiting for over half an hour, I gave up. Ran into Sam, and he was so apologetic for the lack of the flooring areas customer service. I thanked him for all his help and went to checkout. The customer service in this store needs to be totally improved. I have a big project going on now and be here almost everyday. Everytimes I just hope to have a good helper but always be dispointed. When asked for a particular stuff, normally they refer to someone else because "I am not sure about it". Today I came but waited 30 minutes without helping. My wife really does not like Lowes at all and told me not going there. But I always try to give them some more chances to see the improvement. I ordered a screen door off line through Lowes.com. They advertise shop click pick up well it was anything from that simple. My first attempt to pick up the door I ordered had me go to customer service to pick it up I get there then they make me go back to mill work to verify my order which was just them looking at my receipt. Then they send me back to customer service to do the same thing!!! Then they can't find it and when they finally do they didn't offer to help load it just said have a nice day. (This day took 1 hour) Better believe I didn't let that fly. Get home and it's broken!!! Lesson learned I will have them open the box before I leave. Return to Lowes and they have to reorder me a new one. It comes in and here I sit WAITING again. I go to customer service to pick it up and this time they customer service cashier can't get anyone to go and get it from the back. She finally says "I guess I'll go get it myself." 3 attempts to deliver a simple washer and dryer and Lowe's could not get it correct. Bad management but worse customer service. One thing that they seem to excel at is unhappy customer refunds since they undoubtedly get many many unhappy customers requesting cancellation of their orders and return of merchandise. I finally see someone but he was new, in training and he didn't know. I go up front and I see and older man, he said he can't help me he is off the clock...but to go back and push the button. I guess we have replaced people with a button, so I go all the way back, I push the button and finally someone shows up. If you are considering a kitchen remodel, DO NOT have Lowe's Vacaville do your project. They happily took our money, but the communication breakdown is remarkable. Our kitchen was demolished, and the new cabinets were delivered, with one floor cabinet damaged. We were told the manufacturer would have to make a new cabinet, and then ship it to us in approximately 3 weeks. The entire project was held up waiting for this cabinet. I asked why it would take 3 weeks to make a cabinet and have it sent to us. I explained that a good customer service model would be to tell the cabinet maker to make the new cabinet, immediately, and send it out to customer immediately. Lowe's told us "That's not how it works." My follow-up question was "why not?" Spend $50K in a kitchen remodel, yet we have to go 8 weeks without a kitchen or appliances, and being forced to eat out EVERY SINGLE MEAL during this timeframe. Seems to me that Lowe's is a big enough corporation to tell the cabinet maker; "Make it now, and move this order to the top of the list, or we will find another cabinet maker to use in the future." We were told weeks ago that all of our new appliances were delivered to Lowe's, and would be delivered to our home just prior to installation date. We were told that we would receive a call from delivery person on Saturday evening between 6-9pm to find out our 4 hr window of delivery. The call came and we were told it would be 9:30a-1:30p on Sunday. Delivery shows up, and they have our dishwasher and fridge. I ask where our cook top, microwave, double oven, and hood are. We were told it wasn't on his delivery order. My wife called Lowe's to sternly ask why ALL of our appliances weren't delivered. We were then told the rest would be delivered Sunday at the end of the day, with no specific time given. End of the day comes around and the rest of the appliances were delivered...except the hood. During this entire timeframe 7+ weeks, the flooring contractor refused to install the flooring due to the one floor cabinet being missing. The granite counter contractor was unable to measure for the counter tops to have them manufactured, also due to the one cabinet missing. I sent emails of my complaints to Lowe's management, and have gotten limited and delayed response. Run, don't walk, away from Lowe's for kitchen remodels. read more

DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES FROM LOWES!! I cannot give any better advice than that. I bought a stove on Dec. 15, here in Vacaville. Since there were mostly black appliances in the store, I figured it would be easy to get a black stove. NOT!!! I was told by the very rude and bitchy sales lady that it will take at least 2 weeks to get one. (When we got to the store there was a man there complaining about the stove he had just bought, this should have been my big clue) I really should have walked out, but needed a stove badly. SO...........we went ahead and ordered it. What a HUGE mistake that was. It DID come in two weeks, then it took them another 3 days to get someone to come out and delivery it and hook it up. When they unpacked the stove there was a HUGE defect in the door paint, after looking more closely I discovered 2 more major large flaws. I told the guy I would take a discount and I would keep this stove........NOPE.........they didn't want to do that. So I suggested they just swap out the doors.......NOPE........they didn't want to do that either. They insisted on ordering a brand new stove. So..............2 more weeks of waiting. It came in on the 13th day and they called to let me know it was going to be delivered two days later. YIPPY.............NOT! When they got here with it they brought it in and asked............"isn't the old new stove unhooked"?? I told them NO.........I have no clue how to do it and I had their service guys hook it up. I paid 156 dollars for them to do that. The delivery guy said he couldn't do it and would just leave my new stove and the old new one in place until someone could come out and hook it up. My kitchen is small..............and now I have 2 stoves in it. No room to walk to the sink, no room to cook and no room to even walk across the floor!!! The person he called said someone would be calling to hook it up. Ok.........fine.........NOT!! When they called they told me that it would be two days later before someone could come out to hook up the stove and haul off the old new one. I freaked and reminded them about my 2 stove kitchen with no walking room. After bitchen and throwing a fit they said they may have someone else come out and connect it. They did eventually find someone to hook up my stove and remove the first new stove. He was very polite and even apologized for Lowes and their shitty service even though he was a private contractor. This is a warning to all, go to your local appliance dealer or Sears to get your kitchen or household appliances. Their prices are the same and they have a much better sales staff, less drama and good equipment. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER THING FROM LOWES!!! read more

This store has cart wipes which most hardware stores don't. Too bad they can't be bothered to stock paper towels in their bathrooms, but their sensor sinks work. All in all it's a good store. I would give it 5 stars if they turned off the bad music blaring in the store. There is a reason this stores is less expensive than home depot. If you know what you're doing and will not need much assistance, then I would recommended going here. If you're someone like me who will need some type of customer service, then I would just go home depot instead. There were multiple occasions when I needed some assistance and no one was available. I would even hit the "request service" button and I could see that employees noticed it, but they just ignored it. I understand that things can be busy and it isn't always possible to get something within seconds. However I waited for up to 15 minutes once, and no one seemed interested. read more

My husband and I bought a home in the Vacaville area, and as most of you know when you buy a new home there are many more things you need to make it your home. So after many thousands of dollars spent at Lowes we needed to go back once again for our closet organizer. Once at the store I discovered I have forgotten my 10% off coupon, and asked the sales assistant to inquire with management if they would still honor it. Well no!!! I was shocked as I spent about $1000. I was very surprised by this and next time I might just take my business to Home Depot as costumer service makes a big difference for me. Paint department: I have never been so disappointed in customer service. After twenty minutes of standing and waiting, I was finally acknowledged. I asked to have a quart mixed with no VOCs. Forty minutes later, one of the women asked me if I was being helped. I reminded her that I was waiting for the quart of paint I ordered. She responded that the specific brand I was waiting for did not come with no VOCs. I would have loved to have been acknowledged and known that the product I was requesting was unavailable before 60 minutes had passed. read more

My biggest problem with Lowe's, is that they let their stock on popular items run low in the busy season.

Went there to get lumber. Associate Scott offered to help. He picked out the first 2x4, it was cut curved so I asked for one that was not, he grabbed another board but this one was even worse. When I shook my head at the second one after he argued with me that the obviously curved board was strait he said, "picking out lumber is a very personal thing!" and literally threw the 2x4 back at the stack, then stormed off mumbling something about getting us another lumber cart and never returned. When it came time to load and tie down the lumber he was the only one available to help, he spoke down to my mother and I as if we were morons who had no concept of a load shifting during travel, even though we were standing there with two cargo straps waiting to secure the load (usually they give you some twine to secure your purchase, this twine has a tendency to snap). When I had enough of his tone I stated that my mother and I had both secured and transported cargo in our time in the military, all of a sudden Scott was nowhere to be found and the courtesy clerk had to finish loading our lumber on his own. If an older fella named Scott tries to "help" you I suggest you decline. read more

Extremely disappointed in this establishment. Over a month ago I ordered a DROP IN range. I was very clear that it needed to be a drop in and gave the measurements. They ordered it and immediately took the money out of my credit card. Instead of a month, it was 6 weeks. The times for delivery were very inconvenient, however we made adjustments to our schedules and waited for it. When they arrived they said it would not fit because it was slide in and not a drop in. How does this place possibly have a lower rating than Home Depot?? I mean, I'm not really a fan of home improvement stores in general. But the employees here are consistently friendly and helpful, and tend to know what they're talking about. Several of them are great about remembering us and asking "how's that kitchen coming?" and such When there are problems -- like a piece in a kit not matching the piece on display for that kit -- they actually solve the problem! Another time, I was looking for a really obscure light bulb, and the employee helping me opened up packages to make sure we found the right one. They have gone above and beyond. Also the 75% off plants section is awesome. Got a wonderful 7' Dracaena Janet Craig for $21 (rather than $84) that looked awful, but is already perking up after a little TLC. Just today, got a "Flirt" nandina in perfect health for $3.25 (rather than $13) because it was the last in stock. As far as home improvement stores go, this is one of the best. read more

Incredibly frustrating experience .bought new refrigerator 2 weeks ago,it died already,out of stock so they offered to upgrade me great right ? Wrong! Worst customer service. Haven't been in a year due to inferior service, thought I would give another try. Garden and plant section had one cashier and 5 people in line. There were 3 Lowes employees on the side "chatting thechat". They did not care that customers were waiting. Went to the general area to check out and there were 2 employees standing around. Asked them why someone didn't get called to assist in gardening. They said you never know when there may be an influx of customers for them to service. Really!! Ordered a double oven in October to replace a broken one and when it arrived, Lowes in Vacaville lost it, so didn't have any oven for making Thanksgiving meal, so they ordered another one. I was told it would arrive in 21 days and be installed before Christmas meal. Still no oven and very disappointed in the service there, can't order elsewhere since they have already been paid. Mixed feelings on this place. Some employees here are amazing, and they have good occasional sales. But I just went into the store today, and....it wasn't the best experience. I was in the garden center and I was ready to buy my tree. Went up to cashier, and there is a senior citizen in line in front of me that was in the middle of a transaction. I know retail is hard-my daughters have both been cashiers and the stress is unbelievable for such low pay but the cashier told the older lady "here's your card" "hold on!" Yelled the lady as she slowly walked back to get her card. As she walked off, and I go to purchase my tree, the cashier begins telling me how unreal the lady was, and "she made me do everything!! Swipe her card for her, bag all her stuff and she wouldn't take her card back! Like give me a break I can't believe people like her!" But What if that was her mom? How would she want her mom to be treated? And she's an older lady....she needs extra assistance. And then to tell ME her feelings on the whole thing, really not professional at all. I wanted to call and complain on her. I wouldn't want my parents going through her line!! Or anyone with a disability either. If someone is in need, just be kind and understanding. Help them. Over all a good hardware store. Most of the time it's very clean and well organized. Helpful and friendly staff. Many whom know the products or location to find certain items. I remember having assistance from the store manager before. That is a plus.
