I can't speak for the coffee portion, as I was only there to purchase something to satisfy my sweet tooth. I also can't recall what kind of chocolate cake I purchased, but the piece was so, sooooooo, tiny. Maybe I'm just used to honkin' slices of cake for like $10, but ‍‍‍ I was like damnnnn, that's expensive for this itty bitty rectangle. Anyway, it was supposed to have espresso in it. Chocolate, espresso, mousse-- all things I love. Surprisingly was not my favorite. Maybe I'm just not boujee enough, who knows lol! The macaron, however, I would give a solid 5 stars. It was lemon blueberry and I wish I would have bought flavors more to try. It had this glob of fresh blueberry something in the very middle that was divine! I was visiting Raleigh and wanted to try a place with yummy dessert! Lucettegrace was adorable and I loved the story behind the name! I've never had such decadent desserts before and was extremely impressed. Each dessert was packaged in a neat little togo box! This made everything easy for transport and kept the dessert intact to bring home. The l'reviensa was is my absolute favorite treat of the day! Layers of mousse, chocolate, and brownie! [Coronavirus review] Open for takeout; there was a capacity limit but given how creepy and deserted downtown Raleigh presently is, I wasn't in danger of pushing them over it. The selection of pastries and macarons made choosing difficult. Fortunately, I was buying for a group so I basically ordered one of everything. The salted caramel brownie I took for myself was luscious, and the cookie was far beyond a normal cookie. The rest of the box disappeared appropriately. I came here to pick up some fresh pastries and they looked beautiful and tasted better than I expected! Im pretty picky about what I like but the blonde brownie was so delicious and unique ( it looked like a cupcake with hard chocolate at the top and some mousse in the middle and brownie at the bottom) and the almond croissant was so tasty. My mom stole some of the pastries I bought before I got a chance to try the others and she also mentioned it's really good and wants to go back . I wish I took pictures but we are everything so fast. I can't recall the name but I tried a flourless chocolate cake with raspberry (about $8-9). It was beautiful to look at and the presentation was certainly there but it just tasted alright. True score of 3.5 as it was beautiful and I enjoyed the fresh raspberries but the cake was lacking for me. The shop was nice and I enjoyed the window seats. Lucettegrace is a lovely patisserie in downtown Raleigh. The pastries are delicious, freshly baked and their displays are eye catching. My husband and I chose a few baked goods to take home. Their Pain Au Chocolat was flakey with a delicious chocolate center. The macarons have incredible flavor and are the best ones I've bought in the triangle area. I liked their iced latte, the coffee wasn't bitter and was refreshing for a hot day. The interior is inviting with sunny yellow seating. I've been a long time patron of Lucettegrace and I've really enjoyed this bakery. To start off it's in a unique space (love the window seats!!) and in the heart of downtown making it a frequent for employees of nearby businesses on break. The many bakers there are very talented and friendly and you'll always be treated nicely here. As for the food it's really good! They have amazing pastries and sandwiches and if you're looking for something fancier for your pallet you can indulge in some of the gorgeous cakes and tarts! Sometimes some of the rotating items can be hit or miss but for the most part they stay consistent. Heads up they can be a bit pricy!! The only negative to this place is that its prone to echoing and they often crank the music way up. read more

This place has a cool vibe. Very nice help at the counter. Answered our questions and when we couldn't pronounce "tarte aux agrumes" she reassured us we weren't the only ones haha! We got one of the "Tarte aux agrumes" which is a lemon tart. Phenomenal! We also got the "cacao et cafe" it's basically dark chocolate brownie cakes with some amazing mousse toppings and just I would sell a kidney for a the large one. That's how great it was. So not from NC, I come to visit Raleigh and decide to come to this coffee shop! Service was good, dirty tables, no one cleaned them. I moved some dirty plates and I was told that the table wasn't sanitized. You would think they would come clean it since there was a party of 6 waiting to sit; NOPE! Eventually I asked for napkins and sat down! One thing I didn't like was that the employee used the same gloves to touch everything including our foods, never did he change his gloves. Next order came in and with the same glove he continued, so much for me not sitting on a non-cleaned table right! While enjoying our half ass cappuccino's and chocolate mousse cakes, I needed to make sure that the cake didn't have peanuts (I'm allergic) I went towards the window show case, an old rude man was standing a couple of feet away from where I was heading to. I went around him and look at the ingredients and went bout my way back to my kids. The old rude man screamed at me "there are rules BITCH" of course when I returned his owns words to him he got offended. Eventually, the rude man left! Beware this place not only has poor customer service but also allows WOMEN with Kids to be disrespected! Just in case you run into him here is his pic!!! Items rotate here, so if you really like something, be sure to tell them so they'll keep it around more. The range of items varies from simple croissants and muffins up to multi flavor crème gateaux, such as the current l'reviens, which is a brownie cake base, crème brulee, coffee sponge with irish creme, covered in a dark chocolate glaze. It is rich, decadent and way over the top as a fine pastry should be. At the same time, they also have some full lunch items such as a ham and cheese pastry. The mix of items is eclectic. We ended up getting the strawberry, raspberry, & rhubarb croissant, salted caramel brownie, and a Ukranian inspired sunflower seed flavored macaron. WOW. So the salted caramel brownie is what caught our eyes at first and, while it's good, it was a bit dense. Would be perfect with a scoop of ice cream! The croissant and macaron though? We decided to each order something different and then share. We ordered a coconut frangipane, macaron, la Mia torta, and another dessert. Nothing really stood out about any of the things we tried. Basically, one was a cream puff without the cream, one was a Samoa Girl Scout cookie without the caramel, and the cake was a Ferraro Rocher with cherries and a macaron.
