I had the New York strip and it was cooked to perfection. My wife had the grilled chicken sandwich and I have to say never in my life have I had a chicken sandwich with this much flavor. It was 11 stars out of 10. The restaurant itself is clean and very comfortable. The service was spot on. Our waitress was great on service however, the whole time she was taking our order and all throughout service she was chewing bubblegum. That's a big no-no for me. Call me old school but when I'm talking to you, you shouldn't be chomping on gum. That's the only reason it's a 4 out of 5 stars. It's not her fault, that falls on management. My husband and I had not been here in 20 plus years.. we got a coupon in CLIPP so went tonight. Great crab fondue, same for the smash burger, great tomato bisque and super ceasar salad. Downside, server was just ok. He took care of our needs but again just ok. We rarely go out to dinner but love wine when we do but at $12.00 a glass?! That was a super let down ! It was good but that's ridiculous. With this economy, we want a dinner and a glass of wine but that's unaffordable. The Brasserie was an unexpected gem on the outskirts of Lancaster. The drinks were great, and the food even better. I had the steamed mussels, and the sauce was amazing. Both of my companions had the crab cakes, with roasted potatoes and mixed veggies. They loved it all. My husband stumbled upon this place when trying to make a reservation for dinner tonight. Such a cool place! There's inside dining as well as a huge deck outback that is so relaxing. Our server, Jake, was awesome! He was so attentive even though he got busy and was super quick to answer any questions. The gentleman who was delivering food was so sweet and made sure we had everything each time. The drinks were cold and refreshing. We started with the crab fondue which was different but flavorful. We couldn't get enough. We also started with the wings. They were the perfect size and the sauce was delish. The beet salad was big so thank god we shared it but again really good. I got the fish and chips and what a big portion. My husband got the grilled cheese and soup which he loved. The chocolate cake was SO good and I'm not even a dessert person. We were staying in PA for the weekend and we came here to celebrate a birthday. My particular dish was terrific. Although 3 of us got the same dish, I think I loved it most. I think if you like the briny taste of artichoke hearts and capers you will probably love it too. It was the salmon with angel hair pasta and sun-dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts and capers. Hubby got a pasta dish with sausage and peppers, and he was disappointed. I think they didn't put enough sauce in the dish and the flavor was just lacking. We got three types of wings. To me, the wings were mediocre tasting although crispy. FYI the hot honey wings are not spicy. My nephew got the burger and he loved it. I don't usually leave reviews, but the Brasserie was so good, I had to take the time and leave one. We stopped Friday, mid-afternoon. Hadn't been there in years. We had wonderful service and the food was fantastic. I have to give a special thanks to our server. Her name is Sam and she is spectacular. An example of going above and beyond, was I asked about the Prime Rib listed on the menu for Friday knowing it was probably only available after a certain time. Sam actually went to the chef and asked if he could do it, and they could! As a result I had one of the best pieces of Prime Rib I've had in many years! It was perfect. My husband had a special called Pasta Rustica, and really loved it as well. We will definitely return more frequently to The Brasserie! read more

This is a shout out to Chad who served our party of 9 in a private room. We were entertaining people we had not seen in years and everyone had a great time. Chad was a fantastic server.He was patient with us even though he had to tell the specials three times because some of our party were a little late. and at one point he even checked in to see if the room temperature was good for us. I've been intending to write this review for a while and just didn't get around to it until now. I took my father here for Thanksgiving dinner. We had the latest seating reservation which was 4:00. The place was not too crowded, parking was fairly easy, and we were seated immediately. The place was clean and service was friendly. We both placed our orders but they were out of quite a bit of the Thanksgiving menu by the time we ordered. They were generous enough to offer anything on the regular menu for the same price as their Thanksgiving meal. When the meal arrived we were delighted. Everything tasted amazingly good, it was hot, and it was appetizing in appearance. Did I mention the food was delicious? It was incredible! And large portions and a very good price, too! The only reason I am giving them 4 stars is because they ran out of so much. That was poor planning. They had an idea how many people o expect because of reservations. But, I will definitely be taking Dad back for his birthday in a couple of weeks. It was well worth the 20 minute drive. read more

This place changed hands and the food is so much better! The drinks are good, we often order the kebabs and they're great. However, when ordering take out I would suggest ordering from the manager. The staff is somewhat incompetent and they get it wrong every time! Their computer system can't take special requests even though they say they're putting it in. We recently had my Mom's repast luncheon at The Brasserie and our experience could not have been any better. This is not the easiest party for a restaurant as we can't guarantee the number of guests nor could we say the exact time we would be there but the Brasserie staff just took that in stride. The food was excellent. I was pleasantly surprised as it can be hard to execute for so many people but we had the shoulder steak, chicken piccata and the pasta rustica and everyone raved about the food. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was as warm and inviting. Special thanks to Manager, Eric, who made certain the details were taken care of and was attentive to everyone's needs. You can tell there is new management! The menu is always diverse with multiple chef specials. The bar has been upgraded with better wine choices. When we've gone lately the portions are pretty large and we've always brought home a box. The last time we are there our server convinced us to try the dessert. We were not disappointed! My table and I enjoyed our time there so for the most part it's a good experience. However, the environment was definitely dated. When my husband and I first moved to Lancaster, more than 10 years ago, this was our go-to bar for drinks and a quick bite. Over time, the food quality and service declined, and we stopped going. But in the past year, I've been reintroduced, and am pleased to see the restaurant has been restored to its former glory. I've stopped by for just drinks, lunch, and dinner, and have been pleased with both the food and the service every time. There are plenty of different seating areas -- the bar, high tops near the bar, regular tables in the back, and a nice outdoor seating space for nice, summer nights. The decor is mostly at-home-comfort -- nothing fancy, but always clean. During the day, it's seat yourself, but when things pick up in the evenings, there's usually a hostess who will help seat you. My go-too orders for lunch are the Big BLT and the Pressed Cuban sandwich -- big meals that will leave you satisfied and pair well with the beers that are on tap. For dinner, I'm a fan of the beef tips and moonshine ribs. Shout out to Jo at the bar and Allie who has served me and coworkers multiple times, always with a smile. In fact, the only complaint I have is that there aren't enough local and seasonal beers on rotation for my taste -- I know the crowd here is more retirees than hipsters, but having a few options (other than the occasional Troegs IPA) for younger patrons who enjoy something stronger than Miller or Yards, would go a long way. read more

OMG, this place is seriously AMAZING. Too bad I'm from Lebanon and it's way too far of a drive for me. I love that they have a bar connected to the restaurant. They have karaoke too, and a couple bars inside. I was with a group of maybe 20 people, and our food came extremely fast. They have different drink specials. They have a big separate, private room that a party can sit in, like we did. Their bathrooms weren't really that great. Kinda dirty when I was there. But their menu had a lot of variety on it. I decided to get two appetizers which for the amount of food I received seemed cheap to me. The clams were to die for and the brucsetta (I know, I messed that up) was incredibly good. Our waitress who took care of everyone was so on point. A person that was beside me said they ordered a specific thing before but they took it off the menu - they were nice enough to make it for him. The brasserie is a spot my family enjoys visiting every summer, mainly for the fun patio out back! Unfortunately it started raining on the day we were dining, so we ended up sitting inside. I started with a Moscow mule and it was subpar - not sure if they didn't have the right ginger beer but something tasted a bit off. My entree however was very good! I had the crab cake with tomato bisque and a side salad. The crab cake was mostly crab and not a lot of filler, and the soup was super creamy. Our server was friendly however I remember her mask was below her nose most of the time. Definitely a good spot to check out for a good patio/outdoor dining, but during COVID I was just a little weary of how strictly safety precautions were being taken during my visit. read more

Holy freaking wow... Meals: Appetizer - cheesesteak rolls. Slightly over fried (but I'm talking like 20 seconds, nothing major) the marinara comes out STEAMING and is delicious. Dinner - fillet medallions. The sauce that come with them is SUPER salty...get it on the side. Other than that, perfection. So tender and delicious. Sides- veggie medley and mashed potatoes. Mashed were buttery and the perfect amount of slightly lumpy 10/10. Veggies ironically could have used a little salt. Lobster Mac with tomato bisque and side salad. 10/10 everything. Soup amazing...a little awkward with the first few bites of cheese, just stir it in. The salad, on point mix of greens. Ranch, creamy and great. BEST FRENCH ONION SOUP!!! I try french onion soup everywhere I go and this is the absolute best! I also had a salad with steak and cheese fries. An odd combination, but perfect for someone who is indecisive and was delicious. The ranch served with it was great, the steak was cooked very well as well! The staff was a little slow to take drink orders at the beginning and it wasn't super busy. But they were very helpful and friendly once arrived! Not Covid safe. The menus were reused paper menus and dirty. The seating was not appropriately spaced. There wasn't buffer tables in between. Food is good, not the best for dine in. read more
