So I drive my Chevy in for an oil change. and a lady comes out with a clipboard and says they have no internet so cash only. No problem . I ask her how much as I'm looking in my wallet to make sure I have enough money. She tells me that since "I'm not in their system" she - "can't tell me how much." - WTH? The car is right in front of you. No diagnostics necessary - just five quarts of oil and a filter. You do oil changes all day long - you should know what you charge. Very fair prices and the owner is an honest person who will tell you if there is anything else wrong with your car that he can spot during his inspection. Just purchased my first new car, and I've read many people change their oil after 20 or so miles. Why? Because apparently metal filings from a new engine could foul things up. It was a case of, "Take my money for my peace of mind," and Jose didn't take the bait. He told me that engines nowadays have that taken care of before they hit the dealership, and after checking my oil, told me I didn't need an oil change. I might be suspicious if he looked like he was slammed and just didn't want to bother with me, but when I visited, the bay was open and he would have made a quick buck off me. Just got off the phone with them. Wow. I called to get a price on oil change for a Toyota Prius. He started right away with saying it takes synthetic oil and started giving me the price with oil filter. When I told him I had an oil filter in hand, he replied with, "Don't tell me what you want to do. You should've told me you already had an oil filter before...". Very rude and UNPROFESSIONAL. I chose to call this shop because of the good reviews on yelp and this is how he speaks on the phone!? I was nothing but courteous and looking back, I should've said something as to his rude comment but leaving this review is substantial enough. Came across this place after searching on yelp to find a place for an oil change service that is open on Saturdays. They are open until 3PM on Sats. The service was very professional, friendly and quick. Jose even took the time to print manufacturer's guidelines for my car so I remember which specific oils should be used. Prices are great and I saved about $20 on top of saving time on my full synthetic oil change. They share a lot with the smog place H-1 which I also had a great experience with. read more
