I called many artists but some were too expensive, some didn't have great work, some were not available on my wedding weekend... in the end, I ended up going to Ai because her price is right, her reviews are superb, and (after I met her) I realized I felt 100% confident and comfortable with her ability to make me feel my best. For the trial, I wasn't 100% sure how to describe the look I wanted... I tried describing it with printed out images and random descriptions but somehow, Ai was able to decipher all of the cryptic clues I gave her and made me look exactly as I wanted. She did 2 looks at the trial and either would have made me the happiest bride on earth. On my actual wedding day, Ai showed up early (a Godsend as it took longer than believed to set up) with her team to do 9 people's hair and makeup. Not only was the schedule perfectly coordinated, all of the girls looked absolutely gorgeous and perfect. I really credit Ai's team for an A+ job. They were so professional and amazing - would whole heartedly recommend them to any bride. I personally felt like Ai went above and beyond for my own hair and makeup... she took her time and took care of every single detail. At our trial, I used Ai's website and "the knot" to show her different hairstyles that I liked. She was really good at interpreting my many vague descriptions and they VERY FIRST hairstyle she tried on me I loved. Also, she typically applies the make up for a "natural" look first, and then adds more for a "dramatic" look. The natural look already felt like a lot to me, so Ai kept my make-up as is, and then did a beautiful down style for me to use on my engagement shoot later that day. Ai told me she only trusts herself to cut hair, so she told me to come to her hair salon about a week before the wedding so she could give me a bang trim. The salon was really cute and the bang trim was perfect and ended up great with the hairstyle! The day of the wedding, Ai was AWESOME! It took about 2 hours, but my hair and make-up stayed in place and lasted through all the pictures, hugs, and kisses, till I got home and took everything out. I still looked like me, but everything was pretty and bridal and glow-y. :) Ai ended up being one of my favorite vendors and is totally worth it! Throughout the planning process they were extremely responsive, clear, and professional. If you've planned an event before, you know how helpful this is! My wedding was in the early afternoon, so my stylist, Shei, had to show up very early. But she was so kind and cheery that you would never have known how early it was. She was a pleasure to work with, and she did an amazing job with everyone's hair!

She did reply to me via email the next day which I appreciated and I replied back to hers. I welcomed the opportunity to speak more about my experience however I haven't heard from her. I didn't understand how her response was so prompt before but wasn't after my response. I went onto Instagram to only find out that she blocked me. As the Founder/CEO (who I didn't harass, curse out, or use any derogatory words towards her) to block someone after a complaint especially after stating in her email that "I would have loved to show you a true beautini experience as I would never want you to walk away with a bad taste in your mouth" is shocking, disheartening, and clearly was written with no real follow up. And yes the CEO blocked me because I asked someone else to see if they can click her name under the Beautini bio (which I cannot) and see if they can see the posts (which I cannot). I cannot even click on her website. This action in itself shows me 2 things: 1: The Founder/CEO does not like when a customer is truly honest about services rendered/lack of services by her employees and 2. Beautini is not about fixing the problem (in my case this is true) and would rather say they're sorry and not show they're sorry. Of course not everyone's experience is the same and I do wish Beautini's future customers a better experience than mine (whether at a bridal event or on the wedding day itself.)

I stupidly stopped researching for other makeup and hair (definitely get backups if you're going with bridalgal just in case). However, a new contact for the same date as my wedding came in (that was obviously larger than mine). We were asked to put a deposit to hold the date above the other contract - fair enough so far. At first I said I wanted to do a trial before locking in a $3500 contract. Bridalgal was like ok, but I will let others book your date (2-3 weeks before trial). That was the first wtf moment, where I was just like why would I bet on something and potentially not be able to book them for my wedding. I agreed to pay full for hair and makeup for the bride to lock the contract, but I wasn't sure about what other people would need hair and makeup as my mother-in-law was arranging something separate for the 20+ aunts (Indian wedding). I thought I would just setup the payment for the bride and figure out the other people later (this is way before the trial btw when not knowing what kind of service I would be getting, not being able to show my mom and mother-in-law the results, and the bridal hair + makeup is ~$1500 by itself as I remember). After I offered that, we immediately got dropped with a message equivalent of "you're not paying enough. See yah" about 2 months out from the wedding. After I responded with a "wtf" to that message, bridalgal threatened me that she had all the messages and documentation available. We still haven't secured a new makeup and hairstylist for my wedding ~1.5 months out. While it could be viewed as "just business" and not strictly problematic, I would say that you should perhaps think about whether this is the vibe you want around you for your wedding planning, or if you're not 100% sure about what deposit you need for your wedding party, look elsewhere. We most likely would have booked more people as plans cemented, but I thought a $1500 deposit would've been enough pre-trial. I didn't go through an actual service as we were not paying enough (clearly). Our phone consultation seemed fine and I'm sure whatever makeup/hair people work for the manager are probably great (if you have enough money put down up front and can beat other contracts).

She was a great listener and was happy to offer tips and advice with regards to the look I was going for. She took notes on what I liked and didn't like about the trial, and was more than adequately prepared for the wedding day. I loved my hair & makeup, as did my maid of honor. Sissi is prompt & personable, and delivered more than I could've asked for. She even gave me suggestions for other artists when I frantically emailed her 3 days prior to the wedding day, when my mom changed her arrangements about her hair & makeup!
