Multiple items we requested we were told were unavailable. I ordered a beverage the first one on the menu with the egg in it and was told that's their best drink, they brought out something else calling it the knock off of what I ordered. I refused the "Knock Off" drink and sent it back. The drinks took over 20 minutes to deliver and restaurant was empty. I ordered the surf and turf Burrito and it had 2 shrimp in it and a few crumbles of carna asada. The rest of the burrito was full of beans and rice. My friend ordered the 3 taco plate and they brought out what looked like a child's plate. Tiny street tacos for $14. Seriously. Thats a joke. My friend asked to order additional food and the waitress took 15 minutes to comeback to take his additional order. At that time he decided to not order anything else. We got charged for a $25 Chile relleno burrito plate when we ordered a $15 dollar burrito not a plate. . We go to pay and I checked the bill, my $12 drink I didn't even touch was on the bill and another item that we did not order was on our bill. $22 of additional items we didn't order was placed on the bill. Had the waitress remove it and we left. The place looks like it could be fun but they literally did everything possible to have us never come back again. Neat spot that has a great atmosphere and looks to have a nice night life vibe too. The staff was very friendly and courteous. Now- they were out of quite q bit, including some Mexican cuisine staples. Such as chicken, carnitas, chorizo, and quite a bit more. I ordered a burger, after some time I was informed that they had to go get some ground beef too. Needless to say, I didn't go to a Mexican place for a burger, but that's what I ended up with. The burger was decent as were the fries. So that was a plus. I was just passing through, so I'm not sure of this is a common thing or not. But with them expecting a party size of 30, I'd hate to be their server and have to explain that they are out of everything. read more

Not sure why this restaurant has such good reviews. Possibly since we are not locals and don't have a basis of comparison for the rest of the restaurants in town? We stopped in for dinner last Wednesday. There were a group of people sitting at the bar. But no one seated in the restaurant portion (yet). Our waiter was not the bartender. We ordered chicken tacos with beans and rice. They were tiny, flavorless street tacos with a tiny cup of flavorless beans and rice at premium prices that we would expect to see in a big city. We are used to having a waiter refill water glasses, check in occasionally as well as provide silverware when the food arrives. None of those applied when we stopped by to eat here while our car charged next door. Food was mediocre, small portions and an invisible waiter. He brought us to our table, we placed our order, he brought water and one alcoholic beverage. We did not see him again until he dropped off our food, without silverware or napkins. And did not check on us again until he brought the check. I went to the host desk and picked up silverware as well as refilled our own glasses of waters. Would not return. We were looking for a happy hour in town and came across Luchas Tacos. Drove up to it and from the outside wasn't sure what the inside would look like. Well, we were pleasantly surprised it had a cool bar, comfy couches and high top tables. The walls had pictures of wrestlers with masks on them. we arrived around 4:45 and about 5 o'clock they started to put on decorative lights and shut off the overhead lights, which gave a nice warm and inviting atmosphere. Our sweet waitress Brynlee was quick to take our order. My husband ordered the margarita which was on happy hour for six dollars and I ordered the Luna Morada which was $10. I would have to say it was one of the best cocktails I've ever had. We also ordered chips and queso, which was not on the menu. The queso was flavorful and had a good consistency. For dinner, I ordered the chicken burrito which was stuff with chicken, rice and beans. It was served with a side of guac, sour cream and a green chili sauce. My husband ordered the taco plate which consisted of three tacos, rice and beans. We both enjoyed our meals. The food, service and atmosphere was amazing. If you are in town, this is a must stop. read more

The 5 star reviews are a lie. This place is terrible. The servers are the worst people on earth. They will do anything except their jobs. They'll spend the entire time hanging out at the bar ignoring you. The food wasn't terrible but the staff are trash. Go ANYWHERE else in Alamosa and you're basically guaranteed to have a better experience. read more

Stopped in for dinner on Sunday night after doing a quick search for best green chili in Alamosa and saw this spot mentioned. From the outside, it is pretty unassuming but the interior is fun. It's done in a Mexican wrestling theme with fun decor. There is plenty of space with tables, and a lounge area with couches/chairs. It looks like they have events there as well. We had the birria eggrolls and sausage green chili burrito. We also had the paloma aclarado. The egg rolls were fried perfection and such great bites. The burrito was a good size and was tasty. The sausage in it was ground so it had a bit of a breakfast burrito vibe but still yummy. The sour cream that came with it was frozen. Its such a different place for Alamosa, we'll definitely be back to try more of the menu and the specialty drinks! read more

Great location! Totally unexpected for Alamosa. The drinks are creative, recommend the smoked walnut old fashioned. The ambience is just as creative with different areas for seating, bar, couches, tables. There are "vegan" options on the menu which I'm a huge fan of. However there are cheeses on top and the beans are not vegan. Lots of gluten free options. They supposedly have lots of different events. read more

what a hidden gem! We went in with no expectations. It was awesome. The food was quite good but the cocktails are AMAZING. the best Paloma we had ever had. and some really interesting, delicious drinks. The bartender, Collin, makes his own simple syrups and they add a whole new element to cocktails. There were dried limes and cilantro bitters.. I would go here all the time if I lived closer. and everyone in our group felt the same way. If you're within an hour's drive, make a point of getting here. Prices are very reasonable and the level of the cocktails is on par with any super fancy bar in a major city. Probably better. The atmosphere was super fun, and the owner is really nice and low key too. I wish I could come here all the time and try their new creations or fantastic twists on traditional drinks. read more

We were looking for a place to watch the Gold Cup Final and decided to stop in....am I so glad we did. WOW! The food is fantastic. The Chicken tacos and Birria tacos were awesome. The margaritas are some of the best. Craft cocktails were great. Atmosphere is great and loved the decor. TV's? Yep they have you covered on all the tv's you need. Luchador all the way! I had the Disparos and I like it very much, had a Luchador ice cube. My lady had the Tu Madre and didn't really care for it. Food was great, taco plate with carne and shrimp, elote, chips and queso. Everything was delicious. The decor was on brand. Luchador theme throughout. Highly recommend this place. I forgot to take pics of everything. read more

Amazing food and margaritas. The margs tasted super fresh and they don't use sour mix, thank god. Queso was delicious with spicy chips. Tacos were crispy and the ground beef was charred to perfection. Very fresh , it beats any Mexican food from SC. Bartender was very nice and quick. Visited Luchas and all I can say is it is a poor representation of Mexican food. The Tacos were bland and refried beans were terrible. Then my wife and decided to share an alcoholic beverage that took about halfway through the mean to receive. Once we received our drink it had a round ice cube which took up all the space in the glass and did not allow for enough of the drink. Drink way over priced for what you get. The staff was not attentive whatsoever they kept visiting with others at the bar and forgot all about some of the tables. The bartender dressed in black decided to serve shots for himself and other staff members and took shots right in front of everyone saying "good job tonight". I think they can do that with the little amount of alcohol you get with the giant round ice ball that they put in the drink, that allows them to have a drink on the customers dime and drinking on the job so unprofessional and also a safety issue. read more

I ordered a coke to have with my meal and was just handed a can without a glass and ice. The tostada shell was soggy from whole bean juice, not mashed. The meal was served on a wooden platter. I hope they are sterilized after each use. read more

Collin was absolutely amazing, such a great server, very personable and you can tell he genuinely enjoys the work he does. Very good conversation in all points and seemed to genuinely enjoy talking to guests in a way that showed full engagement. The ambiance of the restaurant itself was very unique, not a normal setting we would find back home. Great food and the customers brought the vibe. 10/10 would visit again on our travels. Collin made our experience a truly memorable one and the couches were an amazing touch. For being open only seven month at this point, you could never tell. The theme is a unique and inviting atmosphere different from anything else I've experienced before. I'm not one for reviews but this restaurant truly and genuinely deserved one. If you're not from around the area, as I am, I HIGHLY recommend stopping in just simply for the amazing service and the food had flavor like no other.
