Chicken Nachos

Fun, high-energy sports bar with an endless number of beers on tap and their iconic GIANT half-yard beers! Happy hour is a must for their half off apps, including this GIANT nacho platter loaded with high-quality toppings in every bite...it's definitely not your average dive bar nachos! Great vibes all around, just be sure to make reservations ahead of time!

WHISKEY CARAMEL BUTTER CAKE (limited time) *the best dessert!

Ventured here for a cocktail and dessert before SPD... we got 3 desserts, truffle fries and green drinks. Desserts: BREAD PUDDING WITH CREME ANGLAISED - unfortunately none of us loved this... it didn't have any flavor and fell apart. The crème was the best part but not great. I think it needed to prep soak longer. "S'MORES" BROWNIE MELTDOWN (Sooo good! Like a lava cake meets a brownie. Yummy ) (SPD menu) WHISKEY CARAMEL BUTTER CAKE- The best of the 3! The texture of the cake was so good! Perfection! This should stay on the menu. SPD cocktail: Pot of Gold cocktail- this was so green it was scary to drink. It looked cute but didn't have any flavor. Classic: The fries were crispy but not a ton of truffle oil flavor. I wanted more. I sadly feel the quality is going downhill for Yard House... they changed the happy hour and no more deals on calls like they did before. They also have the pay machines so it felt more like an Applebees. :( I know those poke nachos are still good. Please don't change those!

This month has been a no-meat month for me, so I've been exploring more plant-based options when I go out. During my visit to Yard House, I decided to try their Cobb salad with Gardein "chicken." I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. The salad was fresh, well portioned, and the Gardein chicken blended in nicely with the rest of the ingredients. It didn't feel like I was missing out on anything. I also ordered the non-alcoholic Pina Spritz, which was super refreshing and a great option if you're looking for something light and tropical without the alcohol. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.Always a good vibe and friendly atmosphere. It's always nice when restaurants have solid options for people trying something different with their diet. Definitely a good pick if you're looking for a satisfying plant-based meal.

I highly recommend their happy hour. Cannot go wrong with half off selected apps and half off all pizzas. If you'd rather go off regular menu, it's stacked. We felt at home when we reached our booth. There's no wrong order but you need to order their Poke Nachos! Everything came out fast. I forgot to take photos of everything we ordered... Poke Nachos, Wisconsin Fried Cheese Curds, Classic Sliders, Truffled Mushroom Pizza, and Hand Battered Chicken Tenders. Everything was delicious.

Great vibe on a Friday night. My party of four were able to find space at the bar while we waited for our table. The house tap drinks were great with NCAAM basketball over the tvs. Food was tasty and well prepared for all in our group! Staff were kind, friendly, and attentive as they navigated the evening crowd! Great experience.

This is a great spot for happy hour and even kid friendly! My kids loved the music and the nice selection on the kids menu. The happy hour selection is great and portion sizes are generous. The calamari is very tasty!

Yard House in St. Louis Park is one of my favorite spots to hang out with friends. My girlfriend and I split two burgers (Blue Cheese & Bacon + BBQ Bacon Cheddar) and the staff went above and beyond by cutting them in half and plating them so we each got one of each. Such a small simple gesture but it made the whole meal feel thoughtful. Both burgers were juicy and packed with flavor, and of course, I had to beer it with a classic half yard beer (Always worth it here!). Service was top-notch: attentive, friendly, and quick to help with any questions. We sat out on the patio just in time to enjoy the sunset, great way to enjoy a quiet Friday night. Great flavors, incredible service, and a vibe that makes you want to stay awhile, just a great classic place to visit!

Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich

Vince was our server and he ws awesome. A day with four of us. He had multiple tables and didn't miss a beat. We ordered chicken nachos, calamari, mushroom pizza and sashimi. The pizza was a standout. Surprisingly. Chicken nachos were reasonably good. Sashimi was quite good and calamari was OK but not great.

Honestly this exceeded my expectations. This is a restaurant with an extensive selection of beer and booze. They seem truly passionate about the beers; going through the menu, it takes a while before you get past those pages, and even then, many of the entrees come with suggested beer pairings. I don't drink so this wasn't exciting for me, but my friend who rarely drinks was intrigued and he really liked his Woodchuck Blueberry Cider. (Oh that reminds me, they make their own blueberry ketchup! It tastes like you'd guess based on that description.) But I came for food, and the food was very good. I got the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich that I liked a lot. The chicken was really tasty. (This was not a very spicy sandwich.) We also got sliders as an appetizer; the meat was mediocre but I liked the sauce that came on them. We got fries with both of them and they were excellent fries. My friend got Spicy Jambalaya and we totally loved it. i'm going to come back and order one all for myself. YUM. Our server was Mario and he was cool; service was friendly and professional all around. I should note that my friend's cider was a little flat; they took care of that problem to our satisfaction. It was kind of weird how Mario billed us; we told him how we wanted to split the bill and he poked at his machine a little, then left it on the table for us to deal with; we never saw him again. This was by design, and it worked out fine, but it was surprising. There are a lot of food options around here and this is one to consider. It's big and there is a lot of patio seating, all of which is under a big canopy. I can't stress enough how certain I am that I will be back for that Jambalaya.

Service was friendly, we didn't wait too long for a Saturday afternoon lunch for drinks and food. They were surprisingly out of few drinks on their menu though. Portions were large. Parking is easy since it's West End. Walking there was really cold though since it's winter and the walk between the parking ramp to the location became a wind tunnel but that's not their fault. Food was on the saltier side, like every dish, but the spicy edamame was my favorite. Bathroom was clean but the faucet only came in hot water option. Great for clean hands, but it was really hot so I hope everybody else washed their hands too despite the hot water.

Kale & Romaine Caesar Salad with shrimp

Had a lovely time at yardbird. Great place for groups with lots of space. So many good food options to try. I wasn't too thrilled when perusing the menu but was so pleasantly surprised at how flavorful my lunch was. I had the steak bowl and a small kale and Caesar salad, which turned out to be much bigger than I anticipated. The side shrimp didn't match the flavor profile of the salad but was even better. The steak bowl was nicely seasoned and the vegetables were perfectly cooked while holding some of their crispness. Service was friendly. The manager even stopped by to say hello and welcome us. So many beer choices, if that's your thing.

Blackened Shrimp Tacos & Carne Asada Tacos

I am unfortunately always disappointed when I go to Yard House. The drinks are no longer something I care to order here and the food is usually mediocre. On my last visit I ordered the Blackened Shrimp Taco & Carne Asada Taco which were okay but not something to come back for.

We went in on a Sunday and they had all day happy hour and kids eat free (with adult entree purchase). We got the firecracker shrimp, and a sushi roll from the happy hour menu and the lemon garlic chicken entree. The firecracker shrimp was great, crispy, flavorful, and a bit of a kick; I for sure would order again. The sushi roll was disappointing, even at the happy hour price, it was the most basic of rolls that you can get elsewhere for $3. The lemon garlic chicken was flavorful but I wish the menu specified that it was both chicken breast and thighs (still on the bone). But the overall dish was good, although I think it should be priced about $10 less. Anyways, I'll be back for apps and drinks during happy hour, but probably not for a full dinner.

Patties were smashed and crusted correctly. The bun held up ok. The sauces were tasty. The fresh pickles were a much needed hit of freshness, acidity and crunch. Fries were crispy and seasoned. Chicken pesto pasta. Delicious. The pesto added a freshness to the dish. Pine nuts and sun dried tomatoes added little pops of flavor. Chicken was seasoned and cooked well. This dish tasted hearty but felt light in your stomach if that makes sense. You do not need to take a nap immediately after. Portion was big. Definitely can split into two meals.

He even talked us into coming back for brunch -- and honestly, we probably will. Cocktails? Delicious. Food? Even better. We started with the cauliflower, which was packed with flavor. The potatoes were the star, but truly, every bite bursted with flavor. Such a great time. We'll definitely be back!

Back to Pink Ivy. The service is quality. Our reserved table was ready when we arrived. The reservation policy may seem "strict", but if you can live with needing to provide a 24 cancel notice, I think you will find the service is good because the business doesn't get slammed by unexpected high demand. Wait person timing was off a tad when we first sat down. It felt a little rushed as we order our drinks and considered a starter. In fairness, a table of 16-20 followed us in so the wait person may have been doing us a favor. But it did influence my four star rating. Otherwise I'd have given 5 stars. Great care was taken when wait person checked for allergies. Not just asked, but noted and went to the kitchen to confirm. During the meal, flatware was changed out between courses, water refilled without disruption and the order arrived on time and all at one time. Our group enjoyed the halibut, salmon, and chicken bacon meatball items. Everyone loved their meals. A few of us ordered and split salads. We passed on desserts. The menu range may not be pages long, but all the usual suspects are there; salads, fish, poultry, beef, and pasta. And I know the chef rotates items on the menu. I encourage you to plan ahead. Reservations fill up days in advance. I think you'll find it worth the extra planning. PS my ratings are adjusted for the type of venue. These are not Michelin stars.

One ordered fries and one a salad, again, to split. That TK Mortadella was sooo good! Amazing blend of flavors on delicious house-made focaccia.
