I'm pretty shocked there are so many bad reviews. I've been bringing my car here for years. Anthony is always extremely helpful, and most of the time I've left with just the oil change, nothing extra needed/asked about. They will usually warn me as well that the next visit might need the air filter replaced also which is really helpful. I've never had synthetic oil in my vehicle and have never been asked about switching. They are always pretty fast, I'm usually in and out in no time. I like the reminder emails I get, helps me to get in on time. I've been servicing my vehicle here for at least the last 5 years and don't see myself switching anytime soon, this place is great! read more

The owner of this business is a class act! It's Christmas Eve and I'm searching all around for an open carwash at 4:30pm. I saw this one open, all others closed, and I came in asking if I could buy a carwash without an oil change. He was so kind, told me yes, there is a pay station at the beginning of the carwash bay. He told me to home on a minute and he came back with a ticket (code) for a free $9.00 wash. What a kind and humble man! Just a little heads up if you're thinking about getting your oil changed after 5PM: Hours state they close at 5:30pm. Yesterday, I stopped by for an oil change at 5:08 PM. The bay doors were open and there were no cars in the bays. I figured great, I will get immediate service and get a quick oil change. The employee came out to my vehicle and said they're closed. My visit to Lube n Go today was not only disappointing, it was infuriating. I went in for an oil change. I had been here before and the staff is usually friendly however today was the exception. The employee who helped me (I didn't get a name but he was wearing a sling) suggested I change my air filter. I advised him that I would do that myself but declined the service. He then made a rude comment about how I was having my children breathe dirty air. He the suggested something regarding the transmission fluid. I advised him, again that today I would only be getting the oil change. His response this time was something regarding driving my children around in an unsafe vehicle. It wasn't just what he said it was his whole demeanor. I understand his job is to do a car check, but if I decline, make a note and move on. Also they quoted me 20 mins and they actually took 45 mins so I was late for work. I am hesitant to return if this employee will be the one assisting me. We brought my 2014 RAV4 here for an oil change. They charged us $103.00, for an oil change! They claim that it's so expensive because my SUV takes synthetic oil. I agree synthetic oil is more expensive, however NOT that much more. We called Toyota who does inspections etc..and they charge 60.00 for this service with synthetic oil. read more

I had my oil changed there, paid the maximum price, everything seemed fine. The next day I got on the 101 freeway and something didn't seem right, my tire was howling and pulling. I turned on the tire pressure check on the car display to see the passenger front tire was at 48 psi and the passenger rear at 43. The other 2 were correct at 33 psi. This is a absolutely incredible incompetent negligent act on their part. I could of easily had a blow out on the highway. read more

Lost my business. They're OK for an oil change, but put cheap pads on when I went in for a brake job. This produced a loud, persistent screech. Took the car back three times and they wouldn't make good. Eventually took the car down the street for a new brake job and pads. I'll never return, even for an oil change! read more

Be very careful with these guys. Posted prices for oil changes range from $39 - $79. I was quoted $79 for my car because it uses synthetic oil. Fair enough. But then the guy came back after speaking with 'management', and said my oil change would be $130. He explained that was because I was driving a German car. My car is British, it's a Mini Cooper!! I declined the service and told them I would take it to the Mobil Station on Spring St. in Paso where they've always done great work for $70. Vote with your dollar! read more

The manager here will cheat you. Women especially, BEWARE. He has lied to my face about what I "need" done with my car - I am not ignorant of cars - and pushed for only what he wants to perform all of the times I dared to go. If not for the fact that I do not currently have enough tools, time or space, I would be doing the oil and filter changes myself. I thought he might have been having a bad day the first time he bashed one of his own employees in front of me and other customers (very unprofessional) but cannot excuse the exact same behavior to the same man on the second visit. Not to mention this same employee is the only one who has treated me with anything resembling truth or respect. The icing was when he came into the lobby and told me that I had to get what he wanted done on my car or get out. This was also the part where he lied about what I needed. I enjoyed my experience at lube n go. The guys where quick, answered all my questions, and informed me of up coming maintenance. They were very sweet to my 2 year old as well. Terrible experience! I was the only vehicle in the place and they took an hour and a half to change my oil. Kept telling me I need this and that but never indicated there would be a charge. On their 4th suggested item they said it would just be an additional $13. The final bill was $180! When I said they couldn't charge me for things they hadn't given me an estimate for, they said the work had been done and I needed to pay to get my truck back. Deceptive, manipulative, aggressive and just plain bad business! Listen boys, this is a small town and small businesses live and die by their reputation. Yours just went down a notch. I took my vehicle to receive its oil change and filter change all was well and I was told the work has been done so I paid for the service. I usually change it myself since I'm a mechanic also but didn't have time so I decided to check when I got home my oil was changed but my filter was untouched and still had dust on it and all around since it was never changed. I confronted them about it only for them to own up and tell me that they did not change the filter. These people are crooks take your vehicle elsewhere they will charge you for services they did not perform. read more

Over charge you. They don't even let you pick the type of oil you want they just say ok will have it ready can on the board they have the prices and they don't come out to be the price it says. They said they were going to do the 79.99 full synthetic and that's all they did and came out to be 108.83? That's a 30 something dollar difference never going there again! read more

As a ten year customer, I have noticed a deterioration in service and quality. I knew I was in trouble on April 11, 2018, at approx 3:30 pm when I pulled into the bay and the guys were laughing and carrying on as if they were at a party. While waiting in the waiting room the party continued and I could hear them fairly clearly laughing, speaking, and dropping the "F" bomb every other word. Not too big of a deal...yet. The guys were friendly and the service was fast, but maybe too fast. I drove off and a few miles away I could smell oil and plastic burning. I pulled over and they left a quart of oil in the engine compartment and it was rubbing on the belts. Again, not too big of a deal. However, the reason for the oil can is to catch oil spillage when replacing the oil filter to prevent a mess. Unfortunately, the belt cut open the oil can and oil is now spilled all over the engine. This is the second time this has happened and one other time they forgot to put the oil fill cap back on. They also ALWAYS leave their greasy hands prints all over my dash and glove box when they go to check the cabin air filter. I am offically done with Lube N Go Atascadero. read more

I am shocked by the other review that I just read. James usually processes me when i drop my two cars off here at Lube N Go. I have had multiple oil changes, transmission fluid changes, radiator flushes and they always give me 5 star service. I have never been charged for anything I did not ask for or want and they have always been forth right with everything. This I cannot say about Jiffy Lube as there I had lots of problems and sales pitches I did not have time for. Not here at this Lube N Go store. They have always been good with both vehicles maintenance. Yes, if you live in Atascadero or close by I recommend you have your maintenance done here. I would even give this place a star. I got my oil and air filter changed in Atascadero. They didn't put any bolts back so it caused other parts to become loose and damaged. I took it back to show the manager and point to clearly missing bolts and the damaged caused. He tells me that it clips on and that's wear n tear of the car!!!! Went here for an oil change on 10/01/2016 - the tech working told me that the oil change would cost me $79 because he didn't have regular oil - all he had was synthetic - not happy but still willing to do oil change - then he says it has a special oil filter that costs $89 - ITS A 2014 CHEVY CRUZE! - went down the street to Big Brand Tires and had it done for $45 - you guys truly deserve to go out of business - how many times have you pulled that stuff on other people and got away with it - buyer beware - these folks have no problem cheating you read more

We had recently been in the Bay Area and the car had quite a bit of ash on it from the fire in Concord. Went through the wash and went shopping so it was then I saw that ash was still on the car. I went back and was told by the manager that the owner knew the car wash wasn't working properly but didn't want to spend the money upgrading it. Seriously. He said that I should have used the brush and pail outside the wash doors and gone over the car before entering the wash. Huh? WOW what crooks! My husband and I just moved here to Atascadero hoping to find a good mechanic and oil change place for our 2 cars since back home I have my 2 brothers who are mechanics who serviced our cars. My husband took his car down there this morning since we had a $10 off coupon and the guy, who we didn't catch his name because he wasn't wearing a name tag, was SO very rude to my husband and says that the coupon doesn't work on his type of car. It is a Toyota Camry...what cars DOES the coupon work for? He said that none of the oil changes include the disposal fee, filter, and other hidden fees and that this oil change that was supposed to be around $25 with the coupon would actually be double! Not good business guys! I run my own business in SLO and I would never have hidden fees that are NOT disclosed on the coupon! Be very aware that these guys are not only crooks, they are very rude! We are very disappointed in how we were treated. Apparently they could care less about their locals here and we will NEVER be back!
