I came here due to their high ratings on yelp. Thought i would give it a try, why not. When I came in here, it was pretty busy. An employee quickly approached me and asked how they can help. I proceeded to tell them about my severely damaged hair from my experience at another salon a few months back. I wanted to do blonde ish to light brown ombre on top of my black hair. They asked me to wait around 20 minutes. I was seated after 25-30 minutes I believe. One of the employees, I think her name is Diane or Diana, came up to me and asked me what I wanted to do with my hair and what color I wanted. After telling her what I wanted, she gave me advice on what color would best suit my face and my clothing style, etc. I really like their service here because the employees talk to you while they do your hair. I know some places just keep silent or they talk to the other employees. But during my visit, they made a lot of conversation with me, which made the time fly by really fast. They finish my hair in around 1 hour ... almost 2 hours? They also styled my hair after they cut it too! They also used various hair products on my hair, that made it feel really soft and shiny. The hi lights came out very even and just the way i liked it, looking natural. After finishing my hairs, one of the employees came and gave me advice on how to take care of my hair to have to remain soft and not dry. She also recommended me some products to! I love their customer service, everyone is so nice and friendly. They truly try to understand your needs and wants here even though English isnt their first language. I paid around $65 or so for my hilights, cut, and style. Which is really cheap since my hair is pretty long and thick. Other places charge me like $100 and up! I learned about hi lite through tiktok, I made an appointment 1 week in advance, the male receptionist was very enthusiastic in advising me on the price of the service, and choosing a suitable time for me, and I almost forgot my appointment. luckily Shane sent me a reminder message to remind me of my appointment 1 day before. When I arrived at Hi Lite earlier than the appointment time, the receptionist Shane offered me tea and coffee, and arranged for me to come in earlier than the appointment time when there was space available. When I went inside, I was instructed to change my clothes, and start washing my hair. The female employee made me feel very comfortable. I had a very tiring day at work, and I wanted more massages, she said. the shoulder, neck and hand massage was so comfortable, I seemed to fall asleep, I went to 2 other places for Asian massage, but the Hi lite place made me feel the most satisfied. Finally, I thought I could only pay in cash, but the male receptionist introduced me and would accept cash, zelle or credit card. If you pay via credit card, there will be a $2 fee. I'm quite satisfied with that. I will bring my mother here next time and will ask the female employee who worked for me. With four different packages to choose from, I opted for package 3, which includes a hair wash, scalp massage, hair conditioner, face cleansing, face massage with jade roller and gua sha stone, collagen/anti-aging face mask, and neck/shoulder/arms massage. My friend decided to go for package 4 and was raving about how worth it it was. Let me tell you, the 60 minutes of pure relaxation for just $70 was a complete steal. I've never felt so at ease in my life. The only drawback was that the face mask was left on for longer than the recommended 20 minutes, but the end result was worth it. My skin felt smooth and light after the services. If you're looking for a simple hair wash, this might not be the place for you as there are so many services offered, but if you're interested in a full experience, this salon is the way to go. It turned out to be one of the most incredible salon experiences I've ever had. Julia and the entire staff were exceptionally kind and polite, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment we arrived. The scalp massage itself exceeded all my expectations and left me thoroughly impressed. What truly impressed me was how the salon handled a particular request I made in advance. I called ahead to inform them that one of my friends wears a hijab, and it was important for us to ensure that her hair wouldn't be visible to any men during the treatment. The staff took this matter seriously, and Julia personally held up a towel to shield my friend's hair from any outside view while her hair was being blow-dried. I visited Hi-Lite on my birthday to treat myself to a scalp massage and later discovered they offer a special birthday gift through their rewards program--something I wish I had known beforehand! I opted for the 45-minute treatment, which included scalp, neck, and shoulder massages using tools like vibrating grooves and combs. The neck and shoulder massages were excellent, with firm pressure that effectively relieved tension. However, I was disappointed by the limited focus on the scalp and the addition of facial cleansing, which I would have preferred to replace with more scalp work. The shampooing also didn't feel thorough, leaving my scalp less clean than I expected. If you go, I recommend bringing your own facial products, as they don't provide moisturizer after the treatment. While the masseuse was kind and efficient, the pace was a bit rushed and lacked the relaxing, slow movements I was hoping for. Just dropped by this place upon eating at a nearby restaurant and couldnt agree more with the other positive reviews. Being my first time, I didnt know any of the employees here but within seconds I felt as if I was a regular. Greeted, smiled at, everyone was very accomdating and inviting. A+ for service for the welcome. Then came the hair cut, Im pretty picky when it comes to my hair so I prefer someone who would spend a little extra time perfecting my hair rather than hurrying me out and rushing me away. The lady who cut my hair made sure I was perfectly satisfied, it seemed like she was reading my facial expressions! A+ for the detailing job on the hair Hi-Lite. I went here with family and left disappointed. While we were very much looking forward to the experience, we all left disappointed. The ladies that work here seemed sweet and that's why I gave two stars. We each did the 75 minute for $90 plus tipped $20 to each of the ladies. For the price of the treatment, it's not worth it at all. The treatment itself was not relaxing. It was very cold the entire time and I just wanted it to end. We all did. They used a few different hair and face tools, but the entire experience felt lacking in so many ways. I don't think there is much experience required to work here at all. Sadly, we were not impressed or relaxed by any of it. The fact we were all wanting it to be over says a lot. It should be the opposite, where you don't want it to end. I would recommend spending your money elsewhere for sure. read more

During the service, I found the frequent switching between gadgets somewhat rushed, and I didn't experience the tingly sensation I had hoped for. However, the experience was still relaxing, and I particularly enjoyed the head, neck, and shoulder massage. At the end of the service, I was offered additional refreshments while my hair was blow-dried.
