3 Meat 3 Sides meal for $55 plus tax (over priced, not good)

Our first and last visit to this place. We paid $66 (including tax) for the 3 meat and 3 sides meal. Now, right away I thought it was a bit expensive buuuut, let's give it a try.... I was shocked when we were handed 1 box which contained 2 thighs, 2 ribs, a few slices of brisket, and a scoop each of Mac&Cheese, beans and potato salad. WOW!!! That's IT for $66.00 !!!!! NO WAY!! I have been to many BBQ spots around here, and in other states, but have never paid so much for such small portions. When I said, "that's it???" the man replied "yeah, ribs are $5 each" Woooow lol okay, let's see. This must be some GOOD bbq. Well, the first thing I noticed (after noticing the small portions), was that the meat was drenched in sauce. Good bbq meat doesn't need sauce. I like a little sauce on my bbq but I want to taste the meat (as I'm sure most people do). FOOD: Brisket - dry but had good smoke flavor Chicken thighs - dry and burnt Ribs - good texture but so much sauce I couldn't taste the meat Potato salad - very bland Beans - bland Mac&Cheese - dried out with an odd cream sauce poured on top I'm sorry but this wasn't even decent. I would not recommend this BBQ spot Posted is a picture of the 3 meat 3 sides, just as I received it. Yes, I should have turned around and asked for a refund based on the skimpy portion sizes for that amount$ but I wanted to give it a try ((sigh))

Hands down the best BBQ in tukwila. Portions of food is very fare for the amount charged.

This place is really, really good! They definitely have stepped there game up in recent years. I…read morehave been here multiple times over the years both after golfing or just coming to the restaurant only. They have a big menu with multiple food and drink options. They have good smoked meats and foods containing smoked pork, brisket and chicken. The nachos are yummmmy as well as many other items likes burgers, tacos, appetizers, etc. The staff is always friendly as well! Have an on-point mural on the wall of Caddyshack (my favorite golf movie of all time) that is so realistic. I would recommend this place!

Nice entryway/lobby area. The restaurant itself (and bar) is cozily set up, booths and tables, and charming art work from the movie "Caddy Shack" - loved that! Our server noticed us immediately, was efficient and friendly the entire time, and also makes a mean Billy's Cooler - a very refreshing citrus drink. The brisket sandwich was tops, the fries were good, the loaded potatoes are a fun option (the bacon was a little hard to eat - not crunchy, not soft). The main upset was the French Onion Soup, which was, let's just say, not their specialty area. It was overwhelmingly salty, with meager bread to soak up the broth. The server was kind enough to take it off our bill - it was, at least for me, inedible. My spouse thought the same. This was a glitch in an otherwise fine evening. Also notable was that, even though we came in about an hour before close, they never made us felt rushed. We will definitely go back for the ambience and try other menu items - and other drinks. A nice relaxing spot.

GEN KOREAN BBQ @ SOUTHCENTER MALL…read more Parking is super easy at this location since it's in the Southcenter Mall, with plenty of free parking available. We found a spot right out front, and it's nice that you can also walk around the mall before or after your meal since there are lots of other shops and restaurants nearby. This was my first time trying JEN Korean BBQ with my family, and I was excited since I'd heard they have several locations across the U.S. We came for dinner, which is about $35 per person for the all-you-can-eat menu, while weekday lunch is around $25 per person, making it a great value if you're looking for AYCE Korean BBQ. They have a great selection of meats, plus plenty of appetizers. The corn cheese was definitely one of my favorites and is always a must-order for me. Everything came out fresh, and there were lots of options to choose from. The staff was friendly, attentive, and quick to bring out refills. I also really liked the ambiance the darker interior gives the restaurant a cozy, modern feel that's perfect for enjoying a meal with family or friends. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely come back. If you enjoy Korean BBQ, this is a fun spot where you can cook your own food, try a variety of meats and sides, and eat as much as you want. It's a great place for groups, family dinners, or anyone craving all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ.

I stopped in about 30 mins after they opened on a friday and they had a lunch rush, everything is cooked to order so be prepared to wait at least 20mins. I ordered the 6oz catfish and chips which came with 3 catfish strips, fries, 1 hush puppy, chips and a drink ($16.99) I also got a side of mac&cheese. The positives: staff was kind, pastor at the counter would make jokes with customers and you could tell they had regulars during lunch time. Fries were well seasoned, hush puppy was good and Mac was acceptable. My only issue with the catfish was that it was overcooked and became a bit chewy (see photo). Sitting in there it seems like the wings were a customer favorite so I would love to go back and try their wings and other sides. Since my order took longer (there was a large order right before mines) the pastor at the counter thanked me for my patience and threw in a dessert.

The place is quaint and the people are friendly. And the food here delivers in every possible way. If you appreciate Soul Food and/or Southern Food then this is the place for you. The cabbage here was everything I could ever ask for. I wanted more when I was done. The Mac & cheese didn't look like much to me but man did it serve on tastes. It was cheesy, seasoned and cooked just right. The fried chicken was cooked fresh and seasoned to perfection. My breast was still juicy and piping hot. Call ahead for to go orders or you'll spend your time waiting for the chicken to be fried. The peach cobbler here is not my preferred way to have as I like a pie crust with mine but oh my goodness, I took one bite and couldn't stop savoring this dessert. Do yourself and get you some. Open Fridays & Saturdays, and the menu slightly rotates weekly so check their website ( southerngrill1.com ) to check menu and confirm hours. This place is everything and more that I could ever ask for when it comes to good ole soul food.
