I'm almost not sure where to begin! I needed to have some pavers and mulch for which the weight would have been around a ton and the pavers I wanted were stocked only by Lowe's. I tried calling to order in that the pavers could not be ordered online(why?). NO ONE in any department would answer the phone. Initially wrote this off to the current situation so drove to the store and went to Customer service and was told by them (after waiting 10 mins in line) I needed to go to lawn and garden to order, there was no one there except for the cashier so again waited in line only to be told I needed to go back to customer service. I went back again, waited, placed my order and was told it would be 22 days out for the delivery, I get it thinks are different now. On the 26th of May when the delivery was to happen no calls, no texts, no emails and NO show. I again tried calling and again no answers, finally at about 3:30 I did reach someone in customer service but was told: "sorry the delivery man had gone for the day." On the 27th again tried calling, early, but still no answers on any extension so again I drove there and after waiting for about half an hour was told they didn't know why I didn't receive my delivery but they would need to re-schedule for June 15, almost another three weeks, at that point, I asked for a manager. After standing around for another 15+ minutes I was then told I would be guaranteed and was promised delivery first thing the next day and NEVER spoke to a manager. So on the 28th waited all day, tried calling all-day, again no answer until around 6:00 PM, spoke to Doug who apologized and was again promised delivery on Friday the 29th. I explained this whole comedy of errors and was adamantly promised I would receive it on Friday. At this point I certainly didn't trust them so tried calling, you guessed it, no answers so again I drove over to ensure this was REALLY going to be delivered on Friday. Went to customer service and just immediately asked for a manager, after waiting about 10 minutes I did talk to someone, who contacted Doug and we went back to Doug's office to see if this was on the truck. After waiting another 10-15 minutes got to speak to Doug who checked to see and, wait for it, NO it was not on the truck because they only have two and one was broke down today. At this point, I gave up and asked for a refund, which I was granted. I was given more song and dance and excuses but I am not sure how this could have been fouled up any worse had they tried, which frankly I almost wonder if it was. BTW, across the street, there was a line completely down the side of their building, yet no line at all at Lowe's. Obviously those folks knew what took me 25 days and hours to come to realize. I will NEVER purchase ANYTHING from Lowes so long as I have other choices. It is absolutely unbelievable a large company would have this depth of bad customer service. read more

I usually shop at Home Depot because they are closer and sometimes less expensive. However, I received a gift card for my wedding to Lowe's and so off to Lowe's I went! I was helped immediately upon walking down the paint aisle by a very nice gentleman by the name of Paul(?) The woman also behind the paint desk was helpful as they both helped me get the paint colors I need. But the real star employee of my Lowe's experience was Jay. I had forgotten a coupon at home and they already started mixing paint up. I had my husband send me a photo of the coupon (it was for paint!!) and Jay went above and beyond to check w the manager, who also looked at the photo of the coupon, saw my paint order and saw that I was nearly in tears over forgetting the coupon and he let me use it! (I was buying a very large order of paint!) Most businesses would not have been this accommodating and wonderful, but this place was. Lowe's, you have a new customer for life! Lowe's knows, but doesn't always have what you are looking for. Much like Home Depot, they don't always have everything you need in stock. They can help with ideas and supplies, but very few people have the answers you are really looking for. Because the store looked so neat, clean and the staff was friendly, I give it three stars. Wow if I could give zero stars I would. No one knows what they are doing and when you ask them a question you get major attitude and "I don't know" in a very snippy manner. Came into the store, ordered mulch and dirt and scheduled the delivery for 6/10. Supposed to call the day before but when I got no call I called them (6/9). Was told it was still scheduled for delivery between 8am and 8pm. At 7:15 pm on 6/10 I called and checked on it. Was told the same thing. Can you check with the drivers? No, we have nothing to do with them, only the scheduler talks to them. Can I speak to the scheduler? Oh she goes home at 3 pm. Great. Waited 12 hours, no show, at 8:30 pm went into the store to get my refund. Asked for the store manager. He's not here. When does he come back in? 6am. Ok, I call at 6:30 and he's not here. When does he come in. I don't know. I was told 6 am. He's not in today. What? Ok, who's the manager when he's not here. I don't know (sensing a theme?). Well someone must be in charge - cuts me off and says I'll transfer you to the back manager. Back manager "Jamie" is the rudest person I have ever had the displeasure to speak with. I asked why my delivery wasn't made. I don't know (quite snippy). I try to give her information and when I got to the part where I said "after waiting 12 hours and no show I came in and got a refund" she says "well you got your refund what do you want" Really nasty tone too. I want to know why Lowes screwed up my order. I want to know why Lowes never called me. I want to know why you are annoyed at me when it's Lowes that messed up. She hangs up. Wow. Real piece of work. That whole store in fact. I call back and ask for the scheduler, I'm told there are several and she transfers me. I get Jamie. I ask for the scheduler, she tells me "you don't need to talk to her". What in the actual F is wrong with the people who work at Lowes? Are you trained to treat your customers like garbage, like we don't matter? I call back customer service, I ask for the regional manager. I don't know. I ask if there's an assistant manager when Paul the manager isn't in. Yes. Can I speak to him. He doesn't get in until 7:30 but he's just one of several managers. Wait, you just told me he was the assistant manager. No I didn't. I don't know what you want but I have to get off this line I have other people waiting. Oh, so I guess helping me doesn't matter then. Oh wait Paul just came in *click* puts me on hold. Of course I get the usual oh we'll speak to the reps blah blah blah. Oh we don't have what you ordered in stock. Well why didn't they call me and why are they giving me the run around no. I apologize. Well that means nothing when I can tell you that It's not just one rep and this is not the first time this has happened. What is wrong with this Lowes? Apparently they don't give a crap about their customers so maybe we shouldn't give a crap about them. Shop anywhere else. ANYWHERE. read more

This is the worst home improvement store I've ever been to. We went in on a Saturday evening (around 4 PM) to buy a washer and dryer. We were looking at them by ourselves, while the one salesman in the section helped another couple. We decided on the ones we wanted, so I went up to wait by him. The man was very helpful to the couple he was assisting, and there was another couple in front of us. He called for assistance THREE TIMES, just to be ignored by the other staff. After waiting 15 minutes, a woman from the kitchen decor department came and asked us what we needed. I asked her about their next day delivery (because there was a super giant sign saying if it was in stock they would deliver next day) and she was super rude to me saying "that's only if we have time. We don't. It'll be 11 days minimum." then went on to complain she didn't know anything about the department because she wasn't in this sales department. We decided to leave. Her only helpful advice was to go to the warehouse next door and look, which we did, and found the exact same (if not better) prices, better salesmen, and 3 day delivery. read more

We went used Lowe's for a one room carpet installation project. Lowe's has similar carpet installation specials that Home Depot does. The flooring folks will explain how the specials apply to the different brands of carpet. Because we've been pretty happy with the Smart Strand carpet we had installed a couple of years ago we decided to go with that brand again. Lowe's coordinates with one of their contractors to come out and measure for the flooring and then you can get on with your order. It took about a week for our carpet to come in from the manufacturer. Kluge Brothers was the company contracted to install our carpet and they were able to set up an install appointment right away. I was given a two hour window and the installer who arrived was courteous, friendly, and conscientious during the install. The carpet looks great and so far we don't see any issues with the install. When he was done he had us inspect it and part of the Kluge Brothers policy is to have the customer speak with the owner of the install company to ensure that everything was done to satisfaction. They supposedly feed this info back to Lowe's to make sure that the contractors they use are reputable. This Lowe's location has always been helpful for whatever we've needed and we like that it's more organized and less crowded than the Home Depot down the road. The only thing preventing a 5 star rating on this is that the lady who coordinated our flooring project sent me home with the adhesive & tack strip that the installers would need to use, however it was the wrong adhesive. I ended up having to take it back and exchange it prior to the install. If you want to ensure that you save the most money on your carpet install, do the work to move your furniture and remove the old carpet yourself. If you don't, you'll be charged for that labor as well - which Lowe's does make you aware of up front. read more

Can't speak for installation services, but their staff is far more attentive than the nearby Home Depot, and really respectful and patient, which is hard to find when you're a pregnant woman who is fixing her own plumbing. :) I've been there a handful of times this month and everyone has been great. We went to Lowe's to purchase a primed white 4x8 beadboard panel to finish off our room renovation. We had purchased several panels a few months before. We noticed that there were two sections of the same board one above the other. The first shelf had panels with broken corners and the sign said regular $59 dollars, sale price $44. We took one panel and asked to have it cut in half. I stayed with the floor rep while he cut the board and my wife paid at the back sales counter. My wife soon returned saying she was told it would be the $59 price. The floor sales rep went with us to the shelf and said that the product was incorrectly placed but we should get it for the sale price. But when we returned to the sales desk, an older sales rep who I assumed was a manager got involved and said "come with me" and we will have another look. After checking the shelf he then told the floor rep help him re-stack the board on the proper shelf as someone had intentionally put the product on the sales shelf. I mentioned that I had just had open heart surgery five weeks before if he was referring to me or my wife. I received no comment so I asked about the price and he smiled and said "if you want it, you pay the full $59 price", and when I questioned him about customer service he gave me a child-like squawking bird gesture and walked away laughing. After this kind of treatment, I went to the customer service counter and asked to speak with a store manager. I was introduced to "Carson" who listened to my problem and said that he just had to confirm the shelving mix-up and that he would give us the $44 price if it was as I and the floor rep had stated. After confirming he said, don't worry it was the stores mistake and not any of your doing. I noticed that the older counter sales rep who had returned to the front counter seemed peeved and would not make eye contact with me and thus,remained silent. I am grateful to Carson and the floor rep for their "make it right" attitude as I was just about to agree with my wife and pay the higher price just to get out of there and never shop at Lowe's again. That would have been a disappointment as we had already spent a considerable amount of money at Lowe's on our renovation project. I am glad to see that one bad apple does not represent the customer service at Lowe's. The floor rep helped us load the car and said he was sorry for our troubles and hoped that we would continue to shop there. The store should be proud to have him represent their company. read more

07/09/17-Went to Lowes to buy a washer and dryer because of their one day delivery advertisement, went to the store in Westminster , Colorado, found what we wanted,plus a refrigerator we were going to get. only 2 associates working that department,there was a line of people awaiting service, decided to leave and order on line.. Ordered on line, asked for delivery confirmation were told it would be the 23rd of July, after writing order, canceled it, cannot go 3 weeks without doing laundry . There is the process of false advertisement, CEO and corporate greed, also were told 5 drivers had quit,establishing the long delay,the corporate higher ups , have their day coming , I am hopeful,it will be soonl read more

Bought a hot water heater with installation and everything went off without a hitch! Steadfast Plumbing did the work quickly and efficiently and they even completed the paperwork for my Xcel Energy rebates. They gave me the number to call for an inspection by the City of Westminster, which was passed today without a problem. And the BEST part is that this was all completed for less than HALF of the amount quoted by two different local plumbing companies!!! read more

I loved all the individual specialists I worked with at Lowe's. They were really helpful, knowledgeable, patient and kind... they answered all my questions. I got good prices on appliances and carpet by opening a credit card with them, and they helped me with all of that. My problem lies in that you really can't seem to get anything major done on time here. I ordered carpet here to the tune of $6,000, and they were supposed to easily make the 3-week deadline I had for installation. No problem. Except their installers took almost a week to try to make an installation appointment (they would only call in the evening, and if you missed them you couldn't talk to them again until lunch or the evening the next day). Between all the phone tag, by the time I hooked up with them, my deadline I needed for installation was long past. And there was just really nothing the management of either Lowe's or the carpet installers would or could do... that was just the way it was. That being said, after me calling and almost crying because we were going to have to move in without our new carpet, then move all the furniture back in again later, they magically had a cancellation and managed to make it happen... but I grew white hair that day for sure. Appliances were the same story - great customer service. Michael there bent over backwards and came in on his days off to try and help us. But after a month of waiting, they couldn't get our appliances delivered or installed and we actually had to sell our house without them, and cancel our order. It was nice that they refunded our money with no complaint, though. So - I like going here and I would order things from them again, but ONLY if I had no deadline where I needed them done by a specific time. I am not sure where you go to get things delivered and installed on time, but I don't think Lowe's is it, unfortunately. read more

This is the worst Lowes I have ever been to. My husband and I recently purchased a home that needs quite a bit of work so we have had frequent visits to this location as it is near our new house. The first time we went here was to purchase all new appliances and we could not get any service. We ended up taking our $7000 sale to Best Buy because of rude employees. We were also spending over $2000 on supplies to remodel a bathroom and could get no help! My husband and I had to lift a 60 inch vanity and marble top by ourselves because no one in this store is helpful. You ask for help and they say they are not in that department and they will send someone. They never do! You have to be rude and mean to get some attention. We have stood outside by our truck for more than 20 minutes waiting for someone to come help load the car and they never come. Typically other people walking by take pity and assist. It's absolutely ridiculous and no one cares. Needless to say after this bathroom remodel we will drive further to another Lowes or to Home Depot. read more

If I could give no stars, I would. Just embarrassingly bad customer service. I bought an item online for in store pick up. I had other items to get, so I went prior to email confirmation. Completed shopping and went to customer service, where a stressed and freaking out employee tried to help me. No luck finding the order, but another employee knew of the order and said it was being pulled, but they did not have all the parts. All the parts?? She sent me to Tools and the employee pulling the employee pulling the order said it was an outdated display model and the past managers didn't keep the parts, so I was SOL and it was a ridiculously outdated & worthless tool . SOL?? I asked what my options were, he stated I had none(no options?). I went back to customer service, and asked for a manager. I explained the situation and he asked why I wanted to buy the product and that I should not have come down because I did not have a confirmation email. UHH, I wanted the item and I had other shopping to do. He argued the confirmation email point and I stated that really wasn't the issue. The fact that I paid online for a new item....NOT a display, I was told I was SOL, and the item worthless, and argued with.......IS THE ISSUE. Never again will I shop there! read more

I rarely give five stars but Cheryl in plumbing at Lowes deserves all five stars. She was so helpful with helping me pick out the right toilet and putting it in a cart and even checked me out at the register and put the toilet in my car. She is amazing!!! Great customer service from start to end. I had been at Home Depot prior and couldn't get anyone to help me. Waited over 30 min and finally just left and went to Lowes. What a difference! The salesperson was rude , uninformed, & had little knowledge of anything pertaining to her job. In early April, I bought an expensive storm door with interior blinds from Lowes and used Lowes' installer. Unfortunately, the keys disappeared the next day. I love the door, but getting replacement keys for it has been a nightmare because of one individual there, and I still don't have them going on two months later. First he forgot to order keys from the manufacturer; then he told me to order them myself. When the manufacturer never answered after a week's worth of twice daily calls, I tried to talk to the Lowes' door manager again, but all my calls and messages specifically for him were disregarded. I thought my frustration couldn't rise any higher, but I was so wrong. When finally I got through to him, he said he would call the manufacturer, and he asked for the registration numbers--which I gave to him. Then I waited. And waited. When I began calling again, my calls and messages were again disregarded. Do you see why I called this experience at Lowes a NIGHTMARE yet? This is just the beginning. After I became a little insistent with the front desk customer service person, she asked me for the registration numbers again and told me I must have given the door manager the wrong numbers. I gave her the same numbers again, and waited. And waited. And waited. I began calling again and was told the fellow was on his lunch break, he wasn't in that day, to leave him a message that they promised would get to him, that the customer service person would watch for him to come in after his lunch break and personally give him the message, and so on and so forth. Finally, I got ahold of him and he told me he misplaced the numbers. The waiting game ensued again. I began calling. Eventually he responded and told me the manufacturer wouldn't send the keys. Instead, I would need to buy a new lock mechanism. I complied and was given back to the front desk for my credit card number. Then one day I got a Lowes' voice message, not his voice, telling me that "Your order has arrived." I started calling and finally, after another two days, I got testy with the front desk customer service person about getting the door person to answer. Surprise! He answered! He said nothing had come in regarding the door lock, but that he was sorry for suggesting to me earlier that a Lowes' installer would install the lock when it came in. They would not. "But," I said, "I received an automated message two days ago that an order for me had come in." He then began to look around and said, "Oh. Here is it. That's strange; it feels like keys rather than a lock." He opened it while I waited and said, "Well, what's going on! It's a bunch of screws. Let me call the manufacturer and get back to you." Famous last words, I thought. I said, "Will you really get back to me?" "Yes." A call came for me within five minutes. He said, "The manufacturer is going to send the lock directly to you." Now I sit here waiting again, unable to use my new storm door. I'm just hoping a package of bolts and washers won't arrive at my door one of these days. read more

We paid for an estimate to have our carpet stretched. They said if we didn't have them do the work, they would keep the deposit. We bought the carpet at This Lowe's store so we wanted to use them to stretch it. When the man came to give the estimate, he spent a couple of minutes in the house and said they couldn't do the work. Lowe's kept our money without doing any work. A short time later, we had Menard's give us a free estimate, and they did a fantastic job of stretching the carpet. Never give Lowe's money for an estimate. They may tell you they can't do the work and keep your money. read more
