Pizza is always fresh and delicious. The staff is so friendly no matter how busy they are. One thing i want to commend them for is when they quote you a time for your pizza they are pulling it out and boxing it up when you get there so it's super fresh and hot. There's no good way to say this; the person making the pizzas does not do so in a sanitary way. The pizzas themselves are fine and quite affordable, but knowing that the pizza crust dough is picking up whatever is on the sleeves of the shirt their chef is wearing is... concerning. The pizza here may have been inspired by New York, but falls short in that it's not as thin and therefore not foldable. read more

I'm sure it was good because it was located inside the mall at that time back when I was young and you all remember that cash register and pizza Jesus calling out orders that were ready. I fell in love when I had their ricotta calzone. That is all I've ever ordered from them since. Skip ahead to the current time and place. You guys have ruined this and changed the recipe. Even the small amount of ricotta you put in is just smothered in mozzarella now. Bland. Ordered two, because well it was my all time favorite, and they were both burnt. Stopped in over the weekend for a take out order and I am torn on this review. If I were eating in then I do not think I would have given a very positive review (staff was a tad off-putting, not real professional, and the place looked dirty). Luckily, I was just there to grab a pie and it was actually quite tasty. I had salami, sausage and black olives, no cheese per my usual (unfortunately I am allergic to dairy). We were on our way back from Chicago with some friends and had a craving for some pizza. This place was a bit out of our way, but seemed worth the detour. We ordered garlic knots and a 20 inch neopolitan pizza to share between four of us. The garlic knots were perfect! A nice balance of crisp, yet soft dough bathing in a foil bowl of a garlic and oil. The marinara sauce added even more flavor! The pizza was also very good! The slices were enormous and one piece was the perfect amount. Great toppings choices and the 20 inch was the right amount for four people. We even had one slice left for later. This dining area was quite dated, but don't let that deter you from this place. The food was worth the extra drive! Staff were also friendly. Glad we drove the extra miles to avoid a chain place. Very pleased with this meal! read more

I needed to grab a quick bite on my way home, and I've been craving pizza. I was super excited to find a place that sells pizza by the slice, and even more excited when I found out the slices are made to order, meaning you can put anything you like on your slice. Definitely reccomend this place for vegetarians--most places I end up having to just get cheese. The crust was perfect--slightly chewy, yet crispy at the edges without being burnt, and the marinara is fantastic. Next time I'll definitely order an extra side of it. Not because the pizza was lacking sauce, but because I want to bathe in it. The only downside is the slightly unorganized, overwhelming menu. It was a little confusing, but the girl behind the counter was super friendly and helpful. Wow, the first time I had pizza in Springfield, the cheese tasted like rubber, literally. This was not surprising to me, because Springfield has the worst food ever, unless it's something deliciously deep fried. My favorite pizza by the slice place in the world. When it moved out of White Oaks, I had a scary moment where I thought it was gone forever, but they just opened up across the street. Phew - one less reason to go into that mall. Anywhoo....Huge, cheap, thin slices made to order. The sauce is fantastic, just a little zip to it, and they have some kind of a volcanic rock oven or something that makes the crust SO crisp and yummy. All the sides are good, especially the fries. Garlic, parm & crushed red pepper on the tables if you want to spice things up. Luca himself is usually there to take your order and is incredibly nice. This is a family run operation all the way. I love Luca. I used to eat there when it was in the mall. Years ago they moved outside of the mall and I still go. This is one of the 2 places in town that has the pizza This is NY style pizza. I love the thin crispy crust. My typical slice order is 1 sausage (great sausage!) and 1 sausage and anchovy. Heaven!! I've never had anything else other than pizza here. Definitely worth checking it out if you have not been there before. They also sell half backed pizzas for take out. Right at the top for the best carry-out/delivery pizza in Springfield. You can also dine-in and they even serve pizza by the slice. Buyer beware, the slices are HUGE! Their house salad dressing is very good and doesn't get enough attention from customers as don't their salads which have actual green lettuce and are loaded with vegetable chunks. The pasta and sandwiches are pretty decent for fast food. Sitting is VERY casual for dine-in (think fast food seating). You can call ahead for carry-out or dine-in which I recommend. Went here based on Yelp 'nearby' search and weren't expecting much since we are from the Chicago area and have some of the best pizza places in the country nearby! We were so pleasantly surprised! Had an 18 inch pepperoni pie with extra cheese, it was excellent!! While we stood in line to order (I would recommend phoning in your order ahead of time on Friday as it was quite busy) my husband said, 'it will probably be wonder bread with sauce and cheese!' No way, the crust was excellent, had plenty of cheese and the pepperoni was tasty (but a bit greasy!). Salad was simple, but plentiful and homemade italian dressing was good. A few downsides; They don't really have the customer in mind that are eating in... We split a large salad and had to ask for plates and were given the 'small' pizza pans that were really huge. We didn't like was that the pizza was too large to keep on the table with 3 plates. I guess not that many people must 'eat in'... They might rethink that strategy, maybe get those pedestals or something that the pizza can sit on while you eat. Also didn't really like fact that we had to bus our own table between salad and pizza otherwise there would have been no room at all. Even with all that, I would still go back, maybe more often carry out than eat in but seeing as we are from out of town, that was our best choice. We would definitely recommend this place! read more

First, I call to order & they could not look up the address of my B&B. So, I had to hang up & call back with exact address. I have many fond memories of this place from when they were at the mall and their new location. They have some of the best pizza and the slices are bigger than the plate! When they were in the mall you would have to stand and eat or walk because the place would be so full and not enough seats in the little place. The best move they ever made was getting a little resturant with more seats!! I remember my mom being at jenny craigs saturday afternoon and my sister going over and getting pizza in their new location it was such a treat. Ordered take out today and pizza was great! Crust is perfect cross between thick and thin, sauce was good, plenty of toppings.

Needs one person answering the phone and waiting on customers solely and they also need another pizza oven. I called four times and waited on hold until I finally drove there and ordered. I finally was able to order after waiting in line about 10 minutes. After I ordered there was no room to stick it in the oven so I had to wait for them to get other people's out. It's delicious but not customer oriented during lunch time. More workers and more room to actually cook the pizzas please. read more
