I had an incident at this location after bringing my car in for a battery issue. When I arrived to pick it up, I used the remote start to confirm the issue was fixed. The car didn't start, which immediately concerned me. When I went to find it, I discovered it was already running meaning my vehicle had been left idling for about three hours in scorching temperatures. Not only is that a waste of fuel, it's unnecessary, harmful to the vehicle, and completely irresponsible. When I approached the manager, his exact response was: "What do you want me to do?" No apology, no explanation just dismissiveness. I wasn't asking for much; a simple apology would have been enough. Even though they wasted my gas, I didn't even push for reimbursement. I later filed a complaint with someone above him, hoping for accountability, but it went unresolved. No follow-up, no acknowledgment. Because of the lack of customer service, responsibility, and respect especially after leaving my car running for hours in extreme heat they lost me as a customer. My entire family stopped servicing their vehicles there, and I was so dissatisfied I even traded my Chrysler. read more

Strongly Recommend Going Elsewhere - UNPROFESSIONAL I had a EXTREMLY disappointing experience with the service manager and GM at Lucas Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Lumberton, NJ. I brought my 2023 Jeep Compass (under warranty) in for electrical issues. I was told the vehicle was unsafe to drive and that the repair would take 5-7 days minimal. Since no loaner vehicles were available, I was advised to rent a car and seek reimbursement through Chrysler Jeep corporate. I later found out my vehicle was actually repaired the very next day, but I was never notified--no phone call, text, or email. Because of the lack of communication, I kept the rental longer than necessary and was not fully reimbursed. What made the experience worse was management's response. When I raised my concerns, both to the Service Manager (unbelievably rude/disrespectful) and General Manager (dismissive and lack of interest/concern) they both were dismissive and showed little interest in resolving the issue or acknowledging the inconvenience caused and I quote "Not my problem". I've worked with many dealerships across different brands and have never experienced this level of poor communication or lack of customer care and total DISRESPECT. I would strongly recommend finding a different dealership altogether. read more

Will NEVER use them again for Service. They did not fix the vehicle right the first time (performed a software update for $373) said car was fixed. Car broke down over an hour away from home five days later and had to be towed back in to have the valve body replaced. Kate the service writer had said that they would refund that original charge. Bob the service manager was away and upon returning said the I was a liar and Kate had never said that original amount would be refunded. I would take your vehicle to any other dealer. read more

One of the Worst Car Buying Experiences I've Ever Had - Avoid if You're Military or a First Responder I recently visited Lucas Dodge Jeep Ram after receiving an internet quote for $635/month on a Jeep Grand Cherokee (36 months, 10k miles/year). When I looked up the same vehicle on Jeep's official website, I saw it advertised for via the lease calculator tool for $599/month -- a notable difference. I was told the $599 quote didn't include taxes and fees. Once at the dealership, the salesman -- who was respectful and professional countered at $620 a month -- I countered again and told him I would agree and sign now to the $599/month rate. He stated "that easy? If I get that we can do the deal?" I said yes, and he went to speak with the GM. When he returned, I was told they wouldn't be able to get to $599 unless I put down more money -- $700 more, totaling $4,200 down. The GM said he gives the best prices online but people never show up, he can't take out of his margin, everyone is a key board warrior and never comes in, and xyz. I advised him I understand, but I am a customer sitting right in front of you and ready to do a reasonable deal right now. A $700 difference or a $20 a month difference depending how you look. But he completely ignored the fact that I was sitting right in front of him, ready to sign for $3,500 down and $599/month. Things went downhill quickly. While I was speaking, the GM turned his chair away from me, paged on the dealership intercom to cancel the vehicle, and told me, "You just won't listen and don't care, so we're not doing this deal." I was in full uniform (I am a full time firefighter)-- and a U.S. Marine combat veteran and -- However, I remained calm/kept my composure and respectful the entire time. Yet I was spoken to in an arrogant and demeaning way. I thanked the salesman for his professionalism and left, but I'll never return. This was one of the most disrespectful interactions I've ever had at a dealership. First responders and military, take your business elsewhere. Not all heroes wear capes actually most don't.... This hero wore a Lucas Jeep shirt and his name is Jeff. I usually come here for minor issues like oil changes and lights but this time my radiator in my Jeep blew which in turn caused my engine to fail. I brought it to the dealership because I knew it should've been covered by warranty. My radiator was done and my engine was done I needed a new one of both. I was stressed out because I needed my vehicle for work and In todays time parts are hard to come by and I didn't have time. Jeff and his team immediately got me into a loaner and up and running within a week which I assumed it would take about 2 weeks to a month. Jeff gave me daily vehicle updates as well throughout the process. This dealership saved me from going all the way home back to NY without my vehicle after my month long training in New Jersey. I was trying to sell my car and I got a quote from the online. It said that they offered a hefty boost since they were aggressively trying to increase their used inventory. I was very happy with the number as it was a bit more that I actually expected by about a thousand dollars. I live an hour away so I called them to confirm the number they were at and told them how far the drive would be and that it would be a two hour round trip if they did not honor the price that I was shown online. I was assured twice that this was the number they were at. I offered to send pictures and videos to make sure this was an accurate number since I didn't want to drive out that far just to drive back. I immediately left my house and was there in an hour. When I got there I brought up the online price and they immediately started talking it down and then they gave me an offer of almost 5k less than the original offer. Overall would never do any business with them in any regard. On July 22, 2023, I brought my vehicle in for maintenance on a driver side headlight. That I have already replaced, and it would not work. I made this explanation very plain to the person with whom I spoke. Lucas Chrysler, Jeep, and Dodge replaced the bulb and socket. I paid approximately $134.00 for their service and then of September 4, 2023, the same light goes out again. Six weeks later and I must bring my car back to Lucas and they start talking about having to charge me $169 for a diagnostic to find out what was wrong. My question is why a diagnostic done in the first place wasn't based upon what I stated that I have replaced the headlight, and it still won't come on. In my opinion that to the cheapest and simplest route since I have an extend warranty and my deductible is only $200. So instead doing their due diligence in the first place the chose to nickel and dime me out of $200. Let's bring this back forward to my second visit where and I quote "Tech tested light, very intermittent. Only got to act up once. Need light to go out completely to test correctly. CODE B162A LEFT LOW BEAM CONTROL CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND WENT STORED." So, they only got the light to go out once and felt no need to do any further troubleshooting. My driver's side headlight was constantly going in and out and luckily, I am in a position where I have a second vehicle that I can drive so I don't have to rush and take it to Lucas. On November 10, 2023, after bringing my vehicle to Lucas for the third time but the same headlight and asking to speak with a manager. One of the floor managers, puts me in touch with the service manager who takes my vehicle to the back and within ten minutes tell me that it is the Body Control Module that is causing the problem. Now is where it gets interesting. They contact me and want me to pay the deductible because they had to bill my extended warranty plan and I question that because you never fixed my vehicle in the first place (admittedly). After speaking with the woman at the service desk she states that I need to speak with the service manager himself if I feel that the money, I paid should be credit towards my deductible. Called the service manager November 15, 2023, and we proceed to have a conversation about my vehicle and the fact that I have already paid for a service that was satisfactory. I proceeded to state that the timeline doesn't add up and I stated that I told you I have an extra vehicle so don't have to rush to bring my vehicle in. Plus, I work for the government so a lot of times I am on travel. He said, "I don't care if you are an astronaut!" Which lead to a contentious back and forth. Today November 16, 2023, I go to pick up my vehicle and I arrive and find that my Beats Headphones are gone. I call the service and speak with a male that answers the phone and state to him that my headphones are gone he say that he will talk with the Technicians and hangs up on me. I will never give Lucas Chrysler Jeep Dodge another dime of my hard-earned money again. I have a leased up truck from Lucas and it has been good and the experience on buying it was good as well. I recently purchased a 2012 Jeep Wrangler and took it in for an oil change. A couple weeks later I popped the hood and the oil fill cap was laying on the radiator housing I typically go to the dealer to make sure I get quality work done, however something small like this that can be catastrophic is very disappointing. Leased Grand jeep Cherokee 39 months. Informed dealer my intent to purchase. Arrived at dealership to pay of residual price of vehicle in cash. Dealership mysteriously added almost 1000.00 dollars to payoff. Notified Chrysler and received correct payoff amount. Shocked by response from General manager Dan Obiedzinsk, Quote from Mr Obiedzunsk" do you see a steeple on top of our building we are not a non profit". Sad when businesses try to default customers. I would not recommend this shady dealership to anyone. Update: called Chrysler direct, they waived mysterious 500.00 dealer fee, waived mysterious 399.00 document fee, waived mysterious 200.00 government fee. The service department is awful. They took 5 days for a simple service. Then they replaced a soft top and that took a week but was installed incorrectly and it's been a year and they still have not fixed the problem. The service manager has been on lunch for almost a month! That's the excuse every time we call. He arrives late when we are told his start time, so we can't speak to him in person and he refuses to return calls. Finally reached him,and he was unprofessional from the start and refuses to make good on the problems telling me to go to a different dealership. AVOID at all costs. In May 2017 I bought a new 2016 Jeep Renegade. The first year went well however following that I have had the car stall three times while driving. I have brought it in to Lucas twice for this issue and was told each time that it is a "feature" of the engine when it needs an oils change. Now the important thing to keep in mind is the car takes synthetic oil and should last between 6,000-9,000 miles. I was changing it at every 6 to be cautious (oil light had never come on). However the car stalls out anywhere between 2,000-5,000. Each time the solution offered to me was that I get an oil change every 3,000miles and "hope" it doesn't stall out prior to that mark. This is dangerous and life threatening! It stalled out on the highway and I am just blessed that I in the right hand lane and was able to quickly pull to the shoulder. read more

Great experience here at Lucas! Buying a new car can be stressful, it is not one of my favorite things to do. I recently totaled my Dodge Durango RT after only a year and a half. My insurance company has been great but my rental car allowance was expiring quickly. I met with Richard Levine and he showed me several vehicles i was looking for. He zero'd in quickly on my needs and concerns and picked a Grand Cherokee for me that was a perfect fit. I was concerned at first with the V6 Model Altitude trim package as I was accustomed to driving the V8. Both Richard and Frank from Finance convinced me to take the V6 for a test ride overnight to get a better feel for it. I returned that same evening requesting the V8. They both reacted quickly and found me a V8 Limited trim package. The next day I was set with financing and contacted by Richard stating I was "ready to go". Upon seeing the trim package I was not happy with that particular vehicle. I expressed my concerns to them and once again, they showed me a V6 Altitude with the black out trim and told me to take it our for a drive. When I returned from the test drive, I was sold, but asked if i could purchase the Velvet Red vehicle directly off the showroom floor. Within and hour, they had the car brought back for service and cleaning and I was in my new car before the end of the day. Needless to say, I was a pretty fussy customer but it never stopped either of them from providing excellent customer service all the way through delivery and beyond. If you are in the market for a new Chevy or Dodge, please do not hesitate, go see Richard Levine and Frank and they will take great care of you! read more

I leased a jeep in 2018 and immediately had problems. Every few months my brand new car just wouldn't start. I took it in 3 times over the course of a month, left it there for days each time, and they were never able to find a problem. I continued to have the same issues over the course of my 3 year lease. Whenever I called the service department I was told to have it towed in at my own expense. The last few years with this car have been a complete nightmare, but most of all the customer service at Lucas has been an absolute joke. read more

The absolute worst customer service Ever. Leased a Wrangler Sport last month pulled a total bait & switch move at lease signing! Tried to reach saleman and sales manager everyday after trying to add a tow package and never received any response . Asked for sales manager every time I called the dealership and conviently never there. To this date not sure there is a sales manager?? Then they send out text messages asking for feedback or if i had any questions which is total BS because they never respond to them either!! The reason we went into the dealership was because we were promised a RAM Rebel on their lot in a particular color. When we got there the person we were supposed to meet with was not there, nor was the truck. Also, as others have already indicated, the internet price is not the one advertised. They entice you by all the discounts, however, they are looking to try to get those people in with bad credit. I am active duty military and felt the gentleman trying to sell us a truck was very unprofessional. I feel this place is not wanting to sell cars, because they didn't even try to persuade me to buy a car or see what deal they could make me. They are not competitive with other dealers, and also the sales person was unprofessional in many ways. The better business bureau should be contacted concerning this dealership. read more

I can honestly say after going dealership to dealership in search of my first leased vehicle, Lucas was the first experience where I did not feel intimidated from the moment I walked through the door. I worked with Richard Levine and the Sales GM Frank Alexander. These two gentlemen could NOT have been more personable, caring and RESPECTFUL salesmen. Being a young car buyer I was nervous I would be (no offense) taken advantage of or not taken seriously but my experience was the complete opposite. I came in with my set budget and the two of them worked with me until 9pm (an hour after closing time might I add) to work numbers with me. Everything is explained in "common man terms" and they answered question after question for me. Unfortunately my low line of credit prevented me from getting the number I wanted but Frank is still working with me to see how we can make things work and is giving me option after option to help make my dream come true. DO NOT GET YOUR CAR SERVICED HERE. PLEASE. I took my wrangler here because the check engine light was on and had to spend $2,200 to get it fixed, only to get it back and one month later have the same issue. I took it to them a second time and they charged me $1,100 to get it fixed again and it was in worse shape than before when I got it back this time. The car is a 2003 Wrangler and originally went in to get an oil leak sealed and a radiator leak sealed, along with getting serviced for the engine light as well. When I got it back they changed the radiator itself and the oil leak was somehow worse. Long story short I spent a total of $3,300 and don't have anyone more money to sink into the car and am being forced to finance a new car at this point. Took my Wrangler to Lucas for check engine light. Was told it was an oxygen sensor. They replaced and the light went out. A few months later, the check engine light came on again. Took it to Lucas and was told that the wrong sensor was installed. I told them THEY installed it. They check their records and agreed. Replace sensor again AND CHARGED ME AGAIN, Light went out. 2 Days later light is back on. Now they want $1000 to diagnose the problem. Look. I haven't purchased a car here, I went in today to see how I could test drive a GC SRT when nobody has one, and to evaluate the dealership since I live close to it. The salesman Richard spent at least a half hour going through the options and giving me a satisfactory way to get done what I needed. This is the kind of help I need. My service experience with this dealership was the worst I experienced with any dealership. First, I call in a week prior to schedule based on the availability of the service department. I explained my service requirements and was assured that my car would be looked at first thing on my schedule date. I dropped off my car the night before, so they would have the car first thing in morning. I get a call at 8am asking why my car was in for service. I explained that I called in and scheduled. They were clueless on what was scheduled. I was told that my car would be looked at after getting off the phone. I wanted 5 hours with no response from service before I call them to ask, they didn't look the car. I asked to speak with the manager and was presented by a rude careless manager. Next, I had to get the dealership manager to have my car looked at. They had my car two days to replace a hose. I question if they even did replace it or made up the service report to prolong my car being at their shop. It was my second time bring my car to them for the same issue. If this is what they call VIP treatment for people who purchase their car with them, then I question how far up the chain poor customer service is with this dealership. They are all big on giving them a 10 rating, I give them a zero and recommend you go look else were for sales and service. I would never bring my car to this dealership again. Wow! You really want to stay away from this place. The "General Manager" was screaming at me because I asked for $399 off of the advertised price truck. He was yelling at me about how much experience he had. Mind you in front of his customers and employees. When someone brags about how much experience they have, usually that shows that maybe they worked all those years but have not learned anything. I was working with my son to get a truck and had visited them to about 10 months earlier. He told me he sold thousands of trucks since then. I asked if that meant my sale didn't matter. Basically he was saying the customer does not matter to him. The killer is I walked in with financing. And only asked for $399 off of a 24k purchase. And if your the owner I am sorry I didn't get my camera going on my phone so you could see the video of how unprofessional this guy is. If he worked for me he would let go on the spot. He costing you lots of money in sales! We went to Miller Ford. Miller Ford was very professional. They just didn't have the type of truck we wanted. So we headed up to Cherry Hill Dodge... Well the good news is we found a great truck. Was treated nicely and still got a price that was better the only $399 off we had asked for on Lucas truck. In few months I plan on buying a 3/4 to 1 ton Diesel truck to pull my camper. Guess who won't get that sale! read more

Seriously disappointed in the management at Lucas Chrysler. I went to the dealership multiple times with a specific Jeep I had my eye on. Being a young girl and looking at this car alone, I feel the dealership totally took advantage of that. The manager tried to add in extras on the price to try to get me to pay for things that are not my job to pay for before the car is sold to me (i.e. Fixing a broken radio which is advertised as working with the car). The manager would barely even negotiate a fair price on the vehicle, considering I could get the same used car for $4,000 less elsewhere.
