Really awesome place. I've been going to Sierra here for about 9-10 months now. Although I know she normally does women's hair and makeup, she does a fantastic job with men's hair too. I've had a lot of people cut my hair, but none of them ever have been as thorough or cared more about making sure it looks exactly the way I want like Sierra does. A trip to the salon for just a trim is CRAZY now. Left paying $90+ for a basic trim. I'm 9 months postpartum and asked my stylist that I wanted a little trim to get rid of my dead ends and to cut my hair in a way that'll make it look more full due to so much hair loss. She proceeds to tell me numerous times that I will continue to loose my hair and it'll look even more thin. No offense, even if your trying to warn me about certain styles, a new mother doesn't want to hear that she's loosing more hair when I just started to feel good that my hair is finally growing back. I wasn't going to write a review but later on in the day I notice my head started to feel weird and I had my fiancé look and I'm bleeding in 3 different spots. I'm going to go ahead and assume it was her long sharp nails that irritated my scalp. In the end I was left with paying $90 to be insulted and have an irritated bleeding scalp. Just a reminder for me to be patient and go to a stylist I know and not do a random walk-in. read more

I really liked the salon itself and its owner, however, I didn't have a good experience with Melissa H. Her spot was not cleaned after the previous hair cut, so after the wash I hesitated taking a seat hoping that she'd clean the space. I even told her that I dont want to sit because there was a lot of hair around, but somehow my comment was ignored. As she was doing my hair, she walked around me with someone's hair on her sandals. That was not pleasant to watch and be there. She was not that nice to me at the beginning as well, and she asked me if my lips were done... It was my first time seeing her, so Im not sure why she was so comfortable asking me that question. Finally, I didn't get the blow dry style I wanted even though I showed her a reference image of what I wanted from salon's Yelp page. I think she tried though, and I do understand that everyone's hair is different and that the results may wary. Since it was my first appointment with her, she asks many questions and asks me what are my concerns before she starts working.
