Another great day in central New Mexico - done with St. Patrick's Day and tomorrow we go to another restaurant. In the meantime, here's where we went last week. Loyola's Family Restaurant on Central near Washington. We really enjoyed the great food here, the friendly service (Mike introduced us to the best waitress in all of New Mexico), and a nice family-style ambiance that invites you to overstay. I really wish I would have taken a picture of the menu or my food but it happened so fast when my waiter told me the special I ordered and handed it back. Carne Adoba, eggs and potatoes and a pancake. I didn't leave a morsel behind. Loved the atmosphere! Lots of happy patrons. A huge menu, breakfast served all day sort of. No dinner served. Can't believe I've never been here but I will certainly return.

Food was so good. Our server was so nice and patient and I love the diner look and feel. One of our new favorite spots.

Went for breakfast after a year or so not being back. The flavor of the food, the waitstaff has remained the same. The quality continues to be amazing. The food comes out hot and fast. The green chile is definetly much spicer than the red, but the red chile has an amazing flavor. I ordered the huevos rancheros with eggs over medium. My husband ordered his usual (2 eggs over medium, sourdough toast, sausage and a side of green chile). The wait staff kept up on the ice tea. The food is priced right. I highly recommend if you want food that tastes just like grandmas.

Very friendly and attentive service! The red and green were milder than I like but still tasty. Portions were average and not huge like many other places here in the Duke city.

While driving through New Mexico on our Route 66 trip we read in our guide book that Loyola's Family Restaurant was a great place to eat, so we gave it a try and were glad we did. When we walked in we were immediately greeted and seated. I ordered Super Breakfast Burrito and my wife ordered the Mexican Breakfast both came with red and green sauce. We also ordered 4 Sopapillas. Everything was great and we also had a great waiter. The place was immaculately clean even the bathrooms. One other bonus this restaurant was used in several films and the series Breaking Bad. There were several photos on the wall of actors who had been inside the building filming. This was a great place to visit. We will definitely be back.

The food and service was amazing, fast, kind, and friendly! We had Shannon as our server and he was so lovely, we were checked in on just the right amount. Can't speak highly enough of the food, we will be back.

It's another Breaking Bad/ Better Call Saul location. We came on a Wednesday at 8:30 am, plenty of parking and we had the pick of the place if we wanted to sit in the "Better Call Saul" booth. The restaurant is known for their pozole (according to an article posted on the cashier booth) yet everyone seems to get the breakfast burrito, Christmas style. As much as I was craving pozole, I went with the breakfast burrito, bacon, Christmas style. Stephen went with the same but with chorizo. The waitress said the green chili can be a bit spicy, and she was right. It doesn't hit you until you're chewing, and then you feel the heat. I mixed the green and red to cool it down. It's still delicious, but I swear my tastebuds are still tingling. The burrito filled me up until dinner... no lunch for me.

We haven't been here in a while. We both had huevos Rancheros with green chile (one on the side). They are so fast at getting your food out hot and fresh. Quality is so consistent. Staff is always friendly. Love feeling at home with home cooked food. If you haven't tried this local gem, it's a must!

The best red chile enchiladas, refries, rice, and sopapillas. Traditional, satisfying New Mexican food. Friendly, efficient servers.

The food was amazing, my mom and I both got enchiladas which we both loved. The service was a little slow but they were busy.

One of the best staples in Albuquerque, great food and service. Ask for Shannon. The Carne special on Saturday mornings is a must try.

Expensive! A beef burrito a-la-cart = $15.99 that's it, no beans, no rice, no egg, nothing... just a burrito with beef and green chili.

Ordered cold beer and cocktails after we were seated inside Lotsa flies.....we get it....pretty much an open-air restaurant this time of year They did set a spinner on our table which helped. Was decently cool inside too I have been wanting to try their Kizer beef and pork offerings so i threw down on a cheeseburger (hard to not order New Mexican food here) But that burger was perfect! Delicious I recommend and was plenty big Of course i dropped a big spoonful of green chile on it And the green chile strip appetizer was outstanding Summer at El Pinto. Enjoy!

This place has amazing vibe, livelihood, and outdoor, cute seating areas. The place looks vibrant…read moreand lively. But the overall food is average. I had the house special chili ribs and the ribs aren't flavorful. There is no distinctive taste to these ribs but chilied. But since the chili is tasteless themselves, it doesn't contribute to the overall flavor of the ribs anyway. 2/5 Stuff sopadillas with beef is very large and filling. For the lunch menu, the price is rather affordable for how much food I ordered. The tastes? I can't tell because it is comparable to any other restaurants. Nothing really stands out to me. 4/5 The regular sopadilla with honey as a side dish is amazing and you can't really go wrong with sopadilla and honey 5/5. Chips and salsa is continuously refilled as requested. Overall service is average, with water refill being done per request, not automatically. I personally would take tourists here to experience the cute vibe of New Mexico that this restaurant gives: a cute brunch with the ladies, a nice hang out and gathering with friends.
