Their food selection, preparation, and presentation, are very good. If I hadn't ordered the Philly cheesesteak, I could've eaten those boneless wings with the Korean chili garlic all day long! The pretzels were warm, soft and chewy with just the right amount of crunch on the outside. I'm from Philadelphia, so I'm critical of cheesesteaks. To my surprise, these guys nailed it! High quality ribeye, thin sliced, seasoned right, cheese chopped-in. And even the roll tasted like it came from Philly! THANK YOU for making a cheesesteak the right way! This month has been a no-meat month for me, so I've been exploring more plant-based options when I go out. During my visit to Yard House, I decided to try their Cobb salad with Gardein "chicken." I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. The salad was fresh, well portioned, and the Gardein chicken blended in nicely with the rest of the ingredients. Yard House in St. Louis Park is one of my favorite spots to hang out with friends. My girlfriend and I split two burgers (Blue Cheese & Bacon + BBQ Bacon Cheddar) and the staff went above and beyond by cutting them in half and plating them so we each got one of each. Such a small simple gesture but it made the whole meal feel thoughtful. Both burgers were juicy and packed with flavor, and of course, I had to beer it with a classic half yard beer (Always worth it here!). Honestly this exceeded my expectations. This is a restaurant with an extensive selection of beer and booze. They seem truly passionate about the beers; going through the menu, it takes a while before you get past those pages, and even then, many of the entrees come with suggested beer pairings. (Oh that reminds me, they make their own blueberry ketchup! It tastes like you'd guess based on that description.) But I came for food, and the food was very good. We also got sliders as an appetizer; the meat was mediocre but I liked the sauce that came on them. We got fries with both of them and they were excellent fries. My friend got Spicy Jambalaya and we totally loved it. i'm going to come back and order one all for myself. YUM. Our server was Mario and he was cool; service was friendly and professional all around. I should note that my friend's cider was a little flat; they took care of that problem to our satisfaction. It was kind of weird how Mario billed us; we told him how we wanted to split the bill and he poked at his machine a little, then left it on the table for us to deal with; we never saw him again. This was by design, and it worked out fine, but it was surprising. There are a lot of food options around here and this is one to consider. Parking is easy since it's West End. Walking there was really cold though since it's winter and the walk between the parking ramp to the location became a wind tunnel but that's not their fault. Yard House is pretty basic, but in all the best ways. It is now one of the longest operating businesses in the West End of SLP which is saying a lot, especially bc they have no gimmicks. Zero. Also, the parking is mad weird and a bit confusing. I wouldn't ask my parents to meet me here, but if I was riding with them in their car I would definitely bring them here. You want to park underneath the restaurant and take the elevator in the middle of the lot up to a weird alley/sidewalk. Turn left. This was a great pre movie meet up spot. They have a lot of flexibility for groups. It wasn't too busy and thus not too loud on a Sunday night which is the best time to round up your middle aged friends for a meal out. Our server was not basic though. They were a delightful mix of attentive and chill and seemed to adjust to match our group perfectly. First timer coming to Yard House and the place was packed. Luckily we had a reservation for our table of 14 and were promptly seated. We had two wonderful servers who took great care of us- Logan provided helpful tips on the menu and I trusted him when he recommended the Hawaiian chicken. The chicken and rice were cooked perfectly and it was served with the best broccolini I've had at a restaurant. My dragonfruit margarita was almost too good. This was our last stop on a night out with friends! Our server was fantastic and a lot of fun, I wish I had caught his name. We got drinks and apps to munch on. I shared an order of Parmesan truffle fries with a friend and got the lava cake. Others got a pizza, sandwich, and poke nachos. Everyone really enjoyed their food! They have a ton of taps here, but they are almost always the same beers. Very little in way of rotation which is frustrating because they have the capability to do much better in that regard. Got in and out of happy hour today with two beers and an appetizer for under twenty pre-tip which is pretty reasonable these days. My main gripe with this Yard House and other Yard Houses is the music. Usually blaring old pop music that nobody wants to hear. I'm finding more and more reasons why I love the St. Louis Park area of Minnesota. Specifically The Shops at West End. I have stayed at hotels in that neighborhood a couple of times. You're close to some main shopping staples like Costco, but you also have so many great restaurants and shopping options right there. This last trip we went to a crowd favorite - Yard House. if you've never been, this is a large restaurant that can accommodate groups of all sizes. It's got plenty of TVs and seating options so you won't miss any sports, but what I love more than anything is that they have a HUGE tap beer selection, but also excellent cocktails and even some mocktails. Their food menu is extensive with so many great options. If you're looking for burgers or hand breaded chicken tenders, they have those. If you want a delicious salad or poke bowl, they have that too. Their happy hour is a great deal, so don't sleep on that. The vibe is energetic, the staff is accommodating, and the food/drink usually hits. For this trip I had the shrimp bowl and my buddy had the Philly cheesesteak, so you know I had to snag a picture of that. read more

Yardhouse is probably one of my favorite Happy Hour places! I will say they changed a few of the menu items/apps this year and some of the changes weren't that great. I love the drinks here. My fav is the Black orchid. The prices are pretty fair as well. They also offer a large variety of tap beers. As far as the HH app deals, I will say the servings are generous enough to share, if you go with others I'd say order 1-2 things to start & you can always add on as you go. The chicken nachos are good, the chicken tenders used to be better (changed the batter) now just okay, the queso dip & cheese curds are also good. The staff are nice & attentive! We recently went with a large group and some of use came in a bit later and the waiter made sure to come around and greet us as we arrived, even when they were a bit busier. The food is always good and I like that the menu is pretty unique/has something for pretty much everyone (even my vegetarian gf). My friend and I decided to check out Yard House after having great experiences with other restaurants in West End. I was excited as I've passed it several times and had high hopes for the food! I walked in and was seated in a booth. I noticed quickly that Yard House is geared towards beer and sports. The atmosphere is nice, but a bit loud even when it isn't busy, and they feature 100+ beers on tap. I was greeted by my server, Noah, who seemed fun and witty which was a plus. We ended up ordering wings, sliders with bacon, drinks, and fries. When our food came out, we were missing the bacon and the fries which was brought out later and removed from the tab. Food details below: 1. I would give the wings a 5/10. The vast majority of the wings are breading, and the lemon pepper wings barely had any lemon pepper. I ate two of the ten wings provided which is odd for me. 2. I'd give the truffle fries a 9/10. I'm a sucker for good fries and aioli, so I was pumped when these came out. This would be a good choice for happy hour! 3. My friend said the sliders were good, so I have faith in the burgers. 4. I was celebrating my birthday and was surprised with a Brownie/Cookie/Oreo/Ice-cream dessert. Unfortunately, for the most part this was hard/crumbly versus soft and gooey like you would expect resulting in a rating of 3/10. 5. Strawberry Mule was great. I'd give it a 8/10 for strength and flavor. Overall, I wasn't thrilled with the food we had.
