There was no rodent damage to the unit, only evidence that it was old and worn out. Your technician was blatantly incompetent on this call and it's great that he is no longer with you anymore. However, it was not handled the way it should have been, caused problems I should not have had to deal with and I will continue to share my experience with others. Prepaid a repair request in the amount of $108. Service rep came with inadequate tools to look at repairing our clothes washer. Did not run, operate, open, unlock, unscrew, or do anything to the washer. Said he didn't have the right tool. He called his "supervisor", and they decided that we needed new parts and labor in the amount of over $500 without making any effort to actually validate the problem. Total waste of $100. Had Lubbock Appliance Center come fix my gas range a little over a year ago. Problem was fixed, or so I thought. Same problem occurred a month ago. Come to find out the first technician put in the wrong part. Owner said he would pay for the right part, but that was all. Which he did, but I was out the $150 x 2 for the payment for them to just show up on the two different occasions and the two charges for installing the two different parts. Had the job been done right the first time, I would not have had to pay an extra $310. read more

I called Lubbock Appliance service center as my washing machine had overflowed when I turned on the hot water. They wanted my credit card number before they would make an appointment. This was $108.00 I thought for the service call. After the repair man replaced the water mixing valve, he said I owed $176.18 for labor and parts. It was not explained to me when I made the appointment, I would be charged $108.00 for diagnostic and $108.00 for labor when I explained this to the manager the next day, he was very rude. As I would not have made the appointment if I knew this. When I called the service manager and told him my washing machine makes a vibrating sound when I turn on the hot water, he said he would have to charge me the $108.00 diagnostic charge if they came out as it could be the pipes vibrating. We pre ordered a stove. We knew it would be a good while before it was delivered. Initial customer service was exceptional. Follow up was great. Stove finally arrived. Delivery was scheduled. We were to be the first delivery. We ended up being the last. BUT the guys that delivered were amazing. Very apologetic and hard working. I think that there was some miscommunication on their end but their delivery guys made up for it. I would consider doing business again. read more

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator a few years back and our ice maker stopped working about a year ago (not too big of a deal, we'd just buy bagged ice). A few months ago, we noticed our food in the fridge was freezing and there was water dripping out from under the deli drawer - we took to the internet and found only two local companies that worked on Samsung refrigerators, so I called the closer one, Lubbock Appliance Repair. The woman who answered was very helpful and sweet, and told me I'd have a technician out in three days. When our appointment time came, the technician (David) called me to let me know he was on his way. He was professional, friendly and answered all my boyfriend's questions about the issues our fridge was having. David notified us of all costs (what they were for) and confirmed we were okay with the price before proceeding with the extra work. The price was higher than I was hoping, but lower than I expected. I was searching for a new refrigerator for my home and searched everywhere. Unfortunately all the major retailers had most items on back order. I went into Lubbock Appliance to see what they could do. They ordered me the exact appliance I wanted and ensured the price I paid was below stores like Lowe's or Home Depot. Their customer service was excellent. When my appliance was taking longer than expected to arrive, Lubbock Appliance offered to loan me a fridge until my new unit came in. I will personally be shopping first with Lubbock Appliance for all future appliance needs and I would suggest others do as well. read more

I am giving them a "2" only because they refunded my money. This was a horrible experience. Five visits! First they replaced my icemaker. Then came back because it was leaking. They did pretty much nothing, "adjust water flow", watch the ice maker fill. All of a sudden, they pack up, declare "it's fixed!" "Call if you need us", and they are gone! Less than an hour later I hear the icemaker dump and start to fill. When I look, it is POURING water out the back!! I turn it off and call immediately. It's the middle of the day, yet they can't come back for three day! They finally return and change "a valve" on the back of the refrigerator and make more adjustments and are observed with a power drill in the freezer, doing something to the icemaker! I was seriously done with these guys as the icemaker continued to "drip" from the back. As the drip became a full blown leak, I had had enough, I decided I really needed to call someone else but I had paid my hard earned money to these guys! So one last chance. I go to the store and let them know how unhappy I am. Repairman comes out. Supposedly, adjusts the valve on the back of the refrigerator again!!!! And he's gone. Once more I watch the icemaker fill and it is still leaking. Again I call. They promise to call me back. They do not. The next morning a woman in their office calls and tells me that they have decided to just refund my money and I can get someone else to do the repair. Fine!! I had already found someone else with much better recommendations and was about to call them! My point here is, they do NOT have competent or knowledgeable repair people. I now have a new icemaker and fill hose. NO LEAKS!! There was a hole drilled in the icemaker?????? And the fill hose was chewed up and flayed out on the end! Beware of these guys!! read more

Provided false information to my warranty company causing denial of service. 2 employees promised to call but niether did. Lubbock Appliance Repair was given a repair order from my home warranty company on 9/6 for a stove at a rental property. Their Service Technician came to the property on Wed 9/11 and assessed the needed repairs and promised a call within 24 hours. That did not happen. On Mon 9/16, I contacted the company and was told by a lady in their office that she would need to speak to the Technician and would call me back later that day. That did not happen. On Tue 9/24, I contacted and was informed by my warranty company that Lubbock Appliance cancelled / denied the work order. I was never notified. After multiple contacts with the warranty company, I have learned that Lubbock Appliance claims damage to my stove caused by rodents. There are no rodents in the house. Tenants for past 6 1/2 years have 2 cats. Stove problems surfaced approx 1 year ago. No wiring has been chewed on, nor is there any evidence of rodent droppings inside the stove. As a contracted service provider for the home warranty company, this appears to be a deceptive trade practice to avoid making repairs. read more

If I could leave 0 I definitely would! This place has the ABSOLUTE WORST definition of "management" EVER! I paid on cash for a washer and dryer and they made my appointment. I'm out of town, so they said they only deliver on Friday. Everything was set, then they say they conveniently had a "glitch", and that then I had to wait yet ANOTHER week to get my appliances. I talked on the phone to the appliance manager, and they said I could come in store today and get a cash refund since I paid on cash. Well once I came in store. They decided to change everything and say I couldn't then I had to wait on a check. I don't know about everyone else. But I'm not an effin millionaire and can wait a whole TWO WEEKES on a check when I already gave them my cash. Needless to say they didn't want to work work me. And I had to wait an hour just to be told they still won't do it and I have to wait and contact cooperative. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THIS SHADY STORE AGAIN. AND NO ONE ELSE SHOULD. TLDR: extremely helpful, generous with his time, professional, honest, and friendly. This guy should be your first pick for appliance repair in Lubbock. The full story: My fridge's compressor stopped coming on, and it was past most businesses' working hours when I called, so I was very surprised to hear Michael pick up. I was even more surprised when he went on to tell me that he wasn't in town (at a training event out of state), but that he'd be glad to help me troubleshoot over the phone. He went to give me some excellent preliminary advice, then troubleshoot and give step by step instructions based on my feedback for over an hour. Even when it was clear that he wouldn't be able to come out and look at the fridge until later in the week, at which point the repair may be moot, he continued to help me. We managed to get it running again and he even gave me a part number and advice on where to pick it up, since he wasn't' there to service it the next day. On top of that, which is really way beyond expectations, he was courteous, polite, and professional through the whole process. Just based on pictures and my very poorly put together explanations of what I was seeing, he located the issue and helped me make progress towards a solution. I can't say enough how much I appreciate his help and generosity. I'll be recommending him to anyone I know who needs repairs. read more

Technician came out more than a week ago and said our refrigerator needed a new mother board and they would have to order it. We never heard from them so called today and they said the part would be in today but they couldn't schedule anyone until next week. That means I will have no refrigerator for Christmas. For a $500 repair you would think they would be more prompt. Not impressed. read more
