We placed an order on the 27th for delivery for mulch, dirt and another item, and said it would be delivered the next day. We paid around $19 for the delivery. The next day the update said it would be here by 10 am. Then 11 am. Then 3pm, then by 8 pm!!! The last update said 10am the next day. The same thing all day yesterday, and now today!! I've been on the phone with the orchard Park location, the delivery coordinator there who said the order was set up with the Williamsville location and he gave me that number to call. I called that location. Spoke with two different people and both told me that the delivery was lost somehow! As I was asking the gentleman Oscar, if it was going to be a call back or if I was going to be on hold again which had happened repeatedly, and realize he hung up on me! Right now. I'm waiting for a call back from a manager which is what I said. I wanted to speak to a manager at this point. If I don't hear back in another 20 minutes, I'm probably calling the store again! We were told it wasn't exactly a delivery from Lowe's. It was kind of like a doordash delivery! Not from the actual store deliveries. This happened to us when we ordered a grill! It took forever to get here and when it was delivered it wasn't Lowe's employees that put it together and it was put together wrong. We had to complain and a Lowe's employee came out here in a Lowe's truck and fixed it. Because they made it right. I purchased a $25 shower cartridge from Lowe's, and when I installed it, it immediately started leaking. After researching, I ended up buying a replacement cartridge through Amazon. When I eventually returned to Lowe's to return the defective original cartridge, the experience was unnecessarily frustrating. Despite being a regular customer who entered my military info and scanned my license they were unable to locate my purchase. On top of that, I was informed of a 90-day return policy, making the return even more difficult to process. I understand that return policies exist for a reason, but when a product is clearly defective and a customer can demonstrate proof of purchase through a third-party platform, there should be a reasonable path to resolution. Instead, I was left to argue over a $25 item, which is simply not worth my time. Time is valuable, and the energy spent dealing with this return far exceeded the cost of the product itself. Checked in on the app, went into the store and the pick up area is right as you walk in to the right. Someone came quickly and provided me items. Recently did a painting project and I am so incredibly impressed with Lowe's. They are currently offering free same day (or next day if ordered after 2 pm) delivery. Because we inevitably ran out of supplies elbow deep in paint, they were so incredibly helpful giving us free delivery on painters tape, brushes, rollers, and the paint itself! I will definitely be going back to Lowe's for my painting needs in the future. Only critique, I live in a very complicated complex and attempted to provide delivery instructions and 2/3 deliveries were dropped at the wrong building putting me on a wild chase for my supplies. read more

I've began shopping regularly at this Lowe's around seven years ago. I remodeled the kitchen and bathroom after buying my house in "as is condition" (i. e. Terrible condition, or back to the 1960's condition). I don't give a crap about the house, just want to retire and move to Florida condition. I had excellent service from the Lowe's folks who helped me choose appliances, fixtures, lighting, flooring, etc. With their design expertise, all of the new pieces came together beautifully. I still get compliments on how lovely and modern my house looks. Nobody even remembers the old folks who moved to Florida! I'm in Lowe's less frequently as compared to those days. Yet, I go back often for some gadget or another. At times they are very busy and it can take time to find help. I've learned to be patient. I've learned to shop at less busy times. When you ask? My secret! I like you fellow Yelp friend, but it's all about boundaries in a good relationship. Some Dr. Phil for ya. And I've learned a lot about various home problems and how to resolve them from some very knowledgeable employees. Most are friendly and go out of the way to make sure you find what you need for your project. I'm thankful for not having to buy items that they knew would not work. "Wear and tear" over time (nurses push hand-washing can't fault me for over use) has led to the development of leaky bathroom faucets. Lucky for me, Lowe's carried the Delta brand faucet repair part (stem) that works perfectly with the original Delta faucets. Lowe's sells the item for $15.98. Whereas Delta sells the exact same item for $31.20 on their website. Way to go Lowe's! Half the cost. Best thing- I could buy the replacement part for a fraction of the cost of a whole new faucet that would run $200 plus. Ironically, Delta no longer makes that particular model faucet but Lowe's is still selling the original Delta faucet I bought years ago. This store is doing a good job. Customer service plus keeping prices "low" - it's Lowe's - lives up to its name. But how Lowe can you go?! read more

This is my local go to store for just about anything home improvement related. I go here for things like yard and landscaping items, tools, home repair items, hardware, etc. Their phone app is great for finding what you are looking for. The app tells you if they have the item in stock and what aisle and bin location to find it. And if you can't find the item, their helpful employees will go searching for it. Sometimes items are on the top shelf where excess stock is stored or items may have just arrived and are still on their loading dock. If their computers say something in stock but not on the shelves, it may take a few minutes but they will find it. Their regular prices are very competitive and they do have good sales. On top of that, if you use their Lowes store credit card to pay, you always get an additional 5% off your purchase. I have had to make returns occasionally because of various reasons such as too many of an item purchased or an item wasn't quite right for my project or on rare occasions, factory defective merchandise. I have never had a problem with returns. This store seems to be well managed. read more

Hope you don't have the unfortunate luck we did on a return and have to deal with the assistant manager Tom. Bought a vacuum on black Friday, brush head wouldn't spin. The store wanted to give us what we paid $99 as store credit and then told us to go online and buy it again. Problem was the vacuum is $150 online. Why would we pay more for a vacuum then what we did originally for an item that didn't work properly? Tom and his associates couldn't understand why we felt we shouldn't pay more. Not sure if they were just stupid or playing dumb to get us out of the store. Took 45 minutes until they finally ordered the vacuum for us online at the cost we paid and shipped it to our house. This process shouldn't of been so difficult. Tom was more concerned why the other store sold us the vacuum at the price we paid. Flower and outdoor department staff are terrible. Closed isles and couldn't shop as the workers were too busy talking with one another. The staff never bothered to check to see if the forklift was finished in the isle. Myself and another customer waited so long. Staff acted as if they could care less. No heavy duty carts to transport heavy concrete pavers. Staff said customers must have the carts. I walked in the parking lot and through the department for a heavy cart. None seen. I purchased a light that didn't work. All the lights of the model I wanted looked used so I really wasn't surprised but I live over an hour away so very disappointed. I asked if the store could test one before I did this again and they said if it has a plug "I could find a plug to test it out" I was surprised the assistant manager and electrical team lead didn't know the answer to that. If any electrical was needed they said we don't do that. No apology and when I told them those on the shelf were used they didn't seem to care. I spoke with an assistant manager who said the same thing and again really didn't care about used lights they were selling at full price. He did offer a suggestion however, I could take another one home and test it out and if that doesn't work take another one home, etc, etc. Basically he allowed me to test all of there lights one at a time from my home. He stated they didn't have testing equipment in the store. ????? testing equipment ????? what does he think this is rocket science or something ????? Neither associate apologized for the inconvenience or cared about removing the used lights from the shelves. For all I know the light I purchased is now on the shelf as well. I blame the store manger and Lowe's for more then these associates for allowing people in supervisory position with no customer service skills in the store. The electrical lead started yelling at me about even asking someone to test the light out ? I think Lowes should take a long look at the reviews on this site about the store. Worst experience in any store ever. No exaggeration. I went to the Transit Road Lowes to purchase an Ego battery-powered lawnmower. There were no boxes on the floor beneath the model I wanted, but there were several boxes on a very high shelf. Two salesmen rudely tried to convince me that the model I wanted was not on the shelf, even though they couldn't see the model number from that distance. However, the specs (battery amperage, run time, torque) were very clearly displayed on each box, and those specs are different for each of the four Ego models. I explained that to them, but they insisted I was wrong (even though there was a large tag in front of each display model proving I was correct). They were quite put out that they might have to bring a ladder to look. A third salesman (Bill) wandered into the scene and tried to sell me a model that I didn't want (conveniently for them, there were several of those on the floor). Meanwhile one of the original two associates climbed the ladder and conceded that I was right - that several of the boxes high up on the shelf were the mower I wanted. Almost immediately, the three associates began to complain that they now had to find a power lift. While waiting for the lift, I politely asked Bill if he wouldn't mind bringing down one of the boxes that was not visibly damaged. Bill responded that they shouldn't need to do that, and then dramatically tore off his store vest and yelled "I'm going to lunch before before things get out of hand!". Say what??? This jerk was trying to intimidate me because I preferred NOT to spend $599 on a mower that was in a damaged box??? I turned and walked out. What kind of store hires childish, lazy men who are so aggressively ignorant and potentially violent? BTW, after this little slice of hell I drove to the OP Lowes, expecting the worst. I went into the mower department where ALL the mowers were off the floor and up on high shelves. A very pleasant associate retrieved the model I wanted (none of which were in boxes that looked like they were pierced by a forklift) from the highest shelf, placed it on a small cart, and directed me to a very pleasant cashier (who managed to find a second $100 discount for me). After the sale was completed the cashier (Chrystal) quickly identified another associate to load the heavy box in my vehicle. I looked online for an item (replacement key for my snowblower) and it told me they had 4 in stock and it also told me what aisle and bay number they were located in. Since I was about to head out that way for dinner, I stopped here on the way. The customer service was nightmarish. I feel like I have been severely harassed by arish and his female worker that did not have a name tag on. I tried to do an exchange on craftsman tools for the life time warranty. But as the lady told me I can't exchange "rusty tools" because they seem to be "not taken care of". And then continued to tell me I miss treat my tools and aggressively argue with me. When in reality there is little rust on them always kept in my garage and has minor rust from scratch's on it. Being disabled, I use the powered shopping carts. On this visit, I purchased 4 - 5ft. pieces of 1/2" PVC pipe, along with 6 - 2ft. pieces of 1/2" PVC pipe and some PVC elbows. At the Self check I struggled to scan the different lengths of pipe with them falling back into the cart. Well within 3 ft. of me was an Associate who was running the Self check out leaning on a display when I looked up as I was struggling with the PVC pipe. She was looking right at me. So you would think she would of come over to help me, seeing I had multiple pieces. NOPE! She stood there leaning and watching, only to come over to scan her badge after me hitting the "skip bagging" button so many times. I was furious! Thank goodness Home Depot is closer to my house. Lowes sold me a used Bosch drill set and employee Bronson at 8150 Transit Rd in Williamsville, NY refused a return claiming I "put the used drills there" and that the box was "factory sealed." Lies have no legs. Lowe's is claiming Bosch factory seals USED drills? Or did Lowe's re-shelve a return and discount the product for someone else to buy? Horrific costumer service and management of returns. The product was attempted return same day, which falls within the 30 day period. I was not completely satisfied with my product because it was dirty, defective, and clearly already used. The box did not have any indication that the product was damaged. At Lowe's returns desk I encountered a lack of customer service skills, compassion, lack of listening skills, and inability to problem solve by Lowe's staff. They refused to offer any guidance on rectifying the problem, and walked away. I am extremely disappointed by the quality of this product, and disappointed by the behavior, accusations, and service by staff at this location. The lack of compassion and communicativeness is disheartening.  I returned to this store location with Rose from Bosch customer support on the phone on speaker, who went out of her way to offer to speak to them. I have opened a ticket with them. Bosch told me that they guarantee returns and exchanges within 30 days and offered to help by speaking to the returns department for a replacement or full return. The manager in after Bronson at 7pm REFUSED to speak to Bosch, stating "no I don't have to" and "no I don't want to" and "Bronson said no." He also said "then tell Bosch to replace it for you."  This is unacceptable behavior. It is unprofessional to talk over people and walk away from them. Why did he not try to help with a solution and negotiate with the Bosch employee? Incredibly careless, arrogant attitudes toward customers.  I encountered rude, demeaning, behavior by your staff at Lowe's. The Bosch employee heard the entire exchange via a recorded phone line and she was understanding and apologetic about my poor treatment by Lowe's staff, as well as confused that they refused to speak to her or off er a reason for return refusal.  Bosch promised they would get the situation rectified, and I had excellent service with Rose at Bosch USA. I am so grateful for Bosch's quick responses, and excellent customer care. I am disappointed by the training of staff at Lowes. read more

I Purchased a $4000 zero turn mower. I've been waiting weeks for delivery and they can't seem to get it done. So I told the guy I would come and pick it up myself. I'd rather hammer my thumb than set foot in a home improvement store. But with Father's Day on the horizon, I headed to Lowe's on Maple and Transit Road for the purpose of purchasing a gas string trimmer I'd seen online. I was pretty sure of the make and model, but then that information somehow got zapped from my mind when I entered the big box store and was impressed with bright lights and accessories and general overstimulation. Thank goodness Paul showed up, in his red vest. I think of customer service these days as a prominent sign that reads CUSTOMER SERVICE, as in the place you check out. And half the time, you check yourself out, if you can get through that process without Electronic Nancy asking if you want to "skip bagging". Paul actually asked if he could help me. At first, I figured what does Paul know about weed-wackers? My bad. He knew a lot. He was very knowledgeable about the models and even suggested a particular one since HoneyDo has a bum shoulder, so he recommended the lighter version. Plus, it was on sale. After picking up the box, Paul had a really good idea. He walked me to the drill bit do-dad that will save impinged-shoulder-man the trouble of yanking the cord. I walked out spending less than I budgeted for with a machine that will make one father especially ecstatic. Who says customer service is gone? I'd return to this Lowe's in a heartbeat, even if Tool World is not my favorite stuff to browse. read more

Second time in May - I have shown my blue (30 years of active service) retired ID with lowe's military card and was told - that "we don't recognize that" and the other time told I have to have a Lowe's CC to attach the information to and my spouse has to be present to buy (YEAH REALLY - I'm the combat vet you backwards human being and I don't need a spouse present thank you very much). According to LOWE's own website - all you have to do is present ID with the mylowe's account connect --- no credit cards required, no spouse (who wasn't in the military by the way). I visited this store today and had a bad experience. I went through the self check out and I was treated like I was a criminal. I spoke to the manager and he told me this is their policy. I was the only one in line there was no other customers there and I had four people Almost around me to make sure I didn't steal anything. This store used to be good but not anymore. My advice is to stay away from the store. I'm going to pay my bill and not visiting Lowe's anymore. I'll go to Home Depot. The lady stood so close to me. After a rough beginning, they all made the experience way better than anticipated from the first impression. Tiffany, John and ms. Mgr. went out of their way to help, assess the product for a very undecided customer helping him to choose without hesitation. (THANK GOD! I ordered a 6 burner grill online to have it assembled for me. I am a 50 year old women. It took about 2 or 3 days to assemble which was great! I went to pick it up and they bring it out. I asked if I could get help loading it into my car. They send out a lady in her 40s. So here are two older ladies are trying to load a 6 burner grill into my van. We ended up dropping it on my foot. Refer to The lady at the end cuts her hand open. Not realizing how bad she cut it but there's a good amount of blood left in my van and on the grill. As pulling out I realized a dent in the grill. It is not a small dent and is very noticeable (picture attached). I asked if I could get a new one or some sort of compensation for this. They would not look at the photo and made me bring in the grill. I asked for help and they said they could not because of covid. I unload the grill on my own struggling until a stranger was kind enough to help. He asked why I didn't ask Lowe's to help. I explained that I did and they refused because of covid but they were okay with sending a female out to help load it. Finally I get it inside and they said there is nothing they can do. If I wanted a new one it would be 2 weeks because they are now out of stock. I asked if I could get some sort of discount since the product is damaged and they said no. I am appalled but the service I received today. There should never be a customer who is left to unload a grill on their own causing them to get hurt. Or employee that should have to get hurt on the job. I hope this employee made a complaint because it is not fair to her that she's stuck doing a job like that alone. When I asked where all the strong men are she said "doing nothing like always". But even more upset that Lowe's thought it was okay to say my product was ready when it was noticeably damaged. If they would have just said their was a delay I wouldn't have minded waiting but the fact I drove out there just to have to deal with all of this is very unprofessional. I was stuck with a small car and I needed lumber for a project, I came in and spent over $100.00 in lumber to have cut in proper length on Saturday 5-9-2020 around 1:30 PM, Mind you I never done this before because I normaly cut my own lumber you know measure twice cut once, Anyway a younger gentlemen came to cut my lumber for me. He was maybe in his mid to late 20's with longer hair, Tall and thin. He seemed nice and it appeared he measured the wood to the lengths properly to what I needed but low and behold I came home they are all different lengths!!!!!! I'm not loaded with money this money was saved for a long time to do a project and this kid destroyed most of it! Had an extremely poor experience at Lowe's at Transit & Maple Rds yesterday. I brought about $60 worth of small items to the Self Checkout. This included about a dozen items-paintbrushes, stain, scraper,etc. I asked the attendant where the bags were and she replied that they didn't have any. Incredulous answer so I asked if they had a box to which she replied they didn't have any. At this point, I was so astonished at the lack of effort in trying to assist me that I simply walked out and went to Home Depot about a mile south on Transit Rd. What an unbelievable difference! I was asked by two different associates if I needed help and I was able to quickly find my needed items and then proceeded to self checkout. Guess what- they had bags--free bags--so I was able to walk out of the store a very happy customer! Would it have been that difficult for the Lowe's attendant to offer to help me carry my items out to my vehicle or let me borrow the bucket that I carried my items in to take out to my car and return? Their lack of genuine customer service has created a new lifetime customer for Home Depot! read more

We have been to Lowes a ton over the last two year and for a major company really rock my socks! Everyone is always so friendly and informative. Most of them are very honest and will not sell you something you do not need and even find you better prices on stuff when you are on a budget. We are on our second move in 2 years and found a great little townhouse that really suites us, but before we can settle into our new home must make sure our old apartment is ready to go. I didn't need much from Lowes for the old place besides some cleaning supplies and such. As we got to spackling some of our old nail holes I started thing about stuff we needed to fix up our new place and make it comfortable, like blinds for our bedroom and new wood screws for my daughter's bed. We also needed some goo gone for our old livingroom and Mr. Clean magic erasers. We also had a dilemma with our dryer and have to rewire it to be able to plug it in alright and also get piping for the back of the dryer for the exhaust. It is a little odd in our house the way it's set up, but a Lowes employee stopped us and found we needed help. He didn't know where one of the pieces was so he asked his associate and we were headed the right way in minutes. He found us our adapter for the exhaust tubing and gave us some great options to make the situation more efficient. My dad says he started shopping at Lowe's because of their every day discount for veterans, but continues going there because of their service. I must say that since I started coming to Lowe's, I haven't thought about the other big name home improvement store in orange. I've found that the employee's are always happy to help. In fact I've noticed that almost all their employees are accommodating, welcoming and knowledgeable. I'd like to give a shout out of thanks to Dave the new manager in plumbing. As a regular employee gave some stellar advice about now to restore some molding in our old apartments bathroom. The bad thing about coming to Lowe's is that once I enter, it triggers a primal need/urge to build and DIY. While it sounds awesome, it often means that I spend entirely too much here. As a whole this is store waffles from being my favorite to my second favorite Hardware store depending on what is needed. read more
